As you can see, the National Cathedral octagon had eye-catching cross markings depicted on its surface - the type known as the 'Jerusalem cross' which is a variant of the 'Crusaders' cross'... obviously reinforcing the underlying Dome of the Rock connection.
The combination implied here, that of the Dome of the Rock/Jerusalem and Crusaders, is highly evocative of the Knights Templar - the medieval 'warrior monks' and the guardians of the Holy Grail who had their headquarters on the Temple Mount near the Dome. They even identified themselves with Solomon's Temple if not the Dome of the Rock itself, which is made evident in the Templar cross pattee which, as has been noted by some, happens to be a 'coded' octagon!:
It is widely thought that the Templars went underground when the French king 'Philip the Fair' with the assistance of Pope Clement V started persecuting the order on the morning of October 13, 1307, forcing the knights to take refuge in safer parts of the world such as Scotland where they were welcomed and assimilated into Freemasonry led by the St. Clair/Sinclair family. Whatever the true story, it's clear that Freemasonry and the Knights Templar do have much in common, including their unique identification with Solomon's Temple. It is therefore of great significance for the purpose of our discussion that Gerald Ford was a 33° Freemason, underscoring the intensely 'Templar' nature of his funeral.
Even the 'two suns' quatrain (II-41) reemerges here to reiterate the Templar connection:

The cloud will make two suns appear:
The large mastiff will howl all night
When the great pontiff changes his abode.
Pope Clement V who turned on his own 'guardians' that the Templars were, was the same Pope who moved his 'abode' from Rome to Avignon, France in 1309, starting a unique period called the 'Babylonian Captivity'. That's exactly what is described in the last line of the quatrain! And chances are that this is also applicable in some way to the current papacy and/or the 2007-2012 'Mayan period'.
I should note that it was actually back in the summer of 2006 that Freemasonry began to make its presence known in 'the Communication'. From the start, it was presented as deeply embedded in the octagon/Deep Impact/Dome of the Rock symbolism... through the mission insignia of Discovery STS-121 (launched on the first Deep Impact anniversary):

Being a heavenly rock and an 'alter ego' of Comet Tempel 1, McNaught corresponds to the rock at the center of the Dome of the Rock where the Ark of the Covenant would have been kept inside the 'Holy of Holies' which in turn would have theoretically contained literal heavenly stones ('tablets' = meteorites) signifying 'seeds from heaven' or the 'foundation stone', a label by which the Dome's central rock is also known. Comet McNaught is even octagonal like the Dome of the Rock, in the sense that it was discovered on August 7, '06, the precise astronomical cross-quarter day marked by the sunset alignment of the Paris Historical Axis (consequently implying an octagonal configuration around the Sun)!
And it is the Masonic monument Grande Arche at the western edge of the same Paris Axis that, with its 'twisted' angle, pinpoints January 15-19, i.e. highlighting none other than the climax of Comet McNaught!

Geometry
Geometrically, the swastika can be regarded as an irregular icosagon or 20-sided polygon. The proportions of the Nazi swastika were fixed based on a 5 × 5 diagonal grid.[5]
Characteristic is the 90° rotational symmetry and chirality, hence the absence of reflectional symmetry, and the existence of two versions of swastikas that are each other's mirror image.

A right-facing swastika might be described as "clockwise" or "counter-clockwise".

The mirror-image forms are often described as:
- clockwise and anti-clockwise;
- left-facing and right-facing;
- left-hand and right-hand.
"Left-facing" and "right-facing" are used mostly consistently referring to the upper arm of an upright swastika facing either to the viewer's left (卍) or right (卐). The other two descriptions are ambiguous as it is unclear whether they refer to the arms as leading or being dragged or whether their bending is viewed outward or inward. However, "clockwise" usually refers to the "right-facing" swastika. The terms are used inconsistently in modern times, which is confusing and may obfuscate an important point, that the rotation of the swastika may have symbolic relevance, although ancient vedic scripts describe the symbolic relevance of clock motion and counter clock motion.[citation needed] Less ambiguous terms might be "clockwise-pointing" and "counterclockwise-pointing."
Nazi ensigns had a through and through image, so both versions were present, one on each side, but the Nazi flag on land was right-facing on both sides and at a 45° rotation.[6]
The name "sauwastika" is sometimes given to the left-facing form of the swastika (卍).[7]

