The Small Grants Program by WWF-Pakistan is a key initiative that supports grassroots conservation efforts across the country. Since its inception in 1986, the program has aimed to build local capacity by providing funding and guidance to individuals, community groups, researchers, and academic institutions engaged in environmental protection and sustainable practices. With grants typically up to PKR 200,000, the program funds a wide range of small-scale projects that focus on protecting endangered species such as snow leopards, turtles, river dolphins, and vultures, as well as conserving critical habitats like mangroves and forest ecosystems. Projects that show strong community involvement and practical conservation outcomes are highly encouraged. A significant part of the program is the student research grant, which offers between PKR 25,000 and PKR 50,000 to support field-based thesis work for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This helps promote scientific research while encouraging young talent to take part in environmental conservation. Managed by scientific and oversight committees, the program ensures transparency and impact through careful project selection and monitoring. By supporting local efforts and fostering environmental leadership, WWF-Pakistan's Small Grants Program continues to play a meaningful role in preserving the country's natural heritage.

The WWF-Pakistan Small Grants Programme is dedicated to empowering local communities to lead conservation initiatives. By providing financial and technical support for biodiversity protection, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management, the programme encourages grassroots solutions that reflect local knowledge and environmental needs. These grants not only protect ecosystems but also enhance community ownership and participation in environmental stewardship.
A similar model of community-focused support is evident on the cmp-punjab site, which outlines the services of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). Designed to assist low-income families, the site features the 8171 check online cnic system, allowing users to easily verify their eligibility for financial assistance. This tool ensures that social welfare reaches the most deserving individuals with transparency and efficiency.
Both initiatives—WWF’s grants and BISP’s support—emphasize the importance of localized, needs-based aid. The 8171 check online cnic feature reflects how digital platforms can simplify access and build trust in public services. Just as BISP uplifts vulnerable families, WWF
