Text Twinkle
This tutorial is very "old school" but I love the simplicity of it. The plugin filters you will need are SuperBladePro, Xenofex 2 Constellation, and Italian Editors Mosaico.
- The text is glassed with SuperBladePro, but if you don't have it then you can use Eye Candy 3 Glass (there's a tutorial here with bevel settings for the glass filter).
- The text is animated with Xenofex2 Constellation, but you can use Xenofex1 Constellation. If you don't have Constellation, you could use PSP Noise or DSB Flux Noise.
- Before applying the Mosaico filter, make sure your foreground and background colors are set to white (the colors in the materials palette will affect the coloration of the mosaic).
- You may need to play with the blend mode setting of the tube-filled text layer. When I used Soft Light I could barely see the tube fill, so experiment with the blend mode on that layer and possibly add a duplicate layer and adjust the opacity until you can see it.
I used PSP Noise to animate my text. The font I used is Gang of Three.
Have fun with this one; I can't wait to see your results! |

Timber, I love the tube you used and the colors are gorgeous!
I really enjoyed doing this tut. This is my second try, LOL. I used the plugins and settings as given in the tut. I did play with the blend mode settings of the tube-filled text and finally duplicated the layer once. I set both of these tube-filled layers to softlight and lowered the visibilty of the top one to 66 percent.
I used the font Fabrese Demi.