Among the earliest cultures utilizing swastika is the neolithic Vinča culture of South-East Europe (see Vinča symbols).
More extensive use of the Swastika can be traced to Ancient India, during the Indus Valley Civilazation.
The swastika is a repeating design, created by the edges of the reeds in a square basket-weave. Other theories attempt to establish a connection via cultural diffusion or an explanation along the lines of Carl Jung's collective unconscious.
The genesis of the swastika symbol is often treated in conjunction with cross symbols in general, such as the sun cross of pagan Bronze Age religion. Beyond its certain presence in the "proto-writing" symbol systems emerging in the Neolithic,[8] nothing certain is known about the symbol's origin. There are nevertheless a number of speculative hypotheses. One hypothesis is that the cross symbols and the swastika share a common origin in simply symbolizing the sun. Another hypothesis is that the 4 arms of the cross represent 4 aspects of nature - the sun, wind, water, soil. Some have said the 4 arms of cross are four seasons, where the division for 90-degree sections correspond to the solstices and equinoxes. The Hindus represent it as the Universe in our own spiral galaxy in the fore finger of Lord Vishnu. This carries most significance in establishing the creation of the Universe and the arms as 'kal' or time, a calendar that is seen to be more advanced than the lunar calendar (symbolized by the lunar crescent common to Islam) where the seasons drift from calendar year to calendar year. The luni-solar solution for correcting season drift was to intercalate an extra month in certain years to restore the lunar cycle to the solar-season cycle. The Star of David is thought to originate as a symbol of that calendar system, where the two overlapping triangles are seen to form a partition of 12 sections around the perimeter with a 13th section in the middle, representing the 12 and sometimes 13 months to a year. As such, the Christian cross, Jewish hexagram star and the Muslim crescent moon are seen to have their origins in different views regarding which calendar system is preferred for marking holy days. Groups in higher latitudes experience the seasons more strongly, offering more advantage to the calendar represented by the swastika/cross.

Carl Sagan in his book Comet (1985) reproduces Han period Chinese manuscript (the Book of Silk, 2nd century BC) that shows comet tail varieties: most are variations on simple comet tails, but the last shows the comet nucleus with four bent arms extending from it, recalling a swastika. Sagan suggests that in antiquity a comet could have approached so close to Earth that the jets of gas streaming from it, bent by the comet's rotation, became visible, leading to the adoption of the swastika as a symbol across the world.[9] Bob Kobres in Comets and the Bronze Age Collapse (1992) contends that the swastika like comet on the Han Dynasty silk comet atlas was labeled a "long tailed pheasant star" (Di-Xing) because of its resemblance to a bird's foot or track. Kobres goes on to suggest an association of mythological birds and comets also outside China.
In Life's Other Secret (1999), Ian Stewart suggests the ubiquitous swastika pattern arises when parallel waves of neural activity sweep across the visual cortex during states of altered consciousness, producing a swirling swastika-like image, due to the way quadrants in the field of vision are mapped to opposite areas in the brain.[10]
Alexander Cunningham suggested that the Buddhist use of the shape arose from a combination of Brahmi characters abbreviating the words su astí.[3]

The earliest swastika known has been found from Mezine, Ukraine. It is carved on late paleolithic figurine of mammoth ivory, being dated as early as about 10,000 BC. It has been suggested this swastika is a stylized picture of a stork in flight.[11]
In India, Bronze Age swastika symbols were found at Lothal and Harappa, on Indus Valley seals.[12] In England, neolithic or Bronze Age stone carvings of the symbol have been found on Ilkley Moor.
Swastikas have also been found on pottery in archaeological digs in Africa, in the area of Kush and on pottery at the Jebel Barkal temples,[13] in Iron Age designs of the northern Caucasus (Koban culture), and in Neolithic China in the Majiabang,[14] Dawenkou and Xiaoheyan cultures.[15] Other Iron Age attestations of the swastika can be associated with Indo-European cultures such as the Indo-Iranians, Celts, Greeks and Germanic peoples and Slavs.
The swastika is also seen in Egypt during the Coptic period. Textile number T.231-1923 held at the V&A Museum in London includes small swastikas in its design. This piece was found at Qau-el-Kebir, near Asyut, and is dated between AD300-600.
The Tierwirbel (the German for "animal whorl" or "whirl of animals"[16]) is a characteristic motive in Bronze Age Central Asia, the Eurasian Steppe, and later also in Iron Age Scythian and European (Baltic[17] and Germanic) culture, showing rotational symmetric arrangement of an animal motive, often four birds' heads. Even wider diffusion of this "Asiatic" theme has been proposed, to the Pacific and even North America (especially Moundville).[18

