The latest episode of Templar Knight TV looks at claims the Knights Templar got to America. It’s alleged they managed to do this a hundred years before Christopher Columbus reached the New World. But is there any truth to this?
The story starts with the Templars’ demise. It’s 1307 and they are being rounded up, imprisoned and some are burned to death. Little wonder some Knights Templar may have fled. A popular theory runs that when word got out that they were doomed, some knights transported treasure from the Paris Temple to the port of La Rochelle. From there, ships took the surviving Templars to Scotland. And then what happened?
Well, I was involved in a programme last year called America Unearthed presented by Scott Wolter. He is a forensic geologist and his analysis of rock carvings in the United States and Scotland has convinced him the knights made the long journey. With the help of a Scottish aristocrat called Henry Sinclair, they crossed the Atlantic to Nova Scotia.
As you will all know, proof that the Knights Templar got to America is offered in the form of items found at Oak Island in Nova Scotia; an enigmatic tower at Newport, Rhode Island and what is claimed to be the engraving of a knight in Westford, Massachusetts. But sceptics abound. They’re not convinced by the Money Pit at Oak Island, think the Newport Tower is a 17th century windmill and that the Westford Knight is a trick of the eye on a glacial boulder.
As for the Sinclair connection, sceptics point out that these Scottish nobles testified against the Templars at their trial. Far from being good friends and allies of the knights, they had little sympathy and turned on them in their hour of need.
Nevertheless, the argument rages on that the Knights Templar got to America. I go to Rosslyn chapel where some have pointed to images that look like maize – a crop that didn’t exist in the Old World before Columbus. And in the basement sacristy, lines on the wall are claimed to be a map. I had exclusive access when the chapel was empty to film for myself and you can see what I found.

The Mars monolith is a rectangular object discovered on the surface of Mars. It is located near the bottom of a cliff, from which it likely fell. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter took pictures of it from orbit, roughly 180 miles away.
Apparently the silver Monolith discovered in Utah's Red Rock desert is part of a family of monoliths, distributed throughout our Solar System by another civilization for some unknown purpose. Either that or it's moving around through our solar system, phasing into different locations at different times.
The monolith (or monoliths), has previously been sighted by Nasa's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on Mars and one of its moons, Phobos.

This of course calls to mind the 2001: A Space Odyssey, where a black monolith is found buried on the moon. Then an astronaut named Dave travels to Jupiter, only to find a black monolith in orbit for thousands of years.
The Phobos monolith was a large pillar located on the surface of Mars's moon Phobos. It measured about 279 ft across and 300 feet in height--significantly bigger than the Utah Monolith.
The Mars monolith is a bright object near Stickney crater, described as a "building sized" boulder, which casts a prominent shadow. It was discovered by Efrain Palermo, who did extensive surveys of Martian probe imagery, and later confirmed by Lan Fleming, an imaging sub-contractor at NASA Johnson Space Center.
"A monolith is a geological feature consisting of a single massive piece of rock. Monoliths also occur naturally on Earth, but it has been suggested that the Phobos monolith may be a piece of impact ejecta," claims Wikipedia. But we know better.
The general vicinity of Phobos' monolith is a proposed landing site by Optech and the Mars Institute, for a robotic mission to Phobos known as PRIME (Phobos Reconnaissance and International Mars Exploration).
The PRIME mission would be composed of an orbiter and lander, and each would carry four instruments designed to study various aspects of Phobos' geology. At present, PRIME has not been funded and does not have a projected launch date. Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin has spoken about the Phobos monolith and his support for a mission to Phobos.
The object appears in Mars Global Surveyor images SPS252603 and SPS255103, dated 1998. The object may be related to another monolith located on the surface of Mars, which NASA noted as an example of a common surface feature in that region. In fact, all three monoliths may be related structures left by an unknown civilization, for us Earthlings to discover and wonder about. Or perhaps they're just rocks.
Deep in the Mars-like landscape of Utah's red-rock desert lies a mystery: a gleaming metal monolith in one of the most remote parts of the state.
The smooth, tall column was found during a helicopter survey of bighorn sheep in southeastern Utah, officials said Monday.
A crew from the Utah Department of Public Safety and Division of Wildlife Resources spotted the gleaming object from the air on Nov. 18 and landed to check it out during a break from their work.
They found the three-sided stainless-steel object is about as tall as two men put together. But they discovered no clues about who might have driven it into the ground among the undulating red rocks or why.
“This thing is not from another world,” said Lt. Nick Street of the Utah Highway Patrol, part of the Department of Public Safety.
Still, it's clear that it took some planning and work to construct the 10- to 12-foot (3- to 4-meter) monolith and embed it in the rock.
The exact location is so remote that officials are not revealing it publicly, worried that people might get lost or stranded trying to find it and need to be rescued.
The monolith evokes the one that appears in the Stanley Kubrick movie “2001: A Space Odyssey." It is illegal to place art objects without authorization on federal public land, which is where the tower is located.
Others remarked on its discovery during a turbulent year that has seen the world gripped by the COVID-19 pandemic, and optimistically speculated it could have a different function entirely.
"This is the 'reset' button for 2020. Can someone please press it quickly?" joked one Instagram user.
"Up close it reads: 'Covid vaccine inside,'" wrote another.
Bureau of Land Management officials are investigating how long it has been there, who might have created it and whether to remove it.
First, the summer of 2001 was, like in 2003, marked by a Martian close encounter. It was during June, instead of August, that the Mars 'flyby' took place. Not as spectacular as that of 2003, but the Red Planet was a prominent light in the night sky. On June 13-14 (2001), Mars was at 'opposition' (i.e. 180 degrees away from the Sun) and it made its closest approach to Earth several days later on June 21.

