Los cuatro autores de los Evangelios (San Mateo, San Marcos, San Lucas y San Juan) han sido relacionados simbólicamente con los cuatro seres vivientes del Apocalipsis 4,7:

SECRETO MASONICO › Cine y masonería Desde los años 40, la masonería ha aparecido con inusitada frecuencia en un buen número de filmes. En ocasiones la aparición de la masonería ha sido fugaz, pero en otras se ha situado en el centro de la trama. Con el paso de los años, las productoras se han ido interesando por la masonería, no en vano tiene algunos elementos muy “fotogénicos”: el ser una sociedad, más o menos, discreta, el disponer de una iconografía que a muchos se les antoja inquietante y el estar envuelta en cierto misterio. Como mínimo ocho presidentes de los EEUU en el siglo XX, han sido masones: William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, Warren Harding, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson o Gerald Ford. El mismo presidente Clinton perteneció a una asociación de hijos de masones. EEUU es el único país del mundo en el que la masonería tiene un poder absorbente y está presente en algunas de las instituciones más importantes del país, en especial en el Pentágono. Pero también en Hollywood, tradicionalmente, siempre ha existido un buen número de actores y directores que pertenezcan a la orden. Así pueden entenderse los guiños de algunas películas producidas en Hollywood y los argumentos de otras. La masonería está presente en Hollywood. ¿Qué tienen en común Clark Gable, Glenn Ford, John Wayne, Peter Sellers, Oliver Hardy, Harold Lloyd, Harpo Marx, Mario Moreno “Cantinflas” o Telly Savalas? Todos son actores, en efecto, pero hay algo más: todos ellos, un buen día de su vida, desfilaron con la pernera izquierda del pantalón arremangado y el hombro izquierdo descubierto, con los ojos vendados, ante logias masónicas regularmente constituidas. En efecto, todos ellos fueron iniciados en la masonería. Y son sólo unos nombres extraídos al azar. Hubo y hay muchos más. Para sus miembros, la masonería es un grupo que busca el perfeccionamiento del ser humano. Para sus detractores, una oscura sociedad que protagoniza desde conspiraciones hasta tráfico de influencias. Como siempre, la verdad ni es completamente blanca ni negra, sino que está hecha de matices grises y claroscuros. No es pues éste el momento de realizar un balance crítico de la masonería, sino solamente recordar en las páginas de cine de IdentidaD, unas cuentas películas que han tocado algunos aspectos de la sociedad. “Fuerzas ocultas”: la iniciación masónica filmada En 1943, Francia estaba ocupada, en buena medida por las tropas del III Reich. Muchos franceses habían decidido colaborar con el ocupante o bien con el Mariscal Petain en la zona donde se mantuvo una administración francesa. En los 10 años anteriores, desde que estalló a finales de 1933, el “escándalo Stavisky” (una estafa piramidal protagonizado por un ciudadano de origen judío en el que se vieron envueltos varios miembros de la masonería francesa), la derecha francesa había adoptado una fuerte actitud antimasónica. Henry Marqués- Riviére, realizó un guión para Nova Films que sería protagonizado por Maurice Remy y dirigido por Paul Riche; su título era significativo: Fuerzas Ocultas. Las primeras escenas de la película fueron rodadas dentro de la Asamblea Francesa: los diputados graznan y aúllan, como animales de un zoológico. Uno de los diputados parece decir algo razonable: pide la unión de los franceses por encima de los partidos, más allá de la derecha y de la izquierda, exige un esfuerzo por alcanzar un régimen de justicia social. Su actitud llama la atención de otros diputados masones que le invitan a ingresar en la logia. Duda, pero finalmente, ignorando exactamente qué era la masonería, termina integrándose. Lo esencial de la película –y lo que la justifica– es precisamente, que, por primera vez se reprodujo una ceremonia de iniciación masónica, con todo detalle, algo inédito hasta entonces. Marqués-Riviére podía reproducirla porque él mismo había sido iniciado en las logias a finales de los años 20. Algo teatral en su ejecución, la película muestra lo que ocurre en el interior de las logias cuando se cierran las puertas. La liturgia masónica, fielmente reproducida, suscitó en la época adhesiones incondicionales y odios profundos. La moraleja de la película es que no hay que entrar en lo que no se conoce. El diputado iniciado, poco después de jurar lealtad a la logia, es requerido para apoyar un tráfico de influencias, algo a lo que no está dispuesto en absoluto. El hombre que pudo reinar: el mejor Kipling En los siguientes 30 años, la masonería apenas apareció en el cine. A pesar de todo, esa época, de 1945 a 1975, es el período dorado en el que más actores miembros de la masonería aparecen en superproducciones. Pero no será hasta ese año, 1975, cuando se unen tres elementos: una interpretación excepcional, un guión original de envergadura y una ejecución esmerada. Con estos tres elementos, no es raro que El hombre que pudo reinar constituyera un éxito cinematográfico y aún hoy no haya perdido nada de su frescura. La película está basada en la obra de mismo nombre escrita por Rudyard Kipling, él mismo francmasón. Interpretada por el dúo Michael Caine – Sean Connery, ambos en el cenit de su fama, y con Christopher Plummer en el papel de Kipling, consiguen uno de las mejores interpretaciones de la historia del cine. La película es relativamente fiel a la novela de Kypling y se desarrolla en el actual Afganistán, demostrándonos que aquel país no ha cambiado nada en 125 años. Caine y Connery, sargentos mayores del ejército británico destacado en la India, son masones y, de paso, aventureros, vividores y estafadores. Pero tienen un extraño sentido masónico de la lealtad y traban amistad con el también masón Kipling ante el cual firman su proyecto de convertirse en reyes del Kafiristán. El