¿Cómo ayuda Dios?
Me pediste ayuda, querías cambiar algunos aspectos que identificaste como perturbadores para tu crecimiento espiritual, tu evaluación era correcta, entonces te ayudé, te puse pruebas; no pasaste ninguna. Querías resolver tu tendencia a la ira; para ayudarte generé en tu interior un enojo profundo y te puse en contacto con situaciones que favorecieran tu expresión y allí te fuiste con todo el ímpetu sobre los otros, en total descontrol. Me pediste ayuda para controlar tu lengua, te respondí para que aumentara tu apetito y también tu hambre de palabras; las pronunciaste todas y no hubo manjar ante el cual no sucumbieras. Te volviste hacia mi y reclamaste ¿Swami, cómo pido tu ayuda para crecer?, y me encuentro con todas mis inclinaciones negativas vigentes, con mis tendencias que creía resueltas en gran medida, activas como nunca. Voy a explicarte lo que sucedió: me pediste ayuda y yo te la brindé; eso quiere decir que te puse en la situación de confrontarte con aquellos aspectos que querías borrar de tu existencia. La ira, la irreflexión, la verborrea, la gula. Puse un deliberado acento en esos puntos para que así tuvieras la ocasión de trabajar sobre ellos, salvando los escollos que Swami había puesto en tu camino para que aprendieras a sortearlos. Pero te enredaste en cada uno de ellos, ¿Sabes por qué? Porque tú, en realidad no esperabas mi ayuda; esperabas que yo te liberara, sin más, de esos aspectos que aún no resolviste. Por supuesto que puedo, con solo decidirlo, eliminar cualquier tendencia negativa que padezca un devoto; mi gracia puede todo, pero tú no me pediste eso, tú me pediste ayuda y yo plasmo mi ayuda ofreciendo al devoto esa oportunidad de aprendizaje a partir de la cual puede ensayar maneras nuevas de respuesta, creciendo entonces merced a la experiencia. ¿Cómo harías para superar tu ira si yo no te enfrento a aquello que te enoja? ¿Cómo resolverías tu gula si no te acicateara con lo que más te gusta? Esas son ocasiones para aprender a estar alerta, para emplear la serena atención que indica dónde se haya el estimulo que desencadena tu respuesta, que te muestra a partir de dónde poner en juego el desapego, el discernimiento y la conducta opuesta a aquello hacia la cual tu tendencia habitual se encamina. Si el maestro no plantea problemas, el alumno no aprende. Yo te ayudo proporcionándote la ocasión de aprender, ten muy en cuenta ésto. Swami siempre va a responder; Él Señor siempre ayuda, y yo lo hago brindándote la posibilidad de efectuar un trabajo muy serio sobre tí, de modo que equivocándote, volviendo a comenzar, plasmes con tu quehacer esa transformación sin la cual el logro espiritual es imposible. Acepta el desafío, no escapes de la dificultad, afróntala con desapego y valentía. Jamás te desanimes. Crecer es un proceso que no acaba y ante cada triunfo debes pensar qué nueva prueba lo acompaña. El Amor del Señor pone piedras a tu paso; Yo quiero que progreses, que te sientas en alianza conmigo y que entonces no temas, no importa lo erizado de los escollos que te encuentres: el camino es Dios, va hacia Dios y Swami va contigo.
