El hambre y la falta de
oportunidades, al igual que la privación de los demás derechos y libertades, han
sido las causas de que muchos de nuestros hermanos sientan o piensen que
escapar  de la tierra que los vio   nacer,  aun a riesgo de
sus vidas,  es su única opción.  Que esto nos sirva para reflexionar y
nunca  dejar de luchar por el futuro de nuestros hijos. Desde Cuba, 
nos solidarizamos con el clamor de los que sufren.

Hunger and lack of opportunities, as well as the privacy of
other rights and freedoms, have caused a lot of our brothers to feel and think
that leaving the homeland, even risking their lives, is their only option. Let
this serve as motive to reflect and never abandon the fight for the future of
our children. From Cuba, we express our solidarity with the outcry of those who
suffer.
