Tau is the Greek letter T or τ in lower case.

The symbol τ was used in mathematics to represent the golden ratio until the Greek letter Phi (Φ) gained prominance (after the first letter of Phidias, acclaimed sculptor of the Parthenon).

Tau is also known as the symbol representing the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its radius (equal to 2π).

Advocates for τ argue that radius is more fundamental to circles than diameter, and therefore, that τ (circumference divided by radius) is more fundamental than π (circumference divided by diameter). They think this makes formulas written in terms of τ express the mathematics more clearly than with π. -Source

Using τ instead of 2π makes a lot of sense to me:

• A circle is defined as all points in a plane a certain radius away from a center point.
• The unit circle has a radius of 1, not a diameter of 1.
• Angles measured in radians make more sense using τ rather than 2π because τ radians measures a full circle, so 1/4 circle is τ/4, 1/2 circle is τ/2 and so on.

However using τ is really a moot point because π already won the mindshare. However I find it interesting that Tau has been used to represent both the golden ratio (Φ) and the relationship of a circle to its radius (more commonly known as π).

I can think of one other symbol that encodes in its proportions both mathematical ideas: the Great Pyramid. Note that the proportions 4:π and Φ:1 are not taken at the same time but I’ve shown them together for simplicity, so read the left and right halves of the diagram separately.

Crowley used an inverted Tau on the cover of his book Magick, which was “regarded in serious occult circles as a book of ultimate authority on sexual magic.” -Source

Seen right-side-up, the T is seen as the shape of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.

The TAU cross is preserved to modern Masonry under the symbol of the T square. This appears to be the oldest form of the cross extant.” -The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly Hall

There are several instances in the Bible of the Tau cross anticipating the Latin cross:

• The angel of death passed over the children of Israel who painted the Tau mark in goat’s or sheep’s blood above their doors to slay all Egyptian firstborn. This is better known as Passover. See Exodus 11:1 in the Brick Testament.
• The Tau mark was placed upon the foreheads of particular men to save them from being slain in yet another genocidal bloodbath depicted in Ezekiel 9 (unforunately this isn’t illustrated in Lego).
• The summit of Mt. Nebo in Jordan is the location of the Brazen Serpent Monument, featuring a snake wrapped around a Tau cross.

Mt. Nebo is where Moses saw the promised land of Israel (but wasn’t allowed to go there himself). You can see Jerusalem on a clear day from this monument.

Pope Benedict XVI visited the site on May 9, 2009, gave a speech, and looked out from the top of the mountain in the direction of Jerusalem. -Source

The fiery serpent comes from the Bible (Numbers 21:5-9):

• “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
• And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
• Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
• And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
• And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”

Check out this version illustrated with Lego. I like the Brick Testament because it consistently shows the character of this God. In this case God kills his chosen people with snakes because they complained about being hungry and thirsty. It’s easy to forget that and recall only that he healed those who didn’t complain with the Nehushtan as it is also known.

The 25th degree in Scottish Freemasonry is called is The Knight of the Brazen Serpent.

The above image reminds one of the Rod of Asclepius. Here it is as the Star of Life, logo of the emergency medical services worldwide.

Also the emblem of the World Heath Organization underlines the fact that it is a specialized agency of the United Nations with its 33 sector grid laid over the world.

The symbol of a serpent climbing the pole is also a symbol of Kundalini, or life force rising up the spinal column.

These symbols all came from the Crux Ansata, better known as the Ankh. Think of it as a yoni on top of a lingam, or vesica piscis on top of a tau if you will. What better way to symbolize life then through sexual union? This has been pushed into the shadow in the last two thousand years in the West.

Thanks to reader Rick for pointing out that the Hindu Ardhanari is a composite androgynous form of the Hindu god Shiva and his consort Parvati: half male and half female, split down the middle. Note the Ankh is used here as a depiction of both male and female genitalia.

The Hindu androgyne reminds me of Baphomet whom the Templars revealed they worshipped under torture by the French Catholics in 1307.

Often mistaken for Satan, Baphomet represents the duality of male and female, as well as Heaven and Hell or night and day signified by the raising of one arm and the downward gesture of the other. -Source

Andre van Lysebeth shows in Tantra that the Om glyph actually represents the sexual act (female on the left and male on the right in this case) with what looks to me like the sun and moon in the upper right:

The Ankh is similar to the concept of the Tao in Chinese philosophy and religion. Opposites coming together form a dynamic balance.

