Hace un tiempo viajamos con nuestros hijos al sur. Por el camino, para alegría de todos, vimos al costado un tren que surcaba en dirección al sur. “Niños, vean, un tren” dije, y enseguida me hice merecedor de un sinfín de preguntas: ¿A dónde viaja? ¿A qué velocidad anda? ¿Quién llegará antes: Nosotros, él? Y finalmente, uno de los nenes preguntó: Pero, papá ¿cómo hace el tren para dar vuelta?
"¿Cómo hace? El tren no da vuelta. La locomotora que se encuentra al frente tira de los carrones tras ella, y cuando llega a su destino, sencillamente comienza a andar en dirección contraria, empujando todos los carrones que antes tiraba" – le contesté. El tren no da vuelta: La locomotora cambia de sentido, a veces tira andando adelante, y a veces empuja andando para atrás – pero es la misma locomotora.
Me acordé de esa charla en nuestra Parashá, Vaieji. El episodio en el que Iaacov bendice a sus hijos es maravilloso. Cada tribu recibe su cometido, el animal que lo ejemplifica, la bendición especial de ella.
Cada función es aclarada, y vemos al frente la tribu de Iehudá, el líder, el que dirige, rey y juez. Y en contraste – la tribu de Dan en la retaguardia, la tribu menor, el que marcha atrás de todo el campamento.
A primera vista, dos polos opuestos. Dos funciones distintas. Estar al frente y dirigir, o andar tras todos y ser el que recoge a los que la marcha les es difícil. Pero en realidad, las líneas de semejanza entre Iehudá y Dan son muchas.
Ambos son comparados con un león: Iehudá por Iaacov, “cachorro de león eres, Iehudá” (Bereshit 49:9) y Dan por Moshé, “Dan, cachorro de león, que salta desde el Bashan” (Dvarim 33:22). Ambos se ocupan del juicio: “No se apartará el cetro de Iehudá” (Bereshit 49:10), y en paralelo “Dan juzgará a su pueblo como uno de las tribus de Israel” (Bereshit 49:16). Ambos envían un representante para la construcción del Beit HaMikdash (El Templo): Betzalel de Iehudá, y Aholiav de la tribu de Dan.
Ambos dirigen su campamento: Iehudá lleva el estandarte del campamento de él con Isajar y Zvulun, mientras que Dan lleva el estandarte del suyo, con Asher y Naftali.
Entonces, no se trata de dos polos opuestos sino que dos tipos distintos de liderazgo. Hay un liderazgo que conduce, que arrastra tras él y dice: “Tras mío”. Y hay un liderazgo que contiene a todos, que recoge todo, que se encarga que nada quede atrás, que todo lo perdido vuelva a su dueño – ya sea una pérdida física o espiritual.
Dan es el que se ve obligado a tratar con los débiles, los que ya no tienen fuerzas para seguir andando. Ellos quieren abandonar la marcha, descansar a un lado, han perdido las esperanzas, y por supuesto que justamente allí los espera Amalek, para atacar los rezagados, esas almas perdidas que se han cansado.
Pero justamente allí se encuentra Dan, andando lentamente. No busca prestigio y no quiere ir al frente, sino que con una paciencia infinita recoge todos los débiles, los alienta, los juzga para bien, y los hace volver.
La tribu de Dan tiene muchas personas. Así traduce Ionatan Ben Uziel: “El hijo de Dan, Jushim” (Bereshit 46:23) – "los hijos de Dan son expeditivos y negociantes, y no hay número para su cantidad".
Se trata de una tribu que tiene muchas personas. Todo grupo humano está organizado en forma piramidal. En la cabeza – se encuentran las personas más cultas y sabias, que son siempre la minoría. Y en la base – la muchedumbre, muchas personas, sencillas en su forma de ser. Esa es la tribu de Dan. Sencillez y naturalidad sanas, que no se complican con demasiadas cavilaciones, sino que viven la verdad con sencillez y rectitud, también si no siempre son capaces de explicarlo de la mejor forma.
El oprobio en el entierro de Iaacov era espantoso. Esav se encuentra en la puerta de Mearat HaMajpela (la Cueva de Majpela), y arguye que es su posesión: Se trata de un asunto político complejo y delicado, que exige un trato diplomático cuidadoso, y es necesario traer documentos y pruebas de los archivos, y ya es enviado Naftali, y quizás es necesario hacer algún tipo de acuerdo de concesión justo, general y duradero que sea aceptado por ambas partes… Todo eso lo ve Jushim, el hijo de Dan - que es un poco sordo - y no entiende todo lo que ocurre. Y justamente por eso reacciona en forma espontánea: "Les dijo, ¡¿y hasta que vuelva Naftali de la tierra de Egipto el cadáver del padre de mi padre estará esperando ser enterrado, vergonzosamente?!" Tomo un palo, y le dio un golpe en la cabeza a Esav.
La tribu de Dan fue merecedora de un liderazgo natural, que marcha tras el campamento. Un límite trasero que no puede ser traspasado, natural, sencillo y sano, que no desiste de nada.
Parte de ese liderazgo le es necesario a Am Israel (el Pueblo de Israel). Ambos extremos del círculo que se encuentran alejados, son también los más cercanos. Iehudá y Dan edifican juntos el Mishkan (Tabernáculo) de Am Israel: El liderazgo natural, que dirige, la reinal conducción de Iehudá, y también ese liderazgo que marcha a la retaguardia, de Dan. Pero cuando Dan es llamado a tomar una encumbrada posición, se queda en su sencillez, todavía se llama a sí mismo “el último de las tribus”… “Porque Aholiav se consideraba el último, y por ello realmente él podía edificar el Mishkan y sus utensilios. Y se puede explicar según lo que fue dicho, dijo Rabí Ioshua Ben Levi, cuando el Beit HaMikdash existe, la persona ofrece su sacrificio de Ola, y recibe la recompensa de la Ola. Ofrece Minja, recibe la recompensa de la Minja. Pero el humilde, el versículo dice que es como si ofreciese todos los sacrificios juntos, como dice el versículo ‘sacrificio de D’s, el espíritu quebrantado’ (Tehilim 51:19). Y no sólo eso, sino que también su rezo no es menospreciado, como dice el versículo ‘el corazón quebrantado y contrito, D’s no despreciarás’ (Tehilim 51:19) (Sanhedrin 43B, Sota 5B). Y también dicen que el Rebe Rav Bunim z”l citó a su padre, el Maguid de Wodislav z”l que el que ofrece Ola, siente como si él ha hecho algo – ofreció un sacrificio, y por ello recibe recompensa por ello. Pero el que es humilde, sabe que no ha entregado nada, y por ello realmente es más elogioso que el que ofreció un sacrificio. Es como si ya hubiese sacrificado todos los sacrificios, porque no siente que hizo algo valioso en absoluto. Y así fue respecto a Aholiav, que también después de haber edificado el Mishkan, todavía pensaba que es de la última tribu" (el Beit Israel, zt”l).

