Animation Challenge: Kissing Lips Tutorial by Madlassgrin - Treehouse Treasures

Kissing Lips Signature

This is an easy oldie-but-goodie animated tutorial by Ally (Madlassgrin). No outside filters are needed although Ally uses Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on her text, but that is optional.

This is probably one of the first animated tags I ever made way back in 2005.

I "glassed" my text by following the technique from The End of Magic's Plastic Tutorial. I learned this technique before I got Eye Candy and it's a great technique to learn if you want to create glossy, glassy-like text if you don't a glass filter.

For the text fill I used one of Simply Jill's Gradients, JBrandywine.

Have fun with this one; I can't wait to see your results.

I am excited that you posted this tut. I found my pspimage of the tag I made many years ago and remade my tag.

I want to play with this again, because it was so very long ago that I did this. Thanks for reviving it timber.

I also want to re-do this tutorial and change the display time of my tag, because my first one looks kind of fast

LOL. Note: I've edited my message above to fix the frantic timing of my tag. It looks fine in AS but it wasn't displaying the same way, so I've uploaded my tag to an album here and now it looks the way it does in AS

I just gave it a try and this is cute! I could have sworn I have tried this or something similar WAY BACK. Had fun trying this out!

I enhanced the color of the lips and also of the text colors. I contracted 2 px on the text and used her bevel settings, then duplicated layer, hit delete and filled with a gradient (same colors) and set the blend mode to Burn and lowered opacity to 16%. Frames 1-6 were set to a speed of 13. I had tried it at 15 but thought maybe it was a little slow?? Now I think maybe it would work better :-)
