Desde el principio del Tiempo, los seres humanos, desde más primitivo al más sofisticado culturalmente, han seguido y han grabado los ritmos naturales y ciclos de la Tierra.
El baile intrincado entre la Tierra y los otros cuerpos celestes ha sido siempre fuente de maravilla y asombro, dando lugar a innumerables historias y mitos por el mundo. Muchos de estos cuentos todavía son contados hoy.
Las personas antiguas de la Tierra se preocupaban por estos ritmos naturales y ciclos, porque sus vidas y su sustento dependían de ellos. En ciertos tiempos del año, la comida año era abundante en ciertas regiones y no lo era en otras. En ciertos momentos vendrían las lluvias, en otros, podrían esperar calor y sequedad. Ellos también observaron que la fertilidad estaba, de alguna manera, vinculada con los ciclos de la Luna.
De acuerdo con estos variados ciclos de la Naturaleza, las personas empezaron a reconocer un Cosmos de complejidad creciente - modelos repetitivos y ciclos envueltos dentro de ciclos aun más grandes de orden. Los movimientos cíclicos del Sol, la Luna, los Planetas y las Estrellas indicaron un Orden Natural a la Realidad, que les proporcionó a nuestros antepasados el significado y la certeza de la continuidad.
El cielo y la Naturaleza tocaron cada aspecto de sus vidas. No es sólo que sus observaciones astronómicas indicaban cuándo plantar sus cosechas y cuándo segar la mies, sino también dónde localizar sus templos, cómo diseñar sus casas e incluso cómo orientar sus ciudades. Estas personas ocuparon un Universo inteligente y viviente que gobernaba sus vidas. La supervivencia y el éxito, entonces, dependía de cuan bien uno podría leer las señales celestiales.
Como breve revisión de lo más básico de estos ciclos naturales, nosotros empezaremos con la rotación de la Tierra en su eje. Porque la Tierra rota una revolución completa cada 24 horas, nosotros observamos los períodos recurrentes del día y la noche.
Lamentablemente, hay números sorprendentemente grandes de personas hoy que todavía no entienden que este ciclo diario es causado por el movimiento de la Tierra, y no por algo el Sol está haciendo. Esto podría explicarse un poco por el hecho que nuestras costumbres lingüísticas están siglos detrás de nuestra comprensión científica, y continuamos hablando en términos de la salida del sol y sus ocasos.
Sea como sea, el próximo ciclo que veremos no está basado en el movimiento de la Tierra, sino de la Luna. La Luna rota alrededor de la Tierra cada 29.5 días, dándonos el concepto del mes, al aparecer en sus diferentes fases, desde la Luna Nueva a la Luna Llena, y una vez, de regreso a Luna Nueva.
Luego está el ciclo observable del año, cuando la Tierra baila alrededor del Sol en una órbita elíptica, tomándole 365.25 días para completar una revolución.
Cuando las personas continuaron observando los cuerpos celestes, comenzaron también a notar que algunas de las luces luminosas en el cielo se movían mientras otras se quedaban relativamente estacionarias. Estos cuerpos errantes que hemos venido a conocer como los planetas, y varias personas alrededor del mundo mostraron un interés especial en sus ciclos y movimientos particulares, tejiendo un gran número de historias, mitos y leyendas.
Esos astrónomos tempranos que guardaron archivos del movimiento del Sol, Luna y Planetas, uno de los más grandes misterios que ellos observaron fue el hecho de que todos los años, ellos esperarían que el Sol apareciera en el Equinoccio de la Primavera o en el Solsticio del Invierno en un lugar específico en el horizonte, señalizando el Nuevo Año.

Los astrónomos han logrado deducir ahora que la Tierra no es una esfera perfecta. Realmente es un poco chata en los polos, y tiene una protuberancia en el ecuador. Como resultado, los tirones gravitatorios de la Luna y el Sol ejercen una influencia desigual en la Tierra. Sus fuerzas gravitatorias intentan tirar la protuberancia ecuatorial hacia ellos.
Porque la Tierra está girando, estas fuerzas hacen que se tabalee el eje del de la Tierra, cambiando siempre muy despacio. Gradualmente el eje polar que una vez estuvo alineado con una estrella en particular, empieza a cambiar hasta alinearse con otra estrella.
Ahora mismo, el eje de la Tierra al Polo Norte apunta a la estrella Polaris – la cual nosotros apropiadamente llamamos la Estrella Polar. Pero hace 5,000 años, el polo norte celestial se alineaba a la estrella llamada Alfa Draconis.
Ocho mil años en el futuro la estrella del polo será Vega.
Este movimiento Precesional es, entonces, el mismo movimiento responsable para el cambio de ubicación de los Equinoccios y los Solsticios.
Los antiguos astrónomos descubrieron el movimiento Precesional de término largo del Sol a través del fondo de las constelaciones y se calcula la longitud de este Ciclo a alrededor de 25,600 a 26,000 años.
Esto significa que el Sol que marca el Equinoccio de Primavera, que ahora aparece adelante del fondo de estrellas en la constelación de Piscis, en aproximadamente 500 años subirá a la constelación de Acuario. Continuará cambiando al revés a través de las varias constelaciones de Capricornio, Sagitario, etc., hasta que en aproximadamente 26,000 años llegará de regreso al mismo punto exacto en Piscis.
La comprensión de esta Precesión del Equinoccio, entonces, dio lugar a muchos mitos y leyendas de las diferentes Edades Mundiales. Cuando el movimiento Precesional continuó cambiando el Equinoccio a una nueva constelación, las diferentes culturas percibieron esto como una Nueva Edad o Nuevo Mundo. Como el Sol de Equinoccio de Primavera aparecía surgir en la constelación de Tauro, las personas percibieron esto como la Edad del Toro; la Edad del Carnero cuando subió a la constelación de Aries; la Edad del Pez al subir en Piscis, y así sucesivamente.
En un tiempo, muchas civilizaciones en la Tierra eran conscientes de este ciclo natural de la Tierra y lo incorporaron en sus cosmologías y conceptos del Tiempo de varias maneras.
Cada uno reflejando una interpretación y significado ligeramente diferente, pero de diferentes maneras diferentes, todos sostuvieron el Ciclo Precesional como involucrando nada menos que el proceso Cósmico de la evolución de la Vida, influyendo sutilmente en todas las Formas de Vida de la Tierra a moverse a niveles más altos de organización y complejidad. Vino a simbolizar el Proceso Espiritual de Desplegar la Conciencia en nuestro planeta.
Lo que es importante aquí es que esta creencia estaba realmente basada en un notable ciclo astronómico: cada 72 años, el Solsticio y el Equinoccio del Sol parecían moverse un grado hacia atrás, a través de las constelaciones - como la mano de un reloj, indicando las horas del día.
Sin embargo, en este Reloj Cósmico la mano, o marcador, en el movimiento es la ubicación específica del Equinoccio o Salida del sol del Solsticio, mientras la cara del reloj es representada por las constelaciones relativamente estacionarias de las estrellas.
Con esto en perspectiva, entonces, nosotros volveremos nuestra atención ahora a cómo este Ciclo Precessional fue incorporado en la Cosmología maya y cómo se relaciona a su calendario de la cuenta larga, y específicamente al año 2012.
Quizás más que cualquier antigua cultura de la que estamos conscientes a estas alturas, los Mayas estaban obsesionados con la Astronomía. No sólo eran capaces de proyectar sus cálculos astronómicos miles de años adelante y atrás en el Tiempo, sino que desarrollaron un calendario reciclable de Venus que era exacto a un día en 500 años, y una mesa de eclipses que todavía funciona hoy.
Ellos también calcularon exactamente el año solar hasta con cuatro cifras decimales. Para lograr estos impresionantes cómputos, ellos crearon un sistema sofisticado de matemáticas que utiliza el valor del lugar y el concepto del cero. Y todos esto mientras Europa todavía estaba vagabundeando en las Edades Oscuras.
En una cultura compleja como la maya, y considerando el lapso de un período de casi mil años, es importante recordar que eso levantó diferentes sistemas de creencia en tiempos diferentes, algunos de los cuales coexistían en el mismo lugar. Justo como si tomáramos la demografía de, digamos, la moderna ciudad de Nueva York, nosotros encontraríamos a judíos viviendo allí, además de Musulmanes, protestantes y católicos – todos, muy entretenidos en diferentes sistemas de creencia.
Y así, es apropiado aquí limitar nuestras consideraciones de la cultura maya a sólo esas creencias que prestan significado e importancia a la auspiciosa fecha indicada en su calendario de cuenta larga - Dec. 21, 2012.
Al enfocarnos en esta fecha, encontramos que uno de los indicadores a su probable importancia es que específicamente designa el Solsticio de Invierno. Como este es nuestro punto de partida en nuestro análisis, echemos una mirada más cercana acerca de lo que esto podría significar.
En primer lugar, es bueno ser consciente que alrededor del mundo en varias culturas del pasado, cada uno designó un tiempo específico para marcar el principio de su Nuevo Año.

