Seven hills of Istanbul

Istanbul is known as the City on the Seven Hills (Turkish: Yedi tepeli şehir). The city has inherited this denomination from Byzantine Constantinople which - consciously following the model of Rome - was built on seven hills too.

The seven hills, all located in the area within the walls, first appeared when the valleys of the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus were opened up during the Secondary and Tertiary periods. In the Ottoman Age, as in the earlier Byzantine period, each hill was surmounted by monumental religious buildings (churches under the Byzantines, imperial mosques under the Ottomans).
The first hill on which the ancient city of Byzantium was founded, begins from Seraglio Point and extends over the whole area containing Hagia Sophia, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque and Topkapı Palace.
On the second hill are to be found the Nuruosmaniye Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Column of Constantine. The second hill is divided from the first by a fairly deep valley running from Babiali on the east Eminönü.
The third hill is now occupied by the main buildings of Istanbul University, the Bayezid II Mosque to the south and the Süleymaniye Mosque to the north. The southern slopes of the hill descend to Kumkapi and Langa.
The fourth hill on which stood the Church of the Holy Apostles and, subsequently, the Fatih Mosque, slopes down rather steeply to the Golden Horn on the north and, rather more gently, to Aksaray on the south.
On the fifth hill we find the Mosque of Sultan Selim. The fifth and the sixth hills are separated by the valley running down on the west to Balat on the shore of the Golden Horn.
On the sixth hill are to be found the districts of Edirnekapı and Ayvansaray. Its gentle slopes run out beyond the line of the defense walls.
The seventh hill, known in Byzantine times as the Xērolophos (Greek: ξηρόλοφος), or "dry hill," it extends from Aksaray to the Theodosian Walls and the Marmara. It is a broad hill with three summits producing a triangle with apices at Topkapı, Aksaray, and Yedikule.

Finding the Center
I did a series of JCN matches today on my domain name and here is the synchronous full match (see English Gematria) that inspired this post:

Two days ago on 22 Sep 11 (interesting date 11+11 Sep 11) scientists at CERN (see 666) announced that they have broken the speed of light.
Antonio Ereditato, spokesman for the international group of researchers, said that measurements taken over three years showed neutrinos pumped from CERN near Geneva to Gran Sasso in Italy had arrived 60 nanoseconds quicker than light would have done.
“We have high confidence in our results. We have checked and rechecked for anything that could have distorted our measurements but we found nothing,” he said. “We now want colleagues to check them independently.”
If confirmed, the discovery would undermine Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, which says that the speed of light is a “cosmic constant” and that nothing in the universe can travel faster.
That assertion, which has withstood over a century of testing, is one of the key elements of the so-called Standard Model of physics, which attempts to describe the way the universe and everything in it works. -Source

This is game changing because it alters the way scientists must think about the universe. If it is possible to exceed the speed of light then who knows what else might be possible?

CERN is the home of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world’s largest, highest-energy, and most expensive scientific instrument ever built. They fired it up for the first time on 8 Aug 08 (8-8-8), the same day the Beijing Olympics started (yes at 8pm). Notice the 8-part symmetry of the LHC:

It’s funny that CERN should mention the Sistine chapel. Dan Brown made this link between CERN and the Vatican in Angels & Demons. Here is Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam on the Sistine chapel’s ceiling:

In addition Rafael Tamargo, M.D. discovered that Michelangelo depicted brain anatomy in the neck of God in another Sistine chapel fresco. He published this finding in the journal Neuroscience (May 2010).
“Michelangelo definitely knew how to depict necks — he knew anatomy so well,” says Rafael Tamargo, M.D., a professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. “That’s why it was such a mystery why this particular neck looked so odd.” -Source

