Adelante! Mary Magdalene: Woman and Archetype
Poised on the threshold of the third Christian millennium, she stands in all her power and majesty, still clasping her alabaster jar. Who is the woman whom the Christian Gospels call "the Magdalene"? How can we have failed for so many centuries to recognize the Bride, the "Divine Complement" of Christ? As Jesus incarnates the "Logos," the masculine manifestation of the unseen and indescribably holy One, Mary Magdalene embodies his beloved sister-bride, the "Sophia," described in Gnostic texts as the "spouse" and "mirror of God's creative power" and in Hebrew Scripture as God's "delight."
Numerous medieval artists painted Mary Magdalene regal, dressed in gold brocade, wrapped in a crimson robe. They were fully aware that in the nuptial ode of the Messianic King, Psalm 45, the Bride is dressed in embroidered apparel of gold brocade, a passage that was part of her feast-day Mass liturgy for centuries, until 1969 when the Roman Catholic Church reorganized its calendar and dropped the allusion to the Bride. That earlier liturgy had also included a passage spoken by the Bride from the Song of Songs: "Set me as a seal on your heart, a seal on your arm" along with a reference the raising of her brother Lazarus. Church Fathers had thus acknowledged the passionate devotion of Mary Magdalene for Jesus, so obvious in the Gospels, and recognized her as the "Beloved" who had anointed Jesus at Bethany (John 11:2; 12:3).
Mary Magdalene is the only person mentioned by all four evangelists at the scene of both cross and tomb, and John's Gospel assigns to her alone the unique privilege of being the first witness to the Resurrection. She embodies the archetype of the "Sister Bride" who, in ancient liturgies honoring the "Sacred Marriage" of the Divine Complements, first anoints the Sacred King and later goes to the tomb to mourn the his death and is overjoyed to find him resurrected. How can we have failed to identify the archetypal Bride and Bridegroom of the Christian mythology, so clearly parallel to other divine couples celebrated in rites of Spring?—Easter is named for Oestare, one of the goddesses derived from Ishtar, the goddess of Babylon. The ancient rites celebrated the gifts of renewal and regeneration at the Spring Equinox—the eternal return of the Life Force and the balance manifested in the "Cosmic Dance" of all that is.
Modern scholars have been working hard to reclaim for Mary Magdalene the title "Apostle to the Apostles," based on her encounter with Jesus on Easter morning (John 20) when he sends her to tell his brothers that he is going to his father. Since apostolos means "messenger," that title is justified. She was the first witness to the Good News of the Risen Christ and joyfully carried that news to the community. The title "Apostle" makes Mary Magdalene about equal to Peter and others of the "chosen twelve." Acknowledging this role of Mary Magdalene may help women to reclaim positions of authority in the Church, to preach and to teach alongside the male clergy.
But reclaiming Mary Magdalene as an Apostle will not heal the wasteland of western culture nor cause the desert to bloom.
Only by reclaiming Mary Magdalene as "Bride" can we restore the balance that was once at the very heart of the Christian story, modeled by the Archetypal Bridegroom and his Beloved. The "Way" of Christ and Magdalene is the Sacred Union of the Mind and Heart, the Reunion of the Logos and the Sophia.
No longer shall she be called "Forsaken" and her lands "Desolate"— but she shall be called "Beloved," and her lands "Espoused." Isaiah 62:4

