Phi (Φ) and pi (Π) and Fibonacci numbers can be related in several ways:

 The Pi-Phi Product and its derivation through limits

The product of phi and pi,

is found in golden geometries:

Ed Oberg and Jay A. Johnson have developed a unique expression for the pi-phi product (pΦ) as a function of the number 2 and an expression they call “The Biwabik Sum,”a function of  phi, the set of all odd numbers and the set of all Fibonacci numbers, as follows:

 

Phi = 2² {1 + [ (2/3) / (F1+F2 Phi) + (1/5) / (F3+F4 Phi) - (1/7) / (F5+F6 Phi) ]
  -  [ (2/9) / (F7+F8 Phi) + (1/11) / (F9+F10 Phi) - (1/13) / (F11+F12 Phi) ]
  + [ (2/15) / (F13+F14 Phi) + (1/17) / (F15+F16 Phi) - (1/19) / (F17+F18 Phi) ]

  = 5.083203692….

 

This relationship was derived after Oberg noticed an interesting relationship between pi and phi while contemplating geometric questions related to the location of the King and Queen’s burial chambers in the Great Pyramid, Cheops, of Giza, Egypt, the design of which is based on phi.You can access the complete paper published by Ed Oberg and Jay A. Trigonometric functions relating phi (Φ) and pi (Π)

Divide a 360° circle into 5 sections of 72° each and you get the five points of a pentagon, whose dimensions are all based on phi relationships.

Accordingly, it shouldn’t be too surprising that phi, pi and 5 (a Fibonacci number) can be related through trigonometry:

Or, a much simpler way involving, contributed by Dale Lohr:

Pi = 5 arccos (.5 Phi)

Note:  The angle of .5 Phi is 36 degrees, of which there are 10 in a circle or 5 of in pi radians.

Alex Williams, MD, points out that you can use the Phi and Fives relationship to express pi as follows:

5arccos((((5^(0.5))*0.5)+0.5)*0.5) = pi

Robert Everest discovered that you can express Phi as a function of Pi and the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the Fibonacci series:

Phi = 1 – 2 cos ( 3 Pi / 5)


Pi squared (Π²) and 987

Pi squared (Π²) is 9.8696…, which, if you round to 9.87 and ignore the decimals, is 987, the 17th number of the Fibonacci series. (Contributed by William Erman.)

yes as you also can multiply 21 * 13 and add it to 34 * 21 to make 987 which are the number 7th 8th and 9th of the Fibonacci series.

PI = 1.2 PHI^2=3.1416

I found this relationship while studying the work of Rene Schwaller de Lubicz. He had discovered in the measurements of PI and PHI, where both numbers governed it’s PI shape. Over the course of 15 years he measured the Luxor Temple in Egypt and showed that Egypt had a sound knowledge of phi and pi long before the Greeks. Ref his colossal work Temple of Man.
I then found this website as I wanted to delve into the relationship further.

Localización de Filipos.

Filipos (latín Philippi, griego Φίλιπποι, Phílippï) fue una ciudad de Macedonia oriental fundada por Filipo II de Macedonia, que le dio su nombre (antes se llamaba Crénides, latín Crenides, es decir, lugar de las fuentes, por las diversas fuentes del río Angites). Cerca había minas de oro, especialmente las de Asyla. Estaba cercana al río Gangas o Gangites.

Orígenes[editar · editar código]

Filipos es una fundación del rey de Macedonia, Filipo II, en el lugar de la colonia tasia de Crénides (Κρηνἱδες), en el valle del monte Orbelos (nombre antiguo del monte Lekani), en el borde norte de la marisma que ocupaba en la antigüedad toda la llanura que lo separaba del monte Pangeo al sur.

El objetivo de esta fundación era tanto tomar el control de las minas de oro vecinas como establecer una guarnición en un punto de paso estratégico: el sitio controlaba la ruta entre Anfípolis y Neápolis, un segmento de la gran carretera real que atravesaba de este a oeste, Macedonia y que será más tarde reconstruida por los romanos bajo el nombre de Vía Egnatia

Filipo II dotó a la nueva ciudad de importantes fortificaciones, que cortaban en parte el paso entre las marismas y el Orbelos, y envío allí colonos. Hizo emprender el saneamiento de las marismas, de lo que da testimonio al escritor Teofrasto. Filipos conservó una verdadera autonomía dentro del Reino macedonio: una ciudad con sus propias instituciones políticas (ekklesía del demo). El descubrimiento de nuevas minas de oro cerca de la ciudad, en Asyla, contribuyó al enriquecimiento del reino de Filipo II, que estableció allí un taller monetario. La integración definitiva de la ciudad en el reino macedonio tendría lugar bajo Filipo V.