Entonces, en el contexto de esta tradición el Solsticio de Invierno el 21 de diciembre era celebrado como el cumpleaños del Sol.
Es la noche más larga del año y por consiguiente, el día más corto del año. Representó el último poder de las fuerzas oscuras de la Naturaleza: la larga noche invernal, cuando las cosas parecían estar muertas y quietas. Y fuera de las profundidades de esta noche más larga, nació el nuevo Sol. Desde este punto en, el poder de la luz crece despacio en fuerza y los días empiezan poco a poco a hacerse más largos.
El Solsticio de Invierno, entonces, inauguró el nacimiento de un nuevo año solar. El Sol parecía regresar de su viaje anual al Sur y empieza su lento retorno a las Latitudes del Norte. La salida del sol, el 21 de diciembre, se creía que era como la primera salida del sol, y el comienzo del Nuevo Año era, de hecho, una celebración del principio del Tiempo.
Con este contexto particular en la mente, estamos ahora preparados para examinar más estrechamente las razones por qué el Solsticio de Invierno en el año 2012 es tan importante. En el calendario maya de la cuenta larga, un ciclo de 5,200 años finaliza en esta fecha, y también apunta a una rara alineación astronómica.
De hecho, esta alineación sólo pasa una vez cada 26,000 años.
El auspicioso año de 2012 indicado en el calendario de la cuenta larga, ilumina el hecho que el movimiento Precesional del Sol del Solsticio de Invierno gradualmente llevará su posición a alinearse con el mismo centro de nuestra Galaxia.
Para los mayas, esto es como el último golpe de Medianoche en Nochevieja, sólo que en el 2012 el Nuevo Año es el Nuevo Año Galáctico de 26,000 años solares.
El Reloj Galáctico estará en el punto cero y comenzará un Nuevo Ciclo Precesional.
A estas alturas usted puede estar preguntándose que es lo que es tan importante sobre la vía láctea y por qué los maya incluso estaban tan interesados en ello.
Nuestra cultura científica ha venido finalmente a comprender que nuestro planeta, el Sol, y el sistema solar entero tuvieron sus orígenes en el centro de la Galaxia de la Vía Láctea. Nosotros también hemos encontrado recientemente que nuestra Galaxia es de 70,000 años de luz de diámetro, con la mayoría de sus 400 mil millones estrellas concentrados en la gran protuberancia central.
Equipado con instrumentos ultravioleta, radiografías y rayos gamma, mas telescopios infrarrojos, la mayoría de los astrónomos están ahora convencidos que en el centro de nuestra Galaxia hay un masivo agujero negro de un tamaño inimaginable de millones de veces más grande que nuestro sol. Esto es donde la Ciencia y la Mitología verdaderamente se encuentran. Para lo que el centro de nuestra Galaxia pueda representar en términos de energía y propiedades tiempo/espacio, nadie tiene una pista.
Pero para los antiguos mayas, la Galaxia de la Vía Láctea representó a la Gran Madre Cósmica de donde nació toda Vida. Ellos vieron a nuestra Madre Galáctica estirándose a través del cielo nocturno y de alguna manera reconocer el lugar desde donde todos nosotros habíamos venido. Y a la gran protuberancia central a Su centro, ellos la percibieron como el Útero Cósmico.
Dentro de la protuberancia central está lo que parece un corredor oscuro, conocido como la grieta oscura (dark rift). Los mayas se referían a esto con muchos nombres, pero el más pertinente aquí es su referencia a esta área como el “paso del nacimiento”.
¿Estaremos empezando a conseguir aquí un cuadro de esto?
Considerando entonces la importancia de la fecha 2012 en el calendario maya, se ha descubierto que ese año específicamente apunta a un periodo de tiempo cuando el Sol del Solsticio de diciembre se alinea con y surge fuera del telón de la grieta oscura, el "Canal Galáctico de Nacimiento” en la protuberancia central.
Es como si el Sol realmente estuviera naciendo nuevamente del Útero Galáctico.
La Cosmología maya no fue escrita en un libro, sino en las mismas estrellas sobre sus cabezas.
El significado de esta historia no fue revelado a través del estudio de oscuras interpretaciones, sino que a través de correspondencia de asociaciones asignada a las partes individuales en la historia.
Todos lo que necesitamos hacer es reconocer esas asociaciones originales y la historia se despliega sola. Así como en nuestra cultura, nosotros hemos construido asociaciones entre el Solsticio de Invierno, el Nuevo Año y el nacimiento de Jesús Cristo, “ el Hijo de Dios" quien entró en este mundo como "un salvador de la humanidad ".
Con los mayas hemos descubierto otra historia asociada con el Solsticio de Invierno, el Nuevo Año y el destino de las personas en la Tierra. La alineación astronómica del Ciclo Precesional del Solsticio de Invierno y el Centro Galáctico representa el "Punto Cero" en el Reloj Cósmico, marcando así el principio de la Nueva Era en nuestra jornada evolutiva en la conciencia. Nos dice que nace un Nuevo Sol, que un Nuevo Año ha amanecido, que un Nuevo Ciclo Galáctico ha empezado, y la transformación de nuestro Mundo está en camino.
El gran secreto en esta historia particular es que nosotros no necesitamos esperar el Solsticio de Invierno del año 2012 para reconocer que estamos entrando en este tiempo de profunda transición. Ya que según los más recientes cálculos astronómicos, el Solsticio Meridiano realmente es el que más precisamente coincide con el Ecuador Galáctico entre 1998 y 1999.
Así como el ecuador de la Tierra divide el planeta en dos hemisferios de Norte y Sur, el Ecuador Galáctico es el término astronómico para la línea divisoria de la Vía Láctea, separando la Galaxia en dos mitades. Similar al tiempo del Equinoccio, cuando el Sol parece cruzar el Ecuador de la Tierra y entra así en un nuevo hemisferio, así también en 1998 el Sol del Solsticio de Invierno comenzó a atravesar el Ecuador Galáctico.
Considerando que el Sol es tan grande (aproximadamente uno y medio grados de ancho) y el movimiento es tan lento, nuestro Sol no estará completamente por el Ecuador y totalmente en el nuevo Hemisferio Galáctico hasta el año 2018.
Así que nosotros necesitamos entender entonces que la fecha maya de 2012 simplemente es un indicador a este periodo del 20 años de transición – el proceso de nacimiento de la Nueva Era (o Edad), y el punto del principio del Nuevo Ciclo Precesional de 26,000 años.
Yo lo encuentro casi la altura de ironía que los descendientes de esos blancos europeos que vinieron al "Nuevo Mundo" para llevar iluminación y salvación a la población indígena, ahora encontrarían enterrado aquí, en alguna selva remota, un calendario/reloj de piedra marcándoles el Tiempo/hora que es.
Un calendario o reloj no muy extraño a su propio fondo cultural, pero uno que realmente incorpora y cumple su más expansiva visión del Tiempo cíclico, el Ciclo Precesional.
Este "Gran Año" era conocido hace mucho tiempo por los sumerios, babilónicos, egipcios y los antiguos griegos, pero carecía del punto en el que empezaba o acababa. De algún modo, a través de las Edades, el conocimiento había estado perdido.
Quizás el regalo más grande que la cultura maya ha dado a nuestro mundo es el Punto Cero al Ciclo Precessional de 26,000 años. A través de la fecha 2012 en su calendario, ellos indicaron la importancia del Ecuador Galáctico y su relevancia al Ciclo Precesional, dándonos así la habilidad de apuntar ahora con precisión el Tiempo exacto en nuestro Reloj Galáctico.
Sobre el lapso de los 20 años de periodo de transición cuando el Sol del Solsticio cruza el Ecuador Galáctico y se mueve hacia un nuevo hemisferio, nosotros daremos testimonio, de hecho, la caída de las viejas estructuras viejas y el nacimiento de nuevas. Para aquéllos que tienen ojos para ver, nosotros realmente estamos siendo testigos del nacimiento de una civilización planetaria.
Y las mismas logísticas involucradas en este proceso determinarán que los viejos valores de los Estados Nación, que estaban principalmente basadas en la competencia y la explotación, tendrán que dar paso, en el futuro, a un esfuerzo de colaboración, dónde la cooperación será el valor social dominante.
Esto surgirá, no de alguna teoría política, social o económica, sino del el mismo deseo de las especies humanas de continuar sobreviviendo y tener el éxito.

