Secretos de la Gran Pirámide de Keops
De todos los monumentos de Egipto, las pirámides han provocado siempre el más vivo interés y las teorías más descabelladas. Varias generaciones de egiptólogos han declarado imperturbables que las pirámides se construyeron por los motivos más triviales y equivocados, que sus dimensiones y proporciones son accidentales, y que su enorme volumen no es más que un ejemplo de la egolatría faraónica. Sin embargo, todo eso sigue sin convencer al profano, y todo lo que huele a misterio sigue despertando interés. Las fuentes antiguas explicaban que las pirámides, y especialmente la Gran Pirámide de Keops, se construyeron para encarnar en sus dimensiones y proporciones una rica diversidad de datos astronómicos, matemáticos, geográficos y geodésicos (la geodesia es la rama de las matemáticas aplicadas que determina las cifras y áreas de la superficie de la tierra). Pero, aunque algunos de sus cálculos parecían corroborar la idea, había otros que no concordaban. Realizar una medición exacta del conjunto de la pirámide resultaba imposible debido a la arena y los escombros acumulados en torno a su base, y —como suele ocurrir en el ámbito científico— los datos que sustentaban la teoría ortodoxa predominante se conservaron, mientras que los que resultaban embarazosos se ignoraron. Sin embargo, en Gran Bretaña las ideas geométricas hallaron eco en astrónomos serios, matemáticos y masones, quienes descubrieron numerosas coincidencias sorprendentes entre las medidas y proporciones de las pirámides y las medidas de la Tierra, recientemente verificadas.
No podía atribuirlas al azar. Sin embargo, como fundamentalista que era, Se creía en la verdad literal de la Biblia, y no podía optar por atribuir tales conocimientos a los antiguos egipcios, una raza especialmente maltratada en el Antiguo Testamento aunque, según el relato bíblico, Moisés aprendió todo su saber en la corte del faraón. Así, dado su fundamentalismo, no se tenía otra opción que apelar a una intervención divina directa, y de este modo nació la seudociencia de la «piramidología». Aunque inicialmente se hallaron pocos devotos, de estás ideas que llegaron hasta el francmasón Charles Piazzi Smyth, quien se dirigió a Egipto para confirmar las tesis . Sus mediciones, con mucho las más exactas realizadas hasta entonces, pronto confirmaron la hipótesis de que los antiguos egipcios poseían avanzados y precisos conocimientos astronómicos, matemáticos y geodésicos, que se encarnaban en un magnífico sistema de pesas y medidas, cuyos restos seguían gozando de una amplia utilización en todo el mundo, en forma de bushels, galones, acres y otras medidas. Sin embargo, muchos europeos , no podían atribuir a los egipcios unos conocimientos elevados; y recurrieron a la divinidad. Poco después, otro entusiasta , Robert Menzies, propuso que el sistema de pasadizos de la Gran Pirámide estaba concebido como un sistema de profecías del que se podía deducir la fecha de la segunda venida de Cristo. En ese momento, la piramidología se convirtió en un terreno de fanáticos. Por curiosa que hoy nos pueda parecer, la teoría anglo-israelita (que los británicos descendían de una de las tribus perdidas de Israel) era una de las que ocupaban el tiempo y el pensamiento de muchos Victorianos instruidos que, por lo demás, no carecían de sentido común. La piramidología fue, pues, objeto de un apasionado debate intelectual. Sin embargo, en el contexto aparentemente científico de Smyth, la teoría se sustentaba en la validez de la «pulgada piramidal», una medida inventada por él y que no se manifestaba en ningún otro monumento o dispositivo de medición egipcio.