Reddish Aldebaran – the fiery eye of the Bull in the constellation Taurus – is an aging star and a huge star! The computed diameter is between 35 and 40 solar diameters. If Aldebaran were placed where the sun is now, its surface would extend almost to the orbit of Mercury.
This star glows with the orangish color of a K5 giant star. In visible light, it is about 153 times brighter than the sun, although its surface temperature is lower (roughly 4000 kelvins compared to 5800 kelvins for the sun).

Aldebaran is about 65 light-years away, much closer than the stars of the Hyades with which it misleadingly seems associated. The Hyades are about 150 light-years away.
Aldebaran is an erratic variable with minor variations too small to be noticed by the eye. It also has a small, faint companion star, an M-type red dwarf, some 3.5 light-days away. In other words, light from Aldebaran would need to travel for 3.5 days to reach the companion, in contrast to light from our sun, which requires 8 minutes to travel to Earth.
Aldebaran is part of a V-shaped pattern of stars called the Hyades. This pattern represents the Face of the Bull in the constellation Taurus.
How to see it
Aldebaran is easy to find. Frequently imagined as the fiery eye of Taurus the Bull, Aldebaran is part of a V-shaped star grouping that forms the face of the Bull. This pattern is called the Hyades.
You can also locate Aldebaran using the famous constellation Orion as a guide. Simply locate the three stars of Orion’s Belt. Then draw an imaginary line through the belt to the right. The first bright star you come to will be Aldebaran with its distinctive reddish-orange glow.

Aldebaran is the 14th brightest star, but five of those that outshine it are only barely visible or not visible at all from much of the Northern Hemisphere. Aldebaran is primarily a winter and spring star. At least, that is when this red star is most easily visible in the evening sky. By early December, it rises shortly after sunset and is visible all night. Three months later it is high to the south at sunset, and sets at around midnight. By early May, it hangs low about the western sunset glow – and before the end of the month, it’s lost altogether. It returns to the predawn sky around late June.
By the way, although it appears among them, Aldebaran is not actually a member of the V-shaped Hyades cluster. It is actually much closer to us in space than the actual Hyades stars.
History and Myth
Aldebaran is often depicted as the fiery eye of Taurus the Bull. Because it is bright and prominent, Aldebaran was honored as one of the Four Royal Stars in ancient Persia, the other three Royal Stars being Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut.