La Luna en su giro alrededor de la Tierra presenta diferentes aspectos visuales según sea su posición con respecto al Sol.Cuando la Luna está entre la Tierra y el Sol, tiene orientada hacia la Tierra su cara no iluminada (Novilunio). Una semana más tarde la Luna ha dado 1/4 de vuelta y presenta media cara iluminada (Cuarto Creciente). Otra semana más y la Luna ocupa una posición alineada con el Sol y la Tierra, por lo cual desde la Tierra se aprecia toda la cara iluminada (Plenilunio o Luna llena). Una semana más tarde se produce el cuarto menguante. Transcurridas unas cuatro semanas estamos otra vez en Novilunio. La zona que limita la luz y la sombra se denomina terminador. La imagen de la Luna tal como se ilustra en la mayoría de los textos publicados está "al revés" de la realidad cuando está alta en el cielo, cerca de cruzar el meridiano, como la ven observadores en el hemisferio sur.
Una fórmula mnemotécnica útil en el sur: la Luna Creciente tiene forma de "C", y la "Decreciente" (menguante) tiene forma de "D".
La Luna creciente o menguante cerca del horizonte aparenta una "U", en el hemisferio sur así como en el norte.
Nótese cómo el crater Tycho con sus visibles radiales aparenta estar "arriba" para un observador del hemisferio sur. En imágenes publicadas generalmente se ilustra "abajo".

- Luna No. 1: Luna Nueva o Novilunio, también llamada "Luna Nueva Astronómica" o "Luna Negra", corresponde a la Luna Nueva Verdadera; esta fase de la Luna normalmente es imposible verla a simple vista ya que se encuentra oculta tras el resplandor solar, sólo es posible observarla cuando ocurre un eclipse total de Sol, los cuales acontecen durante esta fase lunar sólo cuando las condiciones dadas son las adecuadas.
- Luna No. 2: Luna Nueva Visible, también llamada en el argot popular "Luna Creciente", corresponde a la Luna Nueva Tradicional y es la primera aparición de la Luna en el cielo, 18 o 30 horas después de haberse producido la posición de "Luna Nueva Astronómica". Esta fase de la Luna se podrá ver en el cielo hacia el oeste, una vez ya ocultado el Sol, justo por encima del crepúsculo aún restante. Tiene forma de pequeña guadaña o cuerno. Esta fase de la Luna es la que se utiliza para dar comienzo al primer día de cada mes lunar.
- Luna No. 3: Cuarto Creciente. Tiene su orto (salida del astro en el horizonte) por el este a las 12 del mediodía (hora astronómica local, no necesariamente hora oficial), su cenit se produce a las 6 de la tarde y su ocaso a las 12 de la medianoche. La parte luminosa de la Luna durante esta fase tiene la forma de un círculo partido justo a la mitad (semi-círculo).
- Luna No. 4: Luna Gibosa Creciente, una vez ya pasada la fase del Cuarto Creciente, la Luna va tomando progresivamente día tras día, una forma convexa por ambos lados en su parte luminosa, perdiendo ese lado recto que poseía durante la fase anterior (Luna No. 3).
- Luna No. 5: Luna Llena o Plenilunio, es cuando la concavidad de la parte luminosa de la Luna se logra completar en su totalidad hasta formar un círculo. Su orto es aproximadamente a las 6:00 p.m., el cenit lo alcanza aproximadamente durante la medianoche y se oculta cerca de las 6:00 de la mañana. La Luna Llena viene a marcar justo lo que es la mitad del mes lunar (14 días, 18 horas, 21 minutos 36 segundos).
- Luna No. 6: Luna Gibosa Menguante, pasada ya la fase correspondiente a la Luna Llena, la parte luminosa de la Luna comenzará a menguar con el correr de los días, tomando así de nuevo —igual como en la Luna No. 4— una apariencia de una Luna-Cóncava (gibosa) esta vez en su fase decreciente.
- Luna No. 7: Cuarto Menguante, exactamente igual que el Cuarto Creciente, pero en sentido contrario. Además, tiene su orto a las 12 de la medianoche, alcanza el cenit en el cielo a las 6 de la mañana y su ocaso se produce a las 12 del mediodía, es decir, esta fase lunar corresponde al periodo de días durante el cual es posible observar a la Luna en el cielo durante las horas de la mañana.
- Luna No. 8: Luna Menguante, conocida también como "Creciente Menguante" o "Luna Vieja" (este último término poco conocido) ya que es idéntica a la Luna Nueva Visible, pero en sentido opuesto. La Luna Menguante sólo es posible verla de madrugada, hacia el Este, justo por encima de la Aurora o Alba y antes de que salga el Sol. Tiene apariencia de pequeña guadaña.
- Luna No. 9: Luna Negra, corresponde a la última fase visible de la Luna desde la Tierra, comenzando así, de nuevo, otro ciclo de fases lunares.
El tiempo transcurrido entre dos novilunios se llama "Mes Lunar" o Mes Sinódico y es de 29,53 días solares medios, lo que es lo mismo decir: 29 días, 12 horas, 43 minutos y 12 segundos. Las fases de la Luna tienen mucha relación con el establecimiento del calendario y sus diferentes periodos como semana y mes. Las fases lunares constituyen la base del calendario musulmán y judío, entre otros.

