When Donovan Mitchell entered the NBA, he was touted as a future superstar. His talents made him an All-Star and he was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bulls. Since then, he's been a key contributor to the team's success and has helped lead it to the playoffs every year. Today, Donovan Mitchell is considered one of the best young players in the game.

College career
Donovan Mitchell has been a staple in the NBA for the past few years. He was selected by Denver Nuggets with the thirteenth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. In addition to his rookie season, he has been named to three All-Star teams, and was named Western Conference reserve for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
The 6-foot-1 shooting guard is currently averaging 28.0 points and 4.6 assists per game, and he is on the verge of his fourth All-Star appearance. During the playoffs, he averaged 32 points and eight rebounds in the first round of the playoffs. A native of Elmsford, N.Y., Mitchell attended Greenwich Country Day School, and then Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., where he won two prep school national championships. After graduating from Brewster, he continued to focus on basketball while attending the University of Louisville.

NBA career
Donovan Mitchell has shown immense talents on the big stage. He was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Currently, he plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers have changed their fortunes thanks to their rookie guard. During the season, he averaged 23.5 points per game. His overall rating is 87 in NBA 2K23.
As a rookie, he had a very good start to his career. Among other things, he was named the Western Conference Player of the Month in December. In addition, he was chosen for three All-Star games. Throughout his career, he has shown versatility. He has played both guard positions. And he has a very impressive shooting arm. For instance, he was the only player to surpass Karl Malone's record for most 20 point games.

All-Star selections
Donovan Mitchell is one of the most exciting young stars in the NBA. He is a three-time All-Star selection, and will be representing the Western Conference at the NBA All-Star Game this weekend. His selection isn't the only big news out of Utah, however.
The Jazz finished the season with the best record in the Western Conference. In fact, the Jazz were selected as the number four seed in the playoffs. They were also able to make the playoffs for the fifth time in their history, and they were the first team to do so since the 2010-2011 season. Mitchell leads the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals. He also led the team in three pointers made. Currently, Mitchell is averaging 25.5 points per game.

Charity work
Donovan Mitchell's charity work has been both large and small. His contributions have included providing meals for the Granite School District and donating Issue #2s to the Kennesaw State men's basketball team. He has also donated a pair of basketball courts to The Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He has a soft spot for teachers. One of his favorite childhood memories is seeing his teacher, Daniel Murphy, in action at a camp.
Among his other philanthropic endeavors, he has a newfound love for mentoring young people. As part of his newfound commitment to social good, he's working with Adidas to create an uplifting way to bring the joy of basketball to underserved youth. Earlier this summer, he donated $45,000 to the family of Jacob Blake, a former NBA player who was seriously wounded by a police officer in Wisconsin. In addition, he has a soft spot for the LDS church.