God is at the center of consciousness.
The hemisphere within a hemisphere design at CERN reminds me of Arnaldo Pomodoro’s Sphere within Sphere sculptures in the Vatican, the UN HQ, and other strategic locations.
The sphere within sphere also represents the hypersphere, or higher dimensional sphere.
Scientists at CERN are searching for the Higgs boson, also known as the God Particle but they haven’t found it yet. Here’s a simulated event featuring the appearance of a Higgs boson:
Are physicists bozos to be searching for this bozon? They have spent €7.5 billion (US$15 billion) trying to look into the mind of God. And scientists are the people least likely to believe in God even if they see evidence of him/her.
In any case the well funded physicists at CERN are accelerating particles at, near (and now above) the speed of light in giant underground rings. Here I’ve overlaid a map of the underworld of CERN in Google Earth:
I stretched a cord (shown in green above) from the center of the smaller ring at CERN and you’ll be amazed where it leads. Inspired by a post the brilliant Bert Janssen did back in 2008 I found something slightly different and perhaps even more interesting.
The next stop on this green line is the center of the historical core of Paris. The green line goes right through the center point of solar alignments I discussed in my Paris Part 1 video.
Just to give you some perspective, the green line originating at CERN is essentially parallel to the Eiffel Tower axis (white). The red line is the azimuth of summer solstice sunrise, the blue line is the obelisk marking winter solstice sunset, the yellow line marks equinoctial sunset, and the cyan line is due south to the Gates of Hell and entrance of the Paris catacombs.
The white axis makes a beeline to Danebury hill fort in the UK as mentioned in The Snowflake and the Flower, but I digress.
The final stop on the green line is the Cherhill obelisk sitting on top of Oldbury hill fort in the UK. This green alignment is absolutely precise. The distance from the center of the CERN ring to the Cherhill obelisk is exactly 443.00 nautical miles. If you allow a one unit grace (as is done in gematria) the distance resonates with 444. The London Eye is 444′ high.
As the name suggests Oldbury is as old as the stone age. The 125 foot obelisk is much more recent and was erected in 1845. Thanks to Tina Silver (who is the discoverer of the Temple of Woman) for taking a picture of it and sending it to me:

The prophetic book Two-Thirds: A History of Our Galaxy by David Myers is one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read.
Two-thirds = 66.6666….%
The back cover says: “Two-Thirds is the key to understanding our history, and is, in fact, non-fiction.” It appears to be fiction but there is too much brilliance in the book for me to believe it is merely a flight of fancy. It seems to me to be channeled from a higher intelligence.
For example, Figure 111.1 in Two-Thirds depicts Oldbury and the Cherhill obelisk. It says the Cherhill obelisk represents the soul’s position within the brain, slightly to the right of the center. The Oldbury earthworks represents the two hemispheres of the brain.
Myers says “Part of the right side of the brain is missing as it is cut away by a steep embankment. Note also the location of the white horse on the adjacent hillside.”

Incidentally Myers claims there are three speeds of light:
“Solar system light speed is approximately 186,000 miles per second and extends well beyond the limits of the solar system.
Interstellar light speed is the speed of light between solar systems. Over 400,000 times faster than solar system light speed, interstellar light speed begins well beyond the limits of a solar system and extends well beyond the fringes of galaxies.
Intergalactic light speed is seven times faster than interstellar light speed. Intergalactic light speed is the speed of light in the physical universe well beyond the fringes of galaxies.” -Two-Thirds page 44
The practice of carving white horses in chalk upland areas in England is as old as the hills. The practice of cutting human hill figures is known as gigantotomy. The Cerne Abbas giant looks to me like a depiction of Orion (see Stars of Lower Manhattan). I bet you never thought you’d see this rude 55m giant in Google Earth:
Myers says the white horse is a symbol of the center of the galaxy. I find that intriguing and I’ve always remembered it. There is a white horse in the heavens, known as the Monoceros constellation. Its single horn points directly at the silver gate (see my Esoteric Astronomy video). The crossing of the milky way (blue line) and the ecliptic (red arc) happens at two points that the ancient Egyptians called the silver and golden gates.

The soul passes through the silver gate at birth and the golden gate at death and continues on its journey to the center of the galaxy.
The Horsehead Nebula (discovered in 1888) is just below the star Alnitak in the Orion constellation. It is so called because the dark gas and dust literally looks like a horse’s head:
I find it particularly interesting that the Horsehead Nebula is designated Barnard 33.
We are in the Orion Spur of the Milky Way galaxy. Spurs suggest horses do they not?
The most famous white horse was of course Pegasus.

Pegasus was sired by Poseidon and foaled by Medusa. In fact Pegasus is the god of horses, having created them out of waves. Poseidon’s trident reminds me of Shiva’s trident and the pair of tridents in the 9/11 Memorial museum pavilion (see Freedom Tower).
Pegasus was sacred to the Muses.

The following crop circle appeared at the base of Cherhill on 17 July 99. Its nine triangles remind one of the nine Muses.
Incidentally I drew this crop circle and published it in my Crop Circle Coloring Book.
The word Muse is probably derived from the Indo-European root men-, which is also the source of Greek Mnemosyne, English “mind”, “mental” and “memory” and Sanskrit “mantra”. -Source
Mnemosyne is the mythological mother of the Muses and personification of memory.
Inside the human brain the hippocampus plays important roles in the consolidation of information from short-term memory to long-term memory and spatial navigation. -Source

The band MUSE makes some very interesting music and I enjoy listening to them, although I’m never really sure where they stand. MUSE is rife with Masonic, Illuminati, and mind control symbolism. Benjamin Singleton feels the same way; read his Duality of Muse post.
One picture that stands out are the band members of MUSE in front of a white horse. This is certainly not accidental and I’m sure you’ll agree if you read Benjamin’s post.

