THE COUNT TO PENTECOST “PROVES” LUNAR SABBATHS

The only way the Hebrew speaking Jews and the Greek speaking Jews could have arrived at Pentecost on the same day is by Lunar Sabbaths. This is an absolute because the word Sabbath in Leviticus 23:11 is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath and thousands of people have this knowledge including the Hebrew speaking Jews.

On the other hand, thousands of people including the Greek speaking Jews have the knowledge that the morrow after the Sabbath is referring to the 16th (Day after the 15th/weekly Sabbath) of the first month every year because in the Greek Septuagint it says, “on the morrow of the first day the Priest shall of wave it”, it is a FACT that the first day in the Septuagint is referring to the 15th or first day of unleavened bread, and the morrow after the 15th, (or 1st day), is the 16th.

We know from the book of Acts that they where Greek speaking Jews as well as Hebrew speaking Jews from every nation kindred and tongue, including Greek speaking Jews from Alexander Egypt, gathered for the day of Pentecost. Some read from the Septuagint and some read from the Hebrew text and both had to have known that the 15th was the weekly Sabbath because they were at Pentecost on the same day and started there count from the same day.

The point is this, when these Greek speaking Jews read the Septuagint and started their count for Pentecost on the morrow after the 15th every year and they arrived on the same day as the Hebrew speaking Jews that began the count on the morrow after the weekly Sabbath, this can only mean one thing and that is that the Hebrew speaking Jews and the Greek speaking Jews understood the 15th to be the weekly Shabbat and they started their count for Pentecost on the same day as the Greek speaking Jews that read from the Septuagint, i.e. from the morrow of the 1st day of unleavened bread. 

In other words, these thousands of people on both sides are right because the ones that believe the morrow after the 15th, which is the 16th, is right and the ones that believe the morrow after the weekly Sabbath, which is the 16th is right.

Later on their fathers had compromised the lunar week for the Roman week and the Pentecost debate began.


Both Josephus and Philo records that the count for Pentecost begins on the 16th which is the morrow after the Sabbath and the Septuagint was read and quoted from, same as the Hebrew text, and everyone was at Pentecost on the same day and there was no controversy among them concerning Pentecost until they adopted the false Roman week that is followed today.


The Universally Jewish Encyclopedia and another 100-year-old Jewish Encyclopedia by Funk & Wag, both records that ancient Israel originally kept lunar weeks and lunar Sabbaths.


Philo the Jew, which lived at the same time our Saviour did, records that the weeks were by the moon and also Clement of Alexander. Most people know that the month were originally by the moon but failed to realize that the 4 phases of the moon were used for the weeks.

At the end of a Roman week you have a Roman sabbath and at the end of a Lunar week you have a Lunar Sabbath.

Amos 8 Proves Pentecost in the 4th month

Amos 8:4-6

4Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, 5Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? 6That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the "refuse" of the wheat?


It is likely that the merchants would have said this around wheat harvest, when the "refuse"/chaff of the wheat was still handy and everyone was anticipating the new grain, not something that they would say every New month/moon.

 

The Hebrew word for “refuse” is

From H5307; a falling off, that is, chaff; also something pendulous, that is, a flap:—flake, refuse.

 

The only time I see that they could sale this chaff would be at the beginning of the wheat harvest when everyone was busy buying the fresh grain.

 

Another reasonthat Amos 8 fit quite well with lunar Sabbatarians doctrine of my persuasion is because the “very first day” that the new (Pentecost) wheat harvest can be set forth for sale is “always” after the last weekly Sabbath of the month/moon (on the 29th) which is “always” followed by a one or two day new moon feast and this is likely when this statement would be made by the wicked, “When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat,”  i.e. the earliest anyone could sale wheat would be after the new moon day.

The crooked merchants could hardly wait for the Sabbath and new moon day to be over so they could cheat the people in selling them grain from this new fresh wheat, which was mixed with the refuse (chaff). The chaff should be separated from the wheat but the chaff could be mixed in with the wheat around Pentecost and sold "after" the Sabbath and new moon had passed but not before. i.e. you have Pentecost then Sabbath then new moon and then they could set the wheat out for sale but no one would sale or buy it until after the new moon and Sabbath was gone.

The reason I believe that the vision that Amos 8 is talking about is one the three festival/chag each year, which is always celebrated at one of the three harvests, Passover, Pentecost, or tabernacles, is because,

#1. Singing in the temple is mentioned in verse 3, and singing on the Chag/feast is a Law of YHWH.

 

 Psalm 81

 

1    Sing aloud unto Elohim our strength: make a joyful noise unto the Elohim of Jacob.

2    Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

3    Blow up the trumpet in the new moon/month, in the time appointed/full moon, on our solemn “feast” day/Chag.

  • For this was a statute for Israel, and a “law” of the Elohim of Jacob.

 

So we see here that singing on the Chag/feast is a Law of YHWH and this is what they were doing in Amos 8:1

NOTE: all sabbaths begin the evening BEFORE the date listed. There are two Sabbath’s back to back at the Feast Of Weeks. After trying this last year, I have made a decision regarding what appears to be a “natural rule” regarding the Feast Of Weeks (Pentecost). We are, at this juncture, treating this feast as a “double” sabbath (similar to the new moon) that re-sets the sabbath pattern on the 50th day. This worked perfectly last year when I rendered it thus, and seems reasonable that there is a natural basis for doing so.

I do not, and will not, consider myself and these dates to be without error. They are the best I can do after looking at the lunar cycle for about 17 years now. Note also that there was likely a mistake in calculation sometime between December of 2006 and the present passover, 2007. It is corrected as rendered on this schedule - with the new First Month dates.