Juxtaposed with British Columbia and 2010...
...together evoking the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, B.C. which commenced on February 12th, right at one of the phi/golden ratio (1:1.618) points anchored by dates involving the 2012 London Olympics and the 'end' of the Mayan calendar in 2012.
Similarly it was during another Mayan phi window early March 2010 that the movie 2012 was released on DVD/Blu-ray.
2012 is filled with 'Titanic' allusions expressing 'Great Flood' or Katrina/New Orleans...
...as a way of highlighting, yet again, April 15, for that is the date of the Titanic sinking (1912)! Reinforced by the Mona Lisa showing up to highlight Leonardo da Vinci (who painted the masterpiece) born on April 15!
These remarkable 'coincidences' were publicly highlighted many weeks before April 15 - so what you're reading here is no hindsight-driven babble. Pattern fulfillment implies reality, which is what I try to demonstrate.
'Let the Games Begin'
'Mayan Contact/Impact' is the name of the game. Maya is now part of Mexico and 'Mexico' as derived from metztli-xictli-co means 'place at the center of the moon'. Hence:
'Mayan Impact' = 'Moon Impact'
Explains the suspiciously geometrically-minded timing of NASA's much-hyped LCROSS Moon Impact October 9th last year perfectly aligned via a pentagram with the '2012' DVD release, and diametrically with the 2009 Italian quake near Rome!

Not missing a beat, we find 2012 reenacting Princess Diana's fatal car crash i.e. 'moon impact'!
The original crash happened on August 31, 1997 with the Sun positioned right at the crossing point of the analemma... the same spot occupied by the Sun every year around April 15!
 
Knowing (2009) is another recent Mayan-ish mega-disaster film in which Princess Diana's car crash is reenacted. (One of the main characters named 'Diana' dies in a car crash.)
Like in 2012, the Sun brings about the end of the world.
Only a chosen few are saved by the whispering aliens who transplanted them on another planet... The beginning of the 'Fifth/Sixth Sun' a la the Mayan calendar...
As it was in the time of Noah, some can hear Enki's whispers through the wall. Or in the mirror...
In Knowing the world ends on October 19, 2009. The date, reflected in the orbital mirror (earth diametric), becomes precisely... April 15!
It wasn't just the Icelandic volcano (April 15~). The oil rig disaster (April 20~) representing another 'Moon Impact' (Gulf of Mexico = 'Gulf of the Moon') was specifically 'prophesied' in Knowing:

Fingerprints of a higher intelligence? Why not. It's all multicontetxual. As far as I'm concerned this is Contact unfolding before our eyes (yet unrecognized by most). Whispers coming from outside the wall of linear time. Angels and demons battling it out as the clock counts down to zero.
Next up: Space shuttle Atlantis STS-132 - scheduled for its final launch tomorrow, May 14, a pentagonal date, with a piece of Newton's apple tree and the flag for the 2012 Olympics carried on board. It's scheduled to return on/around May 26. (Earth may shake.) The final mission...
  
I suggest you watch the shuttle/period very closely. It wasn't for no reason that a fictitious book titled 'Farewell Atlantis', a story involving the shuttle Atlantis getting into some serious trouble in space, was mentioned throughout the movie 2012.