I had always associated synchronicity with Carl Jung but recently rereading Lama Anagarika Govinda’s The Inner Structure of the I Ching I was reminded that as a mode of thinking it is profoundly Chinese. Govinda writes: “All our reasoning is based on the law of cause and effect operating as a sequence. The Chinese do not reason so much along this horizontal line from past, through present to future; they reason perpendicularly, from what is in one place now to what is in another place now. In other words, they do not ask why, or from what past causes, a certain set of things is happening now; they ask, ‘What is the meaning of these things happening at this moment?’ The word Tao is the answer to this question. The present situation within and around oneself is Tao, for the present moment is life. Our memory of the past is contained in it as well as the potentiality for the future.”

Squaring the circle also comes to mind as a larger resolution of opposites, in the case of heaven and earth.

Slight dyslexia is all you need to get from Angels to Angles. In many areas of mathematics angles are measured in radians rather than degrees. One radian is equal to about 57 degrees (57.2957795…).

360 degrees = 2π or 6.283185… radians. An angle of 1 radian results in an arc with a length equal to the radius of the circle.

Tau is the 19th letter of the Greek alphabet. Three Taus therefore have a value of 3 x 19 = 57.

Triple Tau is an important Masonic symbol.

“This emblem, placed in the center of a Triangle and Circle – both emblems of Deity – constitutes the jewel of the Royal Arch as practiced in England, where it is so highly esteemed as to be called the “emblem of all emblems,” and “the grand emblem of Royal Arch Masonry.” -Source

The Royal Arch Degree Jew-el has a Star of David composed of two interlocking triangles (male and female) and a triple Tau at the bottom. This reminds me of the phrase triple bottom line or Hermes Trismegistus.

This ancient Alchemical emblem found in the ruins of Pompei suggests that the Star of David is a metaphor for the sexual act, a fact covered up by the SATOR magic square (see Paternoster Squares).

Robert Fowler discovered a cipher in Shakespeare’s sonnets dedication poem that requires one understand the Royal Arch Degree jewel in order to decode it. It’s a fascinating intellectual journey that I won’t belabour in this post.

However I will mention the decoded message refers to eternal life and a diagram that appears to depict Orion, an obelisk, a pyramid, the Star of David, and rays of the Sun. It is becoming harder not to see that Francis Bacon was involved in writing the works of “William Shakespeare.”

The 33rd degree jewel depicts four Taus forming a Greek cross.

“The quadruple tau, moreover, being composed entirely of ‘right angles, horizontals, and perpendiculars,’ contains within itself all the secret signs of Freemasonry, a fact which I am not permitted to further explain. I’m not a mason but am bright enough to see at least on one level that the Quadruple Tau cross represents the great cross in the heavens as discussed in my Esoteric Astronomy video. The four beasts corresponding to the fixed signs in the aforementioned alchemical seal and Royal Arch degree jewel support this notion.

Here’s the Hindu version of the 33rd degree jewel: the Sri Yantra aka Sri Chakra. In addition to four taus, it features nine interlocking triangles, just as the 33rd degree jewel shows a nine pointed star and the brazen serpent jewel depicts a nine-pointed star.

That brings me to a couple of very interesting buildings I’ve become aware of that I think encode the Quadruple Tau symbol. First up is Terrace on the Park at 52-11 111th Street in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, NY. Do you see the solar 52 weeks in a year encoded with all the ones? The building was contructed as a helipad for the 1964 World’s Fair, which I plan to post about another time. One can say it has a special connection with the sky.

Here is the official video about what goes on inside Terrace on the Park. Lots of people getting married inside Terrace on the Park seems quite appropriate symbolically.

Finally my thanks to Grant Chamberlin who discovered something very interesting about the CitiGroup Center (aka 601 Lexington Ave) in Manhattan.

The square base reminds me of the Quadruple Tau even though it is not highlighted as such.

Grant noticed that there are 32 full panels across the top of the T plus 2 half panels, making a total of 33 panels on each side. Just a coincidence or the Tao of the Tau?

Mike Montesano posted a comment on my World Trade Center post that suggested that the mapping between the three pyramids of Giza and Reflecting Absence plus the Freedom Tower discussed in Stars of Lower Manhattan makes the most sense when inverted:

The reason it makes more sense inverted is because the location of the Sphinx then matches up with the location of the Path Transportation Hall.

The letter S surely symbolizes slithery serpents. Looking at one half of the reflection that constitutes Osiris’ Rod, it occurred to me we are seeing the symbolic source of script. Expanding the symbol I reveal “she whom no mortal hath ever unveiled”, sister-wife of Osiris:

What is the World Trade Center but a symbol of the centralization of money flowing around the world?

To really get to the source of things we turn to Genesis 3:14 (the Pi verse) and Dennis Fetcho:

“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life”

This is what is known as an acroamatic cipher, or a form of oral or written instruction or story about a key letter or component to the larger Construct.  In this case, the serpent as represented by snake eyes…when you have snake eyes showing, you must “go to the belly” and utilize the “6’s” that are but the belly of the serpent, or the digits of the dice that are resting on the surface of the table.