Para otros usos de este término, véase Filipo. Filipos (latín Philippi, griego Φίλιπποι, Phílippï) fue una ciudad de Macedonia oriental fundada por Filipo II de Macedonia, que le dio su nombre (antes se llamaba Crénides, latín Crenides, es decir, lugar de las fuentes, por las diversas fuentes del río Angites). Cerca había minas de oro, especialmente las de Asyla. Estaba cercana al río Gangas o Gangites.
Filipos es una fundación del rey de Macedonia, Filipo II, en el lugar de la colonia tasia de Crénides (Κρηνἱδες), en el valle del monte Orbelos (nombre antiguo del monte Lekani), en el borde norte de la marisma que ocupaba en la antigüedad toda la llanura que lo separaba del monte Pangeo al sur.
El objetivo de esta fundación era tanto tomar el control de las minas de oro vecinas como establecer una guarnición en un punto de paso estratégico: el sitio controlaba la ruta entre Anfípolis y Neápolis, un segmento de la gran carretera real que atravesaba de este a oeste, Macedonia y que será más tarde reconstruida por los romanos bajo el nombre de Vía Egnatia
Filipo II dotó a la nueva ciudad de importantes fortificaciones, que cortaban en parte el paso entre las marismas y el Orbelos, y envío allí colonos. Hizo emprender el saneamiento de las marismas, de lo que da testimonio al escritor Teofrasto. Filipos conservó una verdadera autonomía dentro del Reino macedonio: una ciudad con sus propias instituciones políticas (ekklesía del demo). El descubrimiento de nuevas minas de oro cerca de la ciudad, en Asyla, contribuyó al enriquecimiento del reino de Filipo II, que estableció allí un taller monetario. La integración definitiva de la ciudad en el reino macedonio tendría lugar bajo Filipo V.
La ciudad fue a pesar de todo de tamaño modesto (¿2.000 habitantes?): cuando los romanos destruyeron definitivamente el reino argéada de Macedonia en 167 a. C. y lo dividieron en cuatro estados distintos (merides), fue Anfípolis y no Filipos la designada como capital del estado de Macedonia oriental.
No se conoce nada o casi nada de la ciudad en esta época, excepto el recinto, el teatro, los cimientos de una casa bajo el foro romano, un pequeño templo y sobre todo un heroón (templo consagrado a un héroe). Este monumento recubre la tumba de un tal Exekestos quizás situada en el ágora, y ligada al culto de κτίστης (ktístès) (héroe fundador) de la ciudad.
Hacia el 400 a. C. pasó a Tasos. Después pasó a Filipo II que explotó las minas y obtenía 1000 talentos al año. Después de la conquista macedonia de Anfípolis, Pidna y Potidea, la ciudad fue agrandada y fortificada para defenderla de las tribus tracias.

Fue visitada en algunas ocasiones por el apóstol Pablo (49, 56 y 57). Cuando Macedonia fue dividida en dos provincias por Teodosio el Joven, Filipos fue la capital de Macedonia Primera.
La ciudad reaparece en las fuentes con ocasión de la guerra civil romana que siguió al asesinato de Julio César. Sus herederos Marco Antonio y Octavio se enfrentaron a los partidarios de la República, Marco Junio Bruto y Cayo Casio Longino, en una doble batalla decisiva en la llanura al oeste de la ciudad en octubre de 42 a. C.
Un bando estaba dirigido por Augusto y el otro por Bruto; en un primer combate este último venció, pero en el segundo, veinte días después, fue derrotado. Vencedores, Marco Antonio y Octavio licenciaron una parte de sus veteranos, probablemente de la legio XXVIII, los cuales se instalaron en la ciudad, refundada como colonia romana bajo el nombre de Colonia Victrix Philippensium.
Augusto le dio entonces, (41 a. C.) el rango de colonia (Colonia Victrix Philippensium) con derecho italiano. En 30 a. C., Octavio reorganizó la colonia y procedió a un nuevo licenciamiento de veteranos, quizás de pretorianos y de italianos: la ciudad tomó el nombre de Colonia Iulia Philippensis, convertido en Colonia Augusta Iulia Philippensis después de enero de 27 a. C., cuando Octavio recibió él mismo el nombre definitivo del Senado.

Pablo habría visitado la ciudad en otras dos ocasiones, en 56 y 57. La epístola a los filipenses dataría de 54-55 y testimonia el impacto inmediato de la palabra paulina. El desarrollo subsecuente del cristianismo en Filipos está bien atestiguado, sobre todo por una carta de Policarpo de Esmirna dirigida a la comunidadd filipense hacia el 160, y por la epigrafía funeraria.