Last, one or two religious “experts” have criticized me harshly if I render three months in a row with either two new moon days, or three. They have forgotten that the lunar cycle does not fit into whole numbers - ever - it is what it is - Yah’s beautiful creation. Please feel free to adjust any dates you believe are incorrect, and drop me a note at your convenience.

THE HEBREW MOONS AND THEIR MEANING IN YHWH’S SALVATION PLAN
1. AVIV - meaning: to be tender or green, i.e. a young ear of grain of barley (for unleavened bread).
2. ZIV - means: splendor/radiance and refers to the beauty of flowers blooming on this spring season.
3. SIVAN - means: bright - their covering, the month Yisrael came to mount Saini, month mentioned in (Ezekiel 31:1, Exodus 19:1, Esther 8:9)
4. SREPHA - meaning: burning, beginning of summer and the start of the wheat harvest (2nd harvest), the month that Moshe went up the fiery mount to collect the Torah in tablet form (Shavuot/Chamishim/Pentecost) –

5. AV - means: "father," it derives from the root which means "to will" or "to desire"; (see Numbers 33:38, Ezra 7:9, 2Kings 25:8, Jeremiah 52:12, Ezekiel 20:1).
6. ELUL - means: a vain thing, but is called the month of "Teshuvah" (Repentance), before the start of the days of awe following Yom Teruah. The name ELUL is an acronym for the initial letters of a phrase in the Song of Songs 6:3.
7. ETHANIM - means: ever flowing streams, the beginning of the autumn season and final harvest (inc. fruit), this months letter Zayin is an ancient Hebrew picture of a weapon, its meaning is to cut or to cut off. Adam was given Life on the 1st of Ethanim, which was the 6th day of creation. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them, YHWH then rested and this was the first Sabbath, the Seventh day given to mankind (also Yom Kippur and Feast of Tabernacles).
8. BUL - means: rain, withering, increase, the month the great flood began. Other events in Cheshvan (1 Kings 12:32-33, 1 Kings 6:38, 1 Chronicles 27:11, Zechariah 1:1).
9. KISLEV - means: trust and security, the word "lev" is heart! The festival of Hanukah is celebrated on the 25th, and would be the exact time that Gabriel greeted Myriam with the Good News of Messiah Yahshua's birth, 9 months later on the 1st day of the Feast of Sukkot (see John 10).
10. TEVET - means: root word from good "tov", the beginning of the winter season, see (Genesis 8:5, Ezra 10:16, Ezekiel 33:21, Kings 25:1, Jeremiah 52:4, Ezekiel 24:1, Ezekiel 29:1).
11. SHEVAT - means: "Tu B'Shevat" is like a birthday for trees, and is the sharing of the fruit from the tree of life, also Yisrael began to receive the Book of Devarim (Deuteronomy) from YHWH.
12. ADAR - means: to be wide; to be made great/honourable. Purim is found in the book of Esther, celebrated on the 14th day, and on the 15th (Sabbath) during the time of Joshua. A "Bet" is added if the harvest for passover/unleavened bread is not ready.
 

A Torah Gematria of the number 153 in the book of Exodus (see also John 21:11) can be found in Ex 12:21,
"the pesach (passover)-offering." The words "the passover" = 153, Hey = 5, Pey = 80, Samech = 60, Chet = 8, total = 153. The phrase, "all the sons of Israel" = 153 as well. It means that "because of the Passover, all the sons of Israel will be drawn into the net, and this will take place in the last days!
"And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob" (Romans 11:26).

THE TRUE COUNT TO PENTECOST REDISCOVERED

This amazing discovery takes the guesswork out of how to count to Pentecost by conclusively proving from Scripture that the numbering of the 50 days begins on the morrow AFTER the seventh Sabbath complete, (Leviticus 23:16) instead of numbering from the wave sheaf. By doing this, it places Pentecost at the end of the FOURTH month instead of the beginning of the THIRD month.

Did you know that there is not even a THIRD month FEAST OF ANY KIND found in Scripture But there is in the fourth month? WOW!

Did you know that there is not even a conclusive WHEAT HARVEST or harvest of any kind in the THIRD month found in Scripture But there is in the fourth month? WOW!

Did you know that the law that was written with the finger of YHWH was not given to Moses until the END OF THE FOURTH MONTH which is 50 days AFTER the seventh Sabbath complete? WOW!

Did you know that Pentecost was one of the three major Pilgrim feasts that were called Chags in the Hebrew, where the children of Israel were commanded to travel up to Jerusalem each year and there is not even a Chag found in Scripture in the THIRD month but there is in the fourth month? WOW!

Did you know that there is Historical evidence of EYEWITNESSES of people who lived at the same time of our Saviour and the Apostles, keeping Pentecost 50 days AFTER the seventh Sabbath complete? WOW!

Did you know that Acts chapters 20 and 21 shows that it is a MATHEMATICAL CERTAINTY that the Apostle Paul and thousands of believing Jews were keeping Pentecost BEYOND the traditional 50 day count? WOW! WOW! WOW! Did you know that the Children of Israes kept Pentecost on the day that the Law was given and they called it a Chag/Feast to YHWH and it was exactly 50 days AFTER the 7th Sabbath? WOW! 

Did you know that in light of all of this, along with the evidence that I am going to produce in this book, people will still keep their tradition of Pentecost in the THIRD month? WOW!

Did you know that what you do not know can DESTROY you? Hosea 4:6 says my people are DESTROYED for lack of knowledge. WOW!