llevar colgada del cuello la escuadra y el compás, les facilitará la tarea pues, no en vano, es el símbolo que dejó Alejandro Magno en la fabulosa ciudad de Iskandar fundada por él. En la película aparecen por primera vez en el cine algunos símbolos y frases de reconocimiento utilizados por la masonería. John Huston, dueño del lenguaje cinematográfico, fue el artífice de esta gran película. Sherlock Holmes versus el Jack el Destripador El éxito de la película de Huston todavía no se había disipado cuando Bob Clark, director sobrio y buen artesano, lanzó un imaginativo producto que aunaba el interés por la personalidad de Sherlock Holmes – que siempre ha ocupado por derecho propio un lugar particular en la historia del cine- y el morbo por los asesinatos de Sherlock Holmes. Hacía poco que Billy Wilder había lanzado su extraordinaria Vida privada de Sherlock Holmes y faltaban todavía unos años para que el tema de Jack el Destripador se convirtiera en remake habitual en los años 80 y 90 con media docena de títulos, todos ellos de singular interés (desde Jack el destripador con Michael Caine, Armand Asante y Jane Seymour, hasta Desde el infierno con Jhonny Deep). Pero nadie había intentado una síntesis entre el personaje literario creado por Conan Doyle (francmasón, dicho sea de paso) y el mito del crimen, Jack el Destripador. Bob Clark se atrevió. Imaginemos qué ocurriría si la investigación sobre los crímenes de Whitechapel en el misérrimo East End londinense de finales del XIX, hubiera sido encargada a Sherlock Holmes. Indudablemente, el pintoresco detective habría llegado hasta el final y desenmarañado la trama urdida en torno a los truculentos crímenes. A poco de irrumpir en la investigación, Holmes –interpretado por Christopher Plummer- percibe que una sociedad secreta está implicada en los crímenes. Para él, las crueles incisiones realizadas por el asesino reproducen las que Hiram Abi, el arquitecto del Templo de Salomón, recibió de los “tres hermanos”: Jubelas, Jubelos y Jubelum, los “tres jewes” que, en la época, se confundió con “tres judíos”. Holmes realiza ante las cámaras los gestos rituales, los saludos y signos de reconocimiento con los responsables de la investigación. De hecho, es rigurosamente cierto que Scotland Yard, la policía británica, históricamente siempre ha tenido un número inusualmente alto de francmasones y si un funcionario quiere prosperar dentro de la institución siempre se le recomendará ingresar en logia. Finalmente, la propia masonería resuelve el problema de uno de sus miembros, enloquecido –que resultará ser Jack el Destripador- realizándole una precisa lobotomía. La Búsqueda: el apogeo de lo secreto En 2004 una película sabrá interpretar el nuevo clima de la época generado tras los atentados del 11-S: algo no encaja, una verdad oculta parece escapar de las crónicas de los diarios, como si algo bullera entre bambalinas y no entendiéramos lo que ocurre porque no estamos al corriente de la acción de las “fuerzas ocultas”. Éstas han existido siempre, así pues vale la pena mirar atrás para intentar percibir su influencia y su radio de acción. En ese contacto generado entre 2001 y 2004, aparece la primera entrega de La Búsqueda, a la que seguirá una secuela tres años después, del mismo carácter. La masonería ha tenido una gran influencia en los EEUU desde su fundación. La mayor parte de los firmantes de la Declaración de Independencia eran masones y el propio George Washington aparece en la iconografía de aquel país, con el mandil masónico. La película nos cuenta que el tesoro de los templarios, por indecibles caminos, llegó a los EEUU y allí fue custodiada por los “padres de la independencia” que, finalmente, lo escondieron… pero dejaron algunas pistas que el protagonista, Nicolas Cage –que realiza también una de sus habituales actuaciones inexpresivas- sigue hasta, por supuesto, encontrarlo. La película, en el fondo, se hace eco de la tradición defendida por cierta masonería de tener un origen templario. Los símbolos masónicos aparecerán a lo largo de toda la película y las referencias a personajes históricos de la orden. La segunda parte, La Búsqueda: el diario secreto, irá en la misma dirección e incluso será algo más dinámica girando en torno a otro misterio de la historia norteamericana: el asesinato de Lincoln. Las referencias a la masonería están más atenuadas pero se alude a la carta de la Reina Victoria de Inglaterra al General Albert Pike que será uno de los grandes maestres de la masonería norteamericana al que el mistificador “Leo Taxil” considerará en sus libelos antimasónicos como el primer servidor de Satanás en la masonería. La película cita también la figura de Frederic Bartholdi, el escultor masónico que diseño la Estatua de la Libertad y que, según el filme, debió dejar una pista de dónde está oculto en nuevo tesoro buscado por el inexpresivo Cage. La Liga de los Hombres Extraordinarios Allan Moore y Kevin O’Neill realizaron un cómic en el que reunieron a todos los iconos de las novelas de terror de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Ahí estaban todos: era la Liga de los Hombres Extraordinarios. Ahí están el profesor Alan Quatermain, típico explorador británico, Mina Harker, protagonista femenino del Drácula de Stocker, convertida ya en vampira, el Capitán Nemo, personaje de Julio Verne, presentado como hindú, el dúo Jekyll/Hyde, el hombre invisible, el mismísimo Dorian Gray… La combinación, podría haber sido mediocre, desequilibrada y desequilibrante, sin embargo, llevada al cine, el director desarrolla hábilmente la trama hasta convertir el filme en un vademécum de la literatura fantástica de finales del XIX. Sólo por eso, esta película merecería ser vista. Pero también ella hay unas leves alusiones a la masonería que justifican su presencia en este artículo. En efecto, el personaje del Capitán Nemo luce algunos símbolos masónicos que aparecen