In the middle of Abraham Hicks' teachings lies the Law of Attraction—the proven fact that like attracts like. In accordance with Abraham (a number of non-physical entities channeled by Esther Hicks), the thoughts and emotions you project to the universe become a magnet, drawing similar energies back to you. If you're thinking positive thoughts and feeling good, you'll attract experiences, people, and circumstances that match that high vibration. Conversely, if you're focused on lack, fear, or frustration, you're more likely to draw more of that into your life. This principle encourages individuals to take conscious control of these thinking patterns, not by controlling every thought, but by gently redirecting focus toward items that feel a lot better and align with joy, freedom, and appreciation.

Abraham Hicks emphasizes that your emotions are not random; they are guidance from your broader, non-physical self—what they call the Inner Being. Emotions act as indicators of whether your overall thoughts come in alignment along with your desires and your true nature. Joy, love, and excitement mean you're aligned, while fear, guilt, or anger signal misalignment. The  positive attitude  Guidance Scale is a functional tool made available from Abraham to greatly help people identify where they are emotionally and make small, manageable shifts upward. By reaching for a slightly better-feeling thought, you start to climb the vibrational ladder, gaining clarity and setting up to better manifestations.

Abraham outlines a clear three-step process for conscious creation: (1) Ask, (2) It is Given, and (3) Allow. Step one is natural and effortless—you're always asking during your experiences and desires. Second step is handled by the universe, or Source Energy, which immediately answers and creates a vibrational version of what you've asked for. Step three, the absolute most crucial and often misunderstood, involves aligning yourself vibrationally using what you've called for to help you receive it. This implies feeling as if your desire is already fulfilled, without the need to see physical evidence right away. It's about being in the receiving mode, which happens through relaxation, trust, and enjoyment of the now.

A main concept in Abraham Hicks' teachings is "The Vortex"—a vibrational reality where everything you've ever asked for already exists. It's not a place you go physically, but a state of alignment you enter vibrationally. When you're in the Vortex, you feel joy, flow, love, and inspiration. That is where true manifestation begins, because you're energetically matched with all the current things your Inner Being has arranged for you. Abraham teaches that the important thing to entering the Vortex isn't action or effort but emotional alignment. Practices like meditation, appreciation, and focusing on what's going well assist you to enter and remain in this powerful state.

Abraham Hicks makes it clear that feeling good is not a luxury—it's absolutely essential for deliberate creation. Many individuals are conditioned to trust that effort, sacrifice, or struggle must achieve success. Abraham flips this belief on its head, teaching that alignment is everything. Whenever you prioritize feeling good, everything you would like comes more easily and naturally. This doesn't mean you avoid challenges, but alternatively that you will find ways to soothe yourself and feel relief, even yet in difficulty. Feeling good becomes an everyday practice: appreciating small things, choosing better thoughts, and reaching for emotional relief whenever possible.