Jun 17: A lot has happened... a lot is happening... and a lot will happen. Time to do a quick summary (and see what they portend)...
First, a quick background... from May 30 post:
 Atlantis landed on May 26 to highlight the start of what I previously called the 'Monolith-Lucifer Ignition Sequence' around May 26-27 [...] to be followed in the sequence, presumably around June 7-13, by what may well be the 'ignition' event(s) expressing 2010's Jupiter turning into a star i.e. a planet going nuclear which Arthur C. Clarke dubbed 'Lucifer'. [...] It's intensely Orange there with an 'Orange Alignment' [...] It's just very intense and as I said previously, 'it has 'Lucifer Contact' written all over it'.
So that's basically:
- Time window around June 7-13
- Lucifer, or Jupiter gone nuclear
- Contact
- Orange
It wasn't exactly clear how these motifs would be manifested in reality except that they would, in a major way. And they did. Unmistakably... starting with a Jupiter Impact:
...accompanied by a remarkable extraterrestrial 'Contact' situation coming from Saturn's moon Titan:
- Titan is orange, big time. Everywhere you look, it's orange there!
- This was another 'Titanic' signal/fulfillment interacting with the Icelandic volcano (airspace chaos starting on Titanic sinking anniversary April 15) and the Gulf oil leak (underwater 'volcano' caused by sinking of titanic 'ship', Deepwater Horizon).
- On the Underground (STRUG) side of my work, I predicted this improbable development back in February after watching the Super Bowl. (I know that sounds pretty strange when said like that without any explanation!) I was so confident about the pattern that I made this uncharacteristically assertive statement (in the context of '2010: The Year We Make Contact'):
Feb 8 'You heard it here first': "The first proof of [present] extraterrestrial life will come from Saturn's moon Titan."
This made the 'life on Titan' news particularly exciting for me as you can imagine.
- The first (and only) landing on Titan was done by ESA's Huygens probe hitching a ride on NASA's Cassini spacecraft back in 2005. One of the key patterns we've been tracking this year is the 2005-2010 echo effect (projected in 2009, specifically naming mega-quakes, 'Pope Shift', Deep Impact, etc.). It unfolded in rapid succession, now continuing with Titan...
...and Joran van der Sloot - the (suspected) murderer of Natalie Holloway, missing since 2005. And again, totally orange...
- Van der Sloot (murderer) = Dutch = orange (historically ruled by the House of Orange)
- Victim #1 (Holloway) killed in Aruba (= Dutch island, capital = Oranjestad/'Orange City')
- Killed/disappeared in 2005 (2005-2010 echo)

Reinforcing the 'Contact' theme was a 'UFO' event coming simultaneously with the Titan revelation - the mass sighting of a spiraling light over Australia.

This was another '(orange) smoking gun', for it was none other than the 'Norway Spiral' (a similar but much more dramatic spiral light sighted in Norway late last year) that I had noted was being highlighted by the Orange Alignment via an earth orbit mirror, which is now 'complete' as you can see:
The official explanation was that the anamolous light was remnants of the SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket launched from the United States. The hidden context here goes back to what I had been paying a lot of attention to since last year (contributing to my assessment of the significance of the Orange window), i.e. the return of the Japanese asteroid probe Hayabusa, meaning 'Falcon', on June 13 in Australia. The connections were obvious and telling:
- SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket successfully launches
- Spiral 'UFO' spotted over Australia - thought to be remnants of Falcon-9 rocket
- Japanese asteroid probe Hayabusa (= 'Falcon') returns home (Australia) - 'contact' with earth
 Hayabusa, presumably bringing back a piece of the asteroid, literally made contact with our earth. It was a 'Contact' event, reiterated by the Australian spiral light/'Falcon' incident. In this way 'Contact' morphed into an 'asteroid impact' storyline a la Armageddon (and Deep Impact) which is a film I already fingered, more or less declaring it the 'script' being followed by the Gulf oil leak disaster...

There is an important underlying meta-message here though that I want to briefly mention, which is that... the legend of the lost island of Atlantis is very much in play in all this in more ways than one.
On one level, what's happening with the oil disaster is a 'simulation' of the Atlantean catastrophe. The sinking of the BP 'island' Deepwater Horizon was Atlantis going down in a 'great flood' (see this in the context of all the major quakes, Haiti, Chile, etc. this year). And more disturbingly, the implication can't be easily avoided that Atlantis in a larger sense alludes to the United States (the 'New Atlantis') and that the disaster in the Gulf is signaling - if not directly causing - its 'end'. The countdown is on and the asteroid is on its way... which can be stopped only by detonating a nuke - according to the Armageddon 'script'.
As I mentioned before, that is exactly what some experts - most notably Matthew Simmons - are already suggesting, that the only solution to the oil leak is to nuke the well! It's already in the process of going mainstream and slowly gaining momentum. The longer it takes for BP and the government to stop or slow down the gushing oil/gas, the more mainstream attention the nuclear option will receive, with still remote but increasingly realistic prospects of the government actually implementing the 'final solution'... creating a subterranean 'second sun' aka 'Lucifer' (per 2010: The Year We Make Contact). That may save or, in a worst case scenario, finish off the United States/New Atlantis...
On another level, perhaps we are experiencing the 'birth pains' of Atlantis being resurrected. In what way exactly? Hard to say. But I wouldn't be surprised if the process involved perhaps as a subset of a larger pattern the actual discovery of ruins of the heretofore only theoretical Atlantean civilization... around the Caribbean, for instance. The Haiti 'Big One' back in January was a quite literal (repeat of) 'destruction of Atlantis' and I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone getting this inference. The Caribbean and Atlantis go hand in hand after all.
Moving forward, keeping Atlantis in mind should prove most useful in discerning multicontextual aspects of relevant coming world events.
Of course, Atlantis itself is a subset of a larger narrative that is... well, we'll go into that perhaps some other time.

In another surprise visit by Pope Francis early Saturday afternoon, Vatican sources confirmed that the Pontiff visited the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome and stopped to pray before the icon of the Virgin, Salus Populi Romani, on the eve of Palm Sunday and Holy Week.

NOTE: For those new here, please note that this strange thing that I do on this website is not the typical hindsight-driven dot connecting stuff that you may have seen out there. Here, much emphasis is placed on foresight. I regularly make predictions or multicontextual pattern projections to demonstrate that it is something very real - albeit 'impossible' according to the current paradigm - that I discuss and try to show again and again. So, for instance, even though I decided not to bring it up in the main text of the article purely for readabililty, both the April 2009 Italian earthquake and the January 2010 Haiti 'Big One' were, to a considerable degree, projected beforehand. (See here & here - the latter not including STRUG entries thus appearing less impressive than what was actually going on 'underground' projection-wise.) Even the latest Chile mega-quake was no surprise around here (especially on STRUG) - evidenced by the fact that I was able to quickly write up and post this article within 24 hours of the catastrophe. For many months, in fact, I kept highlighting the Vancouver Olympics (Feb 12-28) and its general timeframe, based on various patterns, in particular the following golden/phi-based timecode which had 'Big One' (mega-quake) written all over it.
Not surprisingly, there was to be further twists which I was able to closely follow, leading me to make a necessary adjustment just in time for (i.e. before) the early-January quakes including Haiti. (I haven't yet fully explained what caused me to make the adjustment but that it was a valid move is obviously not in question.) After Haiti, the status of the February 2010 window became uncertain - was it still radioactive or had it released all its energy in January? We now know the answer: Another small time shift, another 'Big One' (this time in Chile), coming the day before the closing ceremony of the 'V Olympics' instead of the opening ceremony. And it was decidedly pentagonal in nature. This is important because in addition to what's already been discussed the pentagram is nearly synonymous with (i.e. found encoded in its geometry) the golden ratio, i.e. '1 : 1.618', therefore linking back to the phi-based timecode above.