Cuando ésta fue refutada por las mediciones, aún más exactas, realizadas por W. M. Flinders Petrie, la teoría se vino abajo, aunque los entusiastas siguieron leyendo profecías cada vez más detalladas en la cámara del rey. Con el advenimiento de la era espacial, los descendientes espirituales de los piramidólogos (Erich von Daniken es el menos creíble, y, por tanto, el de mayor éxito de todos ellos) han seguido proponiendo nuevos y fantásticos usos para las pirámides: éstas sirvieron como rampas de aterrizaje de las naves espaciales, o eran pantallas protectoras con las que los antiguos científicos explotaban la energía del cinturón de Van Alien. No hace falta decir que tales teorías no cuentan con el respaldo de ninguna evidencia concreta. Pero, si la falta de evidencias es el criterio para juzgar la excentricidad de una determinada teoría, entonces hay una que resulta aún más excéntrica que todas las fantasías de los piramidólogos y los adictos a los ovnis. Es la teoría de que las grandes pirámides se construyeron como tumbas, y sólo como tumbas. No hay absolutamente ninguna evidencia, directa o indirecta, que sustente esta teoría. Mientras que resulta claro y evidente que las numerosas pequeñas pirámides del Imperio Medio y Nuevo se concibieron como tumbas, y han revelado una rica variedad de momias y ataúdes, las ocho «grandes» pirámides atribuidas a la III y IV dinastías del Imperio Antiguó no han revelado signo alguno ni de ataúdes ni de momias. La construcción de estas inmensas estructuras difiere en todos los aspectos de las tumbas posteriores. Los curiosos pasadizos inclinados no podrían resultar menos propicios para los elaborados ritos funerarios que dieron fama a Egipto. Los austeros interiores de las «cámaras mortuorias» muestran un vivido contraste con las cámaras, lujosamente decoradas con grabados e inscripciones, del Egipto posterior. Además, se cree que las ocho grandes pirámides se construyeron durante los reinados de tres faraones (aunque ésta es una idea discutida, debido a la falta de evidencias directas que atribuyan estas pirámides a unos faraones concretos). En cualquier caso, esto da como resultado más de una gran pirámide por faraón, lo que invita a la especulación acerca de por qué ha de haber varias tumbas para un solo rey. Los egiptólogos, y, con ellos, los historiadores, se niegan a aceptar la posible validez de otras alternativas a la teoría de «sólo tumbas», prescindiendo de lo bien fundamentadas que puedan estar. ¿Cuál es, pues, el atractivo de esta teoría, improbable, indefendible y en absoluto documentada? Creo que su atractivo consiste en que es prosaica y trivial. En la egiptología, como en muchas otras disciplinas modernas, se considera que todas las preguntas tienen respuestas «racionales». Si no se dispone de ninguna evidencia que proporcione una respuesta racional, la solución habitual es trivializar el misterio. En muchos círculos académicos trivialidad es sinónimo de razón. Dada esta pasión por la trivialización, las afirmaciones nunca confirmadas de los piramidólogos tuvieron graves repercusiones. En todo el desarrollo de la egiptología, desde Jomard en adelante, diversos eruditos serios, sensatos y cualificados han cuestionado las concepciones predominantes y la decisión generalizada de ver a los egipcios como seres primitivos. Biot, Lockyer y Proctor, astrónomos profesionales, propusieron sólidas teorías que atestiguaban un elevado nivel de conocimientos astronómicos entre los egipcios. Lockyer —que fue ridiculizado por haber propuesto que Stonehenge se construyó como instrumento astronómico— mostró cómo las pirámides podrían haber servido en la práctica para obtener datos astronómicos precisos.