La ciudad fue a pesar de todo de tamaño modesto (¿2.000 habitantes?): cuando los romanos destruyeron definitivamente el reino argéada de Macedonia en 167 a. C. y lo dividieron en cuatro estados distintos (merides), fue Anfípolis y no Filipos la designada como capital del estado de Macedonia oriental.

No se conoce nada o casi nada de la ciudad en esta época, excepto el recinto, el teatro, los cimientos de una casa bajo el foro romano, un pequeño templo y sobre todo un heroón (templo consagrado a un héroe). Este monumento recubre la tumba de un tal Exekestos quizás situada en el ágora, y ligada al culto de κτίστης (ktístès) (héroe fundador) de la ciudad.

Hacia el 400 a. C. pasó a Tasos. Después pasó a Filipo II que explotó las minas y obtenía 1000 talentos al año. Después de la conquista macedonia de Anfípolis, Pidna y Potidea, la ciudad fue agrandada y fortificada para defenderla de las tribus tracias.

Época romana[editar · editar código]

Fue visitada en algunas ocasiones por el apóstol Pablo (49, 56 y 57). Cuando Macedonia fue dividida en dos provincias por Teodosio el Joven, Filipos fue la capital de Macedonia Primera.

La ciudad reaparece en las fuentes con ocasión de la guerra civil romana que siguió al asesinato de Julio César. Sus herederos Marco Antonio y Octavio se enfrentaron a los partidarios de la República, Marco Junio Bruto y Cayo Casio Longino, en una doble batalla decisiva en la llanura al oeste de la ciudad en octubre de 42 a. C.
Un bando estaba dirigido por Augusto y el otro por Bruto; en un primer combate este último venció, pero en el segundo, veinte días después, fue derrotado. Vencedores, Marco Antonio y Octavio licenciaron una parte de sus veteranos, probablemente de la legio XXVIII, los cuales se instalaron en la ciudad, refundada como colonia romana bajo el nombre de Colonia Victrix Philippensium.

Augusto le dio entonces, (41 a. C.) el rango de colonia (Colonia Victrix Philippensium) con derecho italiano. En 30 a. C., Octavio reorganizó la colonia y procedió a un nuevo licenciamiento de veteranos, quizás de pretorianos y de italianos: la ciudad tomó el nombre de Colonia Iulia Philippensis, convertido en Colonia Augusta Iulia Philippensis después de enero de 27 a. C., cuando Octavio recibió él mismo el nombre definitivo del Senado.

 

Época paleocristiana[editar · editar código]

Pablo habría visitado la ciudad en otras dos ocasiones, en 56 y 57. La epístola a los filipenses dataría de 54-55 y testimonia el impacto inmediato de la palabra paulina. El desarrollo subsecuente del cristianismo en Filipos está bien atestiguado, sobre todo por una carta de Policarpo de Esmirna dirigida a la comunidadd filipense hacia el 160, y por la epigrafía funeraria.

El parentesco del plano y de la decoración arquitectónica de la basílica B con Santa Sofía y Santa Irene de Constantinopla otorgan un lugar privilegiado a esta iglesia en la historia del arte paleocristiano. El complejo episcopal que toma el lugar de la Basílica de Pablo a partir del siglo V, construida alrededor de una iglesia octogonal, rivaliza también con las iglesias de la capital.

I have spent my entire adult life pursuing an answer for the meaning of this life and have always had an insatiable appetite for trying to understand this existence. I undertook this journey of discovery for many years knowing full well that there might not even be an answer to the big questions we all ask at some point in our lives:

  • Why are we here?
  • Is there a meaning to life?
  • What happens when we die?
  • Where did we come from?
  • Is there a God?

This pursuit led me into inquiring into many subjects – I have dabbled in physics, theology, philosophy, history, archaeology, astronomy, etc. This yearning to understand the nature of reality and our place in it reached a fever pitch within the last few years and my passion and constant drive to find my own personal truths led me straight into the heart of mathematics and geometry.

I undertook the study of mathematics within the last few years of my life and concentrated on it very heavily because I felt that mathematics held within its workings the answers to many of the mysteries and enormous questions surrounding the nature of our reality. Through immersing myself in mathematics and geometry, I came to understand that mathematics was indeed a language – one that has been shared by all advanced cultures in all epochs of time. After working with simple mathematical principles, mainly adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, I started to communicate with it, started listening to what it had to tell me and realized that beneath the seemingly insurmountable study of math, the core of its structure was simple, beautiful and held within it the patterns and essence of our creation. Like many, my experience with mathematics in high school was extremely off-putting. Math wasn’t something of cosmic import or something you could adore, appreciate or even, dare I say, have fun with, math was a headache and was something only brainiacs and bookworms pursued.