The name Aldebaran is from the Arabic for “The Follower,” presumably as a hunter following prey, which here likely was the star cluster we call the Pleiades. The latter was often viewed as a flock of birds, perhaps doves. According to Richard Hinckley Allen in his classic book Star Names, the name Aldebaran once was applied to the entire Hyades star cluster, a large loose collection of faint stars.
In Hindu myth, Aldebaran was sometimes identified with a beautiful young woman named Rohini, disguised as an antelope and pursued by her lecherous father, disguised as a deer, Mriga. Apparently several ancient peoples associated the star with rain. The Wikipedia entry notes a Dakota Sioux story in which Aldebaran was a star which had fallen to the Earth and whose killing of a serpent led to the formation of the Mississippi River. Allen notes a number of other alternate names, but precious little mythology is known for Aldebaran separately.
Aldebaran is the name of one of the chariot horses in the movie Ben Hur.
On a different note, astronomer Jack Eddy has suggested a connection with the Big Horn Medicine Wheel, an ancient circle of stones atop a mountain in Wyoming. Eddy wrote that the ancient Americans may have used this site as a sort of observatory to view the rising of Aldebaran just before the sun in June to predict the June solstice.
Interestingly, in about two million years, the American spaceprobe Pioneer 10, now heading out into deep space, will pass Aldebaran.

Saturn reveals a golden ratio phi relationship in several of its dimensions

A closer look at Saturn’s rings reveals a darker inner ring which exhibits the same golden section proportion as the brighter outer ring.
Venus and Earth reveal a golden ratio phi relationship

In addition, Venus orbits the Sun in 224.695 days while Earth orbits the Sun in 365.242 days, creating a ratio of 8/13 (both Fibonacci numbers) or 0.615 (roughly phi.) Thus 5 conjunctions of Earth and Venus occur every 8 orbits of the Earth around the Sun and every 13 orbits of Venus.
Mercury, on the other hand, orbits the Sun in 87.968 Earth days, creating a conjunction with the Earth every 115.88 days. Thus there are 365.24/115.88 conjunctions in a year, or 22 conjunctions in 7 years, which is very close to Pi!

Note: We sometimes forget about the asteroids when thinking of the planets in our solar system. Ceres, the largest asteroid, is nearly spherical, comprises over one-third the total mass of all the asteroids and is thus the best of these minor planets to represent the asteroid belt. 2005 unveiled the discovery of a 10th planet called 2003UB313. It was found at a distance of 97 times that of the Earth from the Sun. Its ratio to Pluto would thus be 2.47224, much higher than any previous planet to planet orbital distance ratio. Could it be that this is actually the 11th planet and the 10th planet will be found at an orbit whose ratio is 1.52793 times that of Pluto, preserving the phi average? Time will only tell, but if it happens remember that you heard it here first.
The shape of the Universe itself is a dodecahedron based on Phi
New findings in 2003 based on the study of data from NASA’s Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) on cosmic background radiation reveal that the universe is finite and shaped like a dodecahedron, a geometric shape based on pentagons, which are based on phi. The the Universe page for more.

Speaking of that, perhaps I should go ahead and do some data dump here concerning the last Damage Plan Event (Midway, Chicago). Let's do that in a crash course fashion. Hopefully you get it, if not, well, don't worry about it... at least your sub/unconscious mind will get the gist. :) The most basic contextual foundation here is that December 8th is 'Damage Plan Disclosure Day' - when things happen that contain 'seeds' of information concerning major 'Damage Events' ahead. This was first noticed in 2004 (the Damageplan concert shooting event in Columbus, Ohio) partly through which we were able to anticipate the upcoming exit of Pope John Paul II and the Sumatra 'Great Flood', though the latter was seen to have been foreshadowed by the DP Day event along with a few others more clearly in hindsight. (Based on multicontextual signals that preceded it, we were actually anticipating something substantial to take place on 12/8/04.)
Exactly a year after that original Damage Plan Disclosure scheme came the plane crash/hard-landing at Midway Airport in Chicago. Aside from being a 'kamikaze' incident (by that time plane crashes were considered to be practically always major 'signals' relating to that 'divine wind' motif), the location of Chicago itself was already a telling 'signal' making reference to the last major Damage Event, as you can see:
Taking a closer look, it quickly became obvious that the shape of the airport where the incident took place was ('Midway' = balance = justice/judgment) very much in accordance with many of the 'underground' themes/contexts, prominently the 'cross-quarter' concept. (And 'cross quarter days' are of course those that come right at the halfway point between a solstice and a equinox.) The following decoding was done by the end of last year (2005):

