Hi everyone! I recently moved to Queens with my adult son who has developmental disabilities. I’m trying to find a reliable support network or council here. Someone mentioned the queens developmental disabilities council, but I’m not sure how to get connected. Any recommendations?

Welcome to Queens! You’ll be glad to know that Gateway Counseling Center is closely connected with the local community and offers a lot of information on councils and services. Through their website, you can learn how to get involved with the queens developmental disabilities council and access programs designed for individuals and families. They also guide you to resources on advocacy, family support, and inclusive activities—it really helps you feel less alone in this journey.
