I combined a font challenge and a color palette challenge and created a new text tag. The color palette inside the text reminded me of a tequila sunrise (alcoholic drink) so I added an animation text effect, Fade to Black, and now it`s sort of like a sunrise and sunset. I like the effect, so you will probably see more of these with different color palettes lol.

going to be hard getting up early again. haven't felt like playing on the computer much lately. can't remember a password for a site I was using and can't reset my password because they said I did not register my email. Hopefully I can figure it out soon. lol

Omigosh, it`s a hot one today. The heatwave that I expected in August (we have one every year) came late and now is dragging into September. My area of California is usually not too hot and we`ve had weather in the 100s

. I`m definitely not a fan of heat

I plan to take it easy today and look for some tuts to play with. My skills are rusty and I can`t remember how to do some things. Doing tutorials always greases the gears of my mind.&bnsp; But if I find that I am unable to concentrate then I will probably play with a font or two

.

I was also going to post some notes on a board about making lines. There are different filters that create linear effects on tags, and so I will be keeping a list for myself (and anyone else who is interested to look).

This is a screenshot of the old MSN Groups message editor.

When you clicked the insert image icon (it`s the yellow icon with the mountain) a window would open that would list groups that you were a member of (as well as any groups that you had selected as groups that you like to visit). You would click on a group, like Animations & Smilies, and ALL the albums in that group would be listed. Then you could scroll through the list of albums and choose one. Once you clicked on that album, all the images in the album would display and you just had to click one to select it to insert into your message.

At Gabitos, you can still have an album with images inside, but you can`t get access from the insert image icon. You have to visit the album, locate the image and then copy the URL to paste into the message editor. Or alternatively, you can drag and drop the image from the album into the message editor.

I have been using the message editor for months now, so I am used to it but most of you probably are not as you haven`t posted over 300 times lol. Most of us have been through so many changes with getting used to new forums and new image hosting sites. I`m a member of another PSP group who uses servimg.com as their forum image hosting site. Servimg converts my PNG images to JPEG images and changes the size and image quality. One GIF that I tried to upload wouldn`t even upload (maybe it was too big). So I would say that no place is perfect for all people and all situations. You just have to adjust as best as you can until you get used to it. There are many things that I do not like about this place or that place or this image hosting site or that one.

Some PSP groups moved to Aimoo, some to Proboards, some to Forumotion, etc. I`m sure each of them have something that isn`t ideal to everyone. If you want to be a manager and all that comes with managing a group, then you can choose the "goldilocks" site that fits you just right and make a new home there. I chose Gabitos because of all the places that I have been, it`s the EASIEST for me to manage. I suffer from migraines and sometimes I can barely get a sentence out of my mouth let alone try to navigate a control panel with so many options it does my head in. It`s easier for me to navigate to the picture albums to grab the URL for an image than to try to unlock/lock this forum or that forum or try to decide with permissions to apply to this group of people or that group yadda yadda. Let the people who can manage that have those complicated forums; I will stay here as I need to have a place to post my tutorials and this is the best fit for me.

If anyone is having trouble with Gabitos, I am happy to help you. If you want all the conveniences that you experienced at Yuku or other forums, then I am sorry that I can not provide that for you (I am not a web designer). If you would like to adjust to this place, then please feel free to practice posting messages or creating a picture album, or whatever you want to practice, and ask me questions if you need to know how to do something.

We had about 1 1/2 hour of rain and some thunder and lightening last night. It was nice for a change. Back to warm weather today, sunny and in the low 80's. Hugs and prayers to all.

Thanks for the post. I had to laugh about how bad my memory has gotten. But then it hit me and the memories started coming with your explaination for how msn use to work. I miss that place. Your new home is very nice and I'm excited to be here. I appreciate your time and instructions. I will be spending some time trying to understand how Gobitos works. I will try and set up a group to get even more familiar with it.

I have come across some groups at proboards, amioo was the first place I went before Yuku when the first trasfers were happening at msn. Never did get the hang of it.

So sorry about your headaces. Nothing worse than being in pain.

I will be back as often as I get time from the Library and the senior center.
