This is a limited edition piece, which will definitely bump up the value for people buying for that purpose. But doing a movement in gold is a nice bonus and brings to mind the original watch brands a-z movements from the 1990s and 2000s Reverso Chronographs. You could also say it's kind of like F.P. Journe – gold movements, made industrially, finished to the extent they need to be to make them appropriate for the price (though I haven't seen the movement in person, I assume this to be the case).

This release is very interesting on the basis of just how new and exciting link the standard 43mm Big Pilot is and was at launch. I would say that it's surprising to see the brand iterating on the model so soon, but this is the watch world we're talking about. The good thing is, both of these new Spitfire editions look distinctive and quite cool.
