I’ve started investing a bit in crypto and realized I have no clue about how taxes work in India for it. A friend mentioned a site called CryptoInvestIndia. Is it any good for learning the tax side, or is it just another affiliate blog?
I actually learned most of what I know about crypto tax rules in India from CryptoInvestIndia. They’ve got a section that explains how capital gains are taxed at 30%, with no deductions or loss offsets, plus 1% TDS on large transactions. It’s laid out in a table so you can see what happens when you buy, sell, swap, or transfer. Also tells you which documents to keep: wallet logs, PAN card, trade history, etc. It was the first site I found that didn’t just try to sell you an exchange bonus — it actually helped me prepare for filing crypto in my ITR.