A Heavenly Annuniciation?
I recently received an email asking if I thought the recent conjunction between Venus and Jupiter, together with the crescent Moon and the Pleiades (perhaps better known as the "seven sisters") on the feast of the Annunciation on 25th March held any significance. I remember reading an interesting blog article on this subject which Spirit Daily linked to around the time of this event, but hadn't really given it much thought until I was asked about it (hence the lateness of this post in relation to event in question). The full article can be found on Daniel O'Connor's blog here, and I'll quote some of the relevant content below:
On March 25, 2012, millions of Christians (Catholic and Orthodox) will celebrate the “Annunciation” – which commemorates the conception of Jesus. This March 25, there will be a neat astronomical arrangement in the sky, that seems to mesh nicely. See the description below:
The sky will be spectacular in the west after sunset on March 25, 2012, with the waxing crescent moon and the planet Jupiter very close to each other in the evening twilight sky. Plus Venus is nearby – the sky’s brightest planet. You’ll see Jupiter and the moon below Venus in the west after sunset. The famous Pleiades star cluster is above Venus.
For centuries Mary has been referred to as the “Morning Star”, the popular name of the Planet Venus. In this configuration, the Morning Star appears with the moon at her feet. The Pleiades (from “peleiades” the Greek word for doves) overshadows the Morning Star. Jupiter, the “King Planet” approaches the configuration. The symbolism is striking. This is a interesting arrangement for the mystery of the Annunciation which heralds Christ’s coming through Mary.We should first note that while the practise of astrology (attempting to discern future events through an elaborate system of occult interpretation) is condemned by the Church, the Bible clearly teaches that important events are often heralded by symbolic astronomical and geophysical phenomena. For example the birth of Christ was accompanied by the appearance of the Star of Bethlehem. And during his eschatological discourse on Mount Olivet, Jesus explicitly states that great signs would appear in the heavens before His Second Coming: There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.(Luke 21:11) “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”(Luke 21:25-28) This is followed by Peter's eschatological sermon during the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost: And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.(Acts 2:19-20) The Book of Revelation also foretold that the unbinding of Satan's chains "for a little while" (which I argue corresponds to the "100" years given to Satan in the Prophecy of Pope Leo XIII) would be signified by a star fallen to earth: Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. (Rev 20:1-3) And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth...(Rev 9:1-3) (See the earlier post Tunguska, Pope Leo XIII, and the Opening of the Abyss, where I equate this "fallen star" to the Tunguska event of 1908) And the sounding of the third trumpet in Rev 8 was predicted to be accompanied by the sign of a great star falling from heaven "blazing like a torch" (which I equate with the last appearance of Halley's Comet and its timing in relation to the Chernobyl disaster in the post Chernobyl, Wormwood, and the Hrushiv Apparitions). Perhaps most importantly, the opening of the sixth seal in the Book of Revelation was foretold to be accompanied by a combination of an earthquake, a total solar eclipse, a total lunar eclipse and a major meteor shower (which in the post Signs in the Sky, I point out all occurred at the turn of the millennium centred on modern Turkey - the location of Pergamum in Asia Minor, which the Apocalypse identifies as "the throne of Satan" in Rev 2:13). As I argue in Unveiling the Apocalypse, the eschatological astronomical phenomena described at the opening of the sixth seal in Rev 6, is once again recapitulated in Rev 12. The Woman Adorned with the Sun with the Moon at her feet represents a total solar eclipse - which corresponds to the Sun turning "black as sackcloth" in Rev 6:12. The Moon at the Woman's feet represents the Dragon intent on devouring her Child, and the red colour of the Dragon represents the reddish hue typical of a total lunar eclipse, which in turn corresponds to the Moon becoming blood-red at the opening of the sixth seal. And the Dragon sweeping a third of the stars from the sky in Rev 12:4, directly refers to the stars falling from the sky in Rev 6:13 (which is also recapitulated again at the sounding of the fourth trumpet in Rev 8:12, when a third of the Sun, Moon and stars are struck). The twelve stars around the Woman's head are traditionally associated with the Twelve Apostles; but they also represent the twelve tribes of Israel, as is shown by the allusion of this verse to Joseph's dream in Gen 37: Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”(Gen 37:9) The eleven stars symbolise the sons of Jacob who make