The Axes of Paris are aligned with key sites in the US as you should know by now, and in 2005 it was most notable that the 'Tower Axis' (the axis of the Eiffel Tower/Champ de Mars) was aligned with the landing site of the sole space shuttle mission in 2005 ('Return to Flight').
There is a big secret yet to be revealed concerning this but that's for another time. It was a supremely important event and as a matter of fact without it we wouldn't be talking about Paris and the US Golden Transit Line and such as we have done all year. It facilitated discoveries of such momentous revelations - 'Grail' stuff - that we have never looked at space shuttle missions the same way again. In a way, 'Enki' speaks the loudest through NASA - and why not, NASA is the organization that bridges heaven and earth at this point in history. NASA is the Tower of Babel through which 'divine' Communication can take place a la the Ark of the Covenant - symbolically speaking. In this sense, the lightening strike of Atlantis STS-115 right before launch day in August (delayed as a result) was highly telling and ominous development, evoking the Tarot cart #16 - discussed in my Gateway to War article. 'Atlantis', as 'Atlas', is a tower figure as in the 'Pillars of Hercules' embodying the lost world famously described in Plato's writings. So that's very fitting indeed. On a symbolic level, the storyline has to do with the 'Stargate' project initiated by mankind being 'blocked' by... the 'gods' as per the famous story in the Book of Genesis. This closely related to the Great Flood story (which is the ultimate 'Judgment' event).
Keep in mind that it is the 'Tower Axis' of Paris that's aligned with Edwards AFB, where Discovery STS-114 made its 'Grail landfall' in August 2005 right during a cross-quarter window (Lughnasadh, early August). And the same alignment line passes right through the 'Genesis Crossroads' where NASA's Genesis (and Stardust) probe crash landed in 2004, thus intensifying the echo of the Genesis-driven events.
The force of 'Judgment' gaining momentum through this pattern is applicable to the Pope situation as touched on in Gateway to War. The #16 tarot card and the '#16' Pope (i.e. Benedict XVI) cannot be seen separately, and the fact that the period of great trouble for the Pope in September (caused by his anti-Islam rhetoric) almost perfectly coincided with the Atlantis STS-115 mission, and the fact that I saw it coming days before he made the controversial speech in Germany, should speak volumes and can be viewed as a clear foreshadowing of what's ahead for the Pope/Church. The Vatican/Church can easily be seen as a form of the Tower of the Babel, (supposedly) occupying the space between heaven and earth or the realms of God and men.

