The Lost Master's Word

With the death of Hiram Abif, the Master's word was lost and thereafter a substitute word has to be used. This is most commonly given as 'Mah-Hah-Bone', although there are variants such as Mahabon, Moabon and Machbenach (the latter two appearing in French rituals). This word is whispered in the candidate's ear when he is being raised (from the dead) by means of the Lion's Grip.

Albert Pike provides us with the Hebrew original of this word, MVABAVN and tells us that this means 'Moab On' or 'emanation of virile energy'. He doesn't tell us that the Hebrew word is valued at 756 and so equated with the Greek Εγειραι και περιπατει - 'Rise up and walk' (Acts 3,6):

Then Peter said, Silver and Gold have I none: but such as I have give I to thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping stood up, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

756 is also the value of the village Εμμαους, which was where Jesus first appeared to his disciples after his resurrection (Luke 24, 13). Furthermore, the Greek spelling of Hiram - Χειραμ - has this value, and the word Απαβαρατος meaning 'imperishable'. One could add that a vesica 756 in width has a circumference of 3168 (the perimeter of the archetypal temple and value of Κυριος Ιησους Χριστος - Lord Jesus Christ) and that 756 is the side length of the Great Pyramid as measured in feet.

It may be significant that the Greek words for 'Jesus Christ of Nazareth' employed in the raising described above are Ιησου Χριστου το Ναζωραιου and have a value equal to that of Ο λεων ο ων εκ της φυλης Ιουδα η ριζα Δαβιδ - 'The lion of the tribe of Judah and root of David' (value 4178, from Rev. 5, 5). The connection comes from the fact that the new Master is raised by the 'Lion's Grip'. The latter expression has solar connotations because its value is 365 - the number of days in the solar year. This would appear to tie in with the fact that the AVN in MAVB-AVN is the Hebrew name of Heliopolis, the city of the Sun. The lion is a solar animal and emblematic of the sun's virile power.

The English version 'Mah Hah Bone' (or Mahaboneh) has a value of 153. This is a very significant number, particularly as it provides the number of fishes caught by the disciples in their post-resurrection fishing trip on the sea of Galilee (John 21,11). The number 153, the 17th triangular number, has for hundreds of years been interpreted to signify 'the resurrection to eternal life' (1). The number 17 features here too because it is the gematria value of the central syllable, 'Hah'.

It is also a fact that 153 is the value of Η Μαγδαληνη - The Magdalene. Mary Magdalene is very closely associated with the resurrection of Jesus, as she was the first to discover the empty tomb and encounter his risen form. If the resurrection is viewed in terms of the Greek mysteries, she would have been acting in the role of initiatrix - like Isis raising her dead husband Osiris.

The word 'Mach-ben-ach' means, according to Pike, 'the place where the murdered one was hidden' and derives from the Hebrew MChBANK. Valued at 121, this is also equated with the Magdalene, because it is the value of 'Maria' (English/Latin). At the same time 121 provides the name of another Egyptian city of the SunSVNH - Syene: this was used as a solar observatory to measure the Tropic of Cancer (the sun's northernmost vertical trajectory). Maybe this was where the body of the murdered solar hero (Osiris) was concealed?

The Original Master's Word It is possible that AVN was the original Master's Word. It has the significant value of 707: this represents half of the square root of two. The ancient importance of this number is testified to by our finding Ο Θεος Ερμης - The God Hermes, and Παρθενος Μαριαμ - The Virgin Mary, equally valued.

Was the sacred AVN intended as Ο Λογος Αληθειας - 'The word of truth' (James 1, 18)? Albert Pike hints as much when he writes, "In my opinion, the Substitute orcovering Word was of three syllables, in order to hint to the Initiate that the True Word was also triliteral; and Muabon, reversed gives NobAUM . . . AVN (the name of the City called by the Greeks Heliopolis) means 'robustness, strength, vigour, the virile energy' ".

Another possibility is that AMVN is the Word: this is the divine name that combines the masculine AVN with the maternal AM - to create a god of balanced sexual polarity (2). Amun/Ammon was the primary deity of ancient Egypt.

AMVN also happens to be the Hebrew word for an architect or builder (i.e. a Mason).

With the definite article added, we also see that H'AMVN takes a gematria value of 752, which is equal to the primary divine couple of ancient Greece, Ηρα και Ζευς- Hera and Zeus. In Hebrew 753 will provide us with another well-balanced couple, ABRM ShRI - Abram and Sarai (alternatively, ABRHM ShRH - Abraham and Sarah). Additionally, 753 gives us a combination of AVRIM V'ThMIM - Aurim and Thumim - Light and Truth.