Was Donald Trump's inauguration crowd big or small? The (unimportant) question became a huge issue during the first week of Trump's presidency largely thanks to the White House's misguided insistence that the crowd was huge when it simply was not. Despite clear evidence to the contrary, there are still people - including Trump himself - clinging to "alternative facts", believing the mainstream media lied about the crowd size to undermine Trump. This is not normal.
There is no such thing as "alternative facts". When things are unclear, we need to use our intelligence, not wishful or paranoid thinking, to figure out and accept what the truth is.
Getting angry over an eagerly-accepted illusion that conforms to one's own preconceived worldview is dysfunctional behavior. Illusions help sustain delusions, as is literally the case here with the crowd size, as you will see.

The mainstream as well as alternative media needs to do a much better job of killing demonstrable falsehoods and eliminating ambiguities whenever possible, and stop assuming most people are intelligent enough to infer the truth when obvious. To be sure, there are good, well-thought out, well-researched conspiracy theories out there that do warrant attention. But this thing about the Trump inauguration crowd size is not one of them. We can help it die a quick and complete death that it deserves.
(P.S. The point of this article is not to imply the crowd size itself is an important issue, it is not. The point is to fully expose the illusion, thereby discrediting the dysfunctional mentality and propagandists driving such demonstrably false conspiracy theories.)

The Controversy
How big was Trump's inauguration crowd? Compared to Obama' 2009 inauguration, considerably smaller:
Trump and his supporters obsessed with optics did not like this at all. This had to be a conspiracy perpetrated by the "fake news" mainstream media in an effort to delegitimatize the new president.
Team Trump was so furious they sent out new Press Secretary Sean Spencer to angrily address the issue in his very first official briefing at the White House the very next day (Jan 21). The half-empty National Mall picture, they argued, did not match what they saw with their own eyes, and thus it had to be a media lie. Trump even personally called the director of National Park Service on the phone asking for more photographs so he could prove this blatant conspiracy against him.
Trump also went on to directly address the issue during his speech at the CIA headquarters that same day:
"But we had a massive field of people. You saw them. Packed. I get up this morning, I turn on one of the networks, and they show an empty field. I say, wait a minute, I made a speech. I looked out, the field was -- it looked like a million, million and a half people. They showed a field where there were practically nobody standing there. And they said, Donald Trump did not draw well." [...]
"But it went all the way back to the Washington Monument. And I turn on -- and by mistake I get this network, and it showed an empty field. And it said we drew 250,000 people. Now, that’s not bad, but it’s a lie. We had 250,000 people literally around -- you know, in the little bowl that we constructed. That was 250,000 people. The rest of the 20-block area, all the way back to the Washington Monument, was packed. So we caught them, and we caught them in a beauty. And I think they’re going to pay a big price."
Trump and his supporters always knew the mainstream media was dishonest and out to get Trump, and this was their big confirmation.
Additional evidence and fact checking subsequently done by the mainstream media failed to completely quell this conspiracy theory.
Alex Jones/Infowars for one continues to claim to this day it was all a media lie. This even after seeing the PBS time-lapse video of the Inauguration Day crowd, which Jones chooses to believe was edited to hide the peak size of the crowd.
Somebody needs to do a better job of killing this silly conspiracy theory and expose the real propagandists... So we will.
Vantage Point, Vantage Point, Vantage Point!
Doubters, including the White House, point to this picture (and similar ones) of the inauguration crowd in the National Mall viewed from the Capitol building:
The Mall does look filled with people for the most part. But appearance can be deceiving especially when dealing with such a large space. The distance to the Washington Monument from the cameraman is much larger than you might think: It's about whopping ~2.2 km or ~1.4 miles. (You can read about "lens compression" here.)
Depending on the vantage point, the same space can look vastly different. It's merely due to an optical illusion that the Mall looks like a sea of overflowing people. If the vantage point (cameraman) was a little higher above the ground, this is what you would have seen instead:
All the big empty spaces shown in the "controversial" photo from the top of the Washington Monument are now visible. The higher the vantage point, the more the Mall would look like the half-empty photo (shown below).
Photo Time
It doesn't matter, the doubters would say, because these photos were taken long before or after Trump took the oath of office and gave his inaugural speech, hence the small crowd at the time.
That is false.

Both photos were taken almost exactly at noon (within ~1 minute), at the peak of the inauguration ceremony when Trump was sworn in.
For this one:
We find the following very specific information in a USA Today article published on Jan 24:
“Only one news organization had a still photographer atop the Washington monument for the inauguration and I assigned him to be there,” Bourg wrote on Jan. 22. “This photo by Reuters News Pictures staff photographer Lucas Jackson was taken at 12:01:18 p.m. on Friday and not much earlier as many people are trying to claim.”

And for this one:
It's even more incontrovertible because it's a screenshot from ABC News' inauguration live coverage which showed the above scene moments before Trump's swearing in ceremony at noon. You can see the whole sequence there yourself in this Youtube video (it should start at video time 1:55:30). To a large degree, this is "smoking gun" evidence.
Well, maybe the place was packed at some point during the day, not at noon, and that's what this photograph (below) show?
No. This PBS time-lapse video shows that's definitely not the case. Besides, in the picture below with a similar vantage point (a bit closer to the Capitol) the Mall does appear similarly packed but we also know this was taken right around noon - i.e. when we know the Mall was not packed at all - because we can see Trump at the podium speaking to the crowd right after taking the oath of office. Illusion vs. reality. Trump was correct in saying that the Mall looked packed. Except it was only an optical illusion.
Simply put, there is absolutely no photographic or video evidence provided by anyone anywhere that shows the National Mall packed with people that's not from a camera with a low vantage point (including the CNN "Gizapixel" image). And it is now a proven fact that the National Mall did have big empty areas during Trump's swearing-in ceremony and speech at noon. End of story.