up the tribes of Israel, with the tribe of Joseph being divided between his two sons - Mannaseh and Ephraim, bringing the number up to twelve. So the twelve stars around the Woman's head in Rev 12 is a further allusion to the opening of the sixth seal, which includes the sealing of the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel in Rev 7. The manifold similarities between the opening of the sixth seal in Rev 6 and the sealing of the saints in Rev 7, held in juxtaposition with the unfolding of the Divine Drama of Rev 12 and marking of the inhabitants of the earth with the mark of the Beast in Rev 13, further confirms that the bestowing of the saints with the Seal of God is an antithetical parallelism to those who are marked with the number of the Beast. Chapters 6 and 7 of the Apocalypse are therefore directly connected with chapters 12-13, and forms a theological diptych which deliberately contrasts these portions of the Book of Revelation. Since they both describe the same events, the astronomical signs at the opening of the sixth seal thus herald the eschatological casting of Satan to earth described in Rev 12 (which must be distinguished from his primordial fall from grace), and the subsequent rise of the Beast from the sea to mark the inhabitants of the earth in Rev 13 should be considered to be a direct inversion of the sealing of the saints in Rev 7 - events which logically would coincide at the same moment in real-time. Now that we have determined that astrology should be clearly distinguished from the Bible's admonition to regard certain astronomical signs as portentous of contemporary and future world events, we can safely discuss whether the particular planetary conjunction on the 25th March may be imbued with any religious significance. Since it took place on the feast of the Annunciation, it would follow that any particular event this may signify would only be revealed nine months later - the gestation period of an unborn child. So we could safely assert that we would know exactly if it does indeed herald any future event during the Christmas period - close to the rather ominous date of 21st December 2012. We will only know that it was truly a sign if anything of historical or religious importance occurs around this time period. As exactly to what event it could herald can only be guessed at. We can be almost certain that it is not the Second Coming of Christ, since the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that this pivotal moment in salvation history is delayed until the future conversion of the Jews - an event which is synonymous with the Second Pentecost and the preaching of the Gospel to the ends of the earth: "The glorious Messiah's coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by "all Israel", for "a hardening has come upon part of Israel" in their "unbelief" toward Jesus. St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old." St. Paul echoes him: "For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?" The "full inclusion" of the Jews in the Messiah's salvation, in the wake of "the full number of the Gentiles", will enable the People of God to achieve "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ", in which "God may be all in all".(CCC 674 See full text here) We have clearly not reached the stage of the conversion of the Jews at the Second Pentecost just yet, but there are other prophesied events that it may concern. The promised religious revival to take place at the Second Pentecost is almost certainly the next major prophesied event that is to take place - at least according to any provisional schedule which may be determined from analysing the eschatological events foretold in Scripture. So could it herald the coming of the Second Pentecost itself? This event seems to be intimately related to the prophecies of the ministry of the Two Witnesses and the martyrdom of a future pontiff. And in turn these events also appear to be connected to the "great sign" promised in various prophecies, including those of St. Fautina and Our Lady of Akita. Therefore any of these events are the most likely prophetic occurrences yet to unfold at the highly significant schedule relating to the date of 21st December 2012. Yet foremostly it has to be admitted that the most likely explanation is that this particular date bears no significance at all to the date of the end-time (especially not to Christianity), and that like every other prophesied date purporting to pinpoint the end of the world, it will come to nought. We can only be left guessing until nearer the time. Either way, it is extremely unwise to tie ourselves to an exact date - especially when we know that the coming of the Lord will be as a "thief in the night" (Rev 16:15), and that we should always be prepared for the arrival of the Groom. Attempting to to preempt this crescendo of salvation history through the process of logic is all but impossible. We can only conclude with the same prayer as the apostle himself and subject ourselves to the immanent glory of Christ - Maranatha! "Come, Lord Jesus!" (Rev 22:20).