Did you know that if we reject knowledge, that He will reject us? This is also found in Hosea 4:6 i.e. if we do not know something or have no knowledge of it we are damned and if we reject the knowledge that is presented to us we are damned. Did you know it is our duty to search out a matter, and if we do not well held accountable? WOW!

Having said that I will proceed to conclusive proof that Leviticus 23:16 should be understood to begin the count to Pentecost, 50 days AFTER the seventh Sabbath complete.

Here are some of my notes on what the Scripture teaches is the true count to Pentecost which is 50 days “after” the 7th Sabbath complete, not 50 days after the wave sheaf or 1st Sabbath.

Below is an abundance of evidence from scripture and nature that conclusively proves a later Pentecost. Go to http://lunarsabbath.us/id11.html and see that it is MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the children of Israel to have reached Mount Sinai in time for the traditional third month Pentecost.

          INTRODUCTION  If someone wanted to argue Pentecost in the third month, would it be asking too much for them to produce ONE scripture supporting a wheat harvest in the 3rd month “springtime”??? After all that is what Pentecost is, first fruits of the wheat harvest.  Would it be asking too much to show where there was even a Feast in the 3rd month??? 

 Leviticus 23:16 can be understood two ways, the traditional way is to count 50 days from the wave sheaf of the barley harvest, and another way it can be understood is to count 50 days from the morrow “after” the seventh Sabbath. To prove which understanding is correct, we must turn to nature and other Scripture other than the one in question. We know that Pentecost has to do with the wheat harvest and I challenge someone to show where there is a wheat harvest, mentioned in the Scripture, for a 3rd month Pentecost.

 If someone can find a Winter wheat harvest in scriptures or a feast/Chag in the THIRD month, then there is at least a 50-50 chance that the 50 days after the wave sheaf could possibly be right, OTHERWISE IT IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION.

 The reason I say 50-50 chance is because we definitely have a conclusive pinpointed “summer” wheat harvest in the 4th month which is found over and over throughout the Scriptures and we also have a conclusive feast/Chag mentioned in the fourth month, and therefore it could be understood either way if someone can find a Winter wheat harvest or a feast/Chag in the third month, then they could argue it was 50 days after the barley sheaf/Winter wheat harvest, and we could argue that it is 50 days after the seventh Sabbath complete, which would be a summer wheat harvest.  In other words if someone can produce scripture for harvesting wheat in the spring, instead of summer, then it could go either way but until someone finds a conclusive Winter wheat harvest or a feast/Chag in the third month, IT IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION.  We must prove what the Scripture in Leviticus 23:16 is speaking of. Now “if” they were no summer wheat harvest found in Scripture and you had plenty of Winter wheat harvests found in Scripture, and “if” there was a third month feast/Chag then the obvious understanding would be to count 50 days after the barley wave sheaf for the winter wheat harvest and a third month Pentecost.  Simple.   On the other hand if there is no Winter wheat harvest mentioned in Scripture, (and there’s not) and there's no third month feast/Chag mentioned in Scripture, then the obvious conclusion is to begin the 50 day count from the morrow after the seventh Sabbath complete and then bring the new meat offering from the summer wheat, the only wheat spoken of in scriptures.  Simple

 

Below you will read many Scripture which will harmonize with counting 50 days “after” the seventh Sabbath, not after the wave sheaf, such as when Aaron made proclamation of a Pilgrim feast/CHAG which was 50 days after the seventh Sabbath complete and the only Pilgrim Feast this could have been was Pentecost because it was in the fourth month when Aaron proclaimed this. There is no CHAG found in the 3rd month for the traditional Pentecost. 

 

 

 

 

All Scriptures that I have found is referring to “summer” wheat which is sowed in the 1st month and reaped in the 4th. 

 

Winter wheat takes 7 months to harvest and our Saviour say's are there not 4 months then cometh the harvest, refering to summer wheat. This also explains why the wheat was not distroyed in the 1st month in Egypt, because it had not came up yet.

 

We can prove many wheat harvests in the "summer", throughout the Scriptures, but is there one shred of evidence for a wheat harvest in the "spring"? The answer is no, so there is no Scriptural wheat harvest in the spring, so it must be understood that Pentecost is counted from the morrow "after" the seventh Sabbath/intermission, instead of from the wave sheaf it’s self.

 

All the males were commanded to appear before YHWH three times in the year, these three feasts centered around the three major harvests. The first one is Unleavened Bread/barley harvest, which takes place in the "springtime", or Spring feast, then the second one takes place in the "summer", at the summer wheat harvest called Pentecost or summer harvest, the first fruits of the summer wheat harvest is offered, not Winter wheat which is harvested in the "spring", two weeks after the barley, and is still in the spring season.

 

Every where in Scripture and history from Josephus and Philo who lived at the time of these harvest, wheat was always a summer harvest. Study these EXAMPLES closely.

#1. In the book of Josephus it tells how that it was “Summer” time when the fruit of the land being almost ripe enough for reaping that Samson set fire to the fruit of the land i.e. "wheat" and grapes etc. and in the book of Judges it plainly tells that it was in the time of wheat harvest when Samson done this. Read the following from Josephus and the book of Judges.


CHAPTER 8 CONCERNING THE FORTITUDE OF SAMSON, AND WHAT MISCHIEFS HE BROUGHT UPON THE PHILISTINES

.
7. (295) At this injurious treatment Samson was so provoked that he resolved to punish all the Philistines, as well as her; so it being then “summer” time, and the fruits of the land being almost ripe enough for reaping, he caught three hundred foxes, and joining lighted torches to their tails, he sent them into the fields of the Philistines, by which means the fruits of the fields perished.

