OKAY, SO ANYONE with half a brain knows the political situation sucks. But life is not without its bright spots: You're a self- educated, well-off businessman who does get to indulge his strong creative streak - to your financial and social benefit. You travel quite a bit, you're a famous inventor, your writings are popular here and abroad, women love you. All in all, you're enjoying yourself.
But there's something rising in your gorge. Really, it's the simple inability to swallow the establishment pressure to shut up and sit down. It's pissing you off in the worst way because you just know society is supposed to be something more than this. Yeah, you're known for your wit and your sometimes-misleading cynicism, but really, you're an idealist. Yes, you're a practical man. But you want a world that speaks to those ideals.
The thought nags at you. You know what raising your voice will cost you. Even if you still manage to keep your business afloat, your opposition to your country's leaders will brand you a traitor and might split your family apart.
Still, you can't quite shake these unpopular revolutionary ideas. So what do you do about it?
I've always wondered what drove the Founding Fathers to do it, to break off with England. Society tends toward the status quo; it seems rather improbable that all of these powerful visionaries even met, let alone agreed. Who would believe a group of well-to-do businessmen, civic leaders and farmers would begin a movement that would eventually change the entire world?
I have a special fondness for Benjamin Franklin, who played such a pivotal role in the American Revolution. (Okay, he was born in Boston, but he chose Philadelphia, as I once pointed out to a Boston friend.) Like me, he had little formal education and was self-taught. It was only a few years ago I found out he, too, looked to the stars for guidance. His insights led him to the forefront of the movement for independence.
As a child, I'd wander the city streets with a historical map in hand. I always lingered at Franklin's burial site where, following tradition, children threw pennies on the grave. ("A penny saved is a penny earned.") A few blocks away is Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776.
I'm a real history geek. So perhaps you can imagine how I felt when, several years ago, an asbestos removal project called for the removal of all the furniture from the hall where the Continental Congress was held, and our tour guide allowed us to walk through the normally off-limits area. I stood there on the platform where the Declaration was signed; I could actually feel the presence of those daredevil souls.
How did they take that final leap of faith?
Philadelphia, then the nation's capital, was a hotbed of revolutionary fervor. (Elizabeth Griscom Ross, the feisty upholsterer credited with sewing the first American flag, was also a founding member of the Free Quaker Meeting -- dissident Quakers who supported the Revolution.)
The city was bitterly split by the debate over whether to break with England. (Many of the town's leading Quakers were prosperous merchants who weren't eager to trade the British pound for worthless scrip issued by the Continental Congress.) Like the Vietnam war, the arguments split many families at the seams: Franklin's son William, royal governor of New Jersey, actively supported the British and his father never forgave him for it.
But here's the interesting part, ignored by mainstream historians: The adopted Philadelphian, the man responsible for so many modern innovations, was also a dedicated astrologer. In the context of the time, it wasn't even surprising.
In 1690, the Chapter of Perfection, an esoteric astrological community in Germantown, Pennsylvania (now part of northwest Philadelphia) was founded by John Kelpius.
Grounded in the work of European Rosicrucians and Freemasons, the group was an offshoot of a secret order in London called the Masonic Rite of Perfection, which involved John Jacob Zimmerman and Jane (Ward) Lead, former members of the original Philadelphians, a mystic cult inspired by Jakob Boehme in Germany.
Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were all influenced by those same esoteric astrologers.
"Much of their work centered on selecting the 'best times, ideas, designs of seals and monuments, to initiate activities that would lead to the creation of a nation powerful enough to withstand the attempts of Britain, the world superpower, to regain its prized colonies'. Egyptian magic is evident." ("Washington D.C.'s Astrological Secrets").
David Ovason, author of The Secret Architecture of Our Nation's Capital (Harper Collins), says Washington D.C. is unique; much of the city's original design is firmly grounded in astrology. The planners followed ancient Greek and Egyptian mysteries by aligning the city with a constellation's fixed stars, he says. His book focuses on the 1791 planning of the city's Federal Triangle (the Washington Monument, White House and Capitol building) and the alignment with the three main stars of the constellation Virgo.
In Dell Horoscopes' "Ben Franklin: America's Astrologer-General," Lina Accurso writes:
"Only in books on astrology and its history are you apt to discover Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson (another all-around philosophical and scientific genius) conspired to have the Declaration of Independence adopted on July 4, 1776, rather than on July 2, the date urged by in-a-hurry John Adams. July 2, the Moon was in one of its weakest signs, Capricorn, where it would oppose the Cancer Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. By July 4, the full Moon was safely into Aquarius and well out of opposition to the Sun. Coincidence, historians would scoff. Smart logical planning...
"One of the few 'civilian' books to mention Franklin and astrology on the same page is an old one, Franklin, The Apostle of Modern Times, by Bernard Fay (Little Brown, 1929) To quote him at some length: "Astrology was very much in vogue...It occupied an important place in business, agriculture and private life. Astrology was employed in determining the future of newly born children. The date to choose for a hunt, the propitious period for sowing seed and gathering grapes, the opportune moment for the departure of boats...Wise, serious, and pious people also believed in astrology, for as late as 1728 candidates for Harvard discussed such topics as these: 'Do medical herbs operate by planetary power?' or 'That the heavenly bodies produce changes in the bodies of animals.' And on the eve of the Revolution in 1777, the faculty proposed such subjects as these: 'Is a comet which only appears after many years a foreshadowing of divine wrath rather than a planet that appears daily?'
"Everybody turned to the astrologers, and the publishers of almanacs had an immense public. These little books were the faithful mirrors of the preoccupations of the times."
I'm still starry-eyed when I visit Independence Hall, but the older I get, the more I see the complexities of what once seemed so simple. "History" is only a script rewritten to suit the purposes of those trying to prevail. Now we have a revolution of another kind brewing, and once again, each side paints itself on the side of the angels.
The ideals of freedom held so dear by the Founders are under attack by the same people who claim to protect them. The cynics whom mouth solemn platitudes while trampling on the Constitution are the real enemies of our nation.
Our country has never been perfect, which isn't surprising: Neither were the men who founded it. The United States has often fallen far short of our ideals, but what ideals! At least the Founders were humble enough to look to the stars for guidance.