Creation HyperHolograph: The First Day |

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 1.1-5
To analyse Genesis 1.1-5, I begin by separating the text into the following eight consecutive grammatical chunks. The value of each segment is listed in the second column:
ID |

G1 |
1998 |

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. |
G5 |

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. |
G6 |

G8 |
2141 |
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. |
Total: 10977 |
|
The numerical weights of these chunks are displayed below. Note the deep integration with the Holographic Generating Set (A = 27, B = 37, C = 73):
G1 + G2 |
= BC (Prime Composition of 2701) |
= Sum(C) (Triangular Structure) |
= Sum(B)+ 2AB (Triangular Substructure) |
G2 |
= 703 = Sum(B) (Triangular Structure) |
= 19B (Hex/Star pair 19/37) |
G1 + G2 + G3 |
= 3 x 813 = 18 x 271 (Tenth Hexagon = 271) |
G5 |
= 813 = 3 x 271 |
G7 |
= 813 = 3 x 271 |
G5 + G6 |
= 1776 = 48 x 37 = 48B |
G6 + G7 |
= 1776 = 48 x 37 = 48B |
G4 |
= 1369 = 372 = B2 |
G5 to G8 |
= 4730 = 10 x 473 (Genesis!) |
= 43 (Majestic) x 110 (Foundation) |
= 43(B + C) |
The first and most astounding thing that leaps out from these identities is the recurrence of the Numbers 1776 and 813. They occur together in verses 3 and 4 in a tightly integrated fashion:

The relations are astounding. The Number 271 - the large prime factor of 813 - is the Tenth Hexagonal Number found in the heart of the prime Star Number 541 (Israel). Likewise, the Number 37 - the only prime factor of 1776 larger than 3 - is the bifigurate heart of the Creation HyperHolograph, being both the third Star and the fourth Centered Hexagon. The Number 1776 is also integrated with the Great Seal of the United States of America, which God raised up as a witness to the Everlasting Light of Jesus Christ. We now can represent the above relations as symmetric combinations of the hexagonal numbers 271 and 37, which are very closely related to the first two elements of the Holographic Generating Set (A = 27, B = 37, C = 73):

This is the prime structure of Genesis 1.3-4, the Creation of Light! Glory! The two largest prime factors are both Centered Hexagons, and the small factors are all powers of 2 and 3. This is the definition of integrity, the defining characteristic of Biblical Holographs. The verses are symmetrically divided into four overlapping segments that are multiples of two primes - Hexagons both - and one of which is the very Heart of Wisdom itself! And this, all in the verses declaring God's creation of Light. Endless, miraculous glory! This structure is divine to the core - straight from the Mind of God. It is immutable, unchangable, eternal, and He has given it to us to reveal Himself that we might know Him who is the fullness of all in all with all the fullness of the intellect created in the image of God. This is the purpose of this study. Time and again, I am asked what this study is good for - well this is it - it is good to know the Mind and Thoughts of our Creator, and to behold the glory of His Eternal Word!
Yet we have but just begun. The Number 271 arises from the GenSet as a variation on the theme of 2701 (Genesis 1.1):
271 |
= 10A + 1 = (B - A)A + 1 = AB + 1 - A2 = 103 - 93 |
2701 |
= 100A + 1 = (C + A)A + 1 = AC + 1 + A2 |
These kind of relations are typical of GenSet identites (cf. Table of GenSet Binary Products). The last identity on top reveals the Number 271 as the difference between the 9th and 10th cubes. This results from the general property of Hexagons as the difference of sequential cubes, coupled with the facts that AB + 1 = 999 + 1 = 1000 and A2 = 729 = 93. Obviously, all of this is deeply integrated with the GenSet and Base Ten. A solid foundation for Creation! Yet even more astounding is the discovery that the elements of the GenSet and the Number 271 are all factors in the small repunits which are required for numbers to return to unity after division characteristic of creation.
Here is a visual representation of the numerical relations implicit in Genesis 1.1-5. The Number 37 is bifigurate. It represents both the Hexagonal core of 73-as-Star, and the Star associated with 19-as-Hexagon. I alternate between Hexagonal and Star representations simply for the symmetry it yields in the image below:

The dotted line from the prime Hexagonal Number 271 to the G4 segment is meant to indicate that it is the ordinal value of G4, when the Spirit of God moved upon the waters.
The Creation of Light portion of this structure (Genesis 1.3-5) integrates with the Wheel of Light - where the word Light (Aur = 207) is found to be auto-correlated on a Cycle of 22 letters.
The next article details the divine integration of this five-verse Creation passage with the primary five-verse creation passage of the New Testament - John 1.1-5, the Divine Prologue.