The Sum of 1:11 = 1+2+3+4+5+6+8+9+10+11 = 66

Hence the “1” and “1” of “snake eyes” as thrown by the “1”s of the dice may reduced to being represented as “11”, and then when summed from 1:11, then reveals the two 6’s that are resting on the table as being “the belly of the serpent”.

In other words, from “two doth come 11″ as encoded by Shakespeare:

PRINCE HENRY: O monstrous! eleven buckram men grown out of two!

Two 1’s as “two” may also be viewed as an 11.  This “2” of “11”, typically set in a Gemini or Twins or “number II” in Roman numerals all reveal “66”. -Dennis Fetcho

Grant Chamberlin sent me the following freaky info this morning while I was writing this post [FYI: I am in awe of the synchronicity in my life]: Psalm 46 was read by Obama at the 9-11-11 ritual.

Psalm 46 is the 666th chapter from the end of the King James Bible. In addition the original King James Bible from 1611 has Psalm 46 printed on page 666.

Among the coincidences revolving William Shakespeare being 46 when this was printed in the 1611 King James bible (look upside down, it shows 11-9-1), and his name appearing in code at the 46th word from the beginning and 46 words from the end of the verse. -Source

In the 1611 King James bible, the serpent said exactly 46 words to Eve (Genesis Chapter 3):

Mark Gray has blown my mind again with the following:

The following photo reveals that there are actually 33 tables in a Phi spiral, 9 planters, and 3 pyramids surrounding the Sphere in the former WTC Courtyard (count them).

How can you not see Giza in the sculpture in the WTC Courtyard, with two large and one small pyramid?

The Sphere was moved to Battery Park after 9/11. Mark discovered that the Sphere is located 33,000 inches from its original location. I measured and think it is actually 33,333 inches but don’t want to split hairs. Whatever the case the two Tridents (33) in the 9/11 Memorial discussed in my Freedom Tower post are where the Sphere used to be.

Let’s not forget that the decimal latitude plus longitude of the Freedom Tower is -33.3°.

40.713° -74.013° = -33.300°

Will Barrett’s incredible discoveries linking the Platonic Solids to the cycle of precession (Earth’s wobble) has one equation that really stands out to me:

33.3333333 x 25920 = 864000

In other words the “masonic number” times the number of years in the Earth’s precessional cycle equals the diameter of the Sun in miles.

I listened to a Red Ice interview with David Flynn (part 2 in particular) yesterday where David revealed a strikingly similar but different equation:

8640 x 3 = 25920

David Flynn discovered that one third of the Earth’s precessional cycle is spent in the Draco (dragon) constellation. The north pole enters the dragon around 6627 BC. Here’s a picture from my Esoteric Astronomy video describing the path the Earth’s pole traces out in the heavens:

This meshes with Revelation 12:4-9:

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

As I previously mentioned, one-third of the precessional cycle is 8640 years. Jesus was officially crucified in 33 AD because he was 33 years old when this occurred and our calendar is based upon his birth. The devil is in the details; note the 6660 year span prior to 33 AD.

The Freedom Tower will be completed by 2013, just in time for the new aeon. The transition of the age will probably occur 11 days earlier at 11:11 Universal Time on 21 Dec 2012.

The nine benches around the Sphere also blew my mind because of the ennead discussed in my San Francisco episode and Sundial Bridge posts.

The JCN thing really gives me the chills. The Freemasons and Illuminati may be part of the conspiracy but the English language? Clearly there are different levels to the mystery and language encoding is much deeper than I can fathom. Hyperdimensional intelligence is at play.

The title of this post is 11:11 and I can finally get to describing the master number. What do you see when you look at the lucky sixes?

The WFC was designed by Cesar Pelli, the same architect who designed One Canada Square in London (that looks just like WFC1) which encodes so many Secrets in Plain Sight. You can see the Freedom Tower being constructed across the street in the background.

Mark Gray tipped me off to the “Eleven Tears” monument inside the lobby of American Express’ corporate headquarters at 3 WFC (the tallest building with a pyramid on top):

American Express has commissioned and constructed a work of art to honor the 11 AMEX employees killed in the terrorist attack.

”Eleven Tears” was designed by architect Ken Smith. The installation consists of an 11-sided, 600-pound piece of natural Brazilian quartz that resembles a gigantic tear. This ”tear” is set in a steel ring suspended from the ceiling by 11 cables, and hovers over an 11-sided black granite fountain with the names of the employees cut into the 11 corners.