When the final letter is counted low AMVN takes a value of 97: this equates it with the final syllable in Mah-hah-Bone: this seems to be another hint that we are on the right track.

In Masonic ritual the Lost Master's Word is frequently explained to refer to 'The marrow of the bone'. This is interpreted to mean life-force or virile vigour - which is especially apt, as its value of 1520 equates it with both the fertile procreative energy of 'The Vernal Equinox' and the fertilising instrument Ο Ιθυς Φαλλος .

It is also worth pointing out that the Hebrew word for 'marrow' MCh is an anagram of ChM - Ham, the son of Noah. Ham represents the sun in Masonic ritual at the midheaven station. Notice too that 'Ham' is 'Mah' in reverse. The names of father and son are written NCh and ChM and have a combined value of 58 + 608 = 666. This is the supreme solar number. Their lower value of 58 + 48 = 106 is equal to the lower value of MVABAVN.

The New Jerusalem Decagon

Professor D.G. Leahy discovered a "hidden circle" (the green circle) within the New Jerusalem pattern --

It is effectively the value of the diameter (= 11) of the decagon formed by the double helix structure of the DNA molecule, which decagon is visible in the top-down view of the molecule. See --

The New Jerusalem plan is based on Revelation 21, and indicates the order of the heavens made apparent on earth.

Numbers that relate to the diagram include 7920 (Earth diameter), and 5040 (radius of the Earth plus the radius of the moon 3960 + 1080). Remember, the base ten harmonics of the first two numbers (792 and 504) were revealed in the Crooked Soley DNA crop circle formation (792 + 504 = 1296).

The sub-lunar distance around the New Jerusalem is figured (using Pyramid Pi 22/7) --

This is represented by the circle just inside the green circle above, which passes through the center of the twelve "Moon" circles.

Another interesting calculation is the distance across the New Jerusalem, figured as --

The Big Pi Coincidence

I awoke early on the morning of 8 September 2009, at 2:57 AM. I had most of this page finished by that time, including the Pi crop circle portion. I sent some e-mail to announce the upcoming radio show. I then decided to post it on the Crop Circle Connector Forum. I chose a thread about the Pi formation, that was started by RAJIMMO. I had read the first page of the thread in August. RAJIMMO had mentioned DNA and a number code.

I decided to read the rest of the thread, which had now come to seven pages. On the second page, RAJIMMO gave this interpretation of the  first ten digits of Pi --

3 x 1 x 4 x 1 x 5 x 9 x 2 x 6 x 5 x 4 = 129600

To me, this was an incredible coincidence. I responded with a post on the seventh page of the thread --

The Great Serpent Mound

Serpent Mound is a prehistoric effigy mound located in Adams County, Ohio --

Like certain sites in the Yucatan, the area was formed by a meteorite impact millions of years ago.

In a portion of his book, The Mystery of the Serpent Mound: In Search of the Alphabet of the Gods, Ross Hamilton pointed out that the geometry of the effigy -- incredibly -- demonstrates the Pythagorean Theorem. The ancient theorem states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse (long side) of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of those of the other two other sides. The formula can be written --

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Interestingly, Pythagoras was named after the great Python serpent at Delphi by the Oracle.

Ross did not mention it, but it is also interesting that the 153 Fish in the Net story, in pre-Christian times, was associated with Apollo's Oracle at Delphi. This is part of the related Greek Gematria --

Delphi 619 + Omphalos 911 = 1530

According to Ross, the triangle indicated in Serpent Mound is based on the 6-8-10 triangle --

6^2 + 8^2 = 10^2
36   + 64  = 100

The numbers are associated with Roman figures, and their Magic Squares. The numbers 6 and 36 (6 x 6) are related to the Sun. The numbers 8 and 64 (8 x 8) are related to Mercury. The numbers 10 and 100 (10 x 10) are related to the Earth.

The actual measurements of Serpent Mound are 34 times the numbers in the basic formula --

204^2 + 272^2 = 340^2

The same numbers added give -- 204 + 272 + 340 = 816. The number 816, divided by 34 is 136, which is related to the Magic Square of Jupiter, a 4 x 4 gird, where the 16 numbers add to 136. Each row, column and diagonal adding to 34. The numbers are also associated with the Tree of Life --

The Sun on the above list is related to Helios. I believe it could also be related to Apollo, who was considered a sun god, or the Sun behind the sun.