During my numerical studies I ended up utilizing certain mathematical principles considered highly esoteric and numerological, such as decimal parity or digital root (something we will explore in depth in this article), mirroring numbers and number symbolism. Many contemporaries consider such methods as pseudo-scientific, but by employing these methods the numbers themselves seemed to be transmitting higher realms and orders of information. From where I sat, there seemed to be a whole enchilada of goodies and gems hiding just beneath the surface of number. And due to my inherent inability to “let sleeping dogs lie” If you will, I fully intended to dig up those gleaming bits of wisdom and truth and gaze at their glory.

Let me put my cards on the table, I am an outsider. I am auto-didactic and I learned everything I know about mathematics, geometry and gematria on my own, being highly influenced by many writers and researchers both new and old. The likes of Marko Rodin, Scott Onstott, John Michell, Robin and Richard Heath, Michael S. Schneider, John Anthony West, R.A. Schwaller De lubicz, Laird Scranton, Manly P. Hall and Santos Bonacci, to name just a few, were instrumental in helping me pursue the line of thinking that has led me to the discoveries I have put forth today. I am deeply indebted to these people and many others and without these scholarly heroes making enormous strides in their work, I would not be here writing this blog and putting forth my videos and books. That is a fact.

Coming in through the side door, having no professional experience and having no accreditations from any university has put me in a position to not be taken seriously by contemporary higher institutions of learning, by scientists or by scholars of all sorts – but it has also gifted me the blessing of having a fresh perspective on the world of language and math. My limited experience at the university level taught me that so many institutions of higher learning wish only to regurgitate the paradigm of knowledge accepted at the time. Most modern school systems do wish to push the boundaries or break the molds. Within mathematics, I saw an entire world left to be discovered – unchartered waters that our current system of thought was not willing to even send a little skiff out into. Upon getting my sea legs in mathematics, I in turn found myself getting drenched with the beauty of sacred number and sacred geometry.

My goal in my on-going web series and within my books has been to try to merge mathematics and spirituality and relate them directly to the human being. Self-centered as it may sound, the question that I consistently asked was “What does all this have to do with me?” Through my own personal experience with number, and years of pursuing a personal philosophy and a certain line of thinking, I saw many correlations between theology, mythology, philosophy and the sciences. These subjects didn’t seem like separate entities but rather different aspects of an interwoven whole – a whole that could be intuited, grasped and understood with the magic of numbers. I had no set beliefs going into my pursuit. I wasn’t agnostic, atheist, Christian, Muslim or Jewish. I was not and am not a Freemason, a member of any sort of  underground or secret society, I don’t consider myself democrat or republican and I am not specialized in any particular field of research. The only thing I can honestly say is that I was open-minded and discerning about all the information I had accrued and gathered over the years and that mindset turned out to be the most important philosophy I ever undertook in my life.

The Golden Ratio PHI – A Key to Unlock the Heavens and Earth

Within the word philosophy consists of one of the most important mathematical ratios of all known by the ancient Greeks as Phi and Phee (PHI – loso – PHEE). Phi and its counterpart Phee are deemed the Golden Mean, the Golden Proportion and the Golden Ratio. This ratio is the number 1.618 and is the number upon which all of nature performs her balancing act. The word “mean” is defined as “occupying a position between two extremes” and it is within this number that all of nature blooms into magnificence. Through the very word philosophy, our ancestors were trying to guide us in our thinking, informing us that in order to truly pontificate, ponder, ruminate and ultimately understand the workings of our cosmos, one would need to immerse himself in the power of number. Phi was not just some arbitrary number or ratio somehow manifested through mindless chaotic universal construction but a key to unlock the door to certain universal truths within the sacredness of the Heavens and Earth.

The ratio of Phi is understood mathematically as the total length “a + b” is to the length of the longer segment “a” as the length of “a” is to the length of the shorter segment “b”.

From the bottom of your feet to your navel equals 1 and the navel to the top of your head equals .618, making you, the complete man, approximately 1.618. From your elbow to your wrist equals 1 and your wrist to the end of your middle finger equals .618, making your complete arm, roughly 1.618.

This ratio constructs the human temple and is a tool to help one recognize that the human being is indeed a balance or mean between the two extremes of the as above and the so below. You are the central balancing node between the Heavens above and the Earth below. The Golden Mean is a ratio to help establish meaning in your life. It is there to help you understand this world rationally.