 

In the book of Judges Chapter 15:5 it says:

“1But it came to pass within a while after, in the “time” of “wheat” harvest that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in. 2And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her. 3And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure. 4And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. 5And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing “corn” of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing “corn”, with the ”vineyards and “olives”.

In other words the time of wheat harvest is in the summer, NOT spring. This proves that this wheat harvest is speaking of "summer" wheat harvest and not spring harvest of winter wheat. Josephus knew enough about how many foxes etc. because he knew the Scriptures, wonder why he didn't know that the wheat harvest was in the spring instead of summer? Or maybe he knew that wheat harvest in his time was in the Summer and not Spring. You Judge and remember the people knew about farming in those days, and to say whether he was a Pharisee or Sadducee makes no difference concerning the harvest and nature.

 

The following quote from Josephus also proves the wheat was Summer wheat and not Winter wheat  


1. (323) In the meantime Herod’s affairs in
Judea were in an ill state. He had left his brother Joseph with full power, but had charged him to make no attempts against Antigonus till his return;for that Macheras would not be such an assistant as he could depend on, as it appeared by what he had done already; but as soon as Joseph heard that his brother was at a very great distance, he neglected the charge he had received, and marched towards Jericho with five cohorts, which Macheras sent with him. This movement was intended for seizing on the corn, as it was now in the midst of “summer;”

Notice the last verse of this quote. This is found in Josephus under:


THE DEATH OF JOSEPH [HEROD’S BROTHER], WHICH HAD BEEN SIGNIFIED TO HEROD IN DREAMS. HOW HEROD WAS PRESERVED TWICE, AFTER A WONDERFUL MANNER. HE CUTS OFF THE HEAD OF PAPPUS WHO WAS THE MURDERER OF HIS BROTHER, AND SENDS THAT HEAD TO [HIS OTHER BROTHER] PHERORAS, AND IN NO LONG TIME HE BESIEGES
JERUSALEM, AND MARRIES MARIAMNE


This next quote which lists the 4 seasons, proves they were known back then: Philo, On The Creation

“And in addition to the four elements the seasons of the year are also four, which are the “causes” of the “generation” of animals and “plants”, the year being divided into the quadruple division of winter, and “spring”, and “summer”, and “autumn”.
XVII. (53) The aforesaid number therefore being accounted worthy”


Notice he says these four seasons Winter, and Spring, and Summer, and Autumn, are cause of the generation of animals and “plants”

In other words you have three harvest feasts each year, barley in the spring, wheat in the summer, and the annual fruits of the trees etc. in the autumn.

I have heard the argument that all harvest was Summer time, but that is not acceptable because Josephus says, “And in addition to the four elements the seasons of the year are also four, which are the “causes” of the “generation” of animals and “plants”, the year being divided into the quadruple division of winter, and “spring”, and “summer”, and “autumn”.

 


Bottom line is someone should have a Scripture or some kind of proof that there is a spring wheat harvest instead of a summer wheat harvest to support their 50 day count after the wave sheaf instead of 50 days after the seventh Sabbath complete for Pentecost.

I can give many Scriptures and history from people that lived at this time that there is a summer wheat harvest which would have to be 50 days after the seventh Sabbath instead of 50 days after the first Sabbath.

50 days after the first Sabbath can only produce a spring wheat harvest and 50 days after the seventh Sabbath can only produce a summer wheat harvest. Which one does the Scripture teach? We know what tradition of men teaches.

 

 

 

It says in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 13:15: In those days saw I in Judah some treading “wine presses” on the sabbath, and bringing in “sheaves”, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. Nehemiah saw men treading grapes in these wine presses and the grapes are not ripe until summer and the sheaves they were bringing in had to be summer sheaves. The Winter wheat is gone by this time and so was springtime.
Our Saviour says that after four months comes the harvest. This has to be speaking of the summer wheat harvest which matures in four months. It is sown in the first month Abib/spring and is reaped in the fourth month/summer which is seven Sabbaths plus 50 days and then you can bring a first fruit from it/summer fruit. This is why the hail did not destroy the wheat in Egypt because it had not come up yet because it was planted in the first month. In John 4: 35 it says:
“say not ye ., there are yet four months then cometh the harvest”  Winter wheat is at least 6 or 7 months to harvest and not four months to harvest as our Saviour said it was, and as I have said, winter wheat can NOT be pinpointed in scripture and therefore is not even an option for Pentecost wheat. 