The number 34 is, of course, twice 17, and, remember,  the numbers 1 through 17 add to 153.

The number 272 is a harmonic of the Megalithic Yard of 2.72 feet. This numbers is thought by some to be related to the mathematical constant 'e' -- the base of the natural system of logarithms, 2.718282.

The DNA Connection

Around June 17, 1996, a crop circle appeared at Alton Barnes, Wiltshire. Researchers called it "The DNA crop circle," because it was a double helix type design. The formation was 648 feet in length --

In 2002, the serpent-like Mitochondrial DNA crop circle formation appeared at Crooked Soley. Some years later, Dan Brown and John Michell wrote a book about the formation, showing that it contained 1296 little diamonds within the snake-like pattern --

The number 1296 is, of course, twice 648, which was the length in feet of the 1996 DNA crop circle. There were 144 curved lines within the tube torus type shape, 72 in one direction, and 72 in the other, making up the net-like pattern, which resembles snake skin.

The twisted ladder type pattern, which resembles the double helix of DNA in a circular design, was composed of 504 little diamond shapes of standing crop. There were 792 little diamond shapes in the torus with laid down crops (504 + 792 = 1296).

The significance of these numbers were quite familiar to me by the time I read the Crooked Soley book, as indicated by previous parts of this article. Adding zeros to the end of the above numbers produces familiar results --

5040 -- factorial of 7 and combined earth-moon radius, related to Plato's Atlantis
7920 -- diameter of the Earth in miles
12960 -- half the number of years of precession, or six ages

Interestingly, Gematria literally means, "measuring the Earth." Two of the numbers above figure in the New Jerusalem Plan diagram --

The blue circle represents the Earth, with a diameter of 7920 miles. Each of the twelve yellow circles represents the Moon, with a diameter of 2160 miles. The perimeter of the red box around the Earth circle is 31680 miles (4 x 7920 = 31680).

The green ring circle, which passes through the centers of the twelve Moon circles, has a circumference of 31680 miles, the same distance as the perimeter of the red box around the Earth circle. This demonstrates squaring the circle, a problem proposed by ancient geometers. Exactly squaring the circle is impossible, unless an approximation of Pi is used. In this case, 22/7 is used as an approximation of Pi, sometimes called "Pyramid Pi." To figure the radius of the green ring circle, the radius of the Earth and the radius of the Moon are added --

3960 + 1080 = 5040

The calculation for the green ring circle circumference is then --

(2 x 22/7) x 5040 = 31680

The New Jerusalem plan diagram is based on the vision of Saint John the Divine in Revelation 21, and represents the order of the heavens made apparent on earth.

The measurements regarding the Great Pyramid have always been under debate. Depending what, when, where and, how measurements were taken has produced conflicting measurements regarding the length of the base, slope and height of the Great Pyramid, as well as its angle of inclination. Given the fact that the Great Pyramid has not been in mint condition for millenia, it is understandable that such measurements have varied to the point of contradiction. The base measurement has been cited anywhere from 693 feet, through 756 feet, to 765 feet, depending upon which position is taken as the boundaries of the pyramid's base. The pyramid's height is impossible to measure exactly, given the fact that the capstone no longer exists. The pyramid's angle of inclination has been computated as of a few stones found which possibly reveal the original angle, although again condition and the size of those stones make for calculations and not exact measurements.

Nonetheless, recently, measurements have been offered by the Director of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project, Mark Lehner, in a work entitled, The Complete Pyramids: Solving the Ancient Mysteries (Thames and Hudson, 1997). Let us examine the measurements offered in this scholarly work in the light of the numbers of the ancient reckoning system that we have been studying in the Earth/matriX: Science in Ancient Artwork series.

The base length of the Great Pyramid is calculated as 230.33 meters or 756 feet, according to professor Lehner, and its height once rose to 146.59 meters or 481 feet (Ibid., page 108). The angle of inclination or slope of its faces are 51° 50' 40", again according to that same author. Much debate has revolved around employing measurements in the metric system or the English system; or, whether one should employ the numbers of the ancient cubit or, even some other unit of measurement. According to our reasoning, it does not matter which particular system of measurement is chosen for the discussion, given the fact that the geometrical outlay of the Great Pyramid allows for accomodating any system of measurement. This obtains from a comprehension of the mathematics of the ancient reckoning system and the very nature of geometry itself involving angles of inclination and the trigonometric table.