Geometric Analysis
Can a crowd this small...
...really appear this big, even if with an optical illusion?
Such a big visual difference it seems. But the answer is, YES, it absolutely can. This can be scientifically proven. All you need is Google Earth and trigonometry (in addition to the photographs). It's just a matter of working out the geometry involved in the low-angle Mall crowd photo above.
First and foremost, we have to know where the cameraman was. He was right there on the Capitol terrace right behind and above Trump:
It is difficult to find the cameraman's exact elevation as the Capitol building's detailed measurements are not available anywhere online (presumably censored by the government for security reasons). But we can still infer it using:
- Google Earth's "elevation" data (= height above sea level)
- The coincidence of the cameraman's terrace being the Capitol's ground level from the perspective of the building's east (back) side
The elevation of the terrace thus measured is ~88 ft or ~26.8 m:
Adding the cameraman's body height (we'll just use the average height of Americans which is 1.77 m), we get ~28.6 m as the approximate eye/camera elevation. (There is no need to be overly precise here as it won't make much of a difference for our purposes.)
Now we take a look at the National Mall and its crowd sections which we will label "A, B, C, D, E...":

Let's focus on section A and the crowd in it, and work out the geometry of the sight line from the Capitol camera. (Note: The ground elevations of the crowd sections will be noted in the diagrams, which you can use to check the calculations. You can also use Google Earth.)
The goal here is to see the extent of the "blind spot", i.e. the area behind the crowd (= height ~1.77 m) that's hidden from the Capitol cameraman. As you can see above, the blind spot does not cover the entire length of the gap between crowd sections A and B. This means part of this gap (green segment) should be visible in photos taken by the Capitol camera. And that is indeed the case:

This time the blind spot does cover the whole length of the gap between the two crowds (B & C). This means no visible gap should appear in the photo, and that is indeed the case:
Next, section C:
Again, and even more so, the blind spot completely covers the gap between the crowds (C & D). We don't see the gap in the photo:

The blind spot extends even further into the next crowd (E). Obviously no gap is visible from the perspective of the Capitol cameraman:
Section E is the last crowd in the Mall. The subsequent sections - F, G (& H) - are all empty. This is the huge white, empty area you see in this picture from the Washington Monument:
And yet, in the photo from the Capitol it becomes just a thin, barely noticeable white line:
 
Conclusion
So there you have it. There is no escaping it: Donald Trump's inauguration was half empty (in the National Mall), "period". That's not an opinion or wishful thinking or propaganda. It's irrefutable fact.
That fact in itself is not important. What's much more important is what this reveals about the people who promoted and/or eagerly believed the silly, blatantly false conspiracy theory. It's like believing in the Flat Earth theory (which inexplicably got popular last year). The lack of rational thinking demonstrated by this is worrisome.
It's more understandable with average people on the internet. But it's quite disturbing with the President of the United States and people like Alex Jones (Infowars) with a huge audience and influence. How much of it is willful lying and how much of it wishful thinking or self-deception? Of course, with Trump, we know who he is; he is who he is and does what he does. And people voted him into the White House knowing this. So it is what it is. But...
As made clear by the example of the inauguration crowd size, the level of intelligence exhibited by the likes of Alex Jones in their conspiracy theories is quite low. They are highly unreliable conspiracy theorists at best, an unofficial propaganda arm for the new establishment now in power at worst. Listen to them and trust them at your own peril. Things are different now, and they may have become the opposite of what they represented. Think twice before you drink the Kook-Aid in Jonestown. Remember: There is truth, and there is everything else. That's not political.

NOTE: For those new here, please note that this strange thing that I do on this website is not the typical hindsight-driven dot connecting stuff that you may have seen out there. Here, much emphasis is placed on foresight. I regularly make predictions or multicontextual pattern projections to demonstrate that it is something very real - albeit 'impossible' according to the current paradigm - that I discuss and try to show again and again. So, for instance, even though I decided not to bring it up in the main text of the article purely for readabililty, both the April 2009 Italian earthquake and the January 2010 Haiti 'Big One' were, to a considerable degree, projected beforehand. (See here & here - the latter not including STRUG entries thus appearing less impressive than what was actually going on 'underground' projection-wise.) Even the latest Chile mega-quake was no surprise around here (especially on STRUG) - evidenced by the fact that I was able to quickly write up and post this article within 24 hours of the catastrophe. For many months, in fact, I kept highlighting the Vancouver Olympics (Feb 12-28) and its general timeframe, based on various patterns, in particular the following golden/phi-based timecode which had 'Big One' (mega-quake) written all over it.
Not surprisingly, there was to be further twists which I was able to closely follow, leading me to make a necessary adjustment just in time for (i.e. before) the early-January quakes including Haiti. (I haven't yet fully explained what caused me to make the adjustment but that it was a valid move is obviously not in question.) After Haiti, the status of the February 2010 window became uncertain - was it still radioactive or had it released all its energy in January? We now know the answer: Another small time shift, another 'Big One' (this time in Chile), coming the day before the closing ceremony of the 'V Olympics' instead of the opening ceremony. And it was decidedly pentagonal in nature. This is important because in addition to what's already been discussed the pentagram is nearly synonymous with (i.e. found encoded in its geometry) the golden ratio, i.e. '1 : 1.618', therefore linking back to the phi-based timecode above.