By contemplating these two eternal concepts you may just come to the UNDERSTANDING that they balance each other by nothing more and nothing less than yourself.” – Claudia Pavonis

We can find the Golden Ratio within the Fibonacci Sequence. The Fibonacci Sequence is a sequence that was rediscovered in the 13th century by the French mathematician Leonardo of Pisa, also known as Leonardo Fibonacci. The sequence was originally formed to calculate how rabbits multiply when they mate. The series grows accruing terms that come from within itself, taking nothing from outside the sequence of growth. This pattern spirals as it grows to fruition. This spiral pattern is evident all throughout nature: tornadoes, sunflowers, ocean waves and pine cones all form from this fundamental sequence. From the first term, 0 the Fibonacci Sequence grows by simple addition.

By taking a number later in the sequence and dividing it by its predecessor we can find our holy ratio of 1.618. Example: 144 / 89 = 1.618…. Many people nowadays are familiar with the Fibonacci Sequence and this will undoubtedly be a review for many readers. Even if you are not familiar with the sequence, you have surely seen its wonders play out in the world. Even your credit cards and IDs are created by the ratio of Phi.

ML_CC_PhiWe can also find this ratio within the balancing number in our number line, the number 5. The number 5 is the balancing point between the numbers 0 and 10 (or 1 and 9).

ML_number5 A Pentagram (penta meaning 5) encodes 1.618 as well if we measure the smaller half of one of the arms of the star, it will proportion out to .618 with the larger half being 1. Human beings are constructed using the number 5. We have 5 senses, 5 fingers on each hand, 5 toes on each foot and 5 extensions from our torso. Phi and Phive are intimately linked to the construction of the human being.

The Holy Number 108

In this article, we will be exploring in depth the very holy number 108 and its relationship to the Fibonacci sequence and the number 5. If you notice above, the number 108 is the number of degrees between the top arms of the pentagram. The number 108 is a number that has shown its face time and time again throughout history and is, in the opinion of this author, a key vertex in the archetypal architecture of our creation. What is so important about this number? In both Pi – The Great Work and Pi & The English Alphabet Vol. 1 I highlight some of the many places this number shows its face. They are listed below:

  • There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet, and each has masculine and feminine (shiva and shakti) qualities. 54 times 2 equals 108.
  • The Indian Subcontinent rosary, or set of mantra counting, has 108 beads.
  • In the Krishna tradition, there were said to be 108 gopis of Krishna
  • The radius of the Moon is 1,080 miles.
  • The number 108 is used in Islam to refer to God.
  • The Chinese Buddhists and Taoists use a 108 bead mala, which is called su-chu, and has 3 dividing beads, so the mala is divided into three parts of 36 each.
  • The Sikh tradition has a mala of 108 knots tied in a string of wool, rather than beads.
  • There are 9 planets in the Solar System and 12 ages of the Zodiac. 9 x 12 = 108.
  • Atman, the human soul or center, goes through 108 stages on the journey.

There are many more examples of where this number 108 shows its face but these few are enough to make us ask the questions;

  • Why 108?
  • Where did this number come from?
  • Why is it so special and consistently seen across the world?
  • Why does it seem to be attached to spiritualties such as Sikh, Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism?

We are going to find this Holy 108 within the spiraling unfolding Fibonacci sequence. It is interesting to note the similarities between the words SPIRitual and SPIRal.

Decimal Parity

In the last article we briefly touched on the ancient numerological practice known as decimal parity. Decimal parity is a method not used in contemporary mathematics but is one that was utilized by mystics, magis, astrologers and spiritual philosophers of the past. Termed decimal parity, digital root, Pythagorean addition, Kabbalistic reduction and Theosophical addition, this technique breaks any number down to the numbers 1 – 9 and in doing so allows one to view not just the quantity, but the quality and essence of a number as well.
The modern approach to math does not allow for such “numeric trickery”.  Modern science and mathematics leaves basically no room for interpretation or for a philosophical understanding of number itself. Numbers were not created by man – numbers are the creation of nature and of the divine and the more ways we can understand this natural language, the more we will understand our Earth, our cosmos and ourselves. Simply put, decimal parity gives us another way of speaking the language of God.

So how exactly does decimal parity work?
Decimal parity is simple. No matter how large or complex the number, we can break it down to its decimal or digital root.

For example, let’s look at the number 987,654,321. By combining the individual digits of this number, we can find its digital root by utilizing one of the most basic mathematical principles of all; addition.
9 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 45 and 4 + 5 = 9
Therefore the essence, quality or decimal parity equivalent of 987,654,321 is 9.

Let’s try another. Let’s find the decimal parity equivalent of the number 361.
3 + 6 + 1 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1
Therefore the essence, quality or decimal parity equivalent of 361 is 1.

We can now take this technique over to the Fibonacci sequence to see what this mighty sequence has to offer us. Shown below is the graphic for the breakdown of the Fibonacci sequence but this time with its decimal parity equivalents highlighted in green. Notice 13 now becomes 4, 21 becomes 3, 34 becomes 7, etc.