Mars, Saturn, and Spica
The tower erected in 1889 by freemason Gustave Eiffel (who also designed the inner structure of the Statue of Liberty) remains to this day the tallest structure in Paris. The Eiffel tower served as the entrance to the World’s Fair, opening out onto the Champ de Mars. The Mars Field is named after the Campus Martius in Rome, which honors the Roman god of war.
I’ve been using the most popular depiction of a man’s body ever made – Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian man – to uncover embodied urban symbolism, see Astana and the Olympics.
The Roman Vitruvius’ Ten Books of Architecture explained how effective temples are based on the human body. I have found just such a temple resonating with Mars in the heart of Paris.
Mars’ phallus obviously maps to the Eiffel tower, his navel power chakra maps to the fountain at the center of the paths, his heart chakra is on the cross axis with Mitterand’s ancient Egyptian-themed 1989 French bicentennial Monument of Human Rights, and the obelisk at Place Fontenoy is his pineal gland/third eye chakra. Incidentally, this same obelisk forms part of the solar alignment discussed in Secrets In Plain Sight – Volume 1.
Notice also that the Military School itself forms a collar to the Vitruvian man’s head and UNESCO forms a kind of helmet, horn, or Martian antenna.
The red and white fields resonate with the two hemispheres of the brain, the colors of upper and lower Egypt, the two springs at Glastonbury, or blood and semen. The lattermost pairing resonates with the killing and rape associated with war. You could say Mars is embodied at the scale of this famous linear urban complex. Is his power somehow magically transferred to the military school?
I find it fascinating that the Comte de Saint-Germain reorganized the Ecole Militaire in 1777. St. Germain is one of the most interesting persons in history.
Myths, legends and speculations about St. Germain began to be widespread in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and continue today. They include beliefs that he is immortal, the Wandering Jew, an alchemist with the “Elixir of Life”, a Rosicrucian, and that he prophesied the French Revolution. He is said to have met the forger Giuseppe Balsamo (alias Cagliostro) in London and the composer Rameau in Venice. Some groups honor Saint Germain as a supernatural being called an Ascended Master. -Source
Synchronicity: St. Germain is one of the main characters in a book I’m currently reading to my son, The Magician by Michael Scott.
Napoleon attended the Ecole Militaire in 1784 and is entombed very close by in Les Invalides.
Being familiar with David Wood’s book GenIsis (1985), I see a connection to the Mars linear complex in Paris. Before I tell you what that is, let me show you the structured landscape that Wood discovered 660 kilometers due South in the region of Rennes le Chateau.
When I first saw this geometry I dismissed it because it is not a regular pentagram but a pentacle. However I was far too hasty. After having recently read Wood’s follow up book that he wrote with Ian Campbell called GeneSet (1994), I see incredible wisdom in the diagram that wasn’t open to me until I grew to have eyes to see it.
If the green circle has a radius of 1 then its circumference is exactly 2 Pi. The amazing thing is, the golden triangle also has a perimeter of 2 Pi (99.8% accurate). So in a sense this diagram is every bit as important as Squaring the Circle is in sacred geometry. I think of this as Triangulating the Circle.
The key to Triangulating the Circle is dividing the circle into 15 parts as was done with the gray 15 pointed star. This 15 part division was suggested by the placement of the towns around Rennes le Chateau and that is how Wood chanced upon this geometric discovery.
In GenIsis Wood mentions the Osiris story and how it is usually reported that Set cut Osiris’ body into 14 pieces and threw his phallus into the Nile. He claims there were therefore a total of 15 pieces rather than 14 as is usually reported. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. There really are 15 parts to the male body if you count them. The 15th part would be the pointy extension in the diagram that penetrates the circle. It has a 36 degree internal angle just like the regular pentagram.
I noticed another intriguing layer embedded in Wood’s diagram. In John Martineau’s A Little Book of Coincidence in the Solar System he mentions that Saturn’s and Earth’s sizes (99%) and mean orbits (98%) are given by a 15 pointed star such that the inner circle represents Earth and the outer circle represents Saturn.
Immanuel Velikovsky equated Saturn with Osiris in his book In the Beginning.
Wood and Campbell pointed out in GeneSet how Phi is also embedded in the diagram. I made a piece of art that shows these connections and more. To learn more about how the Sun and Saturn relate, watch David Talbot’s Thunderbolts of the Gods.
Sacred Marriage by Scott Onstott
Today using Google Earth I drew a circle that hits Rennes le Chateau, Cassaignes, Serres, Bugarach, and Saint-Just-et-le-Bezu (see enlarged diagram) and noticed that its area is 66,666,666 square meters. Amazing. This is the circumcircle in Wood’s diagram, shown in blue in my Google Earth image.
Then I copied the longitude of the center of this circle and flew back to Paris where I created a placemark along the Eiffel tower- Champ de Mars axis. Guess where this exact center point is: the center of la Place de Breteuil. This point is therefore perfectly due north of the center point of the same sized circle in the Languedoc. It is the intersection point of the Eiffel tower- Champ de Mars axis with the axis of Les Invalides where Napoleon was entombed. Breteuil was the Minister of War twice under Louis XV.
Drawing a circle with an area of 66,666,666 square meters from la Place de Breteuil has a resonance with Leonardo’s Vitruvian man because the center point is at the top of the circumcircle around the urban body of Mars and the corners of Leonardo’s page are touched by the circle itself.
The red line from the obelisk at Place Fontenoy traces the central axis of embodied Mars straight through the Eiffel tower at a heading of 314 degrees, recalling Pi.
Extending this line across the earth it goes directly to the center of Danebury iron age hill fort in the UK. Built in the the 6th century BC, Danebury is an intriguing place for the Paris Mars axis to end up for several reasons.
The Meteoritical Society lists the ‘first British meteorite find’ from the Danebury hill fort site. -Source I’m going to hazard a guess that this meteorite came from Mars.
Just a stone’s throw from the “hill fort” was a Roman villa or country farmhouse whose central floor mosaic has survived and been recently installed in the Museum of the Iron Age in nearby Andover. The Fullerton Mosaic depicts Mars at the center of the main room.
In the book Two-Thirds: A History of Our Galaxy (1993), the author David P. Myers tells an amazing story of an extra-terrestrial human civilization that colonized Mars eons ago and after a great war, they eventually came to our planet which they called…wait for it…Danebury. So perhaps the Danebury ring actually depicts the Earth. If so then the Paris Eiffel-Champ de Mars axis represents the colonists coming from Mars to Earth! All written out on the ground in plain sight.
Myers also goes on to draw a parallel between Cydonia on Mars and the Avebury/Silbury Hill complex. He claims the Martian colonists actually built Avebury ring and Silbury Hill as a mirror of their destroyed settlement on Mars. Here I’ve overlaid Google Mars imagery over Google Earth imagery and you can see the large crater and conical mound do match Avebury ring and Silbury Hill. The face on mars isn’t represented on earth (it’s a field) nor is the 5 sided pyramidal structure.
On August 5th 2012, Curiosity, NASA’s next Mars rover is scheduled to land on the red planet. August 5th just happens to be the date when a very special astronomical event occurs. An equilateral triangle (eye of God) forms with Mars, Saturn, and Spica in the constellation Virgo. All 3 are first magnitude objects and this arrangement will be easy to spot almost everywhere on Earth. Thanks to Daniel White for posting this intriguing video on my facebook wall.