En muchos otros ámbitos, diversos especialistas han atestiguado también la existencia de elevados conocimientos entre los egipcios. Pero fueron las afirmaciones sensacionalistas de Smyth, Menzies y sus sucesores las que saltaron al primer plano, permitiendo a los egiptólogos ortodoxos agrupar a todas y cada una de las teorías disidentes bajo el manto de la piramidología. Así, las provocativas especulaciones de Lockyer y otros fueron ignoradas. Mientras tanto, había aparecido la teoría de la evolución de Darwin. Cuando se inició la egiptología, la mayoría de los eruditos, como fieles hijos de la Ilustración, eran ateos, materialistas o sólo nominal-mente religiosos. Casi todos ellos estaban convencidos de que representaban el apogeo de la civilización. Pero todavía no se contemplaba el proceso como algo inevitable y automático; los intelectos más renombrados de la época aún no se veían a sí mismos como monos avanzados. Todavía no era una herejía sugerir que, en realidad, los antiguos sabían algo. Pero cuando la teoría de la evolución se convirtió en dogma, se hizo imposible atribuir conocimientos exactos a las culturas antiguas sin socavar la fe en el progreso. Así, colocados en el mismo saco que los piramidólogos, e incapaces de respaldar ideas sensatas con pruebas fehacientes, todos aquellos primeros egiptólogos, hombres de gran amplitud de miras, fueron perdiendo terreno poco a poco. Visto retrospectivamente, se puede decir que era inevitable. Todos aquellos hombres, sin excepción, trabajaban en la sombra. En Europa, las verdades místicas y metafísicas que nutren a la auténtica civilización estaban oscurecidas, fosilizadas u olvidadas Entonces era posible, como también lo es hoy, acudir a la catedral de Chartres y quedar cautivado por la inquebrantable convicción de que, de algún modo, ahí está el sentido de la vida humana en la Tierra.
Pero explicar dicha convicción, ponerla en términos comunicables, resultaba imposible hace cien años. Y «demostrarla» sigue siendo imposible. Aunque corruptas y decadentes, las civilizaciones orientales del siglo xix eran florecientes comparadas con Europa. Pero sólo resultaban accesibles a Occidente a través de la distorsionada verborrea de Blavatsky, o de los libros de los eruditos occidentales, imbuidos de las nociones progresistas de la Ilustración y, por tanto, ciegos al sentido interior de las palabras que pretendían comunicar. Lo que hoy está a disposición de cualquier estudiante quedaba entonces fuera del alcance de la mayoría de los eruditos. Resultaba imposible estudiar de primera mano las auténticas obras de los maestros zen, los sufíes o los yoguis, leer el Libro de los muertos tibetano, el Tao Té-king, los Filokalia, a los místicos cristianos, los alquimistas, los cabalistas y los gnósticos; comparar todos estos mitos con los egipcios, y reconocer, por encima de sus diferencias, el vínculo que une a todas estas tradiciones. Al mismo tiempo, era imposible para la mayoría de los hombres reconocer la auténtica naturaleza del «progreso». Los artistas, que en Occidente especialmente actúan como una especie de terminaciones nerviosas sensibles de la sociedad, solían estar menos engañados. Goethe,Blake, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Melville, Schopenhauer, Novalis, Dostoievski y algunos más veían el progreso tal como era; pero representaban una impotente minoría. Hoy, un hombre tieneque estar loco para creer en el «progreso»; hace cien años bastaba con que fuera insensible. Vista desde la perspectiva histórica, la egiptología constituye un inevitable producto de su época. Al mirar atrás, se hace evidente que hace cien años ningún erudito o grupo de eruditospodía haber percibido lo que era el auténtico Egipto.
Para ello se necesitaban primero losavances de la ciencia moderna, así como la posibilidad de disponer al mismo tiempo de las doctrinas místicas de Oriente y de una mente capaz de aplicar ambos tipos de conocimiento a lasruinas de Egipto. Al mirar atrás, resulta imposible no admirar los hercúleos esfuerzos de los egiptólogos: sus concienzudas excavaciones, la reconstrucción de las ruinas, la recogida, filtrado y clasificación de datos, la gigantesca labor de descifrar los jeroglíficos y la escrupulosa atención alos detalles en todos los campos y en todos los niveles. Pero, al mismo tiempo, resulta difícil comprender el modo en que aquellos eruditos llegaron a muchas de sus conclusiones, dada la naturaleza del material del que disponían. Una afirmación realizada por Ludwig Borchardt, uno de los egiptólogos más industriosos y prolíficos, describe muy bien la situación en una sola frase. En 1922, tras haber demostrado que las pirámides de Egipto estaban orientadas a los puntos cardinales, y situadas y niveladas con una precisión que hoy no se podría superar, Borchardt llegaba a la conclusión de que, en la época de la construcción de las pirámides, la ciencia egipcia estaba aún en su infancia.