John-12:24 says,

 24…..“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of “wheat” fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. ….27Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. …..32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 33This he said, signifying what death he should die”. Once again a corn of wheat can NOT bring forth a harvest in 50 days and I can not picture our Saviour not using a true analogy. He was buried in the 1st month, same as summer wheat is and a harvest of soles was reaped 50 days AFTER a week of weeks has passed over or 50 days AFTER 7 Sabbaths had passed over. It was the same time that the Law was given to Moses.  When Aaron used the word CHAG, which is only used for Pilgrim feast, it was in the Summer time and it was 50 days after the seventh Sabbath. It was also the same day that the Law was given on Mount Sinai. Ex-32:5 and Ex-31:18
Philo says that the harvest comes after the grapes are ripe and the grapes are not ripe until summer. He also tells of some men that was keeping a prelude or for feast of the greatest feast i.e. Pentecost, 50 days after the wave sheaf. That means that the morrow after the 7th Sabbath is NOT Pentecost, but the start of the 50 day count to Pentecost.
He also says that wheat was the last of all" the grains that are sowed in the field to ripen and come to harvest. This was Pentecost wheat that he was referring to, and it has to be summer wheat to ripen last, after winter wheat. Philo  SPECIAL LAWS, 11 (186)
The wheat harvest and Tabernacles are to be observed at the years end/turning (Ex34:22) and that does not happened until June 21. ( after the traditional Pentecost} In other words you have a turning March 21 and then keep Passover, in the Spring and you have another turning June 21st and you keep Pentecost, in the Summer and then you have another turning September 21 in the days of Tabernacles, in the Fall. If you try to keep the traditional Pentecost in the third month/June 6, it is not at the years end or turning, which happens on June 21. and is not in harmony with Torah Law.When they came into the land they were to reap the harvest thereof/barley, wave sheaf, count seven sabbaths/intermissions complete, number 50 days, then bring a new meat offering from their” labors that “they” sowed in the field i.e. wheat. In other words if they sowed the summer wheat in the first month when they came into the land they could reap a harvest for a first fruit 50 days after the seventh Sabbath from their labors which they sowed in the field, but NOT in 50 days from the time they sowed, for nature will not allow the wheat to mature in 50 days. Ex-23:16There is so much proof supporting the count should began 50 days after the seventh Sabbath instead of 50 days after the first Sabbath.

Bottom line is, can anyone locate a "spring" wheat harvest for a 3rd month Pentecost? If not, maybe it is not there and is only a tradition of men.

Here are a few Scriptures to support the summer fruit/wheat harvest: Proverbs 10:5

5He that gathereth in SUMMER is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in “HARVEST” is a son that causeth shame.”

Notice summer and harvest is synonymous.

Proverbs 26:1

“1As snow in “Summer”, and as rain in “Harvest”, so honour is not seemly for a fool.”

Again summer and harvest is synonymous.

Isaiah 16:9

“9Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy “SUMMER” fruits and for thy HARVEST is fallen (some of harvest not spring harvest). 10And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field;and in the VINEYARDS there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no WINE in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.”

Notice here the summer fruits of the harvest AND the wine are connected.

Isaiah 17: 5-6

“5And it shall be as when the HARVESTMAN gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the VALLEY of Rephaim.

6Yet “Gleaning Grapes” shall be left in IT (Valley), as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith YHWH the Mighty One of Israel”.

Tabernacles Future Fulfillment

It is also interesting to note that Tabernacles was a feast of ingathering of the Harvest (Exo 23:16 and 34:22). If Jesus' first coming was indeed on 15 Tishri, the first day of Tabernacles, then it is quite reasonable to presume that the harvest of this earth, the ingathering of the second coming of Jesus Christ, will also occur on precisely the same date. The unknown factor would be the year that this would happen.

It is interesting that the appearance of Gabriel to Zacharias occurred during the time of the burning of incense in the Temple service, because Gabriel was seen standing at the right side of the altar of incense . This location is special when we consider that Gabriel, the only angel recorded to enter the Tabernacle, announced the birth of John, who was the embodiment of this altar as the last prophet of the Old Testament. Even as this altar of incense lead from the east, to the Ark of the Covenant in the holiest of all, so the transitional ministry of John the Baptist would lead unto Christ. Even as the altar of incense would prepare the pilgrim for his offerings to the Heavenly Father, whose dwelling among His people was signified in the holy of the holies , so John would; " make ready a people prepared for the Lord ." This sheds more light on the geometric structure of these two altars in the ground plan of the Temple as it is fulfilled in the New Testament. There is also an application to Jesus' statement in Matt. 3:15 when he told John, in the act of water baptism, he would anoint him so that they could fulfill all righteousness together. With the water baptism administered by John as the anointing of Jesus, the Old Testament Temple hierarchy of priests was spiritually superceded with the arrival of the heir apparent to the High Priest. Jesus,' whose coming was after the Order of Melchisedek , a priesthood not based on the sacrifice of bulls and goats, but the sinless body and perfect blood of the lamb of God.

It was Christ who cleansed the Temple in his day, even as God showed Ezekiel the cleansing that was required in the Temple leaders in his day, who were engaged in the idolatry of sun worship . Let's take a closer look at what God's Word labeled as " abominations " in Ezekiel 8: 6, 9, 13 and 17 above, along with other key elements of these verses.

Ezek. Ez. 8:10-12, 16
v.10 " creeping things "- A reference to the entire realm of evil spirits that crept into the heart of the rational minds of the " elders of Judah ," as a direct result of their devotions to the astrological and heathen idols in the immediate context.

v.11 " seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel "- The Sanhedrin, or spiritual leadership of Israel. " in the midst of them stood Jazaniah "- the leader promoting the serpent's influence in spiritual darkness. He utilized the Astrology of the culture, hiding behind a cloak of legitimacy of the culture's religious leadership. " with every man a censer in his hand "-each had their own offering to their personal astrological idol.

v.12 " chamber of his imagery "-this shows the Canaanite influence of personal idols in each person's mind, depicted for Ezekiel in divine revelation from God.

" women weeping for Tammuz "- Tammuz another name for Nimrod , means to purify by fire and was related to human sacrifice associated with the idol Molech : [ Amos 5:25 ], bearing the name of their fire god. Their children would " pass through the fire " in this ritual ( II Chron. 33:6-7 ), to ostensibly purify themselves. As a reference to human sacrifice , this shows where rituals of this kind of idolatry will lead, as witnessed most graphically in the star religion of ancient Mexico. In this connection, the Judean philosopher Maimonades also makes reference to the scene of women weeping for the death of Tammuz ' in a temple of Babylon. Nimrod is recognized as a historical originator of fire worship, which grew rampantly at this early stage.