Argumento
Harrison Ford caracterizado de Indiana Jones durante el rodaje de Indiana Jones y el reino de la calavera de cristal. Indy viste su característico sombrero fedora. En el comienzo de La última cruzada se explica cómo el joven Jones se hizo con su primer sombrero fedora.
- Utah, Estados Unidos, 1912
La historia comienza en 1912, cuando un Indiana Jones de trece años aparece cabalgando con su compañía de boy scouts en una zona desértica de Utah. El joven Indiana descubre a unos buscadores de tesoros furtivos en una cueva, los cuales acababan de encontrar una cruz que había pertenecido al conquistador español Francisco Vázquez de Coronado, la Cruz de Coronado.[n. 1] El jefe de los cazatesoros viste una chaqueta de cuero y un sombrero fedora, por lo que el joven Indiana le denomina «Fedora». Indy roba la cruz sosteniendo que debería permanecer en un museo en lugar de en una colección privada. Tras escapar de Fedora a caballo y refugiarse en un tren circense, el joven consigue un látigo en uno de los vagones, con el que termina hiriéndose el mentón, y adquiriendo una fobia a las serpientes al caer directamente en un vagón con reptiles. Aunque consigue huir con la cruz, los ladrones, en nombre de su cliente, Panama Hat (en referencia al sombrero panamá que lleva), le dicen al sheriff del pueblo donde viven que Indiana fue el ladrón y este se ve obligado a devolverla, mientras su descuidado padre, Henry Jones, sigue trabajando en su diario sobre el Santo Grial. El jefe de los ladrones, vestido de forma similar al Indiana futuro, e impresionado por el coraje del joven, le obsequia con unas palabras de aliento («Hoy has perdido, chico, pero no tiene por qué gustarte»)[n. 2] y le regala su sombrero fedora.
- Costa portuguesa, 1938
Mediante una elipsis hecha con el sombrero fedora de Indy, la historia avanza dieciséis años, dos después de los sucesos relacionados con el Arca de la Alianza. Indiana, ya adulto, se encuentra a bordo del barco de Panama Hat, el Coronado, junto a la costa portuguesa, y consigue arrebatarle finalmente la cruz antes de que el barco explote y volver a la Universidad Barnett, donde enseña. Allí, dona la cruz al museo que dirige Marcus Brody. Poco después recibe un paquete que no abre en ese momento.