The reflection of the 600-pound crystal in that dark pool of water is stunning; it resembles a crystal cone rising out of the depths. Even more remarkable are the 11 drops of water — 11 invisible tears — that fall at random intervals from the ceiling into the pool, creating ripples that expand and intersect in the water.

”The thing I had been obsessing about was the sky and ground,” Mr. Smith said. ”I wanted to unite sky and ground, the ceiling and floor, heaven and earth. Water seemed an obvious way to make the connection.” The notion of 11 tears came quickly: ”Each ripple was really a person; tears and ripples merged together.” -NY Times

Eleven Tears is the most incredible reflecting monument to 11:11 that I can even imagine.

Mike Montesano sent me an email with a link to this article discussing the symbolism of Freedom Tower:

“The building will have a swirling, steel spire that will flash the letter “N” for New York, which will be visible all the way from the Tappen Zee Bridge northward, and southward to Sandy Hook, N.J.”

The tallest building in the United States will presumably be visible for miles around in all directions. Why did the article mention two specific unusual sites unless there is a secret encoded?

In JCN both of these phrases are full matches:

Zinc Sulfate is historically known as “white vitriol” and is used as a preservative for skins and leather. This reminds me of mummification. An Egyptian connection perhaps?

Here’s what freemason Leon Zeldis has to say about VITRIOL:

The word VITRIOL is displayed in the Chamber of Reflection, used in some masonic rituals as the first contact of the candidate with the Lodge. Its meaning is not always apparent, although its alchemical origin is well known. The word is actually composed of the initials of a Latin sentence:
“VISITA  INTERIORA  TERRA  RECTIFICANDO  INVENIES  OCCULTUM  LAPIDEM”

Visit the interior of the earth and rectifying (i.e. purifying), you will find the hidden stone.

This has been interpreted as a message inciting the initiate to delve into his own soul in order to find wisdom. However, let us examine closely each of the words.

• VISITA. A visit. This means that the initiate journey into his soul must be a two-way journey, like the course followed on a labyrinth, which ends by returning to the starting point. The initiate must not seek to remain inside. He goes and comes back. He visits.
• INTERIORA. The interior, the inside. As The Gospel of Phillip, quoted in A Gnostic Book of Hours states: ‘The revealed one they call “the one who is below”, and the hidden one is supposed to be above him. It would be better for them to say, “The Inner and the Outer”, and “What is outside of the outer.” This means that the usual Gnostic principle “what is above is also below” can be transformed into “what is inside is also outside”.
• TERRA. Earth, one of the alchemical elements. The ground, the basis, and also the material, terrestrial (as opposite to spiritual or ethereal). The body.
• RECTIFICANDO. Like rectified alcohol. This means at the same time an act of purification and of straightening. Whatever is bent must be straightened. The straight path must be followed. By rectifying our thoughts and our actions we shall find the hidden truth.
• INVENIES. Literally: “shall find”. The same root of “invention”. Coming upon something (previously unknown). Karl Popper maintained that scientific truth must be invented.
• OCCULTUM. Here we find a connection with “occulum”, the eye. The T may refer to Templum, the temple. This can be intepreted as the All-Seeing Eye that dwells within the Temple.
• LAPIDEM. The stone. Stone has many connection with the sacred. Altars are made of stone. Kings are crowned seated on a stone. The symbolism of the stone is extensive.
• By displaying VITRIOL to the eyes of the candidate, the intention is to teach him to search within his own soul and spirit in order to find the philosopher’s stone, that is, the key to understanding and eternal life.

Vitriol is also the name of a chemical compound: a caustic sulfate of various metals, such as copper, iron or zinc. The demonic aspect of sulfur and the yellow color is well known, this, together with the red of copper and the black of iron, are the basic colors of alchemical symbolism.

The rituals of the first degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite are strongly influenced by the symbolism of alchemy, and the decoration of the Chamber of Reflection is just one of the examples of this connection. -Source

If the Chamber of Reflection is the interior journey then what is the external journey?

Speaking of journeys to the interior of the Earth, I just listened to a fascinating Red Ice interview with Aaron Kaplan discussing Operation Highjump, Admiral Byrd’s Diaries, and the Nazi-piloted UFOs that came out of the center of the earth through the south polar opening.

Neuschwabenland in the Antarctic was explored by the Nazis in early 1939 and named after that expedition’s ship, the Schwabenland, itself named after the German region of Swabia. See my post on 33.

Neuschwabenland lies due south of Rome. I just measured it in Google Earth and there is a point within Neuschwabenland that is 6666 miles from the Vatican obelisk at a bearing of 180 degrees true North.

Perhaps that is the location of the portal to the hollow earth, the literal kingdom of the gods?