On the same day, June 21, there was a total solar eclipse - as if to commemorate the Martian visit. In fact, June 21 was even the day of summer solstice (midsummer)!
So, while not as historic, the 2001 Mars opposition closely preceding the events of 9/11 was spectacular - or in hindsight 'ominous' - in its own way.
It still 'missed' 9/11 by about 3 months... Actually, it did not miss. It hit the bull's-eye perfectly - in a coded form:
September 11Gregorian corresponds to 'Thoth 1' (New Year's Day) of the Egyptian calendar which was originally marked by the heliacal/dawn rising of Sirius. In the early phase of the ancient Egyptian civilization the Sirius rising (accompanied by the annual Nile flood) coincided with the summer solstice. It was a 'magical' day that the Egyptians naturally used to anchor their calendar. So by highlighting June 21 (i.e. Gregorian summer solstice), the special Mars opposition event in 2001 conceptually pinpointed September 11, the historical/Egyptian summer-solstice date!
On 9/11, there was another remarkable combination of summer solstice, Mars, and the Moon (i.e. all the key players of the June 21 alignment except the Sun). As the earthshaking events of 9/11 were unfolding on the planet, up in the heavens was observed the following configuration: 1) the Moon was at the summer-solstice point (i.e. where the Sun would be on the midsummer day); 2) Mars was positioned exactly 180 degrees away from the Moon on the opposite side of the sky, closely marking the winter-solstice point; and 3) consequently there was a tight Mars-Earth-Moon alignment bridging the two solstice points!
As the above illustrations show, the solstice points today are neatly indicated by the intersections of the apparent path of the Sun ('ecliptic', green line) and the Milky Way ('galactic equator', blue band). This arrangement is coincidental/temporary and is thus astronomically quite special. Some view these points as something akin to 'stargates'.
Now, the prophetic quality of all this dramatically increases as we progress forward (from 9/11/01). Mars opposition occurs approximately every 26 months, so the Sun-Earth-Mars alignment would be established again in the summer of 2003 - specifically on Aug. 28. As already discussed, it seemed to have 'anticipated' the 'Martian' event of Schwarzenegger entering politics on August 6. The same type of code was used here since Aug. 6 is or represents the actual day on which Sirius' heliacal rising occurs in our epoch. Through Sirius, June 21, Sept. 11, and Aug. 6 are but different expressions of the same archetypal date!
This calendrical link is reinforced by one of Schwarzenegger's nicknames being 'The Oak'. In pagan tradition, the 'Oak King' is associated with midsummer which is also reflected in the fact that the Christian version of the Oak King, John the Baptist, has his feast day on June 24, intended to mark the summer solstice (~June 21).
Similarly, Jesus Christ's birthday is celebrated on Christmas in mid-December to mark the winter solstice. The summer and winter solstices represent two opposite calendrical/spatial points. This makes John the Baptist (Oak King) the anti-Jesus, or 'anti-Christ'. Hence Schwarzenegger 'The Oak', whose political rise on Aug. 6 was marked by the Sirius rising associated with midsummer, would also share the ominous epithet. And why not, he's already the 'Terminator'... after all.