[GR] > The Divine Tapestry of John 1.1 |

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1.1
The sevenfold Logos Star is perhaps the greatest jewel to be found in the alphanumeric structure of Scripture. It is a geometric representation of God the Word - Jesus Christ, the Creator! Such a gift He has given of Himself! And as He was born of the Jews, so He gave them His sign, the universally recognized Jewish symbol, the Star of David, the basis of the Logos Star.
The text of the first five verses of John's Gospel - the revelation of the Logos - are without parallel in Scripture. They are extremely well preserved - the Majority Text indicates no variants whatsover! This is extremely rare in Scripture. To find such perfection here in these seminal verses that are in fact part of the great Creation Holograph is yet another witness of the divine preservation of God's Word.
The Logos Star is integrated with the text of John 1.1:

The two texts in red are united by the large prime Number 373:

The Numbers 73 and 373 form the basis of the Logos Holograph.
I am greatly indebted to Iain Strachen who first showed me how these words are integrated with the geometric represtentation of the Word in the form of the Logos Star. The profound theological truth of the unity between God and His Word - found in the text of Scripture - is reiterated in the pair of numerical identities above. Yet this is but the beginning of wonders. Woven into these letters is the geometric structure of the Logos Star. I say woven because its structure is found in the sum of alternating letters, as displayed below:

Is is important to note the degree of integration exhibited hear. To begin with, the Numbers 19 and 37 form a Hexagon / Star pair:

All such products of Hexagon / Star pairs are Triangular. Two of these products figure prominently in Genesis 1.1:
19 x 37 = Sum(37) = 703 = And the earth (Last two words of Genesis 1.1)
37 x 73 = Sum(73) = 2701 = Sum of Genesis 1.1
These Hexagon / Star pairs are deeply integrated with the fundamental words used in Scripture. Most obviously significant is the palindromic pair of primes (37 / 73) which are the Ordinal and Standard values of the fundamental Hebrew word Wisdom, by Which God created the world (Cf. Jeremiah :
Wisdom

Hokmah
|
|
|
37 = 8 + 11 + 13 + 5 (Ordinal Value) |
 |
73 = 8 + 20 + 40 + 5 (Standard Value) |
Exactly the same pattern - based now on the Hexagon/Star pair 19/37 - is found in the Hebrew word for The Heart:
The Heart

HaLev
|
|
|
19 = 5 + 12 + 2 (Ordinal Value) |
 |
37 = 5 + 30 + 2 (Standard Value) |
Now we return to the geometric structure of Genesis 1.1 and note that the internal structure of the entire verse is built on both Hexagon / Star pairs involving the Number 37:
This means that the Hexagon/Star pairs of Genesis 1.1 - the Creation Holograph - are inextricably integrated with the concepts of The Heart (19/37) and Wisdom (37/73), with the linking Number being 37 and the linking geometric form being the Star of David! Is there no end to the wonders of our God?
HaLev is an anagram of (Lahav) which means flame, glittering, or brightness. It also refers to the blade of a sword because of the glittering light that comes from its edge. The fact that it is in anagram of HaLev means that its Ordinal and Standard values also form the Hexagon/Star pair 19/37.
We have therefore an extremely apt set of associations found in the heart of the origin of God's everlasting Word! The Sword of the Spirit! Taking all these associtations together yields the image of the sum of Genesis 1.1 and the Logos Star as expressing something like:
Sum of Genesis 1.1 = Flaming Heart (37) of Wisdom (73)
We have ten thousand converging lines of light, focused by God Himself upon the heart of Creation! Glory!
The Logos Star is also integrated with the Number 13 as Star which is the premier symbol of Unity and Love, as revealed in the Unity Holograph. It is composed of 13 counters - 6 Hexagons and 7 Stars - in the form of the Number 13 as Star:

This means that the Logos Star is isomorphic [of the same form] to the Number 13 as Star. This reveals the intrinsic Unity and Love that are inextricably integrated with the Word of God. This is reiterated yet again in the value of the Creation Holograph fragment John 1.1:
Sum of John 1.1 = 3627 = 39 x 93 = 3 x 13 (Ahavah, Love) x 93 (Agape, Love)