As we view the numbers offered by professor Lehner, we cannot help but immediately note that the metric measurement of 230.33 reminds us of the maya long count number 2304 (fractal), the alautun of 23,040,000,000. Nor can we avoid observing the possibility of relating the 146.59 measurement in meters to the Sothic cycle number 1460 or 1461 years. In most of our previous studies, we have employed the 756 feet measurement for the base length of the Great Pyramid, along with the 481 feet height measurement. The possibility of analyzing the angle of inclination has been dealt with previously by us (Cfr., Earth/matriX, Extract No.7, Pyramids of Egypt: Precession Numbers and Degrees of Angles).

Given the previously cited measurements, the following may be observed. The 51° 50' 40" angle translates into the decimal system as 51.844444°, which when halved yields the number 25.922222. This particular number reminds us of the Platonic Cycle number of 25,920 years. Previously, we have discussed how the numbers of the angle of inclination of the pyramids of ancient kemi may have been reflecting just such a knowledge of the Precession. However, for computations in many of the ancient reckoning systems, it is widely held that the ancients avoided employing fractional numbers (with the exception of numbers regarding the reciprocal of seven). In this case, then, we might expect the angle of inclination to have been conceived (if not technologically achieved in the stone carving) as of 51.84°, or that of 51° 50' 24"0 (a difference of 0° 00' 16"0).

However, before we discuss such a variable, let us comprehend the relationship of the numbers offered by the Giza Plateau Mapping Project. The first question that comes to mind is whether or not it is possible, according to the trigonometric table, to obtain a pyramidal structure of the measurements offered. The answer would appear to be negative. Consider the following:

In this case, the 146.4576827 appears to be more relational to a reciprocal of seven number: 146.4285714 with a lesser difference (146.4576827 - 146.4285714 = .0291113).

In other words, it is impossible, trigonometrically speaking, to have a pyramidal structure with the given measurements of base length 230.33 meters, height 146.59 meters and an angle of inclination of 51.844444 degrees according to the posits of the Pythagorean Theorem.

In Feet:

In other words, it is impossible, trigonometrically speaking, to have a pyramidal structure with the given measurements of 756 feet base length, 481 feet height, and an angle of inclination of the slope of 51.844444 degrees.

The measurements of the Great Pyramid undergo such scrutiny because it has become a case of deciding whether the Great Pyramid was built with such great precision out of design or by happenstance. Although we are talking about an enormously, unimaginable monumental stone structure, at the same time we are considering the exact preciseness with which it appears to have been executed. Hence, the reason for considering the exactness of the numbers of the measurements. The numbers of the ancient reckoning system may assist us in comprehending the variations of the numbers offered in the current measurements.

The measurements of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project, which are admitted calculations, do not appear to conform to the historically significant numbers of the ancient reackoning system. However, if we allow for some adjustments of those numbers in terms of the ancient numbers, then the projected measurements and their adjustments appear to become more relevant.

If we allow for an angle of inclination of 51.84 degrees, the relationships of the numbers change. And, we must remember that if the angle of inclination remains as a constant, it does not matter which set of measurements for the length/height of the pyramidal structure is employed; the proportion remains constant in terms of trigonometry.

Depending upon whether one begins with the baseline or the height of the Great Pyramid, the numbers change correspondingly.

There is another reason that one might want to consider the original angle of inclination designed into the Great Pyramid as having been 51.84 degrees. Consider the fact that if the baseline measurement of 756 feet is correct (the one that is most commonly accepted), then the following obtains:

We recognize in this fractal the Nineveh number of 195,955,200,000,000.

In the sine of the 51.84 number, .786288432, distinct ancient historically significant numbers appear: .786 (288)(432). Therefore, 288 being a maya fractal; 432, being the Consecration number.

Notice, however, when the 756 and 481 numbers given by professor Lehner are viewed in relation to the 360c of the ancient reckoning system:

146.5904762 / .636243386 = 230.4000001

Hence, the baseline length of the Great Pyramid may be of any unit of measurement (230.33 meters; 230.4 meters; 756 feet; 500 cubits; etc.), with the angle of inclination remaining constant. Essentially, it does not matter even if one measures the baseline wrong; the angle pre-determines the proportional measurements of the triangle. This becomes even more evident when we employ the cited measurement of 500 cubits for the length of the base of the Great Pyramid:

But, if we subtract this total amount from another ancient Sothic number (1649.457812 fractal) distinguished in previous Earth/matriX essays (Cfr., Essay No.73), the appearance of a number relational to the maya companion number obtains (1366560):

Regarding any of the adjusted possibilities presented above, one could obviously obtain computations where the ancient historically significant numbers would become relational to one another.

