Tutorial Challenge: Wavy Blur by Shirley (Forum Style) - Treehouse Treasures

Wavy Blur

This is a super easy Forum-Style tutorial challenge for you. The only outside plugin is DSB Flux Bright Noise, but you could use PSP Noise or another noise filter of your choice.

For my text I've King Edward Font. I took a tiny selected area from the tube and pasted it into a text selection to give the text a sort of gradient effect. The drop shadow is 2, 2, 25, 2, black.

Have fun with this one; I look forward to seeing your results!

. I love

the tube you chose and the colors (they are so soothing). How clever you were to add some word art to your tag (I always forget to add word art). By the look of it I'm guessing the blend mode was set to Burn. I love the burn blend mode.

I use the Burn Blend Mode with stuff like this. Basically, that is what I used beside the usual DS and Expand for an outline :D What I ended up doing was setting the "wavy blur" image on top of the "circle" layer - I float/invert to remove the excess part of the wavy blur layer, using the circle layer as the base.

When I worked on my graphic, I was sleepy. When I was working on the redo of my "Smile" tag, I told myself I would go to sleep after that. But... you know LOL!!! I do not know if you could tell in my post :D

I think I chose a good tube to work on. She is a classy and sassy gal lol ♥

Well, I could not follow the directions - they confused me - so I did things differently to try and get the same results. I do not think I can share my steps because there was so much I did and undid (my poor brain).