también en la decoración de las estancias bajo su control y en el puño de uno de los bastones coronado por una calavera que aparece en la cinta. Nemo es un nacionalista hindú resentido con el Imperio Británico y que se ha convertido en una especie de tecnopirata habiendo diseñado una nave prácticamente invulnerable que pone al servicio de sus ideales pacifistas llevados hasta el extremo de hacer la guerra a quien no los comporte. Conclusiones: mucha ficción, poco realismo Dejando aparte la calidad de estas películas –que oscila de lo brillante a lo convencional- casi todas ellas tienen en común dedicar mucho más tiempo a pintar una francmasonería fantástica que tiene muy poco que ver con la realidad de la institución. Hay que reconocer que la cinta que presenta más elementos realistas sobre la masonería es, precisamente, la primera que se filmó durante la ocupación alemana. Es cierto que el filme Fueras ocultas se resiente del clima de la época y que la película se realizó bajo la ocupación alemana, pero no hay que olvidar que el guión fue realizado por un antiguo franc-masón que se limitó a aportar dos elementos inestimables: la reproducción exacta y rigurosa de una iniciación masónica como no había hecho hasta entonces –y como no se volvería hacer nunca más– ninguna película, y la presentación de la masonería como una organización que ejerce el tráfico de influencias. Los miembros de la orden rechazan esta última atribución e insisten en presentarse como una organización que busca solamente el perfeccionamiento del ser humano y en cuyo interior está prohibido hablar de política, negocios o religión. Pero la historia de la orden masónica desdice en buena medida estos nobles ideales: la masonería fue el motor intelectual de las revoluciones liberales desde el siglo XVIII a mediados del siglo XX, y con demasiada frecuencia ha confundido la fraternidad masónica con la complicidad entre masones. Fraternidad no es amiguismo. [recuadro I] El misterio de Luis Buñuel y su Ángel Exterminador Buñuel sin duda es uno de los padres del cine español, aunque buena parte de su obra se realizó desde México o desde Francia. En 1962 dirigió El Ángel Exterminador, producción mexicana protagonizada por Silvia Pinal que siguió a Viridiana, el éxito internacional que propulsó de nuevo la carrera de Buñuel. Es una película extraña: unos altos burgueses acuden a una cena, pero no pueden salir de la habitación en la que tiene lugar el ágape. La comida empieza a escasear, las relaciones personales se van deteriorando y el salvajismo va sustituyendo a las maneras burguesas del inicio. Tal es la trama de esta película, cuyo título estuvo inspirado por una idea de Bergamín. La película es considerada como una de las grandes obras del cine mexicano y figura entre las mejores 1.000 películas de la historia del cine según The New York Times. Buñuel hubiera preferido haber rodado la película en París o Londres, sin embargo, el presupuesto era limitado y muy modesto. No es ningún secreto que en aquel momento gobernaba en México el Partido Revolucionario Institucional, buena parte de cuyos cuadros estaban vinculados a la masonería. Quizás fuera por eso que Buñuel lanzó varios guiños a la masonería. Uno de los protagonistas resulta ser miembro de la Logia Amanecer nº 21 del Oriente de México. En una de las escenas dos personajes se dan la mano y se transmiten la palabra de paso del Grado de Compañero. También se oye a uno de los personajes lanzar el grito masónico de ayuda. Buñuel no era masón, pero todo induce a pensar que conocía la temática masónica muy a la perfección. De hecho, él mismo era autor del guión. [recuadro II] La B’nai B’rith en Hollywood La llamada “Orden Independiente de los B’nai B’rith” o “Hijos de la Alianza” es una curiosa organización que solamente admite a judíos sionistas y se estructura a modo de una organización masónica. Fue fundada en Nueva York en 1843 por Henry Jones y otros 11 compañeros. Se suele decir que es la “masonería judía” y ha sido la matriz de otras organizaciones de defensa de los derechos humanos como la Liga Antidifamación de los EEUU. Tiene el estatuto de Organización No Gubernamental. Está presente en 58 países y cuenta con 50.000 miembros en todo el mundo, 7.000 de los cuales están distribuidos en 28 países europeos. Está presente en el Parlamento Europeo y en el Consejo de Europa, así como en las delegaciones de la ONU en Ginebra y en la UNESCO en París. Su objetivo es la “lucha contra el antisemitismo, el racismo, la xenofobia y la defensa del Estado de Israel”, así como defender la identidad, la cultura y el patrimonio judíos. En el ejercicio de estas funciones, los b’nai b’trih norteamericanos, al percibir la extraordinaria fuerza del séptimo arte a mediados de los años 20, instalaron varias logias en Hollywood cuyos miembros participaron en la creación de la industria del cine. El 1927, el presidente de los B’nai B’rith, firmó un acuerdo con el organismo regulador de la industria del cine para evitar los temas antisemitas. Más tarde, cuando Cecil B. de Mille rodó Rey de Reyes, la orden consiguió que cambiara algunas escenas para evitar que la responsabilidad de la muerte de Cristo recayera sobre los judíos. En los años 40, lo logia de los B’nai B’rith en Hollywood llegó a contar con ¡1.600 afiliados! Logias de la orden se interesaron en los años 70 por la industria de la televisión. Fruto de esa actividad fue la extraordinaria proliferación de series cinematográficas que en los años 70 trataron el tema del Holocausto. Los B’nai B’rith son una estructura diferente a la franc-masonería, pero su estructura interior es idéntica: estructuración en grados, ritos de iniciación, existencia de una jerarquía rectora. Habitualmente, la relación entre ambas organizaciones es buena. Resulta imposible desvincular algunas tendencias de Hollywood del peso que los B’nai B’rith tienen en la industria de Hollywood.