Los diferentes planetas también tienen sus fases. Galileo fue el primero en descubrir que Venus presentaba fases como la Luna, argumento que apoyaba la Teoría heliocéntrica. Los planetas en órbitas interiores a la terrestre (Mercurio y Venus) pueden presentar fases elevadas. Una curiosidad entre el ciclo solar anual y el ciclo lunar, es que éstos vuelven a repetirse, el mismo día del año y la misma fase lunar, cada 21 años. Debido a las diferentes condiciones geométricas de posición relativa entre el Sol, la Tierra y los planetas en órbitas exteriores, éstos no poseen fases apreciables observados desde la Tierra.
Los planetas cuyas órbitas se encuentran dentro de nuestros hogares (Mercurio y Venus) también presentan fases cuando son observados desde nuestro planeta. De hecho, también la Tierra muestra esta fenomenología a un observador exterior. Éste fue el caso de las imágenes tomadas por la Mars Global Surveyor en el año 2003, donde se ve la Tierra y la Luna en quintos.

In Greco-Roman mythology, Arachne ( /əˈrækniː/) was a great mortal weaver who boasted that her skill was greater than that of Athena, goddess of wisdom and strategy. Arachne refused to acknowledge that her knowledge came, in part at least, from the goddess. Offended by Arachne's arrogance, Athena set a contest between the two weavers. According to Ovid,[1] the goddess was so envious of the magnificent tapestry and the mortal weaver's success, and perhaps offended by the girl's choice of subjects (the loves and transgressions of the gods), that she destroyed the tapestry and loom and slashed the girl's face. “Not even Pallas nor blue-fevered Envy Could damn Arachne's work. The brown haired goddess Raged at the girl's success, struck through her loom, Tore down the scenes of wayward joys in heaven.″[2] Ultimately, the goddess turned Arachne into a spider. A Puerto Rican version even exists, with three Holy Souls in Purgatory replacing the fairies, a merchant for the king, and the heroine is an orphan abused by an aunt. The Seven Little Pork Rinds The girl in this story ate seven pieces of bacon before the meal, so that none was left for her mother; when the mother beat her for her gluttony, a merchant rather than a king asked, and the woman claimed her daughter was ruining her health by working too hard. When the merchant went on a journey, leaving spinning for his wife, she eventually tried to spin, and flicked passers-by with water; this hit some fairies, who were so amused that they do the spinning for her. They do not help her with her husband's expectations; she feigns that the spinning has made her ill, convincing him that her mother was right about her overworking. I noticed a crop circle with a similar pattern its the Metatron Cube and the Hebrew Star of David 
The Metatron's Cube part of this crop circle design has 18 cubes or 19 were the central one shown. the ratio 18:19 is that between the synodic periods of Saturn and Jupiter measured in units of three weeks or 21 days. This was not noted in Sacred Number because, by chapter 10, Metatron was one of the last elements tying up the root-three geometrical theme and the book was concluding with the City of New Jerusalem cube measuring 12,000 (feet) on each side.
An alternative view is the New Jerusalem pattern of John Michel, based upon canonical measures that divide by twelve around the perimeter, a perimeter that is then "squared" rather than a cube. Thus this crop circle strangely portrays two views of New Jerusalem, the canonical and the Metatronic. Were this the case then the precedent is that of a duality, a light and dark side, an outer and inner face of the same phenomenon. Rene Guenon especially remarks upon this in this book Lord of the World chapter 3 called Shekinah and Metatron in which he says
Although Mikaël is identified with Metatron, he represents only one aspect. Beside the luminous face, there is a dark face represented by Samaël, also known as Sarhaolam— in fact, it is this latter aspect, and it only, which symbolizes in a lower sense the 'spirit of the world', or the Princeps hujus mundi referred to in the Gospels. Samaël's relationship with Metatron, as the latter's shadow, so to say, justifies the use of the same title in a twofold sense as well as making it clear why the 'number of the beast', the apocalytic 666, is also a solar number.' To quote Saint Hippolytus in conclusion: 'The Messiah and the Anti-Christ both have the lion for their emblem', another solar symbol. The same remarks may be applied to the serpent and to many other symbols. From a Kabbalistic viewpoint, we have here the two opposite faces of Metatron; we need not go into the theories we might formulate on this double meaning of symbols, only noting that the confusion between the luminous and the dark aspects is what properly constitutes 'Satanism'. It is precisely this confusion that allows some, unintentionally and through simple ignorance (an excuse, not a justification), to believe that an infernal significance is to be found in the title 'Lord of the World'.

