Oggi per fortuna questo manicomio non esiste più. Ma negli anni dopo la prima guerra mondiale .il manicomio saltò alla ribalta , perchè nel 1926, ricoverarono uno smemorato. Appunto lo smemorato di Collegno , un fatto che divise l'Italia intera. La storia non ebbe mai una risposta certa sulla vera identità dei due uomini.

Pare che lo smemorato fosse in realtà il pregiudicato Bruneri e non il professor Canella, ma la moglie di quest'ultimo però riconobbe il Bruneri come suo marito, lo Stato invece no e non legittimò i figli che ne nacquero, per cui il mistero rimane: Bruneri o Canella?? |