Historia : De Templarios a Masones - El noble caballero escocés Michael André Ramsay declaró en un discurso pronunciado en París en el año 1740 que la fraternidad masónica tubo su origen en los templarios, y lo explicó de la siguiente manera: El Papa Clemente V y el Rey de Francia Felipe el Hermoso, temían al creciente poder de los templarios y ambicionaban poseer sus inmensas riquezas, resolvieron un día destruir a la Orden Templaría, esta Orden que había sido profundamente influenciada por el misticismo islámico sufí, por el hecho de estar apostados cientos de años en el Medio Oriente. Cuando el Gran Maestre Jacob M. De Molay. Preparaba en 1308 una expedición para ir a proteger de los agravios sucedidos a los Cristianos en la Tierra Santa de Jerusalén, fue atraído a Francia por ordenes del Papa, quien era el único poder a quien debían obediencia los templarios en orden jerárquico. Al llegar a Francia fue recibido con muestras de franca amistad; pero el Rey no tardó en mandar que se le arrestara junto con otros dignatarios más, acusándoles de haber cometido atroces crímenes e imputándole los tan secretos ritos de su iniciación. Jacob B. De Molay y otras dignidades del Temple fueron quemados vivos el día 18 de marzo de 1314 por ordenes del arzobispo de Sans y de su consejo clerical. El Papa abolió en todo el mundo la Orden del Temple por medio de una bula papal, con fecha adulterada anterior a la ejecución, porque el Concilio de Vienne un delfínado poderoso, era adverso a la extrema medida. La ejecución del Gran Maestre y de sus compañeros aparentemente daría el golpe final a la Orden Templaría. Pero algunos caballeros templarios que lograron escapar a otros países continuaron con la Orden Templaria; pero la Orden volvería a recuperar su prestigio y su poder de antaño, bajo el nombre de Orden Francmasónica, enemistada para siempre con la Iglesia Católica y con la corona Francesa. Jacques de Molay había ya designado como sucesor suyo en el cargo de Gran Maestre a Johan Marcus Larmenio. Los caballeros que, huyendo de la persecución, se habían refugiado en Escocia en la corte del Rey Robert Bruce, se negaron a reconocer la autoridad de Marcus Larmenio y, pretendieron restablecer la Orden del Temple bajo la alegoría y título de Constructores Arquitectos, protegidos por el Rey, pusieron sus fundamentos de la Orden de Masones libres y aceptados del Rito Escocés Antiguo y Aceptado en diciembre de 1314. Pareciera ser que hasta este punto del relato, esta historia del Temple fuera pretérita y muy alejada con nuestra realidad, pero no es así, el temple influenciaría de manera directa, la creación de la francmasonería, y con ello el impuso de nuevas revoluciones y la fundación, instauración y el desenvolvimiento de lo que hoy es la nación más poderosa que la historia registra, los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. Los masones conocemos bien estas alegrías templarías, muchas fueron dejadas de lado por temor al clero en los años de la inquisición, y dejaron de ser representadas en publico, bajo el nombre de templarismo, los fundadores templarios dejaron de existir y sus sucesores hasta hoy vemos mas que alegorías templarías en los símbolos de la Orden. Los masones como los templarios hacemos uso constante de pasajes bíblicos. De su labor masónica en Escocia apenas existen datos, fue hasta el reinado de Carlos I de Inglaterra, en cuya época empezaron a atrae la atención por los misterios de sus iniciaciones. Los enemigos de Cromwell y del su proyecto de Republica que proyectaban crearon de nuevo el puesto de Gran Maestre con el objeto de preparar a los masones para el acontecimiento venidero, agruparlos bajo una misma ordenanza, puesto que los masones de aquella época estaban dispersos en muchas logias. El Rey Guillermo III era iniciado masón, y esté impulsó a la masonería a nuevos estadios. Pero, no fue hasta el Reinado de Jaime I, pues aún antes de este período no se hizo más que lentos progresos hasta entrado 1714, en que el rey Jaime I ascendió al trono. Tres años más tarde, es decir, en febrero de 1717, se fundó en Londres la primera Gran Logia. Un comité formado por representantes de las cuatro logias londinenses existentes se reunió en la taberna Apple Tree El Manzano , y así apareció la masonería ya como institución establecida, y designaron a Antonio Sayer, quien fue elegido Gran Maestre de la Orden en Junio 24 de 1717, día solsticio recordado como memorable a Juan el Bautista, al que por unanimidad, por esta razón, se nombró patrón de la Orden Francmasónica. Muchos sostenemos que ese fue el origen institucional de la Orden, algo registrado por los anales de la historia universal, luego por la naturaleza ecléctica de la Orden fue aceptando ideas y a miembros de otras fraternidades que influenciaron con sus ideas a la Orden |