ML_decimalParityIf we continue this process out, we will find a repeating string of 24 digits within the Fibonacci Sequence being the following:

(0), 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3, 7, 1, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2, 8, 1

This pattern of numbers will repeat itself ad infinitum due to the Fibonacci sequence’s self-generated process of growth with the only variation being the first term, or the digit ZERO. The first term in the sequence is a zero in the first cycle but becomes a 9 every cycle thereafter. (0/9) This difference is shown and highlighted below:

First sequence –
(0), 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3, 7, 1, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2, 8, 1
Every sequence thereafter –
(9), 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3, 7, 1, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2, 8, 1

We will not be going over the math here due to space constraints but if you would like to see the math, I have it highlighted in my book Pi – The Great Work, page 45. The first 24 numbers of the Fibonacci Sequence – before Decimal Parity reduction are:

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, 4181, 6765, 10946, 17711, 28657.

With, once again, its decimal parity equivalents being:

(0), 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3, 7, 1, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2, 8, 1.

If we add these 24 digits up, we find our holy number 108.

0 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 5 + 8 + 4 + 3 + 7 + 1 + 8 + 9 + 8 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 4 + 1 + 5 + 6 + 2 + 8 + 1 = 108

This sequence has been independently confirmed by several other scholars. Scott Onstott of www.secretsinplainsight.com and Jain of  www.jainmathemagics.com have both calculated this sequence. I came to find this through my own studies and it should be noteworthy to the reader that due to the fact that this number shows its face time and time again in many different cultures, we can easily conclude that this sequence has been re-discovered by many seekers throughout the ages. Luckily for our current age, this mathematical jewel is beginning to show its face again from the depths of obscurity, just quite possibly to remind us of the harmonious and simplistic nature in which the divine wishes to speak to us.

Metatron’s Cube

The spiral or spiritual nature of the Fibonacci sequence, as it unfolds, wishes to inform us about the cyclical nature of the cosmos. Planets, stars, galaxies, seasons and even life and death itself are cyclical. Since the Fibonacci sequence wishes to inform us about the power of spirals, let’s wrap this sequence around a circle. In doing this, we can connect our starting number ZERO to the numbers in the sequence divisible by 3 with those being 3, 3, 9, 6 and 6. Notice these numbers are separated by three numbers between them, showing us the power of the Trinity within the Fibonacci sequence. Connecting these numbers, we can actually form what is known as the Seal of Solomon or Star of David. We can also construct what is known in sacred geometry as Metatron’s Cube. Metatron is mentioned in the Pseudepigrapha and most prominently in the Hebrew Merkabah Book of Enoch. The book describes the link between Enoch, son of Jared (great grandfather of Noah) and his transformation into the angel Metatron. His grand title was “the lesser YHWH”.

Metatron’s Cube is a two-dimensional geometric figure created from 13 equal circles. 6 circles are placed in a hexagonal pattern around a central circle with 6 more extending out along the same radial lines. It is 12 spheres around 1, reflecting the 12 hours of a clock as well as Jesus and his 12 disciples and the 12 ages of the zodiac around our sun. Metatron’s Cube is considered one of the most holy of the ancient sacred geometrical symbols and one that encodes the 5 Platonic solids. The Platonic solids are the 5 polygons that can be constructed within a sphere and are named after the Greek philosopher Plato. Metatron’s Cube is directly related to the Holy 108 of Phi as shown below.

But this is not the only place we can find our Holy 108!

We can also use the cipher for the English Alphabet to find three key places in which our holy 108 wishes to show its face. Once again, the cipher is shown below.

ML_EngGemSince we are dealing with simple mathematics, we can use our cipher on the four basic mathematical principles everyone is well acquainted with, mainly adding subtracting, multiplying and dividing. When we use the cipher on the phrase “ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY AND DIVIDE” we find it sums to none other than 108.

Quite interesting but is this merely a coincidence?

One of the most prominent angles, the semi-circle, or ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DEGREES finds us at that holy number 108 yet again!

It would seem that the number 108 is hiding just beneath the surface of so many important mathematical principles. In the opinion of this author, this is not a coincidence and invariably shows the occult nature of our reality. Occult means hidden and the mystics and spiritually advanced people of the past absolutely understood that lying just below the thin veneer of our everyday reality exists a beautiful matrix of simple number patterns. By “reading between the lines” of number, one is allowed access to the flowing oceanic numeric tides within the mind of God. Even St. John wanted to tell us about this number in his most cryptic verse:

13:18 – Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Six hundred three score and six translates to the number 666. Using the English cipher, we can find what else was intended, or occulted behind the beastly number 666.
SIX HUNDRED THREE SCORE SIX

*The SOHO spacecraft was used to measure the diameter of the Sun by timing transits of Mercury across the surface during 2003 and 2006. The result was a measured radius of 696,342 ± 65 kilometres (432,687 ± 40 miles). Staying within the margin of error,  measured radius of the Sun is 432,647 miles (or diameter 865,294 miles).