Más adelante, Indiana se reúne con el millonario Walter Donovan en su apartamento. Donovan ha hecho generosas contribuciones al museo en los últimos años, e informa a Indiana de que su padre había desaparecido mientras buscaba una pista de la ubicación del Grial, del que Donovan cree que proporciona la inmortalidad. Donovan le muestra a Indiana la mitad de una antigua tablilla de arenisca con un texto en latín que parece datar del siglo XII, encontrada por unos empleados de Donovan en Anatolia. La tableta describe el escondite del Grial, pero se encuentra incompleta. Donovan también le cuenta que, según ciertos textos medievales, el hallazgo de dicha tablilla es una señal de la aparición del Grial. La segunda señal se podría encontrar en Venecia, en la tumba de un caballero de la Primera Cruzada. Donovan le cuenta que el encargado de la búsqueda del Grial en Venecia era su padre y que había desaparecido allí.
Poco después, Indiana visita el apartamento de su padre, que había sido registrado, y se percata de que el paquete que había recibido era el diario en el que su progenitor recogía todos sus hallazgos e impresiones en la búsqueda del Grial. Comprendiendo que su padre no le hubiese enviado el diario a menos que estuviese en dificultades, viaja a Venecia en compañía de Marcus para encontrarse con la doctora Elsa Schneider, ayudante de su padre en la búsqueda, y así seguirle el rastro a su extraviado padre. Su recorrido en Venecia comienza en la biblioteca donde fue visto la última vez. Allí, Indy reconoce una vidriera dibujada por su padre en el diario, bajo la que encuentra una «X» en el suelo, rompe una baldosa y entra en unas antiguas catacumbas inundadas de petróleo. En el interior se halla la tumba de sir Richard, el caballero de la Primera Cruzada, cuyo escudo contiene una versión completa de la información en la tablilla. Sin embargo, la Hermandad de la Espada Cruciforme, una sociedad religiosa secreta que protege el Santo Grial, incendia el petróleo de las catacumbas para matar a Indiana y a Elsa. Ante esto, Indiana derriba el sarcófago de Richard, de forma que Elsa y él pudieron resguardarse de las llamas, y así cruzar por una alcantarilla para salir de la biblioteca. Finalmente, ambos logran huir a bordo de una lancha a motor. La persecución termina cuando Jones logra capturar a Kazim, el líder de la sociedad secreta, el cual le explica que la Hermandad tiene como objetivo proteger al Grial de aquellos que lo buscan con intenciones perversas. Una vez que le convence de que su propósito es encontrar a su padre, y no el Grial, Kazim le revela que Henry está cautivo en el castillo de Brunwald, en Austria, cerca de la frontera con Alemania.
Antes de partir a Brunwald, Marcus e Indiana repasan el contenido del escudo de sir Richard. El texto del escudo habla de la antigua ciudad de Alejandreta que en la época de los Jones tenía el nombre de Iskenderun, una ciudad de la actual Turquía y entonces parte de la república de Hatay, un territorio disputado entre Turquía y el mandato francés de Siria. El diario de Henry proporcionaba instrucciones adicionales, que permitirían hallar la localización del Grial, de forma que Indiana envía a Marcus y a Kazim a Iskenderun mientras que él y Elsa parten a Brunwald para salvar a Henry. Mientras tanto, una vez en Iskenderun, Marcus, con el diario de Henry, se encuentra con Sallah, el cual intenta ayudarlo a ocultarse de una muchedumbre de gente, en la cual se hallan algunas personas trabajando para las tropas nazis que desean obtener información sobre el Grial.
HECHOS 12:12 -JUAN MARCOS ES EL GRIAL
- Castillo de Brunwald, Austria, junto a la frontera con Alemania
Al arribar al castillo, situado cerca de Salzburgo, el aventurero descubre que se trata de un centro de mando nazi. A pesar de ello, se las arregla para rescatar a su padre. Sin embargo, poco después ambos son traicionados por Schneider y Donovan, quienes trabajan en realidad para los nazis, y cuya doble identidad tenía la finalidad de involucrar a Indiana Jones en la búsqueda del Grial. No obstante, padre e hijo logran escapar, cruzando la frontera en motocicleta con Alemania y viajando a Berlín para recuperar el diario del primero, que había sido robado por los nazis y llevado allí por Schneider para mostrar el progreso de la misión al propio Hitler.
- Berlín, Alemania
Nada más llegar a Berlín, los Jones asisten a un acto nazi de quema de libros, donde un Indiana disfrazado intercepta a Elsa y la convence de devolverle el diario, tropezándose instantes después con Adolf Hitler. Indiana y Henry intentan salir de Alemania en un dirigible LZ-138 que se dirige a Atenas en un vuelo comercial, que despega sin que los Jones sean descubiertos. Sin embargo, al percatarse de su presencia entre el pasaje el capitán intenta regresar a Berlín, obligando a los protagonistas a escapar de la nave y abordar un avión de combate anclado al dirigible. En el proceso, deben evadir aviones de combate nazis. Para su desgracia, Henry, tratando de repeler a los aviones alemanes, accidentalmente le dispara a la cola de su propio avión y el vehículo se estrella, aunque logran salir ilesos. Posteriormente, en una playa, Henry usa su paraguas para espantar una bandada de gaviotas, que causan numerosos daños a un segundo avión perseguidor, haciendo que éste se estrelle. De esta forma, los Jones son capaces de reunirse con Sallah, un antiguo amigo de Indiana, enfrentándose a los nazis, quienes han capturado a Brody en Iskenderun, poco después de reunirse con Sallah.
- Hatay
El Tesoro de Petra al atardecer. El Tesoro de Petra (Al Khazneh), en Jordania, fue usado como el templo secreto donde se encontraba el Grial.
Tras su llegada a Iskenderun, la partida nazi, dirigida por el coronel Vogel de las SS, intenta negociar un tratado con el sultán ofreciéndole un cofre de joyas a cambio de libertad de movimiento en su territorio. El sultán accede, aunque prefiere un coche de la escolta nazi, un Rolls-Royce Phantom II, en lugar del cofre.
La partida nazi consta de camellos, caballos, escolta armada, provisiones, vehículos para el desierto y tanques. Con el mapa que portaba Brody, la partida, dirigida por Vogel, Schneider y Donovan, se dirige al cañón de la Media Luna. La Hermandad aparece también, atacando a la caravana nazi, pero es derrotada. Al mismo tiempo, Henry intenta rescatar a Brody del tanque en que está prisionero, pero también es capturado. Consecuentemente, Indy salta hacia el tanque y rescata a los prisioneros antes de que el vehículo caiga por un precipicio, lo cual causa la muerte del coronel Vogel.
Los Jones, Sallah y Brody llegan al cañón de la Media Luna, donde se encuentra el templo secreto que alberga el Grial. Los nazis les descubren y captura y Donovan le dispara a Henry, obligando a Indiana a recuperar el Grial para curar sus mortales heridas. Guiado por el diario, Indiana sortea las trampas mortales que guardan el acceso al Grial, llegando a una sala donde el Caballero del Grial, un caballero de la Primera Cruzada que se mantiene vivo por el poder del Grial, lo ha escondido entre muchas copas falsas, mientras Donovan y Elsa le siguen. El caballero les informa de que si desean el Grial, deben elegir sabiamente, pues si se bebe de un recipiente falso, el que lo hiciese moriría al instante. Schneider toma una copa dorada incrustada de joyas para Donovan, creyendo que se trata del cáliz auténtico. El millonario bebe impacientemente, pero no se trata del verdadero Grial, y Donovan muere de manera terrible, reduciéndose a polvo y cenizas.