Patrick Sexton from Ireland wrote to let me know about some interesting symbolism he ran into while visiting the place where the Academy Awards happen in Hollywood. I took a look and uncovered much more.
Magic Castle, located at 7001 Franklin Avenue in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California, is a nightclub for magicians and magic enthusiasts, as well as the clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts. It bills itself as “the most unusual private club in the world.”

I’m trying to be tolerant but don’t see why the developers chose to base Hollywood’s ground zero on a movie called Intolerance directed by a man who previously glorified the KKK. There is no lack of themes in Hollywood so why choose Intolerance and build an Ishtar Gate?

With the renovation of the El Capitan Theater next door in the early 1990s, Disney began leasing the building for special events, including its use as a “toy box” for the 1995 premiere of “Toy Story.”
In 1998, Disney purchased the building. In 2002, after extensive renovation, Disney reopened the building as the El Capitan Entertainment Centre. Disney restored original fixtures, including backlighted stone filigree, wrought iron torchieres, Batchelder tiles and old post boxes once used by Masonic officers.
As of 2008, ABC’s late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! originates from a studio in the building. -Source

Disney builds its temples on the silver screen and in the Magic Kingdom (Disneyland). Although freemasons are no longer occupying the Hollywood Masonic Temple, recall the mysterious Club 33 at Disneyland which I discussed in my 33 post, linking Disney with the 33rd degree of Scottish Freemasonry.
Getting back to Intolerance…”this complex film consists of four distinct, but parallel, stories — intercut with increasing frequency as the film builds to a climax — that demonstrate mankind’s persistent intolerance throughout the ages. The film sets up moral and psychological connections among the different stories. The timeline covers approximately 2,500 years:
- The ancient “Babylonian” story (539 BC) depicts the conflict between Prince Belshazzar of Babylon and Cyrus the Great of Persia. The fall of Babylon is a result of intolerance arising from a conflict between devotees of two rival Babylonian gods — Bel-Marduk and Ishtar.
- The Biblical “Judean” story (ca. 27 AD) recounts how — after the Wedding at Cana and the Woman Taken in Adultery — intolerance led to the Crucifixion of Jesus. This sequence is the shortest of the four.
- The Renaissance “French” story (1572) tells of the failure of the religious tolerance that led to the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre of Huguenots by Roman Catholic royals.
- The American “Modern” story (ca. 1914) demonstrates how crime, moral puritanism, and conflicts between ruthless capitalists and striking workers help ruin the lives of marginal Americans.” -Source
The films seems to be all about intolerance as the name suggests rather than presenting tolerant solutions to coexistence. Was this film or its director worthy of glorifying almost 100 years later?
The Babylonian story is the one that the developers decided to build out at Hollywood & Highland. Here is a closeup shot:
The elephant reminds me of the the pachyderms discussed in Bolton, Arsenic and War, and Pasternoster Squares. The pair of lions are symbols of Babylonian Ishtar (also known as the Sumerian Inanna, or Egyptian Isis). Here’s what I’m calling the Ishtar gate:
The god on the right is Assyrian Nisroch (Bablyonian Nusku). The pinecone (pineal gland) is strangely absent in the Hollywood version. Nusku was the son of the god Sin. That’s interesting because Ishtar (Sumerian Inanna) was the daughter of Sin. In the Sumerian version Inanna and her sun-god brother Utu were twins. One big happy freaky alien family of Sin.
Some religious authors consider Nisroch to be a fallen angel….Johann Weyer and Collin de Plancy wrote that Nisroch is chief of cuisine to the princes in Hell. -Source

Thinking on this I drew a line from the Ishtar Gate at Hollywood & Highland to the original location of the Ishtar Gate in Babylon (modern day Iraq). The real Ishtar Gate is now in Berlin.
The distance between Ishtar Gates measures 6555 miles.
Look at how the line from the Ishtar gate in Hollywood perfectly traces the reconstructed wall of Babylon:
Babylon is located at 32° 32′ 32″ N latitude.
David Flynn’s book Temple at the Center of Time lists the distance from the Foundation Stone at the center of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem to Babylon as 539.86 miles and I verified that this is indeed a fact. Flynn correlates this with the fact that Babylon fell on 12 Oct 539 BC.
The night before that date a disembodied hand [from the fourth dimension?] appeared and King Belshazzar could see the writing on the wall (and thus the origin of this idiom):

Flynn says that Issac Newton “looked on the whole universe and all that is in it as a riddle, as a secret which could be read by applying pure thought to certain evidence, certain mystic clues which God had laid about the world to allow a sort of philosopher’s treasure hunt to the esoteric brotherhood.