7 x 8 x 9 x 11 x 12 x 13 = 864,864 which is only 0.05%  (430 miles)  smaller than the measured value.
Also, 930 x 930 = 864,900 (only 394 miles less than measured value).

Equatorial Circumference of the Earth: 1,000 x 360 x 365.24 feet
= 131,486,400 feet = 40,077km

Official value for equatorial circumference of the Earth: 40,075 kilometers
That is truly a “cosmic” coincidence !!!

There is more… and the Great Pyramid has these values encoded in its proportions!

The radius of the Moon compared to the Earth is three to eleven, ie. 3:11.

(720 x 21) / 3 = 5040

The ratio 3:11 is 27.3 percent, and the orbit of the Moon takes 27.3 days.
 (Sidereal rotation period 27.321582 d (synchronous).
 27.3 days is also the average rotation period of a sunspot.

Here is another unbelievable “coincidence”:

The Earth is spinning on its axis in a counter-clockwise direction, and rotating around the sun also in a counter-clockwise direction, while the earth’s spinning axis wobbles like a gyroscope in a clockwise direction. As the result,  as the twelve constellations appear to move clockwise along/around the horizon during the course of its annual rotation around the sun during a year, the constellations, from spring or fall equinox to equinox, appear to move counterclockwise at the rate of 72 years/per degree, or one full wobble in 25,920 years (also known as Great Year).of the earth’s axis.
The galactic year is the duration of time required for the Solar System to orbit once around the center of our galaxy (the Milky Way). Estimated length of the galactic year is close to 1000 precession cycles of the Earth.

Fibonacci Sequence, Phi and Pi

 

The golden ratio is an irrational mathematical constant, approximately 1.6180339887.

phi, 1.618 …  is the Golden Ratio in life and the universe.

phi + 1 = phi 2

Phi = 1/phi = 0.618034…
Phi = phi – 1

( 1 + sqrt(5) )/2 = 1.61803 3988…
which is an excellent approximation of Phi

The following formula connects “Pi” (3.14159…)  and “phi ” (1.6180…):

  (6/5 ) x  phi 2 = Pi
or
(12/5) x phi 2 = 2 x Pi

sqrt(phi) nearly equals 4/pi
( 1.272 vs 1.273 )

This Formula is expressed by the numbers describing Pyramids of Giza !!!
Here is how:

Proportions (base to height ratio) of the 1st Pyramid: 11/7
Proportions (base to height ratio) of the 2nd Pyramid: 3/2
Proportions (base to height ratio) of the 3rd Pyramid: 8:/5

(24/10) x phi2 = 2 x Pi

the same formula written with ratios of 3 pyramids:
2 x [ 2 x (11/7)] = (3/2) x (8/5) x phi

Note: the Great Pyramid is a Golden Pyramid: length of the slope side (356) divided by half of the side (440/2 = 220) height is equal to 1.6181818… which is the Golden Ratio Phi

The dimensions of the Earth and Moon are in Phi relationship, forming a Golden Triangle:

The Summation Series (Fibonacci)

The natural progression follows a “summation series” that is known today as the Fibonacci Series [ of course this Series was in existence before Fibonacci (born in 1179 CE) – he simply “re-discovered” it.] The Summation Series is a progressive series, where you start with the first two numbers, then you add their total to generate the next number, and so on. By definition, the first two Fibonacci numbers are 0 and 1, and each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two. The first summation progression:

1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, …

It is worth to note that the first summation (Fibonacci) progression generates  approximation of the golden ratio (PHI):

3/2 =1.5000
5/3 =1.666…
8/5 =1.6000
13/8 =1.6250
21/13=1.6154…
34/21=1.6190…
55/34=1.6176…
89/55=1.61818…
144/89=1.618….

The second of Fibonacci progression (provides approximate geometry of the pentagram and also leads to the golden ratio ‘phi’ )

just like in the above example: 
199/123 = 1.61788…

Jánuca: Los Significados Ocultos del Dreidel

Jánuca y el Dreidel : La Unión de lo Sobrenatural y lo Natural

Encendemos las luminarias de Jánuca para difundir el milagroso poder de Dios que intervino en beneficio de los Macabeos. Los ocho días de Jánuca conmemoran el encendido milagroso de los siete brazos de la Menorá en el Templo Sagrado durante ocho días, conectando de esta manera los números 7 y 8. En la tradición judía, el número 7 representa un estado de perfección natural, por ejemplo el Shabat es el séptimo día de la semana, pero el número 8 representa un estado de perfección sobrenatural, como la circuncisión que es hecha en el niño de ocho días de vida. Entonces Jánuca reúne lo natural con lo sobrenatural, lo finito y lo infinito.