The "Golden Apple" allusion represents a time arrow pointing ahead to the "Golden Apple Alignment" in mid Octoberright before Martian (almost) Deep Impact day.
[NOTE: Orange/Golden Apple Alignments are typically (but not always) time markers for major "earth changes" events such as earthquakes, as well as papal events, etc. And it's been my observation after nearly a decade of closely tracking these alignments that when Earth joins an Orange Alignment, the energy is amplified. That's what we'll have with the upcoming Orange/Golden Apple Alignment (mid Oct 2014).]
The Cydonia/Face on Mars allusion is even more revealing... starting with the fact that the Face can transform into a (reverse) sphinx, with a lion head and a human (pregnant) body:
In the sky, the Great Sphinx has a counterpart in the form of the constellation Leo. And there was a remarkable "omen" there earlier this year, right on the vernal/March equinox (March 20)... or the exact day the gaze of the Great Sphinxaligned with sunrise.
After 2012, After Earth Mars One & SpaceX a match made in heaven?

PREFACE: The following was originally written & posted on October 21, 2012 (in STRUG). Now that Mars One has officially commenced the process of selecting candidates to be trained as astronauts to go on a one-way trip to Mars, I thought I'd post it here on Etemenanki at this time.
It's been a huge meme (though not as intense in recent months) that 2012 is destined to be a year of big things, big shifts, end of the world, and/or birth of a new age. All kinds of speculations and hype... And yet, when "it" actually happens, few seem to recognize it. It's happening right in front of us, and it doesn't click for most. Such is the power of preconceptions. What we see is limited or enhanced by our expectations. So the less assumptions we make, the more we'll be able to "see". We can take it one step further using "multicontextual coherence" which helps us properly adjust our focus in advance so our "radar" can quickly detect signs of a future manifestation, patterns taking on physical forms. It gives us a firm enough perceptual and logical framework for the process of "reverse-engineering" the future.
For us, this multicontextual "foundation" for the year 2012 and beyond has been the intertwined triple-headed theme of Royal/Martian pregnancy/birth(quake). (The golden apple/Trojan War motif is a sub-theme integrated into the larger pattern.) This has allowed us to readily discern the momentous implications of the advent of commercial spaceflight, quietly erupting like a volcano, in 2012... particularly via SpaceX.
The "Transit Rituals" of 2012 [aka "SpaceX Marks the Spot"] have been especially revealing, showing us a dramatic "passing of the torch" from NASA (space shuttles) to private enterprise (SpaceX etc.), signifying a pivotal transition from a stagnant era dominated by government space agencies to a fully revitalized space age of commercial endeavors.
The central role played by SpaceX serves to reiterate the Martian nature of this history-making process. SpaceX, after all, was founded by Elon Musk to send humans to Mars (and go there himself) ultimately. We are talking about the beginning of the first space colony in history. This is a huge deal, one of the biggest moments for mankind, so much so our timeline (time river) itself bifurcates right here in the 21st century. One terrestrial, and another extraterrestrial (Mars and such). Seeds starting to spread like those of a dandelion on a windy day. Once out, no turning back. History went from B.C. to A.D., and now we are going through another "time gate"... to, let's call it, A.E., "After Earth".
"Death", "Conception", "Pregnancy" then "Birth". That's the timeless cycle about to unfold again via Mars, and to be reflected microcosmically in the pregnancy/birth of the "Martian Baby" of Prince William & Kate. Macro and micro, as above, so below, as always. [UPDATE: Please remember that this was written before the Dec 3rd royal pregnancy announcement.]
We are also likely going to see a huge "Birthquake" as another reflection of the cosmic (re-)birth. Or it's certainly possible that the 2011 Japanese mega-quake fulfilledthis aspect of the pattern already. Difficult to say. [...]
In case you are not familiar, Mars One was just announced in June 2012, an audacious project to send humans to Mars on a one-way trip and broadcast it all live as a reality-TV show to help fund the whole thing! [video introduction]
It has all the key ingredients and fits the "2012" pattern beautifully. But unlike SpaceX which has been rapidly accumulating experience and reputation, Mars One seems a little farfetched and too abrupt to be a realistic project. Or that was probably people's initial reaction in general.
Back in June, Mars One was still "in talks" with various interested private companies, including SpaceX. But things have changed. It is moving forward. Recently Mars One announced receiving enough funding to initiate the next phase of the project, which is the astronaut selection process scheduled for 2013! But what I personally see as a game changer is their decision to partner with SpaceX. Mars One now plans to use SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket and a variant of the Dragon spacecraft (both still in development) to send supplies, rovers and humans to the Red Planet... starting in 2016! Yes, now it actually sounds [more] realistic. And it's ridiculously exciting!
UPDATE: In December 2012, Mars One had a meeting with SpaceX "where they discussed the timeline and financial conditions to purchase a 2016 launch and landing on Mars."