Consider also the building known as The Ziggurat in southern California (designed by William Pereira, the architect of the Transamerica Pyramid) which just happens to be located at 33°33′ N that I blogged about in my 2013 post. Thanks to Joylon who wrote a comment on my Santa Monica Pier post alerting me to the mysterious Park La Brea development which is 2.5 miles away from Hollywood & Highland.
Park La Brea is unlike the rest of the urban fabric in greater Los Angeles.
The street layout was created in a masonic pattern as a reference to the masonic heritage of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, which built the complex toward the end of World War II and immediately thereafter.
Metropolitan Life Insurance also constructed a sister complex, Park Merced in San Francisco, which features a similar street layout as Park La Brea. At the same time, they built Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village in Manhattan, Parkchester in The Bronx, and Parkfairfax in Alexandria, Virginia just outside Washington, DC. -Source

A different Patrick contacted me (also of Irish extraction) to say that La Breá means sunny day in Irish. The octagonal street layout is of course a solar symbol. Speaking of sister complexes, in Babylonian and Assyrian mythology, Ereshkigal, sister of the sky goddess Ishtar/Inanna, was the goddess of the land of the dead from which no-one returns. She managed the destiny of those who were beyond the grave, in the Underworld where she was queen. Note the pairs of lions and owls, Ereshkigal’s bird legs and wings. Not exactly human.
Zecharia Sitchin details how Inanna went down to Ereshkigal’s realm where she was met with less than familial affection. Ereshkigal killed her and hung her lifeless body on a stake. Only with uncle Enki’s help was Innana resurrected. -Source
We have been conditioned to think that magic is only an illusion, or a tale told to children. What if paranormal or ceremonial magic-magick was real in the sense that it is a communication and exchange of energy with real entities in an unseen realm? What if Hollywood was encoding this knowledge into films?

A major symbol of the divided cycle is the harlot of Babylon in Revelation 17, who corresponds to the Eastern goddess Kali. Babylon, through the Tower story, symbolizes the divisions of mankind. With Kali, it is the scissors she holds in one hand. See:

This is part of a purification learning process involving karma (or judgment), which is not really a reward/punishment system. The purification is sometimes shown as white garments, washing clothing or dishes (chakras), and cleaning one's house. Kali wears a girdle of severed human hands. As the instruments of our works, this shows the karmic function. The harlot shows the karmic/judgment function in that the kings of the earth (each of us) have to "pay" (karma) for the "fornication" (duality bond) during the time cycle, which is called the Kali Yuga, the Age of Iron. This corresponds to the legs of iron and feet of part iron part clay in the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in the Book of Daniel (Dan 2:31-45).
Karma or judgment is sometimes symbolized by police, courts, lawyers, and judges. It is also symbolized by money, including the use of credit cards. Since the beginning of human history this has been symbolized by systems of weights and measures, as with the balance scales held by the rider of the black horse in Revelation 6:5. My guess is that we or our Higher Selves do the judging.
My personal experience, given in the Pollen Path articles (see link list), indicates that humanity has been on a time cycle path that corresponds to the chakra levels. We are apparently near the three and a half midpoint and a leap to the fourth-heart chakra level of consciousness evolution. The leap is preceded by a period of stress. The key verse is Revelation 11:11, where the two trees stand up after three days and a half of being dead.

Lion Kings - Conscious Co-Creators
A big message at this time is to go by one's own internal guidance rather than depend on outside "authorities." This seems to be part of the "Lion King" symbolism. Revelation 3:11 speaks of being careful to hold on to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. The verses of Isaiah 65:17 and 65:21-22 indicate that when the new heavens and new earth are created, we will build our own (belief) houses and plant our own vineyards and eat their fruit (food for thought).

My guess is that worries are unfounded. A person can just lead their life "normally" and not pursue answers. I don't see that this would result in negative karma or the like. A dream suggested that "awards" are given at the end of the stage play. The rewards seems to be for symbolically grasping a share of the Tree of Life, helping to unravel the greatest mysteries of all time, for the benefit of mankind.

Would it not reach its height, if one gave assurances that no one ever suspected that it was Egyptian; that those who possessed it did not value it, that nobody ever sought to decipher a sheet of it; that the fruit of an exquisite wisdom is regarded as a cluster of extravagant figures which do not mean anything by themselves? Would it not be thought that the speaker wanted to amuse himself, and played on the credulity of his listeners?”

