Eye Candy 4000 Glass Settings
These are the glass settings that I probably use the most.

First go to Settings and reset to factory default (F5),
and then apply these settings to the Basic tab.

I've created a sample preview of a thin font, Arial, and a thick font, Arial Black.  The first three letters of my name in both samples have just the glass settings applied.  The last three letters of my name have the glass applied after first applying an inner bevel.  Without the bevel, the text looks more glossy than glassy IMO.

Well, hot diggity! I was so wanting to get a setting that makes text GLASSY. I just tested it out, right now, bevel + glass and I am like WHOA lol And I am like DRRRRR because I have done your Amazon Southwest tut before and did not remember that part (bevel + glass) *ack!*

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!

Oh, cool, Karla, I'm glad you were able to find some settings that work for you!   You may also want to check out the Text Tutorials Index as there are many links to tutorials for glassy text .

Thanks so much for my pretty name tag!   What font did you use?  Enquiring minds want to know teehee.

Hi Timber! I am sorry I am just seeing this. The font I used is called Feeling Lovely (^_^)

So, I have been wanting to get back to doing some of the tutorials here - though, I have been starting from scratch (since I cannot get to my own files) and downloading plugins / filters.

Unfortunately, some of the stuff I have downloaded does not work for me. It gives me the: "Paint Shop Pro was unable to load the requested plug-in filter. The plug-in may not be installed properly or may be missing files". I have yet to figure that out and it is for plugins I really want to use and like.

Okay so, my EC 4000 does not work but I do have EC 5 Impact. I am able to use the Glass filter but the settings are different. And well, I had to tweak it with the settings. It is not close to the look of this awesome bevel & glass but I did my best.

Here are my examples and settings:

Beveled text and Bevel with Glass:

Like I said, it is no where close. And when I add the glass, it "scrunches" up the text (lol, it is the word that pops into my head). So, what I did is duplicate the Beveled text and the top layered one get the glass added to it. That way it hides the "scrunch" or well, the disappearing parts of the text

And these are the settings I did:

The result is not so bad. It gives it a subtle gloss to it. But I prefer the super look of the EC 4000 gives! (^_^) I hope this is still useful to anyone that only has / uses EC 5 Impact. I will keep tweaking the settings to see what I can come up with. If I get anything good, I will share.

P.S. Timber, I posted a message in the Links board with a bunch of Valentine / Hearts fonts. (^_~)

Omg, I totally forgot to add the font info. It is Falencia Italic @ 92. I got the font at Creative Fabrica.

I am sharing some results (I quickly went to play after previous post lol). I totally LOVE the different looks in the Reflection Map. So instead of "None", click Select from File and select from the list it shows below. Here are some of my FAVORITE looks:

They are shown with a color enhancement.
Adjust > or click Enhance Photo to get to

Automatic Saturation Enhancement:
Bias: More colorful
Strength: Strong

If anyone tries this out, I would love to see your result(s)! (^_^)

Here is another play at it. In the Reflection Map, I selected Sky-Dusk. The color I used for my name is #8362ff. Color enhanced work.

For this one, I applied the glass effect TWICE. I love how it turned out!