Interestingly, the number 666 is also of astronomical significance. many years ago I looked at the motion of the Moon's orbit (apogee) viz the nodes of that orbit. I will make another entry on this but the two meet every six
years and hence in 6 + 6 + 6 years = 18 years, the conditions are the same regarding the distance of the Moon and its nodes that generate eclipses. It so happens that this almost exactly matches the Saros period of 18.03 years which is why that period is the most reliable rule: "if there was an eclipse at such a moment, then 18 years hence, a similar one will almost certainly occur". The Saros is 19 eclipse years long (18:19 again) and there are 223 lunar months also in the same period.
In this way the design of the planetary environment seen from Earth contains key numbers that are quite small and are very significantly "chosen" to operate together. As I point out in Matrix of Creation, these numbers are a unique configuration within the field of number itself and form a "master class" in the behaviour of number itself, a theme that continues in Sacred Number. This led to the tradition of the Demiurge or craftsman god, called Smith.

Compass wood inlay with a symbolic number of Greek frets. "The octogonal Knight Templar hypercube star surrounded by the 69 bismuth Greek key, the Masonic G true meaning. G of God, Geometry, Gnosis...."  "G" is for "Galactic".

It is called the star of Isis If you want to know something cool Davinho aboutyour wife's sighting of the two lights when you were up there you touching the stone has some interesting coincidence Look at the Star card in TArot  it is the number seventeen  This is a significant star that goes way back to Sumerian times It is the Earth Cross (cross of the Zodiac) and the Galactic Cross(intersection of the Galactic Equator with the ecliptic and its perpendicular axis) When the rotating Earth Cross is superimposed over the fixated Galactic Cross an 8 pointed cross is formed. The two crosses become conjunct at four moments during a precession cycle when they overlap to form one four pointed cross. Thanks Nic I had never seen it before Thanks so much for explaining what was going on there Here is from Andrews article  From Andrews article Standing with my back to the Tour Magdela, facing the Grotto, I read my compass. What little colour I had left quickly dissipated. It read 22 degrees (south of west). What were the odds? The Tower of the Magdalene (Tour Magdela) is reached by two sets of 11 steps (22). An anomalous floor tile points up a spiral stair case with 22 steps where a single window points unambiguously at a grotto whose ancient place name is 'Grotte du Fournet - dite de la Magdeleine', which translates as 'The Burial Site of the Mary Magdalene', and which is offset from the window by 22 degrees. 22, of course, is the feast day of Mary Magdalene. Mr. Egypt confirmed my compass reading, and agreed with my theory that Abbe Sauniere had simply commemorated his discovery by encoding the number 22 in his restorations, namely the Tour Magdela. http://andrewgough.co.uk/fear.html
