Hello and Welcome, SilentEyez!

I see that you were able to manage the Spanish-language registration process, so that is good. Most of everything at this group will be in English, but there are still a few items that have not yet been translated to English (like the message editor), so I recommend using Google Translate for any text that you don`t understand.

I saw your note on the Daily Greetings thread and you said you were familiar with my tutorials. Was that from my Yuku site? I also had some of my tutorials posted way back in the MSN Days as well. I`m happy that you were able to find my little corner of the internet. Most people don`t search for PSP8 tutorials any longer, but it`s the version that I`m still using myself LOL.

I have not added all my tutorials to this group because they were written using PSP8 which as you know is a very old version. But if there is any tutorial that you have an interest in, then you can request it and I`ll add it to the group. Just read the instructions on the Timber Tuts page to request a tutorial.

My group is mainly for hosting my PSP Tutorials but I also like to do tutorials written by other writers and I like to share my results and encourage others to do the tutorial and show their results along with some notes about how they personalized their tag. You`ll see those on the General board as Tutorial Challenges. There is no regularity as to how often a Tutorial Challenge is posted. I post them when I have completed a tutorial. I`ve been so busy lately that I haven`t been doing as many challenges as I would like to, so the pace here is very relaxed. And I also encourage members to post challenges as well, so you will see some challenges posted by Judy. If you are interested in posting a challenge for the group, then let me know and I can explain how to do that.

There`s no pressure here to post or participate although I definitely encourage it, but I want you to feel comfortable, so just join in as you like. It would be nice to know a little of your PSP history and what art software you use.

When you have a moment, please read the Getting Started page. It will kind of familiarize you with how I`ve set things up. I`m sure I haven`t covered everything, so if you have any questions, then don`t hesitate to ask. I hope to see some of your work!

Thank you so much, Timber! You had your own website, am I right? I do remember the MSN groups as well as the Yahoo group days. I absolutely loved the sig tag creations and the resource shares. Back home in L.A., I have a TON of files saved onto my desktop computer. I even ran out of space and could not save anymore things to it lol

My first purchased program was PSP 8 and sometime later, I purchased PS Elements 2. Could not figure out the PS so I only used my PSP 8 - I LOVE IT! Through group shares, I was able to get ahold of PSP 9, X and I think also 11 and 12 but from those I only worked very rarely in PSP 9. Also, I got ahold of PS CS2. I am not a pro (heh heh) in any of the programs but I still try to make something cute, pretty or decent lol On my laptop, I have downloaded PSP 4, 8, x8 and 2018 trial. I installed PS CS2 a while back to my laptop but I didnt really use it anyway.

I have tried quite a few tutorials throughout the time and I wish that I can get back on track with all of that. It is sad that MANY of the websites are long gone now. I remember trying out your Gold Bling Text (which I totally LOVE and have done a lot of things with the effect), Cloudy Text, Simply Floating and St. Charles Silk. I am not sure if I have the files saved in my PB account, if I do then I will surely share them here :)

Oh! I have a question... are we allowed to share outside links to resources and whatnot? I know of two websites that offer stuff I know this group would enjoy for their creations :)

P.S. I speak and read spanish (although, I have gotten bad through the years), so I was able to navigate okay :D

Wow... so you've dabbled a bit with many different versions of PSP!  I have at least one other version of PSP (9) but I haven't installed it yet.

At my Yuku, now Tapatalk, group I had many links to old tutorials and other resources that I wanted to update and move over here, but it's a work in progress.  Those forums are still available to view but I have noticed that many of the links are no longer valid, but you can still look around.  Go to Timber Tags.  If you are looking for any tutorial in particular, don't hesitate to give a holler because I can find lots of old things through the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, and I know that Judy also has links to old stuff.

As far as sharing links to outside resources, yes, feel free to share.  I have some sharing threads for supplies set up on the PSP Supplies message board.  If you can't find something or don't know where to post something, just start a new thread on the General board and I can sort it out.

It's good to have you here!  Talk to you soon.
