Marking the birth of Lord Krishna, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Gokulashtami was celebrated with lot of gaiety on 22nd August`2011 @ Shirdi. Shirdi seemed to be submerged in an atmosphere of Divinity. The breaking of the Dahi Handi Programme was performed at the Samadhi Mandir. Heavy turnout of devotees, which ran into thousands, was recorded on the eve of the celebrations.
