For the coloring of my pumpkin, I selected the sections of this pumpkin image, because I liked the bright colors, and then pasted into the sections of the outline of my pumpkin.  For my text I used Victor's Pixel Font filled with a foreground-background gradient using an orange and a brown color.  I've created a bit of animation with the text by inverting the gradient for each letter.  You can save my tag and take it into Animation Shop and look at the animation if you're interested in that effect.