The women " weeping for Tammuz " is significant for at least two reasons, first because it shows the depth of spiritual decay all through the culture of Israel, based on this idolatry. This idolatry had permeated down to the family unit as the foundation of the culture and society, as seen here in Ezekiel , beginning in the upper echelons of the Temple leadership including the spiritual heads of all 24 courses of the priests. Secondly, we should be aware of the context of Ezekiel 8 , which refers to the great Hallel , sung on very rare occasions, making up the Psalms of the Degrees [ Psalm 120-136 ]. Edersheim distinguishes this from the " the common Hallel ," which is found in Psalm 113-118 . 14 As is the case above, the enemy is always attempting to hide and cover the truth of Christ's dominion over the powers of darkness, the driving force behind all idolatry. This idolatry is rooted in Lucifer's "original sin" of his coup d'etat and attempted revolt in God's High Mountain dwelling-place inthe sides of the North . This is recorded in Isaiah 14.

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north : 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit . 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying , Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 1 9 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch , and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet . 20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

We noticed earlier in reference to the celestial pillars or four Cardinal Directions of the horizon, that the North was omitted. Isaiah 14:13 above gives us a clue as to why. The North symbolized God's holy habitations in His High Mountain, that Lucifer had designs on in his failed coup. We have already seen some of the celestial symbolism in the precession of the poles , relating the truths of Lucifer's former brilliance as a resident of " the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north ." The archaic pole star Thuban in Draco , was stripped of his former glory, and the star Polaris of Ursa Minor , under the feet of Cepheus the crowned king and promised seed, now holds this pole position, the former " gate of his enemies , " as Genesis 22:17 stated earlier. This may give one reason why the North was omitted in Numbers 24 , inreference to the celestial pillars upholding the firmament, until the rise of the new Morning Star and the realization of the authority and dominion of Jesus as the promised seed is fully realized. This is a truth that the serpent has always attempts to hide.....

Ezekiel 8: 3-5, 14 : " the north " in another sense refers to that part of the astronomical pole in the North, we have just seen symbolized in detail with the architecture of the Temple and Tabernacle. Additionally, it refers the gap in the northern skies ( Böötes Void ), where there are no stars visible to the naked eye. This symbolizes the gap in the timeline of spiritual administrations, where the Mystery of the Age of Grace was concealed. This spiritual Body of Christ revealed in the Epistles of the Church Age, were only prophesied of in the celestial epistles. This revelation of the Great Mystery [Rom. 16:25-26], is truly the heart of truth in the Church epistles, even as the revelation of Jesus Christ the Promised Seed is the heart of the revelation of the celestial epistles. This Great Mystery of our Age of Grace [ Col . 1:25-27 ], and the Church as the Temple of God in the spiritual body of His Son Jesus Christ, the chief cornerstone , was not written in the stars like the rest of the story of redemption was, it was only prophesied of , [ Job 26:7 & I Pet. 1:8-11], to keep it a secret from the enemy, [II Cor 2:7-10].

The reference to " the north " also tells us that God was going to reveal something that He had never shown, about the true heart allegiances of the elders of Israel at this time. Thus we can also see how the north is also a figure denoting a person's attitude of heart because the North is at the center of the Word engraved in the heavens, as the human heart is figuratively at the center of the human body. This tells us what was revealed back in Ezekiel 8:10 concerning the realm of evil spirits that crept into the heart of the rational minds of the " elders of Judah ." The "heart" is also a figurative reference to the believing center of the will in Ephesians 6:10-17 , in the hearts and minds of the New Testament believers. The north al so indicates God's dwelling place, [ Job 22:12 ], at the focal points of both the Temple and Tabernacle structures, and finally in the hearts of the born again believers . We should also notice the alignment of these sacred Hebrew edifices towards the heavens, since their orientation was consistent with the first principles of the celestial epistles governing the unfolding of this astronomical scroll. This is evident in the customary sacred services of Israel, as they conducted their rituals on the northern sides of the Temple and Tabernacle, in observance of their memory of God's dwelling place, in the sides of the north . [ Psalm 48:1-10 ]

v.16 " Inner court of the temple "- Holy of holies which held the Ark of the Covenant and symbolized the presence of God dwelling figuratively in the northern skies, emphasizing the vertical relationship between the Creator and His creation.

" backs turned toward the temple of the lord "-showing not only the contempt these elders of Judah had for God's Word and His Will, but by facing east they had shifted the original emphasis of honoring the Creator, whose presence among His people was signified by the High Priest's annual sacrifice, to honoring the Sun-god , (forbidden in Deut. 4:15-19, Job 31:26-28 ).

" worshipped the sun towards the east "- Astrology , is plainly seen here as a major corrupting & insidious influence on the Temple leaders, evident in their idolatry through the exchange of sun worship in place of the true worship of the Creator, through His only begotten Son. As we have already seen, the Sun was only one figurative portrayal of the promised seed of Israel , but this corruption is consistent withthe foundations of Trinitarian doctrines that dominated the cultural beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks and Romans. Since in each of these instances, the sun incarnate w as worshipped in the form of a human male, this broke the law of Deut. 4:16 , forbidding the idolatry of " making for yourselves [to worship] a graven image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female. " The relation of this portion of the Temple to the great Hallel, and the difference recognized by these faithful believers between these idolatrous roots of Astrology , and the true worship ordained by the Heavenly Father, can be witnessed most lucidly in Edersheim's following reference:

