Why does TikTok reduce video quality when saving? - DESENMASCARANDO LAS FALSAS DOCTRINAS

I’ve noticed that sometimes the quality of saved TikTok videos is worse than when viewed in the app. Why does TikTok reduce video resolution when you save or download a video? Is this intentional compression or related to account settings?