RING ONE: hidden element

Viewed in this diagram, we are looking at a 2-dimensional map of Earth from its side, represented by One ring of our choosing (blue):  Orient the planet so the Great Pyramid at Giza (30˚N) lays at one of the vertices, the Earth’s center at another, and its axis’ North pole at the third. Exploring this set of relations, it can be demonstrated that the architectural proportions of the Great Pyramid at Giza exhibit a means of utilizing the measure of Earth to express the mathematical constant, π. To understand how we must suspend, for a moment, our habit of thinking of number in purely quantitative terms and consider the ways in which some numbers are also inherently bound to specific geometric forms - like with ‘square’ (1² 2² 3² 4² 5²...) or ‘cubed’ (1³ 2³ 3³ 4³ 5³...) numbers we see a sum attached to a particular shape. Other shapes each possess their own sequence of numbers also attached to their change in proportion. These are called ‘figurate numbers’, and tradition has it they were introduced into Greek mathematics by the pre-Socratic philosopher, Pythagoras, in the 6th century BC. A student of the ancient mystery schools, it is likely he acquired this knowledge during his journeys to Chaldea & Egypt; but all that is really required to calculate the number sequences tied to these shapes is a stack of pebbles and time to spare, counting out the variety of polygons & devising ways of stacking them to construct polyhedrons. To the careful interpreter of nature a pattern was discernible amidst this numerical data - One that, properly placed, could be applied to the measure of all things. It is suggested here that the Great Pyramid at Giza, in relation to the 3-Ring structure given above, embodies this application. Let us then imagine the Great Pyramid as keystone to a system of ‘projective numerology’ - an application of mathematics using figurate numbers to model distances and proportions as shapes, and translating them into their related forms as ‘seen’ from different angles & in other dimensions. At the root of any square pyramid’s architecture is its’ seked - an ancient Egyptian ratio of angular measure used to determine the slope of a pyramid’s sides and thus its’ height.  Utilizing the seked of the Great Pyramid, the perimeter of a square pyramidal base equals the circumference of a circle whose radius is equal to that pyramid’s height. Within our 2-dimensional map, as our planet rotates upon its’ axis, the Pyramid appears to move from one end of a vesica piscis to the other, as if turning on a Wheel whose rim is the 30th parallel. Thus, in one quarter turn (11/14 ≈ π/4) the Pyramid appears to move in a perpendicular line to the base of the equilateral Triangle articulated within our 3-ring diagram.   The distance of this perpendicular line from the Great Pyramid to the Earth’s polar axis is 3430 nautical miles, or 10x the cube of seven. Let us then imagine this distance as a stack of 10 cubes, 7x7x7.  A ‘quarter turn’ (11/14) of the Earth thus ‘apportions’ a 10x10 square of these cubes: 10² x 14/11 = 127.27272727...  So, by the logic induced with this arrangement of proportions, distances can be pictured in the mind’s Eye as figurate numbers of octahedral symmetry with 7-unit sides. Reading the Run & Rise of the Great Pyramid’s seked both forward and backward we get a formula for modeling a linear distance of the Earth’s measure as a column made of figurative cubes.  [3d:2d = 343 : 127 ]As such, we can picture the square pyramid monument atop this ‘column’ as pointing to the center of an imaginary 11th cube.  It follows, then, that a 12-hour rotation (180˚) measures a distance from center-point to center-point of the cubes at either end of a column 22 cubes of 7 long. The center point of a unit cube has a specific relationship to the vesica piscis traversed in this 12-hour ‘distance’ within our diagram, as Two rings sharing a single radius give a rational approximation for √3, which is also the space diagonal of any unit cube.   In other words, with respect to a unit cube, the √3 is the distance between opposite corners of that cube. Tracing these space diagonal lines joins the opposing corners, all of which intersect at the center of that cube, and thereby delineate the edges of six square pyramids joined at their apex.  22:7 ≈ πTo the Egyptian god Thoth, equated with the Greek god, Hermes, and particularly the Roman god, Mercury, this ratio is significant in describing the number of conjunctions aligning Mercury & Earth with the Sun every 7 years. Also known as a ‘synodic cycle’, this is an example of what ancient Greek astronomers called an exeligmos, or ‘Turn of the Wheel’ - describing any period wherein Sun, Moon, and/or planets return to conjunction(s) from which they started. The term is still used today, but is more specifically applied to the Triple Saros cycle of reckoning lunar eclipses, each 120º of longitude apart, eventually returning to a point relatively close to where they began: exeligmos. The Romans used the term annus magnus, or ‘great year’ to describe the same class of periodic event. As we shall see, each of the planets have a harmonic ratio of conjunctions with our planet Earth, and with each other. By fixing the Earth to the center of our ecliptic plane, the motion of other planets relative to our position appear as serpentine spiro-graph patterns, looping in close when aligning into conjunction with the Sun, and looping out to trace a wide arc that coils about the Earth until looping in again for another conjunction.  Mars:Earth  Venus: Earth Consistent within our model of 10 cubes of seven, the Great Pyramid (pointing to the center of an eleventh) also corresponds to the tip of an octahedron of 7 = 231. And it just so happens that 11x 231 is the number of days in the exeligmos of Mercury & Earth, 22:7. In addition, the measure of the Great Pyramid’s base side lengths (440 cubits each) give a total base area measuring approximately 231 meters square.Being a close approximation of the value π, and our annus magnus with the planet Mercury (Hermes/Thoth), let us then imagine this column of 22 cubes of 7 as the staff of his Caduceus. As we shall see, the cycles of the other planets can be represented as the serpents entwined about this Staff, their helices in tune with the ratio of their exeligmos.Imparting more than just the inevitable passage of Time, they were the very music of the spheres by which the harmony of creation was made known to the ancient Geometers. Our 3-Rings establish the base unit of an entire system of weights & measures (metrology) by symbolizing an angular dimension constructed by the movement through Time of the Great Pyramid, like the point of a metronome entrained to the Earth’s tempo. In effect attuning the mathematical constant π with Mercury's Great Year & the linear measure of Earth's size in units of angular measure. 'Squaring' the circle much like the Great Pyramid's seked. 1 nautical mile = 1.15 miles The nautical mile used as our base unit of measure for obtaining the distance in cubes of seven is also a unit of angular measure equivalent to 1/60th degree of Earth longitude (=1 minute of arc degree). Converting this into survey land miles = 1/10² the number of days between Earth:Mercury conjunctions (=115).  22:7 = 12 hrs @ 30˚north (12x 30 = 360)180˚ = 10,800 arc minutes of degree = 50x 216, the cube of 6216 also equals the number of degrees between Earth:Venus conjunctions (x5 = 1 Earth:Venus pentagram = exeligmos). So, by subdividing each degree of arc into 60 minutes, Earth’s 180˚ rotation (22:7) upon its’ axis thereby possesses a kind of numerological resonance regarding its harmonic with Venus, the exeligmos of the pentagram. Reputedly a symbol of good will among the Pythagoreans, the pentagram also provides an easy means of obtaining the golden ratio.  12 : 1 = (22/7) = 60 minutes In this way our measure of both Time & Space define each other by weaving together the value π with the ‘divine proportion’ of the golden ratio. Of the numerous other curious facets to this TooL of Hermetic Metrology, establishing not only our system of weights & measures, its choice of cubes & octahedrons also exhibit a direct connection to speeds of both sound & light: 1 meter =distance trave1ed by sound 1/343th of second =distance trave1ed by light 1/299,792,458th of second 343 = cube of 7 299,792,458 = c = speed of light in meters per second 1296000 / π = number of square degrees in one whole sphere c / 1296000 = 231.321.... 231 = octahedron of 7 Stranger still, the proportions outlined above are also paralleled in the numerical structure of the Tarot de Marseilles’ pattern of 22 major arcana trumps when applied to the Hebrew alphabet - in turn derived from Egyptian (via proto-Sinaitic) hieroglyphs which depicted the symbols those letters are still associated with.  We see traces of this tradition within our own English alphabet with the letter A: also the glyph for an Ox head (turned upside-down) having the same origin as the Hebrew letter aleph.  Referred to by 'occultists' as the Book of Thoth (though never adequately explained why), the key to unlocking this puzzle, as with any cryptological TooL, is knowing where to place the cypher, or sifr - the arabic word from which we also get Zero, or ‘nothing’, the rank of every Tarot deck’s Fool [aleph=0]. And this role proves more than suitable for One who ushers in what ultimately reveals a prank, of sorts... leading to what is arguably the greatest punch-line in history.