New Year's Prophecy - Part 2
Game of Thrones at the End of Time

A big shift is coming, it seems. Our pattern projection was quickly followed by a pattern fulfillment, spawning glimpses of the future in the process as anticipated by " New Year's Prophecy". What's coming, as far as we can tell, is a dramatic tectonic shift in time... 
This New Year's Eve/Day Impact in the form of an Istanbul nightclub terror attack by ISIS came with all the hallmarks identified in New Year's Prophecy (Part 1, posted Dec 30), i.e. Sirius, Rio time code, etc... with ominous implications for the new year: 
- Sirius = New Year's star (culmination at ~midnight/start of Jan 1)
- Istanbul nightclub terror attack on New Year's Eve/Day (1 hr 15 min after midnight local time)
- Sirius = Isis (per ancient Egyptian tradition)
- Istanbul nightclub attack by ISIS
- Isis = "Queen of Heaven" (per tradition)
- Istanbul nightclub named "Reina" meaning "Queen"
- Rio = "New year's city" via ~Jan 1 solar alignment (lat/dec); same alignment also on ~Dec 10 (plus temporal context of 2016 = year of Rio Olympics)
- Jan 1, 2017: Istanbul terror attack (nightclub)
- Dec 10, 2016: Istanbul terror attack (soccer stadium)
It is the geographical focus on Istanbul in particular that exhibits the strongest qualities of being the New Year's crystal ball. This has to do with the papal/Church/Christianity theme highlighted in Part 1... Istanbul used to be called Constantinople after Constantine the Great (AD 272-337) who founded the capital city of the Roman Empire. Constantine played a pivotal role in making Christianity the powerful, dominant religion that it is today. " Constantinian Shift", as it is sometimes called, ensured not only the survival but also the dominance of Christianity over pagan religions including ancient Egyptian cults.
By becoming the first Christian Roman emperor, Constantine initiated the marriage between the Roman Empire and Christianity, in effect creating a "Christian Empire". In 313 he and Licinius decriminalized Christianity with the Edict of Milan; in 325 he convened the first Council of Nicaea to establish the first uniform Christian doctrine/orthodoxy ("Nicene Creed"), officially declaring what Christianity is/should be; in 380 under Roman Emperor Theodosius I Christianity officially became the state religion of the Roman Empire; in 391, Theodosius I issued a decree outlawing ancient cults; in the early 400s the ancient Egyptian temple on the Philae island was the last to be converted into a church. Christianity engulfed the ancient Egyptian magical "religion". Isis was one of the most prominent deities in the ancient Egyptian "religion", making it highly meaningful that we saw Istanbul/ Constantinople juxtaposed with ISIS in the New Year's terror attack. Add to it our Rio de Janeiro " Janus" context, i.e. the god of the beginning and ending, we definitely get this theme of the end of the Egyptian religion and the beginning of the Roman Christianity, geographically and historically interfacing at Istanbul/Constantinople. Also pertinent to this is the back-to-back, daughter-mother double death event/signal that we were sad to see right after Christmas (the biggest Christian holiday)...
Carrie Fisher's last name has a very Christian connotation:
The phrase "fishers of men," also at Mark 1:17, is one of the most well known lines in the entire New Testament, and the most important metaphor for evangelism. The image probably had an important role in the adoption of the Ichthys as a symbol of early Christianity. The reference has also often been moved from the disciples to Jesus, with him being called the "fisher of men," and the image of Jesus as a fisherman is second only to that of Jesus as a shepherd.
Fisher was also Princess Leia in Star Wars which makes her mother Debbie Reynolds analogous to a " queen", ominously resonating with the nightclub Reina - meaning " Queen" - attacked in Istanbul attacked on New Year's Day. On Christmas Day itself was another major death of an icon - George Michael. One of his well known songs was Last Christmas...
...and his most successful album - winning the Grammy Awards for Album of the Year in 1989 - was called Faith (1987). So we continue to see this combination of Christianity and " ending" ("last") together, evoking the 2012 poster ( Rio Jesus statue) we highlighted previously.
Put it all together, the overall message could potentially be (though not exclusively so) something to the effect of " the end of the Age of the Church/Christianity/Roman Empire or Age of Pisces", and perhaps concurrently the resurrection of the ancient Egyptian/Gnostic/Hermetic tradition/philosophy which was forced to go underground by the combined forces of the Church and the Roman Empire. Remember, the key idea behind "New Year's Prophecy" was that we would have a significant event(s) around New Year's Eve/Day, likely related to Sirius, the papacy, as well as the Russia-US cyberwar situation. That it would be a major foreshadowing of what's to come in 2017 and potentially beyond. We are now indeed getting glimpses of the potential future assuming we are on the right track, which we should be based on the accuracy level of our projection so far. Even the Russian cyberwar pattern manifested vividly on New Year's Eve in the form of big news headlines claiming Russian cyber hacking of Vermont's electric utility: 
It's tempting to try to combine the potentially prophetic themes we have going...
- Papacy/Church (ending?)
- Queen ISIS
- Russia-US relations, cyber warfare
For example, we can imagine a scenario in which ISIS assassinates the Pope, or one that has Queen Elizabeth II dying or stepping down like Pope Benedict XVI did back in 2013. As for Russia, the new Cold War-like situation may be something unfolding in the "background" throughout the near. But the most intriguing and central in the whole pattern is the "end of the papacy/Church/Christianity" storyline. Ominously it goes well with curiously accurate St. Malachy's papal prophecy...
The Prophecy of the Popes is a series of 112 short, cryptic phrases in Latin which purport to predict the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few antipopes), beginning with Pope Celestine II. The alleged prophecies were first published by Benedictine monk Arnold Wion in 1595. Wion attributes the prophecies to Saint Malachy, a 12th-century Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland.
According to the prophecy, Pope Francis would correspond to the final pope on the list called " Peter the Roman". (This correspondence is not certain as there is some ambiguity at the end of the pope list, but Francis would definitely be one the final popes.)
Pope Benedict XVI was #111 on the list with the motto "Glory of the Olive". It is then followed by a set of sentences - not just a short motto, but two paragraphs - describing the next/final pope or the next two (or more) final popes...
In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit.
Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus,
quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur,
& judex tremedus judicabit populum suum. Finis.
In the extreme persecution of the Holy Roman Church,
there will sit.

and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the terrible judge will judge his people.
The End.
They clearly describe the end of the Roman Catholic Church, the end of Rome. And it sounds as if this great destruction would come after the reign of "Peter the Roman". That would mean after Pope Francis. If we are in fact getting a multicontextual foreshadowing of 2017 signaling a situation very similar to St. Malachy's "Peter the Roman" prophecy, that would imply the exit of Pope Francis within a year or so, followed by the Fall of the Church and with it the Age of Pisces (Fish). Of course, the big question is, is Pope Francis really Peter the Roman? No way to be sure obviously. But there are intriguing hints. Remember the "sign in the sky" at the time of Pope Benedict's resignation (2013) which also produced a geo-alignment pinpointing Rio (discussed in Part 1)?

Note that " Peter" means " rock". Meteors are "rocks fallen from heaven". So the mid-February 2013 double impact event in effect telegraphed "(space) rock Rome" or " Peter the Roman"! And out of this "Peter the Roman" event came Pope Francis, introduced to the world on March 13, 2013.
As discussed in Part 1 the very first foreign land he officially visited as the pope was... Rio de Janeiro.
It gets even more interesting. Pope Francis's arrival in Rio on January 22, 2013 precisely coincided with the birth of Prince William and Kate's royal baby Prince George. who is Queen Elizabeth II's great grand child.
Remember, the New Year's terror attack in Istanbul/ Constantinople - the "birthplace" of the Roman Catholic Church - involved a nightclub called " Queen" ( Reina). A fascinating Pope-Queen entanglement. Or... a " father-mother" entanglement. After the exit of Queen Elizabeth II, the line of succession will be:
- Prince Charles
- Prince William
- Prince George (William's baby)
It just so happens that Pope Francis's real name is also "George". (Full name: Jorge Mario Bergoglio.) And George Michael just died on Christmas, the biggest Christian holiday mere days before New Year's Day.
Perhaps there is something special about Prince George? I talked extensively about the "Grail bloodline" symbolism surrounding the British royal family, particularly on the Diana side and Prince William, in my 2011 article "Lucifer's Destiny".
Perhaps this year (2017) the Pope and/or the Queen will die/exit which will trigger a chain reaction that leads to:
- the FALL of the Roman Catholic Church
- the RISE of the "Holy Grail" via British Royal Family after QE2
This duality would make a lot of multicontextual sense since the Holy Grail tradition has a lot - if not is all about - the Gnostic/Hermetic/Egyptian underground stream, the "religion" or philosophy (as well as bloodlines in some capacity) embodied in the figure of Isis, suppressed by the Roman Christianity which came into power via Constantin the Great. I'm not saying the bloodline of Princess Diana (Prince William, Prince George, etc.) has to be literally of the Holy Grail a la "The Da Vince Code", but even just a symbolic rise of "King Arthur" in this manner would be... well, symbolic of "Isis rising".
Isis is Sirius, and Sirius is "The Star", which is tarot card #17 as in 2017.
Perhaps it's no coincidence that the origin of the tarot could be traced back to underground stream tradition. We noted in Part 1 the cover of The Economist predicting 2017 world events displays the tarot, and the biggest political/geopolitical event coming in 2017 is a figure named "Trump" as in trump/tarot cards.
Plus, let's not forget that the musician Prince died on Queen Elizabeth II's birthday (April 21) last year.
It connects back to Rio as the Olympics there started on the day of a Regulus-Venus conjunction. Regulus, the heart of lion (Leo), is traditionally known as "prince" (or "little king").
The Rio Olympics ended on August 21 when Regulus was in conjunction with the Sun...
...coinciding with a deadly earthquake in central Italy near Rome where the Pope resides.