Sirius, known as the "Dog Star", is the brightest star in the sky. Located in the constellation Canis Major (Biggus Doggus), Sirius is nine times more brilliant than a standard first magnitude star. Canis Major is the larger of two dogs which follow Orion, the Hunter, as he faces Taurus, the Bull (materiality, the fixed earth sign).
The dog days derive their name from the fact that the ancients associated the extreme heat of summer (in the northern hemisphere) with the conjunction of our Sun and Sirius. That is, those who could conceptualize the geometry necessary to understand astronomy and celestial mechanics. It's not every one's cup of tea.
July 4 - January 3
Every year our sun conjoins the star Sirius, at 13.5 degrees Cancer, during the first week in July; that is, as seen from the earth, the sun lies in front of Sirius which lies at the same celestial longitude as the astrological sign of Cancer in the sky. Today, this occurs on July 5th, but it occured earlier in the past, since the background of stars shifts 1 degree every 72 years. We call this the "Precession of the Equinoxes" , and it accounts for the occult significance of the number 72.
Since we celebrate July 4th as the birthday of the US in commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, and we know that the timing of this event has moved three days (or degrees) in the last 210 years, we must presume that either the Founding Fathers were a little off in their celestial reckoning, or that they adjusted their date to account for the slippage into the future.
Interestingly, the major axis of the earth's orbit is such that we are farthest from the sun on July 4th and closest to it on January 3rd each year, so that at the beginning of our current calendar year, the earth lies between the Sun and Sirius, and Sirius culminates (is at it's high point in it's nightly path and dirctly on the north south meridian line) at midnight; that is, the midnight new year's fireworks celebrations serve as a celebration of the meridian passing of Sirius as we pass between it and the sun, while the fourth of July celebrations mark the conjunction of the Sun with Sirius.
Cross-Quarter Days
While the sun makes it's high pass on the globe in late June, it takes six weeks for the northern hemisphere (NH) to reach it's maximum temperature for the year, just as it take six weeks for it to cool all the way down after the December solstice. Statistically, the NH temps peak high on August 6th, and low on February 6th.
The first week of August and February coincide with two of the pagan sabbats; the others two being in early May and Novemeber. These are the cross-quarter days which occur half way between the equinoxes and solstices. The August 6 date marks the middle (peak) of the dog days.]
The beginning of the second week in August is when Ovason points out that the sun sets down Pennsylvania Avenue as seen from the Capitol Building. The Sun also sets there in May. Looking to the southwest from the CB, the sun sets on Maryland Avenue in February and November. Penn and Maryland Avenues depict the cross-quarter days in the DC map.
Ovason introduces us to the idea of the solar arc, that being the movement of the position of the sunrise (or sunset) at sucessive days during what we call "the year", but he wants to focus our attention on just one of the four solar points designated in the map design, the sunset over Penn Ave. in early August.
The square represents the physical. The circle represents the spiritual. All sacred geometers have attempted the impossible: to square the circle (create a square who's perimeter is equal to the circumference of a circle.)
Here is the first of two valiant attempts: This squaring of the circle works with a right triangle that represents the apothem (ZY) - (a line drawn from the base of the center of one of the sides to top of the pyramid), down to the center of the base (ZE), and out to the point where the apothem touches the Earth (EY).