The ratio of the perimeter to height of 1760/280 cubits equates to 2π to an accuracy of better than 0.05% (corresponding to the well-known approximation of π as 22/7). Some Egyptologists consider this to have been the result of deliberate design proportion. Verner wrote, "We can conclude that although the ancient Egyptians could not precisely define the value of π, in practice they used it".[12] Petrie, author of Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh concluded: "but these relations of areas and of circular ratio are so systematic that we should grant that they were in the builder's design".More than a century later, Greaves' measurements and additional measurements made by French engineers during Napoleon's expedition in Egypt, were studied by John Taylor (1781–1864). Taylor claimed that the measurements indicated that the ancients had used a unit of measure about 1/1000 greater than a modern British inch.[2] This was origin of the "pyramid inch". Taylor regarded the "pyramid inch" to be 1/25 of the "sacred cubit" whose existence had earlier been postulated by Isaac NewtonThe principal argument was that the total length of the four sides of the pyramid would be 36524 (100 times the number of days in a year) if measured in pyramid inches. Taylor and his followers, who included the Astronomer Royal of Scotland Charles Piazzi Smyth (1819–1900),[4] also found numerous apparent coincidences between the measurements of the pyramids and the geometry of the earth and the solar system. They concluded that the British system of measures was derived from a far more ancient, if not divine, system. I don't know who is responsible? I know some crop circles are made by men and women. I have seen them make them on TV they go out of the way to bend the wheat and make their designs before the light rises ...it takes a lot of work Some people have taken credit for some of them so perhaps it is men creating beautiful designs It hasn't stopped over the years I still think there is a mystery here...why do they do it and what makes them choose their designs? Se conocen como Día de Pi dos celebraciones en honor de la expresión matemática Pi; el "Día Pi" y el "Día de aproximación de Pi". Esta celebración fue una ocurrencia del físico Larry Shaw en San Francisco,[1] y ha ido ganando en popularidad, hasta el punto de contar en 2009 con una resolución favorable de la Cámara de Representantes de los Estados Unidos,[2] en la que se declaraba al 14 de marzo como día nacional de π.[3]
Por la forma en que se escribe en el formato usado en los Estados Unidos, el 14 de marzo (3/14) se ha convertido en una celebración no oficial para el "Día Pi", derivándose de la aproximación de tres dígitos de pi: 3,14.[4] Normalmente la celebración se concentra a la 1:59 PM (en reconocimiento de la aproximación de seis dígitos: 3,14159),[5] aunque algunas personas afirman que en realidad son las 13:59, por lo que lo correcto sería celebrar a la 1:59 AM.
Matemáticos y profesores de varias escuelas alrededor del mundo organizan fiestas y reuniones en esta fecha. La fecha se celebra de maneras muy diversas: algunos grupos se reúnen para discutir y comentar sobre la importancia de pi en sus vidas, intercambiar anécdotas o teorizar cómo sería el mundo sin el conocimiento de pi.[4] Otros grupos se reúnen para ver la película de culto, Pi, fe en el caos.[6] También es frecuente comer tartas con motivos sobre π; otro juego de palabras, pues en lengua inglesa, tanto pi como pie (tarta) tienen idéntica pronunciación.[7] [4]

Otro dato curioso es que el afamado Instituto Tecnológico de Massachussetts (MIT), reconocido por su inusual acercamiento a las matemáticas, acostumbra enviar las cartas de aceptación a sus futuros estudiantes para que sean entregadas en esta fecha.[4]
El momento Pi "definitivo" habría ocurrido el 14 de marzo de 1592 a las 6:53:58 (AM). Esto, escrito en formato estadounidense, sería 3/14/1592 6:53.58, que correspondería al valor de pi expresado en doce dígitos: 3,14159265358. Considerando que esto fue mucho tiempo antes de que se estandarizara la hora en el mundo y pi no era un concepto de uso general, lo más seguro es que la fecha haya sido cambiada a lo largo de la historia.