These things are heavily interconnected. When there is this level of inter-contextual coherence, that's when you know there is a big hurricane forming and at some point it will strike. And when it does, it helps if we are prepared and mentally ready. (In some cases, we may even be able to prevent it.) Going multicontextual, as done in this New Year's Prophecy series, can be very valuable in this sense, helping us acquire a perspective unstuck in linear time. The torch is being passed from the Old World to the New World, a new age to rise out of the ashes of the old age like the phoenix. Mars is coming. An ending is always a new beginning, always together, like New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Now face-to-face with this "Janus moment" in history, we can't help but be reminded of the old Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times"...

Intertemporal Perspective via 2016 Tower & Star Rituals

Not all New Year's Days are created equal and this one coming up happens to be a special one. The previous one was special as well, both being attached to the year 2016, the point of no return. And if the pattern holds, we are in for a whole new set of inter-temporal "clues" which, if decoded properly, should be quite prophetic in nature. Decoding these things happens to be my specialty, or obsession...
It's telling that The Economist's annual, end of the year crystal ball edition features a cover with tarot cards. Obviously they were inspired by the irresistible combination of "Trump" (cards) and the idea of divination (predicting the future). Not too surprising there. (What is surprising though is how most people trying to "decode" it can't even crack the first step: The only two tilted cards, "Judgment" and "The Star", are card #20 and card #17 per tradition, spelling out "20-17" or "2017".)
The Economist is actually a bit late to the party as there was a whole lot of foreshadowing going on last year through the tarot symbolism on New Year's Eve/Day (2015/2016). It came in the form of Dubai's tower inferno evoking the Tower card numbered 16 (as in 20 16)...
...in effect foreshadowing the earthshaking rise of "Trump" who famously lives in Trump Tower (= Tower trump card).
Extending the pattern forward in time would have the new year 2017 correspond to tarot card #17 - " The Star".
It would most certainly be Sirius on New Year's Eve/Day as a magical celestial moment arrives every year when the brightest star in the night sky "culminates" due south reaching its highest point right around midnight on New Year's Eve/Day.
But as I said, it's extra special around 2016. I'm quite aware of this, and it seems so was Nostradamus. Let me introduce you to quatrain II-41, or as I like to call it the "Sirius quatrain":

Right now it is highly relevant and timely as shown below:
Line 1: The great star will burn for seven days
Being the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius certainly qualifies as a "great star". It "burns" in the sense that the name "Sirius" means "scorcher" plus the phrase "Dog Days of summer" derives from Sirius's nickname "Dog Star". Even the "seven days" (sept jours) part relates to Sirius in that ancient Egyptians called the star Spd, Spdt, or Sept, resonating with the French sept meaning "seven. ("Seven days" can also allude to the 7-day festival Saturnalia, Dec 17-23.)
Line 2: The cloud will make two suns appear
In esoteric tradition Sirius has been considered the "second sun".
Line 3: The large mastiff will howl all night
Sirius is the "Dog Star" ("mastiff") and it "howls all night" on New Year's Eve/Day by being visible all night long. (Culminating around midnight implies being visible from dusk to dawn.)
Line 4: When the great pontiff changed territory
The last time there was a change in the papacy was back in 2013 when Pope Benedict XVI stepped down and Pope Francis took over. Unbeknownst to most, it managed to multicontextually encode an arrow pointing ahead to the year 2016:
- Pope Benedict XVI is "16" (XVI), numerically resonating with 2016 and the Tower card (XVI)
- Pope Francis's first foreign trip ("changing territory") as head of the Catholic Church was to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in July 2013, where the Summer Olympics would take place in 2016
In the context of the "Sirius quatrain" II-41, it makes a lot of sense for Rio to be highlighted in this manner. It has to do with the real, hidden reason behind the name "Rio de Janeiro" or " River of January" which I'm revealing here for the first time anywhere (aside from STRUG/members section which is always ahead)... Firstly, the term " January" (Janeiro) derives from Janus the god of beginnings, endings, time, and doorways. Basically a perfect set of descriptions for New Year's Eve/Day (= beginning of January).
And it just so happens it's right around New Year's Day, when Sirius "howls all night", that Rio and the Sun are aligned in terms of latitude & declination. In other words, the Sun is directly overhead at noon in Rio right around New Year's Day. Rio in this way indeed is a "city of Janus/January"!
As above, so below... Sirius is the " New Year's star" above, Rio de Janeiro is the " New Year's city" below. Having established this and 2016 being the year of the Rio Olympics, we can then quite easily infer that the beginning and ending of 2016 are of special, "ritualistic" significance. We already saw this in action at the beginning of 2016 (Dubai tower fire), and we are now about to witness something at the end of 2016. The straightforward expectation would be that it would reflect " The Star" card - #17 representing "2017" - just as the Dubai tower inferno was a simulation of the "Tower" tarot card, #16. This would mean it would likely involve Sirius on New Year's Eve/Day. (I may actually already know the ritual taking place, but I'll save it for another article, perhaps early next year.) There is another approach here to discerning the nature of the end of 2016 "ritual(s)". It has to do with the fact that Rio and the Sun are also aligned on ~December 10th (equidistant from the solstice).
That "preview" window precisely coincided with a major geopolitical flareup stemming from the apparent Russian cyber attacks against the US during the 2016 presidential election.
 It's an ongoing situation, happening in real time as I write this and it wouldn't be surprising if we hear more about the US retaliation against Russia around the New Year's Eve/Day weekend, such as actual US cyber attacks against Russia.
(I've consistently pointed to the significance of the Russian cyberwar situation since the very beginning. See: Jul 26 tweet, Jul 27 tweet, Jul 30 tweet, Aug 30 update. Here we are, it's like the Cold War has returned.) Saturnalia (Dec 17-23) was another important window we were watching very closely... (Saturnalia starts on Pope Francis's birthday, by the way.) And it was intense indeed...
Notable as it connects right back to the 2015-2016 New Year's Eve/Day "ritual". The name "Dubai" means "market". And the fire there took place right next to the Dubai's spectacular New Year's fireworks.
Makes us wonder if these constitute an omen foreshadowing a major market/financial event coming in the New Year.
I'm going to end this article here, but really we've just scratched the surface. Just the tip of the iceberg for what's unfolding... because 2016 was a tipping point, the point of no return. We didn't even touch on the earth changes and the sixth mass extinction already being discussed on STRUG...
