DEVI MAHATMYAM - SRI DURGA  SAPTASHATI

The entire Devi Mahatmyam, as sung by Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta from her album Chandi Path (Sampoorna). The video clips clips are portions of the two DVDs, Tantric Fire Ceremony and Late Night Kali Puja, and Morning Worship of Sri Ma Dakshineswari Kali, both of which are available (in full, and with their own audio components) from the online store of Kali Mandir, at www.kalimandir.org. This video here is "Fair Use" under copyright law: I claim no rights to it, seek no benefit from it, and sincerely intend to promote the sale of both the audio and video components, in proper support of both the singer and the Mandir.

Just listening to the whole recording of the Devi Mahatmyam brings the same great blessings to you as actually reciting this miracle-bestowing Hindu scripture written to praise Devi, our Divine Mother, who is known by many names, including Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Sarasvati, and Durga Ma. Reciting or listening to the Devi Mahatmyam confers great blessings and solves all problems. The Devi Mahatmyam is also commonly known as the Chandi Path or the Sri Durga Saptashati, with saptashati indicating its 700 verses or mantras. This beautiful sung version here begins with the traditionally "required" preliminary angas or "limbs", supplementary texts/prayers added later on to the original scripture, then goes right in to the Devi Mahatmyam itself.

If you would like a free copy of the English translation of the Devi Mahatmyam, I can send you a PDF (which also contains Sanskrit), or if you would like my free Kali prayer booklet, which is also in a PDF, I will be happy to email them to you if you email me directly at jaimaakaalee@gmail.com. I do check YouTube messages as well, when I can, but it is impossible to send an attachment through YouTube, so please email me directly at jaimaakaalee@gmail.com.

Sending you blessings,
Acharyaji
