El Rio Lobo
I found this sparkly Cinco De Mayo graphic that inspired me to create text to look like it. I haven't created the text just yet, but I wanted to put a Font Challenge here for anyone else who wants to give the font a play.

If you have a go at this challenge I would love to see the tags that you create! |

Here is my try at the gradient filled text. It's not as sparkly as the one timber posted.

Lookin' good, Judy! Thanks for giving this challenge a play! Did you make three different gradients or what? Can you tell me a little about that? |

I used a gradient I have named revchak. I can share it if anyone wants it.
I typed all of the text at once. Because the words weren't as close together as I wanted, I used the deform tool to select each word and paste it as a new layer. I could then move each word where I wanted it.
At first I tried one word at a time with the gradient fill but, it fill the word with the whole gradient. Does that make sense?

Here is what I came up with!
I was having a hard time coming up with something that looked good. Then, that (up there) happened lol Then, these happened (created the gradient for each word as I typed them):

Sparkle fills by: A-Lyts
Glitter Flakes by: Glitters Galore
Bg fill by: me
I think you did an amazing job, Judy!
And Timber, those are cute taggies!! |

Yes, Judy, please share that gradient! I understand your explanation, thank you . I think I remember with that font that I needed to adjust the Leading (on the Text Tool) to bring the lines of text closer together. Ohhh... sparkles! Wow, Karla, those are quite eye catching . Did you save the gradients that you used? Sharing is caring, don'tchaknow? Thanks for the compliment on my tag, it was made by Jossie. Thanks so much for giving this challenge a play, I sure enjoyed seeing all the dazzling results! |

Awesome results, Karla. I love your glittery effect.
Thanks for the idea, timber, I'll try adjusting the leading next time.
I uploaded the gradient revchak to files and documents HERE.
I've had lots of fun playing with this challenge. Thanks again, timber. |

Thanks gals! ♥ The ones I shared are snaggable too - forgot to add that to my post lol
No actual gradient file was saved/used. But these are the colors I used (+ means I am not too sure of the colors):
Happy: #FF0000 red, #FFC642 yellow
Cinco: #FFFF40 yellow+, #00C000 green+
de: #4040FF blue, #94E75A green
Mayo: #42C6FF blue, #C642FF purple
* (alt+174= ®, from same font): used the colors in "Happy" and "Mayo"
Foreground-background: Nothing fancy done to the gradient settings, 0, 0, first Style |