También se considera aceptable el 14 de marzo de 2015, ya que representa al número Pi al ser representado abreviadamente como 3/14/15. Concretamente a las 9:26:53 de la mañana se forma un conjunto equiparable al número Pi expresado con nueve cifras decimales: 3,141592653.
Día de aproximación de Pi[editar]
El "Día de aproximación de Pi" puede ser señalado en cualquiera de estas fechas:
- 22 de julio, 22/7 en el formato de fecha internacional. 22/7
 3,14286 es una aproximación de pi. (DIA DE MARIA LA MAGDALENA)
- 26 de abril (o 25 de abril , dia de SAN JUAN MARCOS en años bisiestos), el día en que la Tierra completa dos unidades astronómicas de su órbita anual (es decir, dos radianes). La longitud total de la órbita de la Tierra dividida entre la longitud recorrida hasta este día es igual a pi.
- 21 de diciembre (20 de diciembre en años bisiestos), que es el día 355 del año, a la 1:13 PM, coincidiendo con el valor aproximado de 355/113 3,141592; calculado por Zu Chongzhi.
- 10 de noviembre (9 de noviembre en años bisiestos), que es el día número 314 del año de acuerdo con el calendario gregoriano.

Why 56?
The number 56 looks like it may have been significant to the architects:
1. 56 x 56 x 56 times the size of the Great Pyramid: Here the circumference of the earth = length of the pyramid base.
2. 1/56 of the pyramid is the size of the missing capstone described by several sources
3. 1/(56 x 56) times the size of the pyramid is the tiny one of Figure 1 with a base approx. 7 x 7cm.
Coinciding with the unprecedented height of Cheops’s Pyramid there is also an unprecedented feature in its inner layout,
the Grand Gallery.
The length of the Grand Gallery is 91.37 cubits or 47.877 meters.
The middle of the grand gallery is 13.79 cubits (7.22 meters) east of the pyramid’s centre axis.
The Grand Gallery has 7-step corbeled side walls, 2 RC wide at the top and 4 RC wide at the floor.
The floor has a central groove 2 RC wide, flanked by 1 RC floor-ramps on each side.
The Grand Gallery is about 18 RC high vertically, or about 16 RC high perpendicular to its floor.
It is about (200/sqrt(5)) = about 89 RC long.
The Grand Gallery contains two grooves, one in the east wall and one in the west wall. They are 7 inches high, 1 inch deep, and 5 inches up from the 3rd overlapping corbel. They run the entire length of the gallery. Click for a diagram

The details of the Grand Gallery are extremely important and have no parallel in any other structure on Earth*
Its geometric design predicts that sound originating within its space is focused through a passageway past the Antechamber and into the granite complex known as the King’s Chamber.
This phenomena has been noted by musicians, acoustical engineers, military scientist and laypeople alike.
Some of the more puzzling features of this architectural acoustical miracle, however, are not adequately explained by conventional literature or, indeed, in any other literature.