"....The Levites (with instruments of music without number) stood upon the fifteen steps which led down from the Court of Israel to that of the Women, according to the number of the fifteen Songs of Degrees in the Book of Psalms [ Ps. 120-136 ] Two Priests with trumpets in their hands, were at the upper gate (that of Nicanor), which led from the Court of Israel to that of the Women. At cock-crowing, they drew a three-fold blast. As they reached the tenth step, they drew another three-fold blast; as they entered the Court itself, they drew yet another three-fold blast; and so they blew as they advanced, till they reached the gate which opens upon the east (the Beautiful Gate). As they came to the eastern gate, they turned round towards the west (to face the Holy Place), and said: Our fathers who were in this place, they turned their back upon the Sanctuary of Jehovah, and their faces towards the east, and they worshipped towards the rising sun ; but as for us, our eyes are towards the Lord." 15 [ Ezek. 8:16 ]

This tells us the nature of this idolatry based on sun worship , while shedding some light on the association of these the fifteen Songs of Degrees [ Ps. 120-134 ] known as the " Great Hallel, " with the miracle of the Sun going backwards on Ahaz' sundial . This was a sign not only of Hezekiah's personal rescue, but also the liberation of all those dwelling in Jerusalem via the fifteen years added to Hezekiah's life , each year related to one of the 15 Psalms of the Degrees mentioned above, [ Isa. 38 ]. This miraculous healing of King Hezekiah lead to the extension of his progeny that eventually produced Jesus Christ, man's deliverer. The Creator's control of the sun in relation to the Earth's orbit confirms His omnipotent power over these celestial bodies as only a small part of His Creation, no aspect of which deserves worship in place of the Almighty, [ Rom. 1:23-25 ]. This record in Ezekiel 8 thus exposes the decrepit foundations of all forms of Astrology , showing the degree to which this idolatrous substitution had its affect, because each ascending step of the Hallel rite leading up to the Temple altar, was given over to an idol. This lead to the corruption of not only Temple, with all its associated ministers, priests, Sanhedrin, altar and sacrifices, but also the entire nation would be in spiritual darkness as a result.

It is interesting that the Temple area between the porch and the altar is emphasized as having such powerful influence because the actions of the ministry leadership of the 24 courses of priests, had a pervasive effect on the entire nation as they " filled the land with violence ." Idolatry in any form and especially Astrology in this case, will always bring the wrath of God on those who promote its practice. This record in Ezekiel 8 is thus a key indicator of the spiritual health of the nation of Israel at that time, showing the influence of spiritual leaders in any culture. Let's now resume our study of the record of II Chronicles as King Solomon continues with the dedication of the Temple.

II Chronicles 6:10-21

10 The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. 11 And in it have I put the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, that he made with the children of Israel. 12 And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands: 13 For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court : and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven, 14 And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts: 15 Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 16 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. 17 Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David. 18 But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee ; how much less this house which I have built! 19 Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee: 20 That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place. 21 Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.

In verse 13 above, Solomon set the brasen scaffold in the midst of the court , between the altars of the holy place , and the holiest of all. The configuration of these two altars mirror the basic structure of the alignment of Earth's polar axis, as depicted in the graphic [ Figure C .] below. We can see how the geographic and magnetic poles on Earth are reflected in the North Poles of the ecliptic and the Equator , in the heavens as we view the graphic below.

El 1 de mayo esta ubicado en la posicion 0.33 y el 21 de junio en la 0.47 del calendario gregoriano. Aparentemente el 1 de mayo equivale a 8 de sivan y el 21 de junio a 29 de Thamus en el calendario luni-solar hebreo. Otro nexo del 47 es que es en ese capitulo en Isaias adonde se hace referencia a Babilonia. El 29 de Thamus en el calendario luni solar hebreo tambien esta ubicado en la posicion 0.33=118/354.

Es curioso que desde el 8 de marzo hasta el 4 de julio (independencia de EEUU) hay 119 dias (1 de Av) y hasta el 15 de septiembre tenemos 73 dias (fiesta de los Tabernaculos). El ultimo libro de Dan Brown  (Lost symbol) interrelaciona EEUU con el 15 de septiembre.

4:33 Entonces los discípulos decían unos a otros: ¿Le habrá traído alguien de comer? --  Los discípulos -- al igual que Nicodemo y la mujer samaritana -- entendían las palabras de Jesús en su sentido literal. ¿Cómo podían creer que alguien de Samaria le hubiera traído comida?

 

4:34 Jesús les dijo: Mi comida es que haga la voluntad del que me envió, y que acabe su obra. -- 5:30; 6:38; 15:10. Este texto revela claramente que la obra de Cristo era espiritual; como ahora andaba enseñando y convirtiendo gente, pronto iba a morir por ellos para salvar su alma. Jesús no hizo milagros simplemente para llenar estómagos ni para sanar cuerpos enfermos, sino para que la gente creyera que El es el Hijo de Dios, porque la salvación del alma se basa en esa fe (20:31, 31).

 

4:35 ¿No decís vosotros: Aún faltan cuatro meses para que llegue la siega? He aquí os digo: Alzad vuestros ojos y mirad los campos, porque ya están blancos para la siega. -- Ahora Jesús cambia la figura. En lugar de hablar de alimento, emplea la figura de sembrar y segar (Mat. 9:36-38; 13:1-9, 18-23; 13:24-30, 36-43; 13:37). Ya estaba llegando la gente samaritana para ver y oír a Jesús (ver. 30) y de ellos El habló ("alzad vuestros ojos y mirad los campos, porque ya están blancos para la siega"). Normalmente en ese país la cosecha requería seis meses, y en ese momento todavía faltaban cuatro meses, pero para Jesús ya había llegado el tiempo de la cosecha en Samaria, una cosecha mil veces más valiosa que la cosecha de grano. (Con razón el trabajo de Felipe llevó mucho fruto entre ellos, Hech. 8:5-12).