A media event (reality show) of the millennium featuring Mars One and SpaceX... [...] This could be how the world ends and how the new world begins! And it [may be] starting right now. The reality TV show is starting as early as next year, 2013. So this is getting very real very fast. If it manages to keep moving forward... well, mankind will have never seen anything like this.

2023: The first colonists will arrive on Mars in a modified Dragon capsule
2025: A second group of four colonists will arrive
2033: The colony will reach 20 settlers

The first "moment of truth" will come in 2016 when Mars One/SpaceX launches their first supply (unmanned) mission to Mars. (Notice how this might coincide with Marco Rubio/"Mars Red" becoming president [or vice president] of the United States.) If successful, we are going to see the beginning of a real "Mars fever" on this planet - an excitement that will eventually match and surpass that of the Moon race half a century ago.
Think about it. Going to Mars is exciting enough, streaming it all live is exciting enough, but this will all culminate in a one-way trip to Mars for the "lucky" four astronauts. Can you imagine the the intensity of all the drama that will surely surround the insanely historic launch? It will be surreal. And that's only about a decade away (2023). That's like from 9/11 to now. That's not a very long time to wait. I'm sure some of you have been following my work longer than that!
This is [the stuff that would] change the world. Indeed, what we are seeing right now is the end of the world as we know it. Once we start going off-planet (beyond low-earth orbit), all bets are off, the floodgate is wide open, and everything changes very rapidly. Welcome to the Brave New World.
Given the aforementioned timeline, we can multicontextually infer that the "Martian baby" - via Prince William & Kate - will be born in 2013 as well, coinciding with the first phase of Mars One. [UPDATE: It is now confirmed that Kate's baby will be born in 2013.] This may also potentially produce a severe "Birthquake" such as the "Big One" on the west coast of the United States.
I still can't get over how brilliant this partnership forged between Mars One and SpaceX is. It's perfect. Elon Musk/SpaceX was prepared to go it alone, but their logistics calculation had to take into account a return trip. Escaping a planetary gravity well is no easy task requiring a lot of energy. Cutting that energy (as well as supply) requirement in roughly half would be a game-changer. And that's exactly what Mars One brought to the table with their one-way trip (colony) model. Add to it the exciting use of a reality-TV show for funding purposes, suddenly it seems quite feasible to send humans to Mars in just over a decade! SpaceX wanted to reduce energy/supply requirements and overall cost, Mars One needed technical expertise, experience, cheap rockets and spacecraft to carry their crew. They complemented each other perfectly. While SpaceX could have gone alone (and they still might), it would have taken a few years longer to clear the hurdle made higher by the extra (return trip) stuff. Now, working with Mars One, we are [plausibly] looking at 2023 for the next "giant leap for mankind."
Can you feel the "Destiny" in the air?
If there is still a big missing piece of the puzzle, that might just be... mining. If we discover valuable minerals on Mars, it will give us a solid long-term business rationale for having a continuous human presence on that planet, ensuring that the colonization process will move forward unlike what happened with the Moon. [...]
Perhaps it's already starting... via Curiosity, which specializes in analyzing the Martian soil. [...] Curiosity may not find life, but if it manages to detect valuable minerals... that'll be a game changer too. There's immediately going to be a mainstream commercial interest in going to Mars.
Or perhaps mining Mars will begin after the Mars One rovers/colonists discover something valuable there.
There is also "Planetary Resources", a private company announced again just this year [2012], planning to mine asteroids which we can imagine may come into play as well.