From beaches to bridges, Apple has plenty of possible California-themed names for next OS X

With Apple's next-generation Mac operating system expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference in June, AppleInsider looks at possible names the company might choose for its follow-up to the OS X versions dubbed Yosemite and Mavericks.
What's in a name? In the case of Apple's OS X, for years it was represented by big cats, ranging from Leopard to Lion.
But as Apple began to dig deep into the feline family tree with names like Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion, it switched to famous California locations, starting with the release of OS X 10.9 Mavericks two years ago. That name refers to the legendary surfing spot located in Northern California.
Apple's 2014 follow-up was dubbed Yosemite, a nod to the iconic U.S. National Park that calls the Golden State home.
With WWDC set to kick off on June 8, Apple has already said it plans to show "the future" of both OS X and iOS at the event. That means we'll probably get to see OS X 10.11, along with the choice of a new California landmark.
Some of California's most famous spots seem unlikely to make the cut for an OS X release. For example, Alcatraz and its role as a maximum security federal prison would not be suitable for a consumer electronics product lineup that aims to be friendly and approachable.

Similarly, the name San Andreas, in reference to the earthquake-prone fault line that runs through California, would likely give the impression of a crash-prone, unreliable operating system. And Death Valley, while beautiful, has not only a morbid name but an association with barren, dry lands.
In the realm of actually viable names, Apple may already have tipped its hand last year: The company has already filed for trademarks on names referring to a well-known city or geographic figure in California. They are:
- OS X Sequoia
- OS X Mojave
- OS X Sonoma
- OS X Ventura

The registrations, and names already used, suggest that virtually any feature, city or location in California is considered fair game for future OS X branding. With that in mind, here are some other options that Apple could choose:
- OS X Cupertino: Perhaps the most obvious choice for Apple is its home city, where the company's headquarters is located, and where its Campus 2 "spaceship" facility is rapidly approaching completion.

- OS X Golden Gate: San Francisco's world-famous Golden Gate Bridge would make an excellent name for an OS X release, evoking thoughts of an impressive architectural feat, as well as an iconic design.

- OS X Hollywood: Located within Los Angeles, the glitz and glamour of the home of the motion picture industry would be appropriate for a big and flashy update to OS X.

- OS X Napa: California's Napa Valley is one of the premier wine regions in the world, and the name immediately conjures up images of high-class and good taste —two traits Apple would undoubtedly love to associate with a new Mac operating system release.

- OS X Tahoe: This name is particularly interesting because of an iOS connection: Codenames for Apple's iOS have been based on ski resorts, and both iOS 1.02 Heavenly and iOS 3.0 Kirkwood are named after resorts located near California's Lake Tahoe.

- OS X Redwood: The tall trees of California's Redwood National Park stand strong and beautiful, which could symbolize the lasting power of Apple's robust OS X framework.
Long Beach, Calif., via Wikipedia.
- OS X Long Beach (or Hermosa, or Venice, Malibu, or Pebble): Synonymous with sun, fun and style, California's Long Beach would imply a "cool" factor for OS X. Other famous beaches could also be OS X candidates, such as the origins of skateboarding in Hermosa Beach, the tourist-friendly sands of Venice Beach or Malibu, or the stunning PGA golf course at Pebble Beach.

- OS X Big Sur: One of the most scenic driving routes on Earth, California's Big Sur is filled with dramatic visuals along the coast of the Pacific Ocean that, if nothing else, would make for gorgeous default wallpaper in a new OS X release.