El Baal Shem Tov, fundador del movimiento jasídico, tenía un amor y afinidad especial por Jánuca más que por las otras festividades del año. Esto es así porque las velas de esta festividad representan el don innato del alma judía de esparcir luz e iluminar el mundo entero, incluso las naciones del mundo. El mensaje del Baal Shem Tov diseminado por el alma judía pone de relieve dos conceptos complementarios: que Dios crea la naturaleza de nuevo a cada momento y al mismo tiempo la impregna con un poder sobrenatural. Gracias a esta capacidad de unir lo natural y lo sobrenatural, la luz de las velas de Jánuca dará lugar eventualmente a la redención verdadera y completa.

El Dreidel

Una costumbre judía muy popular es jugar en Jánuca con el dreidel , también llamado trompo, perinola, etc. Juntos adultos y niños se reúnen alrededor de las luces de la menorá, girando la perinola para descubrir qué letra sale. ¿Cuál es el significado profundo de este acto, y qué pensamientos significativos podemos tener en mente mientras jugamos con el dreidel este Jánuca? Como veremos, al tirar la perinola frente a las luces de las candelas, estamos salvando las distancias entre la realidad finita y la infinita.

Las Cuatro Letras del Dreidel

Tradicionalmente el dreidel tiene cuatro caras. Lo primero que notamos es que cada una tiene grabada una letra del alfabeto Hebreo: nun ( נ ), guimel ( ג ), hei ( ה ) y shin ( ש ), las iniciales de la frase “Un gran milagro ocurrió allí”, nes gadol haiá sham . ( Zejariá 6:12)

Es de destacar que el valor numérico de las cuatro letras es 358, el valor numérico de Mashíaj, משיח ! El motivo recurrente que encontramos en los significados ocultos del dreidel , es el Mashíaj y la redención, cambiar el mundo y hacerlo una morada adecuada para el Creador.

En las generaciones pasadas, algunos judíos que vivían en la Tierra de Israel decidieron que era apropiado cambiar la última letra de “allá” (sham) por “aquí” (po), transformando la frase de acuerdo a estas iniciales en “Un gran milagro ocurrió aquí”. Según esta idea, las letras del dreidel, nun, guimel, hei, pei , suman 138, el valor de Menajem, uno de los nombres del Mashíaj de acuerdo con nuestros sabios; y es también el valor de la palabra Tzemaj el nombre del Mashíaj que aparece en el Tana'j “Tzemaj es su nombre…”

Cuando el Cuadrado se transforma en un Círculo

El dreidel tiene la forma de cono, con cuatro caras cuadradas y un cono cuya punta inferior puede dar vueltas. Hacerlo girar causa que sus contornos cuadrados desaparezcan redondeando sus aristas.

Conceptualmente, sus caras y aristas cuadradas representan la lógica matemática y silogística de la antigua Grecia, sobre las cuales triunfaron los Macabeos tanto material como espiritualmente. Los Macabeos, fieles a nuestra fe en un Dios, creían y sobre todo llevaban a la práctica su creencia de que una visión de la vida y la naturaleza basada sólo en el racionalismo humano es insuficiente. Porque hay además un Dios infinito que trae la realidad a la existencia sin límites. Entonces, los contornos redondeados revelados por el dreidel al girar representa el reino de lo Divino, que se manifiesta en forma de milagros, aquellos eventos que no pueden ser comprendidos e incluso a veces no pueden ser percibidos por la mente humana racional. 1

Utilizando la terminología del Jasidut, los contornos redondeados del dreidel girando representa la revelación de la luz abarcadora de Dios, refiriéndose a la energía con la cual el Todopoderoso sostiene la realidad. Este aspecto de Dios es descripto como circular porque Él sustenta a toda la realidad por igual, desde la partícula más diminuta hasta el cúmulo más enorme de galaxias. Así como el círculo no tiene arriba y abajo y todos los puntos de su circunferencia son equivalentes, desde la perspectiva de la luz abarcadora de Dios abarcadora o circundante de Dios, toda la realidad tiene igual importancia y es sostenida permanentemente. Así como Dios establece las leyes de la naturaleza, sólo Él tiene el poder de alterarlas.

En contraposición, la forma cuadrada del dreidel representa la experiencia constante de la luz interior de Dios, refiriéndose a la energía con la cual el Todopoderoso es percibido por nuestra conciencia. En otras palabras, es la capacidad de revelar las diferentes formas en que la Divinidad se inviste en las distintas partes de la naturaleza, según la diferente capacidad de percibir a Dios que tiene cada individuo. Por esta razón, la luz interior de Dios está asociada con una línea recta (como las del contorno de las caras del dreidel ), que tienen un principio y un final, que indica la existencia de una gradación.

