Where the link time-only Deepstar II felt quite a bit different from the Deepstar Chronograph, the Deepstar 39mm is a subtle evolution that makes an already wearable chunky dive chronograph somewhat link more friendly for those with smaller wrists. For my 7-inch wrist on a sunny summer's day without a tailored cuff in sight, I'd be thrilled to wear either – but I also never found the 40.5mm sizing link that hard to wear.
