Sorry I haven't been checking in lately.  Real life has been getting in the way.  

Still have tons of snow, here in Ontario, Canada.  Got one major snow storm a few weeks ago and it was the most we ever had in over 50 years!  Our driveway was almost waist deep and back yard even worst.  We are still trying to recover from it.  It's now slowly melting away but not fast enough for me.  On the other hand....if it starts melting too quickly, we will be hit with flooding problems.  We have been getting lots of rain lately but most of the time it turns into freezing rain so doesn't do much good except make everything extra icy and splippery. It's officially spring but sure doesn't look like it.  It still looks like it's in the middle of winter. I want summer...NOW!  lol

We have no plans for this Easter weekend.  Just stay in, relax and watch tv and hopefully make some time for PSP'ing.  I made this huge pot of veggie soup yesterday so that's all I'm eating all weekend long.  Don't feel like cooking.  lol  Hubby has lots of leftovers to last him a couple of days too.  So we are all set for the next few days. :-)

So, we have rain forecasted all weekend. Late last night, the thunderstorm began and went on through morning. Sometime after 10 AM, I was awakened and saw our Buddy looking at me scared and then I heard the thunder booms. He was shivering with fear. He now wears a diaper (another story) and I saw it was off, so I was frustrated (not at him) because I didn’t want him to have an accident on the bed again. Hubby woke up with our commotion but he was trying to get back to sleep. 

Well, I decided I wanted to keep sleeping too but a few minutes later, we hear a BIG gushing of water! We sort thought it was Buddy (having accident) but it was too loud and he was in bed  with us. Hubby got up from bed and was still groggy and we then found the cause, before he even turned light on. It was coming from our smoke detector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So there it is, LEAKING as if it were a faucet and I am getting frustrated at that because “what now??!!”. We took pictures and video to send our housing agency. I called the emergency line they have and gave info on our situation. Later, I get a texted informing that a worker won’t come in until 1 PM. ONE PM!!!!!!!! 

It was not even 11 AM and we were like UGH!!!! because another thunderstorm was coming in for 12 PM!!!!!!!! And when it came, the leak began again and not only that, we had noticed bubbling on the ceiling during first storm. And this time, there were clusters formed and even near the light fixture (middle of room), which happens to be near our bed. 

Oh! Hubby said the maintenance worker just got here. Wow, ONE hour late from what we were told. 

I dread that we will be told we can’t stay home while work is being done. I don’t want to leave (it is hard for me to get around) and we don’t have anywhere to go. 

Heard worked say he will cut the ceiling and let water drip. But that he won’t be able to get on roof to check and I guess another worker will or is supposed to come. I don’t know. I am frustrated.
