Thanks for writing this smiley tutorial, Judy!   Smiley tags are some of my most favorite .  Sadly I discovered yesterday that Livepencil has closed his website .  Apparently the cost was too much to maintain.  Luckily there are still some smileys that can be saved from the wayback machine .

Here's my results.  I had to adjust the size of my text and the kerning so the smiley would land inside of a letter instead of on the side LOL.  That would hurt, eh?

Awww, timber.  Without you, this tut would not exist today!  That is the truth, LOL.

Thanks for posting your results and I'm so glad you mentioned adjusting the kerning.  That is something I didn't think to address in the tut.  It all depends on the size of your text and the shape of the letters in your name.

I hate to hear that about Livepencil.   I need to checkout the wayback machine before everything is gone.

Judy, I sent you an email in regards to Livepencil .

And look what I just bumped into .  You made this tag for me, and I like how you stretched the letters to make them taller and that you added an extra smiley at the bottom to dress it up .  These smileys are fun to play with!

Oh my, I had forgotten about that tag!  Yes, these smileys are fun to play with.

I got your message, thanks.

Here is another older smiley tag that you made for me.  I love all of these old tags.

I gave this tut a go! And it was cute - your other little smiley tags are cute too lol So much summery fun!

I contracted by 1 px and promoted layer. Then added an EC 4000 glass effect with the following settings: 45.00, 75, inside, -25, 25, 50, 16, 50, white / 135, 45, 100, 40, 0, 300.00, 1 / Mesa. I then duplicated the glass layer and changed the top layer to Burn mode. I used Anja Eliane accent Nornal. *That is what the font title says in drop menu, "Nornal"*

I love smile tags and need to make some more.  They are fun and cute.  This cutie is one by timber.

Hey Jossie,

I didn't note the settings I used but, I did make this tag with a white background and I generally use these settings when I do:

In the Optimization Wizard click the customize tab and select Optimized Median Cut and Error Diffusion.

Hope this helps!

This worked out good --
I'm working on your tut -- I could not find the smiley that I thougt I had put on my stick to
take home with me.

I will be posting my results this week.
Hug, Jossie

I love my gifties, Jossie.    Thanks so much.  I know it is hard starting psp over again.  I have lost everything or almost everything a couple of times!  If there is anything you need that I can help with just let me know.  I'd be glad to help you out.

I can't wait to see your results. ( I still use PSP 8 but I have 9 and X installed.)