In the center Plato (#1), holding the Timaeus and pointing to the heavens, speaks with Aristotle (#2), holding the Ethics and gesturing towards the earth. They are framed by the triumphal arch above as well as by barrel vaults and sky; they are also surrounded by the largest number of people (#3-10, 52-56). In addition, #11 is ascending the stairs, leaving the geometers and astronomers below, while #12 points out Plato and Aristotle to him. Figure #13 is intently writing while a friend (#14) looks on in interest. At the far right, others are coming in, the younger two (#17 and 18) looking curiously at those below. The old man (#16) is eagerly moving in a different direction, apparently towards Plato and Aristotle. Above the thoughtful old man (#15) who gestures downward like Aristotle, is the statue of Athena, goddess of wisdom, crafts, and war. She is dressed in military garb and on her shield is the terrifying face of the Gorgon. Below her is a relief of Virtue elevated upon clouds, holding one hand at her breast, the seat of valor, while extending the other toward the earth with the scepter of her empire.

According to legend, Christian Rosenkreuz was a doctor who discovered and learned esoteric wisdom on a pilgrimage to the Middle East among Turkish, Arab, and Persian sages, possibly Sufi or Zoroastrian masters, supposedly in the early 15th century (see section below on Symbolism) ; returned and founded the “Fraternity of the Rose Cross” with himself (Frater C.R.C.) as Head of the Order. Under his direction a Temple, called Sanctus Spiritus, or “The House of the Holy Spirit”, was built.
The legend presented in the Manifestos has been interpreted symbolically (as were all hermetic and alchemical texts of those times). They do not directly state Christian Rosenkreuz’s years of birth and death, but in two sentences in thesecond Manifesto the year 1378 is presented as being the birth year of “our Christian Father”, and it is stated that he lived for 106 years, which would mean he died in 1484.[5] The foundation of the Order can be supposed in similar terms to have occurred in the year 1407. However, these numbers (and deduced years) are not taken literally by many students of occultism, who consider them to be allegorical and symbolic statements for the understanding of the Initiated. The justification for this relies on the Manifestos themselves: on the one hand, the Rosicrucians clearly adopted through the Manifestos the Pythagorean tradition of envisioning objects and ideas in terms of their numeric aspects, and, on the other hand, they directly state,
“We speak unto you by parables, but would willingly bring you to the right, simple, easy and ingenuous exposition, understanding, declaration, and knowledge of all secrets.”

The significance of 137–8 and 147 is best understood if NOT taken literally, I agree … allow me to illustrate.
The metaphorical nature of these legends lends a nebulous quality to the origins of Rosicrucianism. The opening of Rosenkreuz’s tomb is thought to be a way of referring to the cycles in nature and to cosmic events; and as well, to the opening of new possibilities for mankind consequent on the advances of the 16th and early 17th centuries. Similarly, Rosenkreuz’s pilgrimage seems to refer to the transmutation steps of the Great Work.
Similar legends may be found in Wolfram von Eschenbach‘s description of the Holy Grail as the “Lapis Exillis“, guarded by the Knights Templar, or in the Philosophers’ stone of the alchemists, the “Lapis Elixir“.

Some occultists including Rudolf Steiner, Max Heindel[3] and (much later) Guy Ballard, have stated that Rosenkreuz later reappeared as the Count of St. Germain, a courtier, adventurer, and alchemist who reportedly died on February 27, 1784. Steiner once identified Rembrandt’s painting “‘A Man in Armour’” as a portrait of Christian Rosenkreuz, apparently in a 17th century manifestation. Others believe Rosenkreuz to be a pseudonym for a more famous historical figure, usually Francis Bacon.

It is described that on the Sarcophagus in the centre of the Crypt of Christian Rosenkreutz were written, among other inscriptions the words, “Jesus mihi omnia, nequaquam vacuum, libertas evangelii, dei intacta gloria, legis jugum,” (being in translation, “Jesus is everything to me, by no means a vacuum/a vacuum by no means exists, the freedom of the good news/gospel, the inviolate glory of god, the yoke of the law”) testifying to the builder’s Christian character. Rosenkreuz’s crypt, according to the description presented in the legend, seems to be located in the interior parts of the Earth, recalling the alchemical motto VITRIOL: “Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem
“Visit the Interior Parts of the Earth; by Rectification Thou Shalt Find the Hidden Stone.”