La cuestión clave en las leyendas del Grial es encontrar la felicidad interior y la satisfacción eterna. La película es sobre un padre y un hijo encontrándose el uno al otro, más que sobre ir detrás de un objeto específico. Ellos encuentran el Grial en el otro.

En La última cruzada, Indiana Jones debe evitar que los nazis encuentren el Santo Grial. Para ello, tiene que rescatar antes a su padre, que ha sido secuestrado por los mismos nazis, puesto que posee un diario con la información necesaria para localizar el mítico objeto. Sin embargo, la búsqueda del Grial no es el tema principal de la película. En las tramas de búsqueda, el personaje se moldea y evoluciona a través de esta búsqueda y del éxito o fracaso en encontrar lo buscado,[11] lo que no ocurre en La última cruzada. Es la búsqueda de su padre lo que hace evolucionar al personaje de Indiana Jones y no la del Grial. Como en el resto de películas de la serie de Indiana Jones, el objeto buscado (el Arca de la Alianza, las piedras Shankará o la Calavera de Cristal) no es más que un McGuffin (una excusa argumental introducida para hacer avanzar el guion, utilizado el término acuñado por Alfred Hitchcock), tal como reconoció el propio George Lucas,[12] por lo que la búsqueda del Grial no es más que una excusa para buscar al padre. Según Lucas, la película trata del reencuentro entre un padre y su hijo y no de la búsqueda de un objeto.[10] La relación distanciada que Indiana mantiene con su padre es un tema que resulta común en otras películas de Spielberg, tales como E.T., el extraterrestre o Hook.[13] El propio Spielberg tenía una relación difícil con su padre.[10]
La exploración en La última cruzada del vínculo entre padres e hijos junto al uso de imágenes religiosas es comparable a otras dos películas de 1989, Star Trek V: la última frontera y Field of Dreams. La crítica del New York Times, Caryn James, sintió por su parte que dicha combinación en estas películas refleja las preocupaciones de la Nueva Era, donde el culto a Dios se equiparaba a la búsqueda de los padres. Asimismo, consideró que ni Indiana ni su padre se muestran preocupados por encontrar el Grial, o siquiera por derrotar a los malvados nazis, sino que más bien están interesados en encontrar un respeto profesional mutuo a través de sus aventuras. De igual manera, contrastó la destrucción bíblica del templo, con la mucho más efectiva y pacífica conversación entre los Jones, al final de la película. Ahí, notó que la madre de Indiana no está en el prólogo, concluyendo entonces que murió antes de que sucedieran los acontecimientos de la película.[14]

La última cruzada comparte la misma estructura narrativa con sus dos antecesoras. Las tres narran la búsqueda de un objeto de gran valor, tanto histórico como religioso y culminan en una elección, en la que Indiana tiene que optar entre el objeto buscado o una persona. Enfrentado a esta elección, y a diferencia de sus antagonistas, elige a la persona y no al objeto, dando cuenta de su transformación durante la búsqueda. Al final de la historia Indiana alcanza la iluminación interior: «espiritualidad sobre cinismo y necesidades comunitarias frente a metas personales».[15]

We can't talk about cross-quarter days without bringing up the Paris axes (at least on my websites). The 'Historical Axis' in the City of Light is an astronomical cross-quarter day maker, period. An obvious and important fact that's somehow still not being noticed outside of this website. (Researcher/writer Robert Bauval while very much aware of the solar alignment fails to realize that it has to do with cross-quarter days.)
Even less known is the Grande Arche at the western end of the Historical Axis, with a curious 6-degree deviation from the axis angle.
 
The 'twist' causes the solar alignment dates to shift... and pinpoints ~November 23 and ~January 19, coinciding with the Peru/Hawaii/Rio time code! (Nov 22/Jan 20 at Hawaii.)
Paris is an 'Isis/Sirius city' closely associated with Mary Magdalene, the Holy Grail, and such, and in 'The Da Vinci Code' the final resting place of the Grail is apparently under the pyramidion right beneath the inverted glass pyramid at the eastern end of the Historical Axis right in front of the Louvre where Poussin's 'Shepherds of Arcadia' normally resides (in Atlanta from February-September '07).

The Louvre glass pyramids are obviously a 'hyperlink' to the Giza pyramids and the Great Sphinx. The causeway connecting the Sphinx and the middle Giza pyramid is - you guessed it- a (horizon) cross-quarter marker designed to align with sunrise on ~October 25/February 17!

Unbeknownst to most, cross-quarter days have much to do with the Holy Grail, the Templars, 'stargate', and all that. This is something people will start to realize maybe next decade... or hopefully earlier.
At least 'Enki' whispering through NASA/space shuttles knows all about all things cross quarter... It's a deep rabbit hole leading to 'something wonderful' and we've only scratched the surface at this point.