If the calculations concerning the royal cubit are correct the main dimensions of the pyramid should also prove that. The approximate dimensions of the pyramid are calculated by Petrie according to the remains of the sockets in the ground for the casing stones whose remains are still at the top of the pyramid, and the angle 51° 52' ± 2' of the slopes. The base of 9069 inches is approximately 440 royal cubits (the difference is 9 inches which is not a remarkable difference if we consider the whole dimension and consider that the employed data represent only an estimation of the real values) whereas the calculated height, 5776 inches, is precisely 280 royal cubits. The relation 440:280 can be reduced to 11:7, which gives an approximation of the half value of Pi.

The engagement of Pi value in the main dimensions suggests also a very accurate angle of 51° 52' ± 2' of the slopes which expresses the value of Pi. Another coincidence is the relation between the height of the pyramid's triangle in relation to a half of the side of the pyramid, since it appears to be the Golden Section, or the specific ratio ruling this set of proportions, F = (sqr(5)+1)/2 = 1.618 = 356:220. This ratio, 356:220 = 89:55 is also contained in the first of Fibonacci Series:

A single composition contains two apparently contradicting irrational numbers P and F, without disrupting each other. This appears to be completely opposed to the classical architectural canon which postulates that in 'good' composition no two different geometrical systems of proportions may be mixed in order to maintain the purity of design. 
But analysis of other architectural and artistic forms suggested that the greatest masters skillfully juggled the proportional canons without losing the coherent system, for they knew that these systems can be interconnected if the path that links them is found. That is obvious In the case of the Great Pyramid where two different principles are interweaved without interference ruling different angles of the composition, which is most importantly a most simple one, namely 11:7, a most simple ratio obviously signifying such infinite mysteries as the value of P and most 'natural' value of F. In spite of common miss-understanding of architectural composition, the most mysterious and praised compositions are very simple but not devoid of anthropomorphic appeal, since everything is made out of human proportions, just like Vitruvius describing the rations of the human body, very simple and very clean. The numbers 7 and in 11 are successive factors in the second of Fibonacci progressions that approximate geometry of the pentagram:

The main source of all kinds of delusions and speculations about our mythical past for the western man comes of course from Plato. With the myth of Atlantis he planted the necessary seed of mythical Eden, a culture of high intelligence that lived before the known history. If Plato received any wisdom from the ancient Egypt it could perhaps be traced in the canon of numbers that is so latently present throughout his work, but never on the surface. This canon seems to appear in the descriptions of his fantastic cities where everything is most carefully calculated and proportioned. The topic of Plato's Laws is the description of the ideal state called Magnesia which is entirely composed out of the mysterious number 5,040.

The distance* when Earth is closest to Sun (perihelion) is 147x10⁶ km, which is translated into royal cubits 280x10⁹, hinting at the height of the Great pyramid, 
280 royal cubits.

The earth/moon relationship is the only one in our solar system that contains this unique golden section ratio that "squares the circle". Along with this is the phenomenon that the moon and the sun appear to be the same size, most clearly noticed during an eclipse. This too is true only from earth's vantage point…No other planet/moon relationship in our solar system can make this claim. 

Although the problem of squaring the circle was proven mathematically impossible in the 19th century (as pi, being irrational, cannot be exactly measured), the Earth, the moon, and the Great Pyramid, are all coming about as close as you can get to the solution!
If the base of the Great Pyramid is equated with the diameter of the earth, then the radius of the moon can be generated by subtracting the radius of the earth from the height of the pyramid (see the picture below).

In the diagram above, the big triangle is the same proportion and angle of the Great Pyramid, with its base angles at 51 degrees 51 minutes. If you bisect this triangle and assign a value of 1 to each base, then the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) equals phi (1.618..) and the perpendicular side equals the square root of phi. And that’s not all. A circle is drawn with it’s centre and diameter the same as the base of the large triangle. This represents the circumference of the earth. A square is then drawn to touch the outside of the earth circle. A second circle is then drawn around the first one, with its circumference equal to the perimeter of the square. (The squaring of the circle.) This new circle will actually pass exactly through the apex of the pyramid. And now the “wow”: A circle drawn with its centre at the apex of the pyramid and its radius just long enough to touch the earth circle, will have the circumference of the moon! Neat, huh! And the small triangle formed by the moon and the earth square will be a perfect 345 triangle (which doesn’t seem to mean much.)