Right across the street from Rockefeller Center in NYC is 666 Fifth Avenue:

666 Fifth Ave was built by the Tishman family in 1957. There is an Isamu Noguchi sculpture in the lobby called Landscape of the Cloud.
In 1989 Ronald and Nancy Reagan retired to 666 St. Cloud Road in the Bel-Air district of Los Angeles. Nancy had the street number changed to 668. Ronald Wilson Reagan has 6 letters in each of the 3 names, making 666 by concatenation.
Here’s another interesting bible quote that resonates with the above cloud imagery. It’s also significant as the only mention of Lucifer in the bible:

Chad Stuemke’s brilliant analysis of the city of Detroit reveals that Isamu Noguchi’s fountain at the center of Hart Plaza is read literally as a stargate.

Only now do I understand the Noguchi table is a masterful design expressing as above, so below.
Tishman Realty eventually sold 666 Fifth Ave (which has the 6/5 thing going for it too) to Sumitomo, bought it back, and sold it again (now as Tishman Speyer Properties) for $1.8 billion in 2006.
$1.8 billion is the highest price ever paid for an individual building in Manhattan. -Source
The deal turned heads since the building at 483 ft is not even on the list of tallest buildings in New York City. However it is considered a trophy building because of its location on Fifth Avenue across from Rockefeller Center. -Source
In the year 2000 Jerry Speyer (a close friend of David Rockefeller), of Tishman Speyer Properties bought 14 buildings in Rockefeller Center from Mitsubishi for $1.85 billion.
That was quite a deal compared to the price of 666 Fifth Avenue. Think about that. 14 buildings and 8 million square feet of prime Manhattan real estate for the price of this rather unassuming “trophy.”
666 Fifth Avenue used to have three 6′s displayed at the top of the building and its penthouse was occupied by the Top of the Sixes restaurant (long gone now). Today the building has the Citgroup logo on its top as Citigroup is the building’s largest tenant.

Traveling from sea to shining sea, the number 666 reminds me of 666 Filbert Street, the address of the Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco which is known as “The Italian Cathedral of the West.”

Incidentally Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio posed for photographs on the steps of this church after their civil ceremony in 1954. 666 Filbert is featured on the front page of the Transamerica Pyramid’s website (probably for several reasons). I have a lot to say about the Transamerica Pyramid in my San Francisco episode.
Speaking of pyramids, I analyzed the structure of the Louvre Pyramid in my Paris Part 1 video and discovered it has 666 symbolic rhombi in its design (not panes of glass as is commonly and incorrectly reported).

Cergy-Pontoise is a new town built in the 1960′s consisting of 12 communes built next to the original settlement of La Pontoise.

The place is loaded with secrets in plain sight and deserves it own post (or even a book), but I’ll really have to restrain myself and just point out a few things that relate to the current post.
Cergy was officially laid out with a Major Axis and a Minor Axis (this is even shown in the town’s signage). The point where the axes meet is called the Place of the columns Hubert Renaud which was designed by the famous architect Ricardo Bofill.
“Its origin is a tower, known as the “Tour Belvédère”, which is a phenomenal structure, rising to a height of 36 metres. Originally, the now square tower – with sides of 3.6 metres each – was going to be circular. It sits in the centre of a semi-circle of buildings, and at the centre of a ring of 360 paving stones, each 36 centimetres big. At its foot, the axis commences, cutting its way through an opening between the two semi-circular buildings, the passage having a width of 3.6 metres. The ancient Egyptians recognized 36 constellations. They divided the year into 36 decans, or 10 day weeks, plus a festival of 5 or 6 days at the end of the year, recalling 6/5. The French tried to bring back this method of reckoning time with the French Republican Calendar but it didn’t survive when the political pendulum swung back the other way.