El parentesco del plano y de la decoración arquitectónica de la basílica B con Santa Sofía y Santa Irene de Constantinopla otorgan un lugar privilegiado a esta iglesia en la historia del arte paleocristiano. El complejo episcopal que toma el lugar de la Basílica de Pablo a partir del siglo V, construida alrededor de una iglesia octogonal, rivaliza también con las iglesias de la capital.

Cibeles

Originalmente una diosa frigia, Cibeles (en griego antiguo Κυβέλη Kybélê, nombre al que a veces se da la etimología de «la del pelo» si se considera griego en lugar de frigio) era la diosa de la Madre Tierra que fue adorada en Anatolia desde el neolítico. Como la Gea o su equivalente minoica Rea, Cibeles era la personificación de la fértil tierra, una diosa de las cavernas y las montañas, murallas y fortalezas, de la Naturaleza y los animales (especialmente leones y abejas). Su equivalente romana era Magna Mater, la Gran Madre o Idæa mater («Madre del Ida»). Su título «Señora de los Animales», que también ostentaba la Diosa Madre minoica, revela sus arcaicas raíces paleolíticas. Es una deidad de vida, muerte y resurrección. Su consorte, cuyo culto fue introducido más tarde, era Atis. Se trata de una de las principales diosas de las antiguas culturas del Oriente Próximo. En la mitología griega también es conocida como Δαμία (Damia).
Se la representa con vestimentas frigias y una corona con forma de muralla. Porta las llaves que dan acceso a todas las riquezas de la tierra. Monta un carro que simboliza la superioridad de la madre Naturaleza, a la que incluso se subordinan los poderosos leones que tiran del mismo. En otras representaciones se sienta en un trono custodiado por las mismas bestias. La leyenda, relatada por Ovidio en Las Metamorfosis (X, vss. 570- 704), las relaciona con una singular pareja mitológica, Hipómenes (Melanión, en otras versiones) y Atalanta, que compitieron en una carrera de velocidad. La astucia de Hipómenes -inspirado por la diosa del amor, ya que el premio era la mano de Atalanta- hizo caer al suelo unas manzanas de oro que atrajeron la atención de Atalanta y la distrajeron de la carrera, que perdió. El mito concluye con la unión impía de los amantes dentro de un recinto sagrado dedicado a la diosa Cibeles, la cual se enfurece y como castigo los metamorfosea en leones, condenados a tirar de su carro eternamente.
En los panteones griego y romano, Cibeles es identificada con Rea, esposa de Crono (Saturno) y madre de los principales dioses: Hestia (Vesta), Demeter (Ceres), Hera (Juno), Hades (Plutón), Poseidón (Neptuno) y Zeus (Júpiter). De acuerdo con la mitología griega, Cibeles inicia a Dionisio en su culto misterioso.
Esta Diosa Madre fue honrada en todo el mundo antiguo. El centro de su culto estaba en la Monte Dindymon en Pesinunte («Pessinus»), donde cayó el Betilo cúbico y negro denominado Kubele que da origen de su nombre.[1]
En 204 a.C., durante la Segunda Guerra Púnica, los romanos, obedeciendo a una profecía de los libros sibilinos, y del Oráculo de Delfos, enviaron embajadores a Pessinus con la difícil misión de llevar a Roma la piedra sagrada. La llevaron escoltada por cinco quinquerremes que fueron recibidos por Claudia Quinta.[2] Inicialmente se colocó en el templo de La Victoria en el suroeste del Monte Palatino dentro del Pomoerium, a la espera de la finalización de su propio templo, que le fue consagrado el 9 de abril de 191 a.C.[3]
El culto fue objeto de un fiel seguimiento hasta el final del período republicano. Los ciudadanos romanos no tenían derecho a participar en el sacerdocio y sus rituales, pero sí participaban en el festival de la diosa, el Megalesia). La diosa estaba representada por una escultura en el templo y sus servicios los proporcionaban sacerdotes castrados orientas y/o eslavos, a los que denominaban galli. La autocastración a la que se sometían estos sacerdotes extranjeros en el día de la sangre homenajeaba a Atis, amado de Cibeles, que tras engañarla con la ninfa Sagaritis, fue enloquecido por la diosa celosa, se castró y se suicidó. En las celebraciones, los sacerdotes sacaban a la diosa en procesión. Se sacrificaban toros (taurobolio) y bebían su sangre. Las restricciones fueron levantadas por el emperador Claudio.
Se asocia a Cibeles principalmente con la fertilidad. También encarna la naturaleza salvaje, simbolizada por los leones que la acompañan. Se le atribuyó la curación de enfermedades y la protección de su pueblo durante la guerra.