          Al visitar a una ciudad grande ¿qué vemos? ¿Solamente los rascacielos, muchos vehículos y toda clase de mercancía? ¿Vemos a la gente como pecadores perdidos, como almas preciosas? Hech. 18:10, "Yo tengo mucho pueblo en esta ciudad" (Corinto).

 

4:36 Y el que siega recibe salario, y recoge fruto para vida eterna, --  La salvación de almas es la recompensa de la cual Jesús habla. "El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del Hombre" (Mat. 13:37) y la estaba sembrando ese mismo día en Samaria. Su salario era el fruto que cosechaba. Compárese Mat. 18:15, "ganar" al hermano (¿habrá ganancia que valga más que esta?) Pablo exhortó a los filipenses a que siguieran fieles, "asidos de la palabra de vida, para que en el día de Cristo yo pueda gloriarme de que no he corrido en vano, ni en vano he trabajado" (Fil. 2:16). "Así que, hermanos míos amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, estad así firmes en el Señor, amados" (Fil. 4:1). "Porque, ¿cuál es nuestra esperanza, o gozo, o corona de que me gloríe? ¿No lo sois vosotros, delante de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, en su venida. Vosotros sois nuestra gloria y gozo" (1 Tes. 2:19, 20).

          La fiesta de Pentecostés era la fiesta de la cosecha. Dios escogió esta ocasión para la cosecha de tres mil almas (Hech. 2:41).

          Muchos textos hablan de la bendición que reciben los que ganan almas (Prov. 11:30; Dan. 12:3; Sant. 5:19, 20).

          Si el tiempo de la cosecha física es tiempo gozoso (Deut. 16:13-15; Sal. 126: 5, 6; Isa. 9:3), ¡cuánto más gozoso es el tiempo de la cosecha espiritual!

          -- para que el que siembra goce juntamente con el que siega. -- Este es el plan divino y es muy alentador. Según este plan todo obrero del Señor participa de la gloriosa siega. La cosecha no pertenece solamente al segador, sino también al sembrador; no hay competencia entre el sembrador y el segador, porque los dos están perfectamente unidos en la obra y ante los ojos de Dios, el sembrar es tan importante como el segar y los dos se gozarán (serán recompensados).

          Normalmente el sembrar es trabajo laborioso como dice el Sal. 126:5, 6, "Los que sembraron con lágrimas, con regocijo segarán. Irá andando y llorando el que lleva la preciosa semilla; mas volverá a venir con regocijo, trayendo sus gavillas", pero en el campo espiritual el sembrador se goza con el segador. Compárese lo que dice Amós 9:13, "He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que el que ara alcanzará al segador, y el pisador de las uvas al que lleve la simiente"; es decir, el sembrar y el segar serían acciones simultáneas. Esto indica el crecimiento rápido de los cultivos. Las personas sinceras -- las que tengan hambre y sed de justicia -- llegan muy pronto al conocimiento de la verdad y, de esa manera, casi son simultáneos el sembrar y el segar.

          En el Día Final no habrá discusión acerca de quién haya sembrado o de quién haya segado para efectuar la conversión de almas.

 

4:37 Porque en esto es verdadero el dicho: Uno es el que siembra, y otro es el que siega. -- 1 Cor. 3:6. En esta ocasión Jesús sembró y los apóstoles participaron en la siega. Jesús y sus discípulos segaron discípulos ganados por Juan el bautista, y comenzando el día de Pentecostés, los apóstoles cosecharon discípulos enseñados por Juan y Jesús. Muchas veces hay conversiones durante una semana de servicios especiales que son el resultado no solamente de la predicación de esa semana, sino también de la enseñanza paciente de los miembros de la iglesia.

          Lo verdadero del proverbio se ve en muchos textos. "Por ejemplo, un hombre puede segar donde no ha sembrado (Deut. 6:11; Josué 24:13), o puede ser que un sembrador nunca experimente la alegría de segar lo que ha plantado (Deut. 28:30; Job 31:8; Miq. 6:15): algún otro puede hacer la siega. Pero en el campo espiritual lo normal es que un hombre siegue donde otro ha sembrado" (GH).

          Todo siervo de Dios debe recordar que su obra de sembrar la buena semilla nunca es en vano (1 Cor. 15:58). Según el plan de Dios la obra es una, y el sembrador comparte con el segador.

          En muchos casos la siega de un alma es el resultado de mucha siembra; es decir, muchos están involucrados: padres y otros parientes cristianos, vecinos y otros compañeros cristianos (p. ej., los del trabajo o de la escuela). Las clases bíblicas a las que muchos jóvenes han asistido desde la niñez tienen mucho que ver con su conversión. La literatura que haya leído, la predicación por radio que haya escuchado, las clases en el hogar que haya asistido, etc. tienen que ver con la conversión. En fin, muchas personas y muchas cosas tienen su parte en la conversión de almas.

 

4:38 Yo os he enviado a segar lo que vosotros no labrasteis; otros labraron, y vosotros habéis entrado en sus labores. -- Moisés, los profetas y otros hombres fieles habían sembrado mucha simiente entre el pueblo de Israel aun durante los días de su apostasía. Entonces Juan el bautista había persuadido a muchas personas a arrepentirse. En esta misma ocasión Jesús había sembrado la simiente en el corazón de la mujer samaritana y ella la estaba sembrando entre los otros del pueblo.