As I mentioned in my Red Ice interview, Cergy’s major axis points to the French Pentagon. What I didn’t tell you is that Cergy’s minor axis points to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, 810 miles from the North Pole. This seems a bit overkill when we already have local community seed savers unless someone (maybe from the French Pentagon?) is planning for a global disaster. Chilling plans.

I feel that 666 is somehow related to all nine repeating series of 3 digits such as the 77.7 square kilometers of Cergy-Pontoise, the London Eye’s 444′ height or the fact that 555′ = 6660″. Recall from my videos and posts that the Millennium Tower in Portsmouth, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and the Washington Monument in DC all use this latter measure in their designs.
In Babylonian sexagesimal (base 60) 111 = 666 in base 10.
This reminds me of the magic square of the Sun. Every row and column adds up to 111. I mentioned this in my Esoteric Astronomy video by the way. Everything is so interconnected.
Computing the total of the rows or columns leads to 666. Speaking of computation, the original Apple-1 computer sold for a very interesting price:
Wozniak is said to have chosen the price $666 and Jobs appended 66 cents to the total making it the digits entirely repetitive. Both have denied any significance to the price however. I beg to differ.

Who gave Eve the Apple that she took a bite out of (Apple Computer’s corporate logo)? How better to represent the light bearer than with a rainbow (Apple’s old logo from the 80s-90s)? The logo in the 1976 advertisement above features Isaac Newton sitting under the tree that dropped the famous apple on his head. Newton is said to have been enlightened by this event which occurred in the year 1666.
Newton was the first to split light into a rainbow using a prism and there is so much more to Newton than scientists would have you believe as I mention in my Stonehenge episode, and later in this post.
Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple Computer is a sworn member of the Scottish freemasons. Wozniak describes his impetus for joining the Freemasons as being able to spend more time with his wife at the time, Alice. Alice belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, [which allows female members and is] associated with the Masons. -Source

The World Wide Web that I’m presently looking at with an Apple computer was invented at CERN. The English letter W is equivalent to the Hebrew letter Waw:
So www is equivalent to 666 in terms of gematria and position within the Hebrew alphabet. Makes you think twice about www.domain.com.

The name Cergy is the mirror of Ygrec. The French call the letter Y “y-grec”, meaning the Greek or Pythagorean Y which symbolizes the choice between good or evil. Note how the Phoenician equivalent of waw is a Y.

Among other things, scientists at CERN are working on anti-gravity.
In the January 5, 2007 issue of Science (page 74), the report “Atom Interferometer Measurement of the Newtonian Constant of Gravity” (J. B. Fixler, G. T. Foster, J. M. McGuirk, and M. A. Kasevich) describes a new more accurate measurement of Newton’s gravitational constant.
According to the abstract: “Here, we report a value of G = 6.693 × 10^−11 cubic meters per kilogram second squared, with a standard error of the mean of ±0.027 × 10^−11.”
G = 6.666 x 10^-11 cubic meters per kilogram second squared is within the tolerance of error. Perhaps this is the true value of Newton’s gravitational constant?
I think Newton would be pleased with the latest scientific results. Newton couldn’t calculate G precisely due to the state of science in his day. The first test to determine G was conducted by Cavendish 111 years after Newton’s Principia was published.
Recall from my Great Pyramid video that Newton was both an alchemist and Grandmaster of the Priory of Sion who invented the first temperature scale that went from 0 to 33 degrees. Perhaps Newton’s G is the another meaning to the iconic freemasonic symbol? The Scottish freemasons do have 33 degrees after all.
Speaking of Sion, the Pope’s claim to authority literally comes from the Donation of Constantine, a Roman imperial decree by which the emperor Constantine supposedly transferred authority over Rome and the western part of the Roman Empire to the Pope.
During the Middle Ages, the document was often cited in support of the Roman Church’s claims to spiritual and earthly authority.
