A continuación una serie de ejemplos (y les aseguramos que la lista es tan sólo una muestra limitada) de proyectos financiados por fundaciones privadas de EE. UU. como la de los Rockefeller y la Ford Foundation, estigmatizadas para "los demás" pero no para el régimen de Castro. Desgraciadamente la información está en inglés y he decidido dejarla como está, exactamente, en su idioma original.

John F. Kennedy Library Works Toward Preservation of Hemingway Papers in Cuba
The Rockefeller Foundation has awarded $75,000 to the American Council of Learned Societies/Social Science Research Council Working Group on Cuba to fund an initial one-year phase of a two to three year initiative intended to promote preservation and conservation of an important collection of Ernest Hemingway's papers that remain in Cuba. The Working Group on Cuba will manage the grant and the project in close collaboration with its Standing Committee on Cuban Libraries and Archives and an advisory council composed of those who envisaged the project and negotiated its early stages. Central partner institutions include the Hemingway Museum outside of Havana, the Center for Research Libraries in Chicago, the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston, the National Archives of Cuba and the Jose Marti National Library of Cuba, the National Council of Cuban Cultural Patrimony, and the Cuban Ministry of Culture. The Northeast Document Conservation Center will help to carry out the preservation training and oversee work at the Finca Vigia, Hemingway's former residence located on the outskirts of Havana...
Once this project is complete, the Kennedy Library will work with the Cuban curators in broadening access as much as possible by cataloging the materials and making the descriptions available at the Library. As part of the initial effort in cooperating with Cuba to obtain copies of Hemingway materials for the Kennedy Library, Television Cubana gave the Library footage of Hemingway-previously unseen in the United States-being interviewed in Cuba shortly after receiving the Nobel Prize.

WITH the aim of building alliances, generating resources, sharing knowledge and good practices, and effectively boosting HIV/AIDS work in the Caribbean, the UN System in Cuba has offered to be the center of a regional network to boost efforts against this pandemic, as stated in the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
Bruno Moro, UN resident coordinator on the island, presented this proposal at an international meeting on HIV/AIDS sponsored by the Harvard University School of Medicine in the United States; the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), via its Alliance Against HIV/AIDS (PANCAP); and the Cuban Pedro Kourí Institute of Tropical Medicine (IPK), where the event was held from March 28-29. The Rockefeller Foundation—through the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies—also funded this meeting...
For five years, first by financing from the MacArthur Foundation and then with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, Castro pointed out, Harvard University has been able to maintain close ties with Cuban institutions, such as the IPK, in sectors including health, public policies, humanities and urban planning...

Todo el mundo sabe que Hemimgway era un escritor yanqui. Ese dinero lo gestionará el "Cuba working Group" que como puede Ud. ver en http://ciponline.org/cuba/uspolicy/senateworkinggroup.htm está formado por un grupo de senadores yanquis, que están en contra del bloqueo y de la OFAC ( oficina del Tesoro que se encarga de que en Cuba no entre un dolar, veala aquí: http://www.treas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/ De momento está lleno de "will" ( de futuro) y el dinero sigue en USA Creo que en Mayo de este año el gobierno USA autorizó que un grupo de arquitectos USA viajaran a Cuba para rehabilitar la finca en este verano. No le veo mucho parecdio con que una entidad del gobierno yanqui financie a un periódico anticubano, editado en territorio yanqui, que se dedica a recoger a su vez noticias de otra prensa similar o noticias aisladas que favorezcan sus intereses. | A veces , cuando leo que hay "un proyecto" por el que unos yanquis van a dar dinero a otros yanquis , que otros yanquis controlarán, para dar a conocer a yanquis la obra de otro yanqui y que eso es equiparable a unos miles de dolares entregados directamente a un "periódico" y se llama: Ejemplos de proyectos de la dictadura financiados x fundac.privadas Me lo tengo que leer dos veces y una buena copa de brandy ayudaría a digerirlo, pero acabaría borracho si hiciera eso con cada escrito que veo. epa caray.... no embalde este companero siempre cuando le ponen algo serio el ron baratico que conzume lo hace hacer esas cosas,por mas que lee no se le mete en el coco, el sudconciente no lo deja,seguro que piensa que los estan espiando o quizas le recortan el chequecito que recibe de la embajada,tu sabe eso es como los bonos de alimento que seguro tambien recibe....... |

| Es que Elpidio, mi hijo, a Cuba no llega un peso de esa "ayuda" hasta tu que eres medio parao debías darte cuenta y si lees la web esa en inglés verás que es para "acercar al yanqui la obra de Hemingway". Si te parece envío yo unos euros a La habana, para que fotocopien unas cartas de hemingway y te las envíen a tí o a un guajiro de Idaho, para que le conozcan. Y si el Museo, algún día recibe un dolar, para eso será, Elpidoopara el publico yanqui, si te molestas veras que está bien lo de La Vigía. Pero para que llegase un dolar a Guanabacoa tendría que pasar: -Que tito Bush levantase las prohibiciones. -Que el dinero no lo gestionase los gusanitos en Miami, no llegaba ni un centavo, ¡ y contentos estaríamos los cubanos si no pagamos encima! Hala, gusanito, a reptar. |