La luz abarcadora o circundante (redonda) revela la naturaleza infinita de Dios; la luz interior (cuadrada) revela Su naturaleza finita. Los milagros suceden a partir de la luz abarcadora de Dios, desde Su naturaleza infinita.

Entonces nosotros no somos los únicos que jugamos con el dreidel . En cierto sentido, siempre que ocurre un milagro nos podemos imaginar que Dios también está jugando con Su enorme dreidel cósmico. Al girar este dreidel abstracto, Dios le da vueltas a Su luz interior, a Su naturaleza finita revelada tal como la experimentamos normalmente, difumando las reglas lógicas estrictas que gobiernan la realidad y permitiendo que Su naturaleza infinita se revele. Podríamos decir que Dios está continuamente haciendo girar los milagros en la naturaleza.

Al meditar en el acto de tirar nuestro propio dreidel de madera, nos conectamos e identificamos con lo Divino y demostramos nuestro deseo de ver más allá de la faceta cuadrada y lógica de la naturaleza. Creer y conectarnos con el reino infinito y circular del espacio infinito de Dios. En efecto, meditar en el giro del dreidel tiene el poder de abrir nuestros ojos a los milagros.

El número áureo o de oro (también llamado razón extrema y media,[1] razón áurea, razón dorada, media áurea, proporción áurea y divina proporción [cita requerida]) representado por la letra griega φ (phi) (en minúscula) o Φ (Phi) (en mayúscula), en honor al escultor griego Fidias, es un número irracional:[2]

El número áureo surge de la división en dos de un segmento guardando las siguientes proporciones: La longitud total a+b es al segmento más largo a, como a es al segmento más corto b.

También se representa con la letra griega Tau (Τ τ),[3] por ser la primera letra de la raíz griega τομή, que significa acortar, aunque encontrarlo representado con la letra Fi (Φ,φ) es más común.

Se trata de un número algebraico irracional (su representación decimal no tiene período) que posee muchas propiedades interesantes y que fue descubierto en la antigüedad, no como una expresión aritmética sino como relación o proporción entre dos segmentos de una recta; o sea, una construcción geométrica. Esta proporción se encuentra tanto en algunas figuras geométricas como en la naturaleza: en las nervaduras de las hojas de algunos árboles, en el grosor de las ramas, en el caparazón de un caracol, en los flósculos de los girasoles, etc.

Asimismo, se atribuye un carácter estético a los objetos cuyas medidas guardan la proporción áurea. Algunos incluso creen que posee una importancia mística. Esta iteración es la única donde sumar es multiplicar y restar es dividir. Es también la más simple de todas las fracciones continuas y la que tiene la convergencia más lenta. En el pentagrama[editar]

Los segmentos coloreados del pentagrama poseen proporciones áureas.

El número áureo tiene un papel muy importante en los pentágonos regulares y en los pentagramas. Cada intersección de partes de un segmento se interseca con otro segmento en una razón áurea.

El pentagrama incluye diez triángulos isóceles: cinco acutángulos y cinco obtusángulos. En ambos, la razón de lado mayor y el menor es φ. Estos triángulos se conocen como los triángulos áureos.

Teniendo en cuenta la gran simetría de este símbolo, se observa que dentro del pentágono interior es posible dibujar una nueva estrella, con una recursividad hasta el infinito. Del mismo modo, es posible dibujar un pentágono por el exterior, que sería a su vez el pentágono interior de una estrella más grande. Al medir la longitud total de una de las cinco líneas del pentáculo interior, resulta igual a la longitud de cualquiera de los brazos de la estrella mayor, o sea Φ. El teorema de Ptolomeo y el pentágono[editar]

Se puede calcular el número áureo usando el teorema de Ptolomeo en un pentágono regular.

Claudio Ptolomeo desarrolló un teorema conocido como el teorema de Ptolomeo, el cual permite trazar un pentágono regular mediante regla y compás. En la representación del Hombre de Vitruvio Leonardo da Vinci no utiliza el número áureo, sino el sistema fraccionario propuesto por Vitruvio

Esta tesis ha sido defendida por los matemáticos Jarolimek, K. Kleppisch y W. A. Price (ver referencias), se apoya en la interpretación de un pasaje de Heródoto (Historiae, libro II, cap. 124) y resulta teóricamente con sentido, aunque una construcción de semejante tamaño deba contener errores inevitables a toda obra arquitectónica y a la misma naturaleza de la tecnología humana, que en la práctica puede manejar únicamente números racionales.
